If you plan to go to need a gate on a rare occasion (grandparents, for example), I'd recommend it. If you're needing a gate for kids in your home (parents), get a different one... Build quality, quick-fit mechanism are nice. It's certainly a step-up from the traditional wood gate. Our issue came in with the 'non-scuff feet' that go on the wall. They stick (rather than drill) into place, and we tried to relocate the gate at one point, and the foot tore up our wall. We've never had a gate's foot do more than scuff the paint, but this tore up our wall. Overall, I can't recommend this gate unless you just need a budget option - but even then, there may be other better options.

The Toddleroo by North States Quick-Fit Oval Mesh Gate blends in nicely and takes literal seconds to install. It pressure mounts with a ratcheting system that clicks into place. I like that I can just pull it out when we have company and put it back in seconds. It’s not great for areas where you’re constantly moving through because you’d have to lift the gate every time, but for a hallway that stays closed most of the day, it’s perfect. Also does not work at the top of stairs—has to be hardware-mounted there.
