City select/color

Mickey91

I love baby jogger. I got my first City Select in 2012. It was stolen so I had to buy a new one. The only complaint I have is that the pictures on the website do NOT match the actual color of your purchase. I was a little disappointed but after a while I warmed up to the color. It’s just disappointing when you buy something thinking it’s going to look like something and it’s totally not even close. Aside from that, I’d still pick city select.

Love this stroller

Loving my kids

My husband and I purchased this stroller for my son in 2011 in the red color and fell in love with it the first time we laid eyes on it. The way the stroller maneuvered was so easy and effortless and has never given us any problems. I do have to admit that it was quite heavy when folding it and putting in the car but it was never a deal breaker for me. My son used this stroller until he was about 4yrs of age and we kept it put away after his use just incase we decided to have another child in the future. Well I'm pregnant again 8yrs later and we pulled out the stroller to use with my daughter and everything is working just as it did when we first got it. I do feel we need to change the bottom basket as it looks a little ran down but that thing has been put to great use from holding diaper bags to groceries and much more I love how big it is. This is a great stroller you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Absolutely fantastic product

This stroller was a gift from my dad off my registry after I had my third child. As you can imagine, I've gone through many different strollers over the years, after having multiple kids. I can say for absolute certainty, that this is my favorite. First I'll start by saying that I love the look of the stroller. It's sleek and modern and looks sturdy. I was also considering the Uppababy Vista, but it is double the price and quite honestly, I feel it is overrated. The wheels on the City Select were a BIG sell for me. They're real air tires, and have amazing traction on them, unlike the Uppababy Vista, that have polyurethane plastic tires. Another sell for me, was the fact that City Select has a Graco car seat adapter. I had already purchased my car seat, and would have had to get a different one had I gone with the Uppababy Vista, since apparently, they do not have an adapter for Graco. The durability on this stroller is incredible. My husband and I have put some serious miles on it already. It does surprisingly well going over snow. It doesn't squeak or jiggle. It manuvers over bumps, rocks, cracks, and any uneven ground quite nicely. We recently took it to Disneyland and we didn't have a single problem with it over the three days we were there. It has a large basket and with three children, it held all of our stuff...purse, diaper bag, several jackets, blankets, water bottles, extra clothes and even an extra pair of shoes. The handlebar can increase in length for taller people. The canopy could be a little longer to completely cover my child, but I remedied that by using a blanket. I love that it can expand to a double stroller IF we were to need that. It folds up and fits in my hatchback. I can't say for sure if it will fit in a regular trunk, due to the size of the back tires. All in all, it's certainly worth the cost, especially if we get our use out of it with another child. As I've stated before, it holds up through all kinds of terrain, which is extremely important to me, as I travel a lot to different types of climates with different types of terrain. If you are stuck between the Uppababy Vista and the City Select....save yourself a few hundred dollars and go with this stroller! You won't be disappointed!

Best stroller ever

Amazing stroller, we both absolutely love it. Only stroller I would ever recommend. Only down side is that it is heavy but totally worth it.

Great Quality, Probably worth the investment!

BrittBritt123

We are currently using a City Select (with our third child) in the ruby red color. It was purchased back in 2011 for our first child and has seen MANY adventures! DH and I both LOVE the stroller and all of the features. I will say that for all of the "abuse" it has taken over the last 8 years, it is in AMAZING condition. It just shows you how good the quality is of these products. We purchased the second seat w/ brackets after baby #2 then the glider board as they got older. We also purchased a parent console, and one tray. We bought a rain cover elsewhere, but would also recommend getting one as it has come in handy many times. After all of this time, we are having to replace the storage basket underneath. It started coming apart at the seams. But let me tell you, we used that basket ALOT. Our kiddos liked to ride in the bottom storage basket (I'm positive this is NOT recommended by Baby Jogger themselves.) on short walks around our neighborhood and we used it for so much, I'm not surprised we wore it out. This is only recent and because of user wear and tear (i.e. heavy children, diaper bags and small dogs). Overall, we LOVE the products, I just hate that it comes with such a hefty price tag. Although if you spread the initial investment out over the course of time you use it, it's not really that bad (8 years for us, and probably more!). With other brands (cheaper brands) you could end up spending the same due to the need to replace the stroller more often. This was our one and done stroller and I would do it again for sure- just now I'd probably go with the color LAGOON. Gorgeous!

This stroller is perfect for multiples! It makes having two little ones easier bc it converts so easily!

LOVE LOVE THE STROLLER BUT,

VCBurke

This stroller really fit my needs as I had a 20mth old and a new born. I love it can be used as a double and single stroller. Its able to come apart completely to fit easier in your trunk. Only issue I have the mechanism in the folding handles broke, how I have no clue because the stroller is mainly left put together and up. Im hoping some how this problem can be fixed without having to buy a whole new stroller because these aren't inexpensive.

4 years later

Dano

3 kids and 4 years later, this beast has held up without any deterioration in function. We beat the heck out of it pretty good too. Road trips, air travel, off road, 2 seats occupied, full cargo, stuff hanging off of it. We also use the Peg Perego seat adapter, great setup. Expecting another 2 years out of it, and then itll still be good to go im sure. Worth every penny, would def buy again.

City select double stroller

acarlson

Easy to put together!! The only problem I have is the one side always slips to keep the tire stationary. Other than that, it’s easy to steer, easy to pack up and my kids are comfortable in it (2 months, 2 years).

Hands down, best stroller out there!

Chelsey

I have taken this stroller everywhere!!! Planes, cruise ship, boating, camping, grocery shopping, fair, disney world. In the mud, sand, dirt, gravel, pavement. You name it, its been there and out shined all the other strollers. You can pack this thing till its about to burst and it still rides so smoothly. Folds down easy, sun canopy comes down very low which is awesome for naps. This stroller is just amazing!

City Select

Claire C

I love our stroller so far! It was easy to set up, it rides so smoothly (I can get through by holding the door with one hand and pushing the stroller with the other hand!), folding and unfolding is a breeze, and it looks great. Very happy with this purchase.

