Snug swaddle

Monica Bassett

This swaddle snugs my baby just right and is Soo easy to use. Love it going to buy two more 😁

Sleep sack

Haley Upchurch

This sleep sack is perfect for my baby! The Velcro straps are wonderful and make for an easy wear. My baby sleeps at least 8 hour stretches since I bought this when he was 6 weeks old!

Exceptional Swaddle

Fran

Gave it as a gift — the baby loves being in it — the family loves the calming and soothing effect the swaddle offers. Easy to use and was so appreciated! It’s lovely when a gift is helpful and is loved too! Highly recommend!

Game changer, life saver

RF

This was the last swaddle we ever bought (well, we got a few in different colors) after a long unsuccessful journey of other styles/brands. Our baby monster would hulk out of everything we got and would wake themself up from it every night like clockwork. These swaddles are the easiest to put on, baby loves them, and stays in and asleep more consistently. They’re also easy to clean (I recommend velcro-ing them as if baby were wearing so they don’t stick to other items in the wash) and the 2-way zipper makes diaper changes less of a hassle. 5 stars, will buy again!

Best sleep sack

Nicholas Boles

Hands down the best sleep sack out we have tried. I’ve tried at least 10 different brands, Halo and Love to Dream were my previous favorites, but this one takes the cake. My two-month-old twin girls sleep better every single time they wear these. Easy 10/10. Wouldn’t waste money on anything else

Love love love!!

We are big fans of the SNOO from having our first, and someone accidentally gifted us one of these swaddles thinking it was specifically for the SNOO. We ended up taking it to the hospital — and quickly wished we had brought more. When we had twins a year later, this swaddle was at the top of our hospital packing list. It’s easy to use, works great, and was incredibly helpful during those early newborn days. Now it’s my go-to gift anytime I need a newborn present. Highly recommend!

Our favorite swaddle

Samantha Elgut

We love the Sleepea so much! Very comfortable and easy to use. Helps our baby sleep comfortably.

Current favorite

Hanna

So far this is our newborn‘s favorite swaddle! She tolerates it well at night and allows us to get a couple hours of Sleep at a time.

Best Swaddle!

Satisfied Momma

This swaddle worked perfectly once our newborn started to get strong enough to fight the muslin blankets! It kept her contained and her startle at bay until she started to roll. She slept through the night easily in these.

Best swaddle

KatelynT

This is the only swaddle you need. We were frustrated with the more traditional Velcro swaddles either coming loose, inching up, or being too tight in the hips. After trying many brands, we found the sleepea and it is all we use now. It’s simply to put on at night after changes, is light and breathable, and most importantly, secure. I don’t go to sleep worrying about my baby pulling this loose.

Our favorite swaddle!

DM

We tried 3 different brands/styles of swaddles for our newborn. This is the only one that he didn’t fight, so we bought several more to rotate through. We used size medium from the start. It’s very easy to use, especially managing it during nighttime feedings!

Saved our sleep

Samantha Oh

Our baby broke through ever swaddle. This swaddle saved our sleep. Since 5 weeks old she’s been sleeping 9pm - 7am. Don’t event think about it just buy it.

The best swaddle ever!

Savina Bachers

We tried a whole lot of different swaddles and nothing worked quite as well as this one. Our baby sleeps in it without a peep all night.

Sarah

I have only used it one night so far so take this with a grain of salt, but WOW! Last night was a struggle getting him to sleep. Waking IMMEDIATELY after putting him in the bassinet. Opened my Sleepea swaddle that had arrived just hadnt bothered to unbox. Washed it and used it. Y’all….my velcro baby slept over 4 hours the first stretch. Usually sleeps 2-3+ hours in the first stretch. He woke to nurse briefly and change diaper, swaddled up again and slept another 2+ hours. Took Dr Karp’s advice also about laying him down when he was sleepy, not asleep. Ordering another swaddle in case this one gets dirty.

Adam

Bought 1 to trial for my newborn. As a first time dad, this is one of the best purchases we’ve made so far. Easy to use and my son seems prefer it to other swaddles. Great product. Will be buying more.

Our #1 baby purchase of all time

CAB

My husband says “swaddling with receiving blankets is an outdated technology and should be eliminated.”! This swaddle is so much safer than our other swaddle with external wing flaps. We have had six babies and now on our 7th child we finally get to enjoy a superior product. Our baby loves it and it helps baby fall asleep!! Best money I’ve spent this year. Bought 2 more already for a friend. Especially like having a lightweight version for daily use as baby wears warm sleepers all day and we do not want baby to overheat. We own comforter and lightweight versions. NOTE: our baby was in size medium by 9 lbs or so. Still in medium at 12 lbs.

Worked Great for Our 3-4 Month Old!

Emmanuel Hamgeri

Had challenges with other swaddles this one did the trick and is still working, he's 4 months now.

This is the best swaddle

Daena Anzalone

We had the Aden and anais swaddles and they sucked. We needed something that would last and was simple. This is it! We keep our room at 65° and use the comforter swaddle for that. The tie dye swaddle is .8 tog and great for warmer rooms. It’s honestly so easy to swaddle. My babe is in a size medium right now and it fits great. She’s growing and will be in a large once 18 pounds. She is able to now get her arms out, at 4 months and 14 pounds. When washing we keep the Velcro together so other things don’t get stuck to it and it dries easier. We wash this every couple weeks unless it gets spit up on it. The price is definitely justified with the ease of it, the fact it stays on and in place, and the longevity. Also they are cute designs!

