The UPPAbaby Minu V3 is a lightweight travel stroller designed for from-birth use up to 50 lbs, optimized for air travel with a one-hand fold and IATA-compatible overhead compartment dimensions (folded: 10" x 18" x 21.5"). It features a 16.7 lb frame with aluminum and full grain leather, all-wheel suspension, a 20 lb storage basket, and GREENGUARD Gold Certification. Community Q&A

Is the Minu V3 suitable for newborns?
Technically infant-compatible with car seat adapters, but many parents find the recline insufficient and lack of bassinet attachment problematic; better for 5+ months.
Can the Minu V3 be used as a primary stroller?
Yes, many users use it daily, especially in cities; compact size and large basket are advantages, though terrain limitations may be a drawback.
How does the Minu V3 compare to the UPPAbaby Cruz or Vista?
More portable and travel-friendly than both; lacks full-size features like reversible seat and bassinet; better for frequent travelers.

Compared To

vs UPPAbaby Cruz V3

Minu V3 is more compact and travel-friendly, but lacks bassinet and parent-facing seat; some users replaced their Cruz with the Minu for daily use.

vs UPPAbaby Vista

Vista is heavier and bulkier but handles rough terrain better; Minu V3 is praised for portability but criticized for stiff steering and small wheels.

vs Other travel strollers (Bugaboo Butterfly, Joolz Aer+)

Minu V3 stands out for its large basket capacity (20 lbs) and customer service, but is heavier and more expensive; competitors may fold smaller or steer easier.

  • Feedback on Minu V3 travel convenience and newborn suitability

How it folds down and it’s fit into overhead airline bins really the main reason we bought it. It is great for us in NYC; good in small spaces and easy for one parent to manage if going out solo... The minu v3 is technically infant compatible but I personally would not use it with an infant. They did a better job with the infant capabilities for the Cruz V3... Yeah I went to the store to try it out and was like nooooope. You can’t make them parent facing and it’s not fully flat

  • Minu V3 worth it vs alternatives, praised for overhead bin fit and basket

We love the Minu v3. You can buy car seat adapters for $70 or so new — cheaper used/open box. How it folds down and it’s fit into overhead airline bins really the main reason we bought it... What drew us towards minu was the weight capacity of the under basket storage. It’s significantly higher at 20lb on minu vs the others... uppababy has amazing customer service ... if you buy the travel bag and use it while flying, they will overnight you a new stroller if it breaks.

  • Using Minu V3 as main stroller, durability and customer service

UB Minu V3, currently internationally travelling with it with a 5 month old and it’s SO easy and compact and used it for daily use as well on gravel, grass and rocky streets. Can store overhead on the plane, folds with a handle that you can use on your shoulder and great customer service. My stroller broke in the bag during our travel and UB replaced the frame free of cost... I’ve completely replaced my UB Cruz with this and haven’t had any issues yet.

  • Minu V3 for newborn: not recommended due to lack of parent-facing and flat recline

Great for 5months+ but not ideal prior to that. The recline isn’t enough for many parents to be comfortable with newborn floppy neck/no bassinet... You can’t make them parent facing and it’s not fully flat... the size being approved for overhead compartments in airplanes was the real deal maker. Not having to gate check the stroller and all the damage they typically get when doing so is well worth the price difference in our opinion.

  • Second thoughts: criticism on steering and rough terrain, comparison to Vista

The minu is basically a janky doll stroller in comparison lol. ... I can take the vista across gravel or grass with no issue. The minu is so uncomfortable for my kid and the steering is so stiff and the wheels are tiny. I never use it and wish I hadn’t ever bought it honestly!... Another downside is that I have a hard time steering it with one hand (like if I am holding a coffee).