Light weight and easy to use!

LaurenM

I love this stroller so much! I held out so long on getting a jogger stroller as I would not think I would need it much longer but this one is worth it! It seriously could not get any easier to fold. There is one little handle that you have to pull and it just folds right up. Could easily fold it while holding my daughter in my other arm. My daughter just turned 3 and is really big for her age (most people think she's 5) and she still fit really nicely in it. Her legs hang off a little bit but shes it totally comfortable. I loved all of the viewing options this stroller has. Literally, everything folds up so you can see your little one. There is even this really nice mesh piece on the back that lets in some air. We live someplace that is super sunny and super hot so the umbrella is going to be really nice this summer! My daughter loved the stroller so much that she would not let me take her out. She told me she wanted to bring it into the house so she could watch TV in it. Also, I put this together by myself - super easy to do and the instructions were really easy to read. I received this item as a part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Smooth Ride, Lots of Extras

cmaher

This was gifted to us about two years ago. We loved it from the start. Great structure, love the larger wheels for a smoother push and ride for baby. Everyone who has pushed it always complemented on how nice it was. Our son was born in May 2017 and the stroller had it first use shortly there after. Within a few months time I noticed the rear strap that holds the bottom basket in place was beginning to fray. It didn't seem like a big deal at the time. Since then both sides of the straps have frayed and completely broken so there is no support, so I can't really use the basket anymore which is unfortunate. I would have contacted customer support but a receipt was needed, which I had never received since it was a gift. The other feature that seems weak is the latch to hold it together when folded. Ours never stays latched. I actually used a bungee cord to keep it shut when we flew so that it wouldn't open up when the airline crew had to carry it. A small thing, but still inconvenient at times. However we do look forward to using it with two seats and other accessories as we are now expecting another baby.

Most accommodating!

jackiejoe

What I love: the big wheels that provide one of the smoothest rides. The adjustable handle for short wife and tall husband. A push and pull lock sturdy for full reclining system for child. The different seat positions. The option to add a glider. Full coverage canopy. Leg extension for child. What I hate: the weight of the stroller, and it’s big— it goes in our highlander and it takes up most of the space.

I'm ready to move on

TeriS195

I was mind blown when I got this stroller, I thought it was the best. Over time, the honeymoon phase is over. I've always had to use it as a double. Super bulky to store, you have to disassemble it to put it in the car or garage. When you have two seats, they cant recline much before hitting another childs leg. Basically only 1 can recline nicely, not both together. I thought about getting the kickboard for my toddler, but he can't stand the whole time we're walking around the mall etc.. My family is growing and it's time to say goodbye. It is sturdy and the wheels are great.

Amazing stroller!

Gma J

I was hesitant to purchase this stroller. It was a gift. I just thought all strollers were the same. Wow! was I ever wrong. This thing is amazing. It is built to last and the options it has are great. It has great storage (vital) and the different configurations are awesome!! Very happy with this purchase. My son and daughter in law loved it!!

Great Stroller, Great Company!

Jon A

We received the City Select Double Stroller as a gift for our twins that we born in February of 2015. The kiddos and the stroller are almost 4 now. The stroller has held up amazingly well. We had to store a heavy oxygen tank in the storage area for over a year. The mesh tore a little but still held up and works fine. I suspect it wouldn't tear under normal use (the oxygen tank was REALLY heavy). The tires on the front wheel assemblies wore out but Baby Jogger's customer service took care of the issue so that is not really a complaint. I would absolutely buy this product again and recommend Baby Jogger as a company. Their customer service is VERY easy to deal with! Other than the small tear in the mesh, the stroller looks brand new after almost four years of pretty heavy use and abuse. It worked really well when the twins were still in infant car seats, you just snap them out of the car and snap them into the stroller. The toddler seats are great too. We added a "parent console" to hold water bottles, keys, etc and a "Mommy Hook" (big caribiner) to hold bags, etc. It folds up well and is easy to get in and out of the back of our Ford Edge. I really like that it converts from a double stroller to a single so easily. In short, awesome product from an awesome company!

Inregret buying it

Love it except...

MamabearPNW

I bought this right before my second baby was born. I loved that her infant car seat could snap in and also have my oldest ride in her seat up front. Now that they're both older, I just purchased the sanding board for my oldest. It works so great! The only complaint I have is that I don't like the handle bar for me while I push. I find it awkward and a bit uncomfortable.

Regrets

ButlerBulldog

Very well built stroller, excellent features. Very happy with fabric and size of bottom carriage. However, this did not turn out to be the stroller for *me & my family*. When the frame is folded, I have to lay it down in my trunk of my Acura RDX, and it takes up the ENTIRE floor area of my trunk. Its also too heavy to lay across other items such as groceries. I wish the frame was able to stand up vertically. Too heavy to be lifting during 3rd trimester or post C-section. Its also a little wider than a standard stroller, so I have trouble getting thru aisles at department stores, restaurants, retail areas (I live in Columbus, Ohio). Does not do well going across grass. I have only used this at the zoo and throughout my neighborhood sidewalks. My daughter is 2.5 yrs old, 34 lbs, 34 in tall. At 1 year old her head was reaching the canopy (which, how would anyone know how much your child is going to grow in the first few years? :) ). We have baby #2 on the way, and there is no way she & baby#2 are going to comfortably fit in both seats. I have had this stroller stored in my basement for over a year.

Great Design but not durable

cookooBA

I bought this stroller a year and two months ago to accommodate our second child. two days ago the frame snapped, broke in two and separated while walking to daycare. I have a 3 and 1 year old and use this stroller daily. We live in a busy bustling city, abroad, and walk everywhere. Although we do take long walks with both children most of the time it is only the baby riding as her sibling is in school and or walking along side. We did not overburden the stroller, the children weigh 55 lbs. together, no where near the described weight limit. Having the stroller fail on us is incredibly inconvenient, we are a foreign service family living abroad and there is no quick fix. I cannot run out and buy a new stroller and get back on the streets as easily as I'd like. I have thoroughly enjoyed the stroller design and had hopes of using it for more time. Sadly I cannot support the claims of durability and capacity.

