My 2 year old occasionally has a hard time settling down so these seemed like a nice idea. However, it's more stressful than anything. It says to avoid ingesting but that's easier said than done when you have a toddler that is constantly putting bath water in their mouth. He also just wanted to play with it, which I'm assuming he shouldn't do that either. As far as the scent, at first it seems like it would be strong, but once it is dissolved in the water, you can't even smell it. It also didn't seem to help him settle. I set them on my kitchen counter before use. My kitchen literally smelled like lavender and even my paper towels had the lavender scent. It is a nice smell so it wasn't a horrible thing, but I was surprised how stout they actually were. When using in my daughter's bath they did seem to be a little softer and better/more natural smelling. I do love they are all natural with oils. My daughter also loved the scent, and her skin and herself smelled fresh and nice afterwards. In my opinion they are very strong before use in the water so if you are sensitive to smell maybe keep them put up until use. I have tried every natural remedy. I was at target and came across the Bath bombs that were labeled as a new product. Even inside the packaging you can smell the strong scent of Eucalyptus and Lavender. I was so happy to give this a try. Unfortunately I was so let down. I made sure to add the adequate amount of water. I closed the bathroom door to make sure the smell would stay more concentrated and in the bathroom. It fizzled so quickly and then the scent disappeared.
