Compared To
vs Zipadee-Zip
Zipadee-Zip is considered safer for rolling babies because it allows full arm mobility, while SwaddleDesigns sleeves may restrict arm movement when cuffs are closed, though it provides more startle reflex suppression.
vs Halo Easy Transition
Halo is preferred by some because it transitions from swaddle to wearable blanket in stages, whereas SwaddleDesigns may be a one-step solution that doesn't suit all babies.

Positive experience with SwaddleDesigns Transitional Swaddle Sack for sleep improvement
We got the SwaddleDesigns Transitional Swaddle Sack in the watercolor peachy pink floral for our 6-month-old, and it's been a game changer. She was breaking out of her traditional swaddle and startling herself awake. With this sack, her arms are up but the mitten cuffs keep her from scratching her face, and she sleeps way longer stretches now. Definitely recommend for transitioning.

Safety discussion about transitional swaddle with arms up design
I'm a little nervous about the SwaddleDesigns transitional sack because of the arm mobility issue. My baby rolls a lot and I worry that with the sleeves up and mitten cuffs closed, she can't use her arms to push up if she ends up on her tummy. We switched to the Zipadee-Zip instead, which seems safer for rolling babies. The SwaddleDesigns design might be okay for supervised naps or babies not fully rolling yet, but for overnight, I want full arm freedom. Some parents say it's fine, but the consensus on safe sleep groups is mixed.