Love the smooth ride

Daisy M

I’ve had my stoller for a year love that it is a very smooth ride, used the graco car seat and matched perfectly, bought the skateboard and it’s very fun for my 3 year old and bought a couple other accessories for it. Yes it is very pricey but definitely worth it haven’t had an issue with it yet and I get a lot of compliments on my stroller too. The only thing I dislike is that it is a hassle to put it up because you have too take apart everything and it does take up a lot of space in the back of my suv.

Comfortable stroller!

Aurelia

It took us a lot of time to settle on a stroller and we ended up picking out city select. We now have 2 kids and we still love it. The plus: Latge storage, adjustable handbar, roomy seats, good recline of the seat, smooth ride, easy to convert to a double stroller, big canopy with height adjustment, easy to manoeuvre, love the second seat (even though not cheap!) and board a great extra features. The cons: Heavy, hard to fold (stiff handles), rain protection (there is a filthy film on it I cannot get rid of t, already bought 2 and is extra - should come with the stroller at that price). But the most annoying for me - at least for my kids is during the summer time - is how they get hot. The canopy is one piece with no mesh panels so no air comes in. Obviously you need the canopy down for sun protection but they get all sweaty and wet really wquickly. I had to invest in other seats liners and all but mesh panels should be a definite must for the next upgrade!!!

Issues with quality

SE1545

I own the double stroller and both seats have started to fall apart. The snaps and zippers have falling off leaving sharpe edges in some spots. Very disappointed With the quality of this product after two years of light use. I have a different stroller I use for the winter as I wanted to keep the double stroller in good shape. My winter stroller has held up better. I would not recommend this stroller to other parents. It has been a bad investment for me.

Awesome versitile stroller

rainbowbabymom18

I'm a new Mom, been using my city select for 4 months now. I LOVE IT! It's super sturdy, drives nicely, super versitile, comfy, looks cool...and backed by a good brand. My stroller frame was damaged when I opened the box and assembled. Baby Jogger fully backed it, and sent me a brand new frame. Their customer service team was apologetic, kind and respectful. I also own the city GO infant car seat, and love the system on the whole. I also have the bassinet attachement, and a second seat attachment for when my family grows. I love how it can be single, double or even 3 kids. Only thing I'm dissappointed in...I bought the baby jogger parent console to attach to the handlebar. Well...its not great. It slides down the handle and is a bit flimsy how it attaches. Only some velcro. Yesterday while I was taking my daughter for a walk it fell off one side. My water and phone went flying on the sidewalk. I like all things matching so I with they made a better parent console.

Love it

Elinor808

The best Stroller we ever had Highly recommended Absolutely love it

Great Quality and very versatilr

kathy29

I bought this because of the quality and the versatility to add another seat because of a new baby coming and a 19 month old It is great talking our 19 month old for walks and then when the new baby gets here we can add another seat

great stroller but wish it had a few additions

Bethtown

I bought my select about 2 years ago before the birth of my grandson. I also have a granddaughter. It works great fits in my car great even with the third row up. I only wish it had a bench option that could attach with the use of the two seats. My daughter is having a third that I will be watching and I am not sure the 3 yo is ready to stand all the time yet. I would love a solution. otherwise the stroller is great and rides like a dream. I have read other reviews that said they can't recline the front seat with the car seat or the back seat installed. I always turn the front seat around to recline it when I had the car seat installed or the the rear seat installed. with the seats facing one another you can easily recline both seats at the same time or just the front. The only downside to that is that the stroller ends up being really long. Lastly I wish some accessories came with the stroller for the price. It is a high end stroller and I guess it ends up like many high end cars, everything is extra.

Not in love.

kayenbee

Got this stroller after ALL the hype, and definitely not worth it. Although it does maneuver around very smoothly and easily, it is ridiculously overpriced for a stroller that comes with literally NO options. I was also incredibly disappointed to find it almost impossible to find the second seat in Teal (only a year later...), and to find that I need to spend so much on a second seat... This stroller will be sold to buy a double that is cheaper with all options. If you're going to spend this much, I'd recommend looking into the fact that you can get a lot more for a lot less.

Please make an adapter to raise the upper seat!!

AndreaH

I love my city select, so much! I was between the Uppababy and my stroller and sometimes wish that I went with the Uppababy for the sole reason that the main seat is so low in the stroller. With the Uppababy you can use an adapter on the top seat so that the baby is closer to you. I am 5’8” and felt like I was constantly bending down whereas when using my friends Uppababy it was the perfect height to interact with my baby. Please make an adapter to raise the upper seat! Seriously torn on buying a new stroller when I have another, but if a new Lux or City Select came out with a higher upper seat or an adapter for the upper seat to raise it I would buy it in a heartbeat. Also having a higher upper seat would enable on seat to recline while the other seat is in the upright position. Another problem the low seat being higher would solve is that it would make it easier to access the basket below. I feel that the seat is always blocking the basket. Please come out with a stroller or adapter and fix this issue before I have another child! The Uppababy is not an option for 2 kids because the rumble seat is so small but if they came out with a stroller with two larger seats I would have to go with that stroller.

Best Investment Ever!

Molly1234

I was a bit intimidated by the cost of this stroller; but for a lot of reasons I chose to invest in a double stroller from this company. It was the best choice I've ever made! I use the stroller nearly every day- I choose not to drive much, and this makes is possible for me to get around with my two sons and all the stuff we haul. I do grocery shopping, we go to the park, we take it with us when we travel.... also, this stroller has lasted for AGES. We bought it almost four years ago- it's still in good shape, though it has lots of scraps and scratches by now. If you need a sturdy, durable stroller that will carry plenty of weight and can withstand lots of use- this is a fantastic choice!

