Practical
Lightweight and easy to remove covers to wash!! Cup holders also screw in so they don’t ever fall off. Bang for your buck right here.
Loose armrests
The armrest and cup holders just pop off with the slightest force, even the baby’s arm resting on it. This is a huge risk in the case of a collision. I don’t understand how having parts that pop off easily is allowable in a car seat.
Box arrived squished. Evenflo tells me its good.
I have to keep it OR pay return shipping. Box arrived squished halfway through. I contacted customer support, they told me its fine. They drop test them. The box was clearly crushed halfway through. I thought after an accident car seats had to be replaced? Apparently not when the cost is on them. Sp...
Good seat, very open for
Good seat, very open for our son. Issue is that the cupholders easily come off.
Waste of money
I got in an accident and had to replace my son’s car seat. The graco transitions was out of stock at the store I went to so I bought this. My son hates it and so do I. It digs into his neck and the straps are always uneven. I usually have to get him back out of the seat to pull on the straps to even...
Fits well in car, easy
Fits well in car, easy for the child to get in and out of so the adult does not have to lift them.

- Yes, it is lightweight, affordable, and provides a harness up to 50 lbs, making it a safe and convenient travel option.
- Does it fit tall children?
- Yes, the top harness slot is higher than many other combination seats, so tall children can remain in the harness longer.
- Can it be used as a booster?
- Yes, it converts to a high-back booster and can be used in that mode for older children; one user reported still using it at age 8.
- Is the harness easy to adjust?
- It requires rethreading to change harness height, which some find inconvenient compared to no-rethread seats like Graco Tranzitions.
- What is the harness weight limit?
- The harness is rated up to 50 pounds.
Compared To
vs Graco Tranzitions
Both recommended as lightweight travel seats; Maestro is lighter and cheaper but requires rethreading harness to adjust height, while Tranzitions offers no-rethread adjustment.
vs Cosco Finale
Maestro has higher top harness slots, making it better for tall children who would outgrow the Finale by shoulder height.
vs Chicco Kidfit
Kidfit is a booster without harness; Maestro includes a 5-point harness, which is safer for younger children.

Evenflo Maestro recommended as travel car seat with harness to 50 lbs
The Evenflo Maestro is a good choice. The harness goes to 50 pounds. The Chase would be a waste of money as it only goes to 40 pounds; it would be cheaper to just buy a booster without a harness (which would also be appropriate). Graco Tranzitions would work.

Maestro great for tall children due to high harness slots
Maestro is a great choice for a tall child who isn’t going to max it out by weight first, the top harness slot is much higher than Finale so they won’t outgrow it by shoulder height. I am a Child Passenger Safety Technician.

Lightweight and cheap travel option, lasts to booster mode, but requires rethreading
We bought the Evenflo Maestro around 3.5 for travel when we couldn’t get a good fit in the cosco scenera anymore. It was a great lightweight and cheap option. She is almost 8 and still uses it in high back booster mode in our second car. ... I like the Tranzitions better than the Maestro because you do not have to rethread to adjust the height.
