Love it.
I love this carseat. It is so easy to use, getting it in and out of the base. Its easy to clean and the safety ratings were amazing for the price. The infant insert fit for our 6lbs 14oz baby, came out easily when she out grew it and now it fits her at 3 months, and still will grow with her.
Not bad for the price
Not bad for the price, but way too heavy. It is a bit hard to buckle, especially the one on the babies belly.

Wonderful Car seat!
I was worried at first if our daughter would be too small for this car seat. She is too small for the key fit 30. She was born a little early but she fit perfectly! The insert was just the right size and this car seat makes me feel so much safer than using the previous model. It's beautiful and really well made and so much lighter than the 30 was I love the design of the 35 so much! I would highly recommend buying this car seat for your little one.
Love Keyfit 35
I got this infant carrier after we were rear ended and had to get a new car seat. I didn’t love my old car seat so I decided to get something different. Love that it’s no-rethread and that the limit is so high cause I have a big baby!
Safety first
I chose this car seat because of all of the safety details likely the anti rebound bar and the 5 star reviews but I’m not totally in love with it. The anti rebound bar while it adds extra safety and I chose the keyfit 35 so my child can stay rear facing longer also cause the car seat to be longer. While I can put my car seat behind my seat because I’m 5’2” my husband has to put the car seat in the middle because he’s 6’ which I don’t love. Other than that the only other feature I would have to complain about is the canopy that you have to use two hands to move it. We love the other features though and how it clicks into our stroller! Would recommend but wish I knew what I know now before I bought it.

We would recommend the Keyfit 35 car seat to anyone expecting a baby! It was so easy to install as the base was attached perfectly within minutes. We feel our baby is very safe and secure in the seat. The head supports are great for tiny babies and the padded straps offer additional comfort. After removing the newborn inserts there is still a head support which is perfect to keep her upright and comfortable. The straps are also easily tightened and loosened which saves time getting her in and out (and saves us from tears!). It is quick and easy to get in and out of car and strollers with the one button release. The canopy is nice with the sun protection. The seat is also stylish which is an added bonus. We are very happy with it!

This car seat comes with everything you need to bring your baby home from the hospital! The material is durable, comfy, and quality! The car seat also comes with head rests so your baby is snug and safe in the car seat as they grow. We can also trust that the fabric is chemical free and safe for all our babies! We love it!

Baby hasn’t arrived yet - but the car seat itself looks great. I purchased the all black seat, and the fabric/appearance is modern/good looking. The seat seems to click into & un-click from the base very easily. Haven’t installed the base in the vehicle yet - but do recall from my last 2 little ones that car seats generally just take up space in your vehicle & it’s something that just comes with the territory of being safe! (So, I’m not too concerned with fit in my SUV at the moment). This car seat however, clicks right into the Chicco Corso LE Stroller I purchased separately (as the “Studio” color I wanted does not come as a ‘travel system’). As for the latter part of my review - I did not have to purchase an adapter for the Chicco KeyFit35 to click onto my Chicco Corso LE stroller, as the stroller comes with the carseat adapter! Can’t wait for baby to arrive & start using Chicco’s products! (As I’ve used Britax & Maxi Cosi with my prior children!)

Great seat - not great shade
We bought the keyfit 35 mainly for the spf sun shade because we live in Florida and OH MY is it a pain. It’s a pain to open or shut, gets stuck on the seat itself, and gives you a hard time getting the seat off the base of its pushed back. The seat itself is nice and light and seems very secure. The base was also very easy to install and locks in nicely.

All of the fabric came off on ours. Check the manual for which insert pieces are appropriate based on weight. And double check that the straps come out of the seat either right at or just below shoulder height. Also when you say her chin is too close to her chest, are you assessing this when the car seat is like sitting on the floor/ground or in the car? The base holds the seat at a more reclined angle when kiddo is in the car (or stroller)

CPST detailed comparison of Keyfit 30 vs 35 features and limits
CPST here! Both the Keyfit (30 and 35) and the Liing are tech recommended seats as they are both fairly compact (so fit well in most vehicles), easy to use, and not outgrown quickly. The Keyfit 30 has lower limits, 30lb/30” but most kids tend to outgrow their infant seat by the third maximum which is the fit requirement. You must be able to maintain 1” of clearance above their head inside the car seat shell. For the 35, the limits are higher at 35lb/32” but you must maintain the 1” clearance above their head on the headrest. Depending on your child’s growth proportions (long torso, large head) they may hit that at the same time as they would in the 30. The 30 has a rethread harness which means you need to unhook the straps and manually move them to the next slot. The 35 has a no-rethread harness, which means you move the headrest and the harness moves with it. I find no-rethread harnesses convenient in theory but on an infant seat not really necessary as you aren’t having to uninstall the seat to do it since you can just take the carrier out and flip it over. All in all, I’ve personally used the Keyfit 30 and loved it. I haven’t seen a 35 in person yet but the bases are simple to install and fit well in most vehicles. I’m personally using a Liing for my impending 2nd child and am loving it as well.

We're really liking our Chicco Keyfit 35! Went with the 35 because I think we'll be able to use it a little longer, probably until 12-18 months. We have an Uppababy Cruz and the adapter for the Chicco carrier.

I have an UP Cruz V2, love it so much and we used a Chicco Keyfit 35 with it (you need the adapter) Loved it and would use it that way again! You only use the infant bucket for so long, then need a convertible seat anyway. So IMO it made more sense. Plus the Chicco has excellent crash safety ratings. My baby grew out of the infant seat when he was shy of 6 months since he’s big lol but the seat isn’t too heavy, I felt like it was totally manageable. ETA we really just keep our stroller in the car, so the adapter was always with it or near it. We also purchased the infant snug seat for the stroller and used that if we didn’t feel like lugging around the car seat, it came in handy for sure!

Explanation of differences between Keyfit 35 and Keyfit Max due to new regulations
As Lani mentioned, they’re almost identical. New regulations have changed the stats of the smaller crash test dummy family members. There is a very small difference in the height/weight limits between the seats, they had to choose between stuffing a 3 year old dummy in there (and increase limits) or max the seat out at the 1 year old dummy’s stats (and reduce limits.) They chose to reduce limits by 2” and 5lbs.