Worth it!

crisroof

We received this stroller at our baby shower and out daughter is now 10 months old. We use it ALL the time. Its spacious even for me (I bring everything, every time) and easily folds in up and out. We hope to have another baby soon and look forward to keeping this stroller for two.

Two years later we still LOVE it

SabraRoberts

We bought this stroller before we had our first child and one year later bought the second seat for our second child! Yes, two under two! We love our stroller so much BUT we aren't overly thrilled with the material of the seats and canopy. We purchased both the first seat and second seat in ONYX and have noticed that they've both faded already. The stroller has never been stored anywhere but in the trunk of our vehicle or in our garage. Functionality of this stroller is amazing and we have recommended it to all of our friends; but strongly advise a different color.

The Best Jogging Strollers with Speakers

baby stroller

Most new parents who have a passion for keeping fit will always tell you that the biggest challenge to this has nothing to do with not getting the required sleep when exercise is required, but to keep their child entertained while running. You can get your bag filled with toys and diapers, which meant be lost on the trail or perhaps you can consider going smart by buying jogging stroller with speakers to keep your child entertained when you achieve your fitness goal at the same time.

Great Stroller

MamaBird1112

I love my City Select, however lately the front wheels have been going a bit spastic when walking. We aren't going fast or running with the stroller, just a simple walk, and they have to be picked up before they work properly again. Also I am not a fan of the strap connectors. The large plastic clip is always by my son's head/neck and I have to put a pillow so he doesn't get irritated. Is there any other strap connector style for each seat? Love the double stroller feature and the many configurations it offers. Thanks in advance.

One of the best products

Shortie557

I went through a few difrent double strollers. And this one is one of the best BEST STROLLER I ever owned. I've had it over two years works grate and I use it every day from going to church, shopping, going out to jogging. It's amazing. I recommend this stroller to all.

I love it

Emma1985

I bought this stroller because i was having a hard time with my graco fastaction, it was giving me back problems as the handle does not adjust. and i just love the city select now. Great handling . And baby loves it.

In love with it

Heba

Im very happy with city select double stroller , it's durable, seats could be switched in several positions, it's wheels is very strong and smooth however I have 2 problems : 1-I used to travel a lot and had to take the stroller with me in the airport until the airplane door whereby u have to de- assemble it's seats and put them all in one bag in order not to lose any part which was a really hectic ! As it's not that easy to do so specially of I'm traveling alone without my hubby and with my 2 toddlers ! 2- Now I'm having my third baby and I want to dye the cloth and really don't know where or how to do so! Thanks

This is the workhorse of double strollers

TwinsBK

We have had our city select double stroller since our twins were 6 months and now they are two years old. I have put endless miles on this stroller and I say full heartedly this is the BEST stroller for twins if you live in a city. I love this stroller and is the only one we ever bought as we never felt the need to buy another one. But I will say that if you live in the suburbs and expect to load this stroller in the car on a daily basis perhaps this is not the stroller for you because it is so heavy and bulky to load in a trunk. Although perhaps this is a draw back for all double strollers. I have only owned one double stroller and I think this is a good sign. I use this stroller daily for trips around the neighborhood ranging from 10 to 40 mins walks. We live in Brooklyn NY were there are a lot of hills, uneven bumpy sidewalks, narrow places to go through, stoops for entering shops, grassy parks, and lots of very crowded places. The city select has been fantastic for maneuvering in this city terrain. And perhaps for this reason ~70% of the strollers we see in this neighborhood are city select. I can drive the fully loaded stroller with one hand up hill because that is how awesome this thing maneuvers. The key is the air tires that make driving so much better. And I have never had an issue with these tires needing air in the close to two years I have use them. However the foam on the front tires has worn off considerably but this has not presented any issue thus far. My favorite feature about this stroller are the seats. I have used all the orientation possibilities including as a single seat when I traveled with one kid to the doctor. It is very easy to remove and install the seats. The seats are very comfortable for the children and the canopies have excellent coverage. The canopies cover so well that often I don't need the rain cover when it rains. The rain covers are easy to install and they protect very well from rain and wind. And the rain covers are securely fasten making it hard for kids to kick it off. The seat foot rest can be easily adapted for my kids by extending its length and angle. Also the seat reclining angle options are very good and I could lay my kids flat for nap. Although to lay two seats flat they need to be both facing backward or each other. Now regarding the seat orientation, in the beginning I mostly used facing each other but then when the legs got too crowded I switched to both facing forward. I stopped using the orientation of both facing forward when the child in the upper seat started to complain of not having enough leg room. Now I only use both facing in opposite directions and I like that this is the most compact version of the stroller making it easier to maneuver for tight turns. Only until recently the kids started to fight over who gets the lower seat and I think is because it gets the best uninterrupted view while the one on top has to look a me. I will add that the seat covers are reasonably easy to take out for cleaning. And the straps are easy to change to accommodate height. Also the buckle works well to keep them secure in their seats. My only complain about the straps is that I wish they could be longer to accommodate the extra bulk of winter coats and the seat bundle me. This has been a problem now that they are older and bigger. What I have done to overcome this issue is just using the lower straps which I don't like because I worry about hitting a bump and the lower kid falling forward. The lower basket has excellent storage capacity. It can accommodate all my groceries with no problem. But the seat orientation will determine how easily accessible and how much space the basket has. Best orientation for space and access is both seats facing forward. I also use the pockets behind the seats for storage of small items. It would be nice to have a pocket on the top of the canopy like some new strollers have to store small things like the phone, keys and tissues. The hand break works great but now that the kids are older and can reach up the handle I have to be careful that I don't hit their hand when releasing the break. I once hit a finger and the kid was upset even though this break latch cannot cause any major harm so I am not overly concerned. I just wish it was higher on the bar. Folding the stroller is the only thing I don't like but I guess all double strollers are a pain to fold and carry. To fold this stroller you have to pull up both buttons at the same time which sometimes is not easy. To fold as compact as possible you need to take both seats off. And because the second seat adaptors stick up you can only place it in one orientation to lay the folded stroller as flat as possible. We have a Volkswagen Tiguan and the folded stroller bearly fits in the trunk. I have probably folded this stroller less than ten times and I avoid it at all costs because is just a drag to do it while handling two kids. Also this stroller is VERY heavy (37.8 lbs according to Lucies list) so that is another reason to not carry it unless you really have to. Right now is getting too heavy to push up hill with my 25 lbs two years old twins and the fully loaded stroller is close to 100 lbs right now. So now I am considering investing in a double umbrella to ease the load but I have a hard time giving up this stroller because I love it so much. I may just eat more spinach to get stronger to push this heavy stroller. :-) After two years of heavy use this stroller has proven to be a wrokhorse and the best stroller for twins. We are very happy with our investment and want other parents to know our experience and perhaps help on the difficult desicion of buying a double stroller.

