- Does the Skip Hop activity center actually provide a good jumping experience?
- Yes, the Skip Hop Silver Lining Cloud model gets great bounce and babies seem to enjoy it, though some find the seat restricts movement.
- Is the Skip Hop activity center safe for hips and development?

Is the Skip Hop and other jumpers worth it?
I ordered the skip hop silver lining cloud from target over the weekend because it was 30% off! [...] I've heard so many different opinions on jumpers and activity centers that I'm having a hard time deciding if it's worth it. [...] The general consensus I've gathered is that they aren't bad as long as they aren't in it all day long. Everything in moderation. Also, if they are flat footed, not on tip toes, with the height adjusted correctly, it can be fine. But I'm not a PT. [...] I mulled over this decision for months. In the end I bought a skip hop activity center. I only put my very active and mobile 10 month old in it for about 15 minutes while I cook something real quick. [...] So for me it was worth it because I needed somewhere to put him while I was in the kitchen where he was safe and contained for a few minutes. [...] My LO used it for a 3-4 months. I got it for her at 5 mo when she was obsessed with standing. She loved it. Pretended she was DJ-ing, just gnawed on everything. I thought it was worth it. [...] I got the skip hop one because it was not as obnoxious looking as the fisher price ones. But I do think the fisher price ones are a little more engaging for babies that age. [...] We use it for 15 min a day and that feels worth it. I have the skip hop Silver lining Cloud one. I got it mostly for the aesthetic.
OK new question - is the activity center or jumper better?
We have a Skip Hop activity center but I just got the Silver Lining Cloud one (it's a jumper with a 360° seat) and my baby is much happier in it. She's really into bouncing! If I was going to get one type I'd go with the jumper because it's just more physical activity for them. She's 8mo. I was worried about the whole hip thing but I talked to her PT and she said it's fine if it's 15-20 min a day. She's not a huge fan of the activity center anymore. She'd rather be on the floor in her big playpen. I do recommend it though because it was nice to have when I needed to get something done and she was younger. I think a jumper is better because they can actually be more active in it. The activity center they can sit and spin and play but the jumping entertained my baby for longer!
Skip hop activity center
Is the Skip Hop Explore & More baby activity center worth the space it takes up? We are very limited on space in our apartment but I think my 5mo old is getting bored of his kick piano. [...] We've had the skip hop activity center for 4 months and still use it daily. We live in a 1bd apartment so we get the tight space struggles. It definitely has a larger footprint, but it's been worth it. My LO is an active guy and it's a great place to put him when I need him to be safe. The toys are entertaining, he likes to spin around to all the stations. I also really appreciate the mature color scheme so it doesn't scream kid takeover of our 1bd apartment.
Skip Hop Activity Centers
Those of you who have a Skip Hop activity center, which one do you have and do you like it? We’re looking at the Silver Lining Cloud one. [...] We have this exact one. He loves it. It doesn't take up too much room and the fact that it turns into a play table is a huge plus for us. His legs are a little chunky and it's a very tight squeeze so he sits in it for maybe 15 minutes, 2-3x a day max. It gets a good bounce though. [...] I bought this exact one second hand and it was totally worth it. My 6 month old loves it. Prior to this we had a baby Einstein and I hated it. It felt flimsy and the seat seemed awkward. This one is much sturdier and jumping seems much more natural for him.
