I bought the maxi cosi Tayla travel system and I’m obsessed with it. It’s incredibly light, feels durable and unlike the Uppababy Vista you can easily transition it from bassinet mode to stroller mode. I also appreciated how it transformed into bassinet and seat easily. We used the bassinet a lot.

Durability and customer service complaints
We’ve had nothing but problems with our Maxi-Cosi. The wheels squeak like crazy after a few months, the car seat base is impossible to install correctly, and the stroller frame started creaking. Customer service wouldn’t help—said it was ‘normal wear and tear’ even though we barely used it. Do not buy any Maxi-Cosi product.

Comparison with UPPAbaby Vista and Nuna
We were deciding between the Maxi Cosi Tayla Max, Uppababy Vista, and Nuna. Went with the Maxi Cosi because it’s much lighter and the bassinet conversion is seamless. It’s also hundreds cheaper than the Vista. The ride is not as smooth as the Vista but for city use it’s perfect. We’re very happy with the purchase.

Concern over bulky fold and heavy car seat
I wanted to love the Maxi Cosi Tayla, but the fold is so bulky—it takes up my entire trunk. The infant car seat is also surprisingly heavy. I found a great deal but I’m not sure it’s worth the trunk space. If you have a small car, think twice.