The One & Only Stroller

LaurenWestin

I purchased this at Babies"R"Us about 4 months ago after my neighbor who has twins recommended it to me and I can't express enough how much I love this stroller! Really easy to travel with and I love the fact that it easily can go from a single to a double stroller. My sister has a City Select too (she loves hers as well) and we traveled with her family to NYC and she brought her seat with her so we didn't have to bring 2 strollers and this was PERFECT. It's very easy to get around! Also flew with it to Arizona too! So easy to push, especially here in Minnesota during the winter when there is sludge and snow on the ground. It just glides right through the snow like butter. Perfect for all types of terrain! And so many riding options! Definitely convenient for if my husband and I do end up having another child, we can just get the second seat kit and use it as a double, and then if the oldest grows out of the stroller we can just turn it back into a single stroller. I use my City Select with the Britax B-Safe 35. Really easy to get on and off the stroller. Also super cool that you can use this stroller with a ton of other car seat brands. It's pretty universal. I'm in love with this stroller! I'm so happy this was recommended to me. I definitely recommend this stroller as well for all types of families!

AMAZING stroller!

Quinns Granmda

we just got back from a week long vacation to Disney World, where we rented this stroller for our 10 month old. We were absolutely amazed by this stroller and did not want to leave without it. I am giving it 4 stars b/c the price tag is out of our reach to purchase it. things we loved about this stroller are : baby can switch to Parent facing within seconds. our baby was able to get both his naps in at the parks and slept like a baby! it maneuvers very easily. I am a 48 y o grandma who has had back surgery and I was able to fold the stroller up quickly and take it on all the bus rides very easily. we loved that baby can actually sit in a totally up right position ( not the case with our Britax, that our baby hates to ride in ) the magnetic peek a boo is wonderful. Most days we were in the parks 10-12 hours and baby never fussed once when we would put him back in stroller. It really made our trip manageable with a baby. I actually can not say enough good things about this stroller, and really hope to be able to purchase one in the future.

Fantastic Stroller Worth Every Penny

Janniedawn

Bought 5 years ago for my son and daughter in laws first child. I previewed the YouTube video and showed the video to them to ensure it would be the stroller they'd like and to get their colour preference. Two and a half years later my husband and I bought them the second seat for their next child. I believe the other Grandparents bought the glider board as baby #3 will be here in the new year (2017) Great stroller, does everything it claims.

I wish it was our first stroller

MassimoZ

The first stroller we purchased barely lasted the 2nd year of our first child - so we invested in a baby jogger. We are now on our 4th (and final) child, and the City Select is still as solid as when we first purchased it. The material on the cargo compartment below has freyed a bit, but I think that's expected. It takes a beating, our kids climb into it them selves, and the skate attachment has come in handy time and time again - would highly recommend. It's impressive that it can move 3 children at once.

problem with pram

jxberny

I would give it 5 stars if only i could have the pram facing me while my eldest baby has a possibility to look forward, and not be condemned to watch the back of the pram. that has proven impossible. Why? is there any way to fit it that way? I also find very frustrating that i can't fold the feet of the stroller so as to make the stroller more compact when fold. we had this habit when baby was small and still in car seat to just fold the frame behind his seat (we have a honda civic, any other way of folding the folder is so bulky). But with the seat in, it's impossible because the feet of the seat are too high, can't remove or fold it flat and i lose visibility.

Love this Stroller!

knacka32

I love everything about this stroller. One thing i wish they would do is have replacement covers for the seats and have the foot rest extend farther.

Love my city select!

Mommy Rech

I have had this stroller for almost 2 years and will making it a double very soon! I have several of the accessories as well...(I reviewed these separately, honestly most of them are a waste). We live overseas and our stroller is the main mode of transportation since we WALK everywhere! I did a ton of research on strollers before deciding on this one! We went with this one because the wheels are foam (thorns are problem where we use to live), durability & stability and the option to make it a double. We use this stroller almost everyday and on all of our shopping trips! We have used and abused it and its still going strong! It was worth the money...this stroller has thousands of miles on it and still works like it was new. We however do not use it for airline travel which we do almost monthly. Pros: - durable metal frame -very safe - double option - easy to flip seats - reclines easily - canopy size - foam wheels - adjustable handle - easy to wash Cons: - wheels do not lock when folded - removing the second seat to fold when its a double - having to remove so many accessories in order to travel - folding it is a bit tricky especially while juggling a kid and everything else - most of the accessories are a waste/break easily/pain to remove for travel

Awsome stroller

Rebecca Reinaga

I bought the city select stroller a couple months ago and i absolutly love it, it made my life a lot easier since i have 2 one year old boys, the positions are great, i get to choose weather or not they look at each other, or when they sleep i just recline the seats, i like how the canopy covers alot and dosnt let the sun go on their faces! The accesories are great aswell i have the console, two trays, two carseat adapters, one footmuff, 2 liquid holsters and a belly bar, just need to buy a glider board and im all set. Definitly 5 stars, i absolutly love it even tho its kind of heavy! Awsome job baby jogger :) thumbs up.