Snuggly and easy

Alicia

This swaddle is super easy to use and extremely cozy. Baby sleep great when snuggled up in this swaddle. Also, the sizes seem to run a little small. My baby fit great in a size medium starting around 9 lbs.

A Total Win

Stephanie Schroeder

We had to stop traditional blanket swaddling when our LO kept squirming out of it around 6 weeks. This was the *only* other swaddle that worked for us—and it really does only take 5-seconds! My only regret is that we didn’t start using it sooner, because he is turning three months soon and we’re going to have to quickly wean him out of it because he’s starting to show signs of rolling. And while he’ll sometimes wiggle his arm out of one side (he’s very determined!), usually if we just tighten up the internal wrap, he will stay nicely bundled all night long. I also do think the weight range is real tight towards the end—he was like a stuffed sausage in a small and was about a pound under the weight limit. Anyway… Just a few things to consider, but overall, we are incredibly happy.

Perfect swaddle!

Paige Rodriguez

This is the perfect swaddle! After seeing the halo swaddle bunch up over my baby’s face one night I had to find another solution. This swaddle is just that, no loud Velcro, so easy to use and my baby loves it! I love that it’s breathable and I don’t have to worry about her being too hot like I did with her previous halo swaddles. I wish I had found it sooner and recommend it to all my mom friends! It’s very high quality and holds up well even with daily washes. I bought two more immediately!

Such a big help

Lauren Fisher

So cute and soft and big help with getting baby to get restful sleep.

Best swaddle by far!

Nicole Wizel

Only one my baby couldn’t escape! This is the only swaddle you will need, it is fool proof.

Reddit parents find the Sleepea swaddle secure and effective for containing escape artists, but note sizing issues and recommend it primarily for arms-down swaddling before rolling begins.

mixed sentiment100% match

Positive feedback on security and ease of use, but recurring complaints about sizing running small, limited longevity due to rolling milestones, and arms-out usability being less favorable compared to other brands.

Watch Out For

mediumSleepea runs small, especially in the leg area; babies may outgrow it well before the stated weight limit.
lowThe arms-out feature is less useful than expected; many parents switch to a traditional sleep sack at that stage.
mediumFabric can bunch up near the chin if not fitted properly, creating a safety concern.

Community Q&A

When should we stop using the Sleepea?
Stop using the inner band or arms-in feature when baby shows signs of rolling, typically around 8-12 weeks. Many parents transition to arms-out or switch to a regular sleep sack.
Does the Sleepea fit larger babies?
It runs small, especially in the legs/hips. Many parents recommend sizing up or note that babies outgrow it before the weight limit.
Is the Sleepea good for the 'arms-out' transition?
Mixed opinions. The snap openings allow arms out, but some find it less effective and still restrictive around the chest.

Compared To

vs Halo SleepSack

Halo preferred for arms-out stage or rolling; Sleepea better for arms-down security but not as roomy in hips.

vs Love to Dream

Love to Dream allows arms-up position which some babies prefer; Sleepea forces arms-down which can be better for Moro reflex but less comfortable for some.

vs Ollie Swaddle

Ollie is more adjustable and softer; Sleepea is simpler and cheaper but may not fit larger babies as well.

vs Ergopouch

Ergopouch has longer usable life and better hip design; Sleepea gets outgrown quickly.

  • Are the Happiest Baby swaddles the ones that don't have the leg flap?

Yes, the Sleepea does not have the leg flap. That’s my favorite part about these swaddles. My baby still hasn't escaped from it. It’s a really tight fit though, especially in the legs. It’s snug but not crazy tight, just the swaddle seems a lot narrower at the bottom. It seems to run small so maybe size up.

  • Happiest Baby Sleepea users- when did you stop using the Sleepea?

We used it for about 2 months. Once he started rolling we stopped using the Sleepea because it didn’t seem safe to keep him zipped in with his arms out. The material is not as nice when you unzip the arm snaps and he would end up with fabric around his face. Also, it was getting too small; he’s 95th percentile for height and the medium was getting tight.

  • Sleepea

I love the Sleepea! My baby sleeps so well in it and it's super easy to use. The double zipper is clutch. We haven't had any blowouts in it either. It’s definitely snug but he can’t break out which was our problem with other swaddles. My only complaint is the price point but you can sometimes find them on sale.

  • For those of you who have used multiple brands of swaddles...

We used the Sleepea for about 3 weeks. It's good if your baby likes arms straight down. Ours didn’t mind but we switched to Love to Dream because she likes her arms up. The Sleepea was also outgrown really fast. I have a long baby and it just looked uncomfortable in the hip area. We much preferred Halo sleep sacks for the arms-out stage because it felt roomier and safer.

  • Swaddles

We have the Sleepea and it’s great at containing our little escape artist. The Velcro is loud when you're trying to do a MOTN change but it does its job. We also tried the Ollie and Halo. The Ollie is softer and more adjustable but more expensive. The Sleepea is a solid mid-range option. It’s not plush but that’s actually fine for our warm room.

  • I’ve spent so much money on swaddles/sleep...

We got the Sleepea as a gift and I really wanted to love it because of the good reviews but my baby hated it. He would scream every time we put his arms down. We borrowed a friend’s Love to Dream swaddle and it was a game changer. The Sleepea sits in his closet now. It’s well made but just not for every baby.
