I have a 2 month old and he absolutely loved the Mamaroo when we tried it at a friend's house. But at $300+ it's so expensive. I'm looking at getting a used one on Marketplace. Mamaroo yay or nay? Praise for colic and longevity concerns
Yay from us! Our LO was so colicky and the Mamaroo was the only thing that would calm her down. We used it daily for 4 months. Downsides: it's huge and heavy, not easy to move room to room. Also, my friend's motor died after 6 months. But for us it was a lifesaver. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat, but maybe a used one next time.

Swing opinions: Mamaroo vs traditional swing vs bouncer
We registered for the Mamaroo (Jake - charcoal melange) because it matched our UPPAbaby stroller and I heard great things. It's been amazing for naps. Baby loves it. But I will say, a cheap bouncer is way more portable. We ended up getting both. A traditional swing takes up more space but some babies prefer the back-and-forth motion.