Love, love, love this stroller

Ashleys8691

I got this stroller when my older 2 children where younger because i needed a double stroller with 2 children under 2. I loved it i was able to use it for them until they were 4&3 yrs old. Im pregnant with baby number 3 and will be using it again when she is born. I may even use the jump board for my son who will be 4. I love all of the features that this stroller has.

Awesome Stoller and Features - Great Cust Serv!

GraysonsMom

I love my City Select. It's easy to fold and easy to open. It's not too heavy (not light either if I'm being honest). The basket underneath the seat is HUGE. I was able to fit 2 diaper bags, 1 backpack, 2 purses, and a few souvenir bags in the basket (Disney). It fits easily in the trunk of my Camry. I have used three different accessories - the Graco Baby Carrier Adapter, the Second Seat Kit and the Glider - and I couldn't be happier. Keep in mind that the carrier adapter and second seat needed to be removed in order for the stroller to fold but they are so EASY to remove and put back on I don't even consider that a downside. I also couldn't be happier with Baby Jogger customer service. I needed replacement mounting bracket plugs after they were misplaced during second seat installation. Customer Service was able to locate the part for me and expedited my shipping. Great company. Great Product!

STURDY!

cookwhit

I purchased this for my 2 year old and baby on the way. So far we've only used it as as single but it's worked out great It's sturdy enough to walk on the gravel roads and it handles the bumps like a champ. It's smooth on paved roads and folds up compact for travel in the vehicle. During a recent evening out at a fair/event the stroller handled the gravel, grass and hoses/cords that we had to roll over much better than a friend's name brand stroller that is mostly made of plastic parts. Their stroller was rattling and shaking and ours breezed right through!

Easy to use

Mcampbell310

We've had the stroller for 4 years and love all the seating configurations

Amazing Stroller

katee

We recently bought this stroller and it has been amazing. It works perfectly for our brand new baby girl and it will grow with our family. Looks sleek, easy to fold, easy to maneuver. And a bonus is all the different colors.

Amazing!

Kkirk1

Rides so smoothly! So many different ways to have kids sit. Great quality!! Easy to maneuver and attach car seat

Sturdy stroller to last for years and 2 kids

Mommaof2under2

I bought this stroller for my sister for her baby shower and now she has 2 kids and continues to use it for the both of them. It saves money to buy this for single or 2 kids.

Amazing for 2 under 4

Lee dixon

I love this stroller! It rides on dirt, stones, hills wonderfully without having to lift the stroller. I recommend getting a lighter color than dark shades because it does absorb the sun and can be very warm when in a hot weathered area. The large storage basket is amazing and so helpful! I am a over packer and it is perfect for having so many things that my son needs. It is very easy to put together and have so many seating positions! I recommend this to a family of multiples because it truly makes life amazing. The seats need to come off before folding for a more compact storage. I love the side lock, perfect when I wear a dress and a skirt and I can do it without having to bend over when I wear flip flops because it is harder to stop.

Best baby purchase!

Helebrashi

I used this stroller for my twins as a double and it's amazing! it is so smooth to push whether you are on a flat surface or on something bumpy. It is strong and sturdy and I feel like my children are very safe in it. It's breaks system locks all four wheels and doesn't slide at all. The under sroller basket is very big and hold a ton of stuff. With two kids and a basket full of groceries it is so light to push. It was perfect with I clipped in car seats and is very comfortable for me twins who sit in the stroller seats now. I can not brag about it enough. My friends call me the baby jogger embassador becaee of how much a talk about it. I recommend it to everyone I know ESP those having multiples.

Great Stroller!!

JosiesMom

I asked for the stroller as soon as I found out I was pregnant and got it from my in-laws! I have used the pram I have used it with the bucket seat and I have used it with the regular city so Lexi and I love it in any configuration! It's definitely the best stroller on the market.

Perfect for one or a growing family!

EzraJames

Having decided on the City Mini we went to the store to purchase it and had that sudden thought -- what happens if we have baby #2 while Ezra is still stroller age?! Step up the City Select!! Although not as nimble and lightweight as the City Mini, the CS is so easy to manoeuver and we have tested it out on some pretty rough trails! It takes 2 hands to fold but is very simple. We easily switch out between the bassinet and our car seat at present. I haven't tested it out with 2 yet but can't see any reason why we won't continue to love it!

Excellent Stroller

Katherine

Very smooth riding. Easy to turn into the double stroller. Not too bulky for a double stroller.

Good stroller for twins

Momof3under3

We got this stroller when we found out we were having twins for the ease of using car seats and convenience of seat configuration. It has served us well and is great quality. The fold is easy and nice and small. I only wish it had better manoeuvrability with 2 babies, when it is front heavy it gets hard to steer and pulls on any slope. I also wish the handle bar wasn't telescoping but changed angle like the GT. Overall good workhorse stroller.

My go to stroller

Sclafani27

I bought this when I had my first child last year, and this year when my second came along I got to use the City Select with all its features. I love that my car seat can clip easily and my toddler loves to nap in the full recline second seat. My absolute favorite feature of the Baby Jogger brand is the full cover canopy to shade from the sun! I'm so happy with Baby Jogger that I'm now looking to invest in the side by side double as my second double stroller for running.

Great stroller

Amy35

Absolutely love my city select stroller...and so relieved with a second on the way that I don't have to change stroller, just add a seat!

Overall great stroller!

Rockwell219

After a lot of research we chose this stroller for our new baby. I have chronic health issues and do not drive so we wanted a stroller that would make life easier. It didn't disappoint. It has been great for city living. We love how easy the wheels come on and off for storage in our condo or to make more room when packed in the trunk. It works great with the bassinet and graco car seat. Very roomy basket underneath. I like that the handle is adjustable as I am much shorter then my husband. We were also thinking ahead if we have another baby we will not have to buy another stroller. We are not fans of side by side double strollers in the city and this meets our needs perfectly. The only complaint I have is the weight. It is quite heavy, and for someone with chronic pain it is hard to lift (but that is unique to me).

Awesome stroller

Mfhvega

I had the 2012 version of this stroller and it was still looking good but I jaunt had to get the all back frame 2015 version! Love the looks of the stroller. It is a heavy stroller as I have 2 very heavy toddlers but it is great. I've tried other strollers and none have held up like this one. I just wish there was a way of getting rid of minor scratches on the black frame! And a replacement basket would be great too. Over all this is a great stroller!

Great All Around Stroller

Jennie

I bought this stroller two years ago when I went from one child to two! I absolutely love it! With 2 years of use under its belt, it is still in fabulous condition! It is sturdy and easy to use! I also love the option to have a bassinet (which we had bought and used when my youngest was smaller. I constantly get compliments on the stroller! It is also so easy to push (even with two children). I love the fact that the handle can adjust to height as I am tall (5"8) and I always feel like strollers are too low (this one is perfect).

Light weight!

Jessie

Bought the stroller with the mind then I would have more kids. It is also a great single stroller. Love this stroller

Currently used as a single

Bearlyrational

I'm currently pregnant with my second and I recently saw the City Select on sale at PishPoshBaby. It's really easy to put together as a double or a single. My toddler likes it better than his other stroller because he can climb into it on his own. He also likes to clip his seat belt together himself. I notice that, even though it's not a jogging/sport stroller, it handles pretty well on uneven terrain. We like it a lot better on hikes.

City Select around the world !

WALI

Our City Select has been a great product! we have been using City Select for both of our kids for about 5 years. This stroller has been all over the world. We love it ! specially helpful at airports :) Just recently, the front wheel plastic pilar broke when it connects to stroller. The question is, where can we buy spare parts ? Thanks!

Love!

TwinMommy16

We just bought this for our twins. It's SO awesome. Maneuvers easily. Built well. We'll be using this for a LONG time.

Awesome stroller!!

Olya

My husband and I bought this stroller first as a single when we had our daughter and now bought a second seat kit as we just had our son. It's an awesome stroller - very durable and smooth ride, I love the color options and the bassinet, and overall it's a very stylish and quality stroller. The only things that I would like to see improved are the stroller configurations. I wish that I would be able to have a bassinet for my son and the seat for my daughter facing forward in the front. I can only have it facing me. If only the bassinet could be moved up just a little bit on the frame, then the other seat would be able to fit forward facing. Also the stroller is a little on the bulky side making it harder to navigate sometimes through smaller spaces but that is not such a big deal to me. Overall I love this stroller; my husband and I bought a different more compact stroller and when we tried it out it was very flimsy compared to the baby jogger, and felt like it was going to fall apart any minute. I definitely recommend it.

Amazing!

kunami

Fantastic. It works perfectly with our Peg Perego 4-35 car seats.

Love Baby Jogger

mom of 2 loves adapter

I bought the city select stroller for my first son who is 2.5 years old now after recommendation from a friend. Now, we just had our second child and we are even more in love with the stroller now as we were able to convert it into a 2-child stroller. The customer service representative was extremely helpful when I had trouble putting the second seat on along with the car seat adapter. Am very pleased with both the product and the company.

Great Stroller/Great Customer Service!

abbeyw44

Bought this stroller for my twins 3 years ago and we are still using it for them and for our infant daughter. Lots of seating options for kids of different ages! Also, we had to replace the wheels twice and the customer service was FABULOUS!!!!!!!

Amazing

Kathleen

I bought this product five years ago and WOW! It is amazing!!! I bought this when I had my first child Jackson and I knew I wanted more kids so we purchased the second seat when I feel pregnant with my second child Calvin. When I had my third child Lilia it still held up while Jackson was riding the stroller. Then when I had my last child Isla it looked like it was still new. This product is amazing! and I have recommended it to so many of my friends.

Love it, better than the side by side for my twins

twinmama345

My girls are 2 and i was over getting wedged between doorways with my older City Select side by side. This stroller has changed my mom life. no doubt. and its cool looking.

Great for a double stroller or single

whittyty

We love our city select stroller. We had a double stroller from another brand and prefer this one for all its modification options and the fact that the seats can grow with the child. We have a 9 month old and a 3 year old. I like that the seats hold the child's feet up off the ground. In other strollers our 3 year old can hang his feet off the sides and hit the ground or the wheels. This stroller is pretty heavy making it hard to carry unless you completely break it down and take the seats off. But I believe this may be because it is such heavy duty material. The ONLY thing I am not so much a fan of is the stroller is a little difficult to get up onto sidewalk curbs. I have to work extra hard to hoist the kids up. But this does not take away from how much I like the stroller. It glides really well and I love the adjustable handlebar.

love everything about it

lillian84

I love it I been having it for 4 years already and I love the fact that my daughter is still comfortable on it and it still looks amazing

Love my City Select

AshW

I reviewed many strollers and chose the City Select for a number of reasons. I love that it is so versatile, accommodating more than 1 child and easy to fold. I do not regret my decision and would recommend this stroller to anyone.

Perfect for a growing family

Growing family

I have to be honest I actually haven't purchased this stroller as of yet - but after spending quite a bit of time with it in the store - we will be purchasing in the next month or so. I first looked into this as a double stroller due to so many rave reviews from co workers, friends and even strangers. It folds up increibly easy, has multiple configurations to keep the kiddies happy and Although it's not super light , it's def manageable and the pay off is that it is sturdy and both seats can hold up to 45 lbs. it takes up just as much room as my single stroller in the trunk and the foam filled wheels means you don't risk the chance of getting a flat(had that happend before- not fun). Lots of available accessories- the wheel board particularly was easy to use and folds up with the stroller. Choosing this stroller was the easy part- choosing what colour will be more challenging :) Will update after purchase and a few months of use.

So Versatile

RIMommy

I borrowed this from a friend to take for a trip to DC since there is so much walking going on downtown. She had a second seat installed so I could have both my kids in it at once. At first I thought it would be a little tough to maneuver since it was holding two kids but it moved through pavement easily. I didn't try it on grass. I think style wise it's just your average stroller it kind of looks like every other one on the market right now but it does offer many options for a parent with more than one child. I wish it looked a little more modern like the European style strollers.

Best for our family!

shay16

I bought this knowing it would be the best choice for a growing family. My daughter used the bassinet until 6M and transitioned nicely into the regular seat afterwards. I love being able to have her face me or outwards. The canopy is nice and large, love the magnetic closure on the window too! The different seat positions allow for a comfy ride even when she's asleep! The under basket is Large and spacious, easily holds the diaper bag, baby carrier and a jacket with room for more! Very easy to maneuver and the adjustable handle is great. I'll be getting a second seat once we have our next baby and I'm sure it'll be an awesome double stroller. I recommend this to all of my friends that are having kids, it's definitely worth the investment!

Wish I had bought this sooner!

Jess_kidding

We LOVE LOVE LOVE our City Mini! I only wish we had purchased it before we had our second child! The only issue we have ever had is with the "fold" handles. I have already submitted this to customer service, and they have been incredible to work with, extremely friendly, detailed, and helpful. I'm waiting to hear back, but I was ensured that this is included under the lifetime warranty. Other than that, I rave about this stroller to anyone and everyone. I had an inexpensive travel system that we used for both our kids, but we really wanted a double stroller. I researched, read reviews, tried out several strollers before we decided to go with the city mini in teal! It was a no brainer! If you're on the fence about it, just buy it, it is WELL worth the money!

Small, tough ride, heavy

Rmbb

I thought I’m buying one of the best double strollers, I can’t really use in so many configurations as they stated that you can. My two year old cannot even fit in there his head has to be tilted to fit under the hood. When he sleeps his head is tilted , I always end up taking off the hood but then he gets all the sun. Very difficult to push and maneuver, it’s really bad. I think I could have gotten a better ride and space availability other strollers that were cheaper. I own a Quinny that is so light and I can maneuver it with one hand is only one holding a coffee or another child with the other hand. This is a purchase basically that I wasted money on and I’m not using it as much is it that I will . Definitely would not recommend to others

City Select Stroller

Lauren C

For the price, there should be accessories like the cup holders that come with this thing. After adding everything up, the cost for this stroller is as much as some used cars! Also difficult to put in vehicle.

Issues with front wheels.

JDad

We have enjoyed this stroller and like that both of our children have a good view without being side by side. However, the one issue we continue to have is that we've gone through 3 front wheels. Baby Jogger replaced the first 2 for free, but we had to buy the replacement for the 3rd broken wheel. We would have expected sturdier front wheels. We use the stroller for daily on sidewalks.

Great Potential, Difficult to use

MommaAL

I needed a stroller that could grow with my growing family and this stroller offers just that with many attachments and variations it provides! However, even after using the stroller for three months, I am still having the hardest time folding it up after use. The “fold” levelers get stuck and have to be pulled up one at a time which is nearly impossible to do by yourself. I have loved the stroller’s size and mobility but would not purchase again due to the difficulty folding it up after use. It’s disappointing because other than that aspect, I have loved this stroller and it fits my needs but I dread having to fold it up.

Not an easy FOLD :(

Kaitlin

We received the Baby Jogger City select stroller in May 2019 as a gift. We really excited about it because it was out of our price range and my aunt surprised us with it! We just started using it this month with our new born and loved it! I went out running errands without my husband, I was a little nervous to maneuver the stroller because it’s kind of heavy and I haven’t worked out since before baby so when I couldn’t fold it up I panicked! I was in the parking lot in 90 degree heat pressing on the “FOLD” handles and nothing was happening! I was pulling and pulling and nothing. I had to ask a stranger to help and luckily he was VERY strong and was able to fold up the stroller for me. Since that day I haven’t gone out with the stroller without my husband.lHe is also super strong and he also has trouble folding it. I asked friends if they have problems with theirs and they said no? Not sure what happened when my stroller was made but I am definitely not happy with the product and super disappointed !! I don’t think the stroller is supposed to be that difficult to fold ? Help !! I am wishing we would have went with the city mini, my friend said it is the easiest thing to file up and take everywhere. Thanks

Get the City Select Lux instead

Sam123

I purchased this stroller in December 2016 in the teal color with black frame. I give the stroller 5 stars. I love that it's heavy duty and love the durability factor. It drives so smooth! I'm expecting my second baby and want to purchase the second seat to match what I already have, but that has apparently been discontinued. I originally purchased this stroller with the expectation of expanding our family and buying the second seat. Now we'll have to buy a mismatched color with silver frame. I didn't spend $500+ on a stroller for it to be mismatched. Had I known this would happen, I would have absolutely chosen a different color. My suggestion for you would be to purchase the City Select Lux in black or gray.

Biggest baby purchase regret

Psmom

I registered for this stroller mainly because it was highly recommended by a Buy Buy Baby employee. This is probably the one item I regret registering for the most out of any other item I've received/ bought since my baby has been born. The way the car seat clicks into the stroller is VERY difficult. My baby is 3 1/2 months old and I still struggle every time to click the car seat into the stroller. The stroller is ridiculously heavy and bulky- needless to say I am doing a tremendous amount of research (while not pregnant now) before purchasing a replacement travel system for our next baby. If I could return this system I would in a heartbeat! A mom asked if I liked our stroller in Buy Buy Baby today while I was researching other strollers and I said no definitely NOT that is why I am back here today. Waste of money- WAY over priced. Not to mention the whole line is being redesigned (which I wasn't told about prior to buying the $700+ system) so buying these adapter pieces for everything is a joke!

Largely Dissatisfied

lililou

We bought this stroller about a year ago when we were preparing for the birth of our second child. It has been decent, at best. The buckle on the seat broke after 8 months of moderate use. It's big and bulky and doesn't stand upright when folded. We bought ours not realizing they were phasing out the fabric selections on the seats and we've been unsuccessful in purchasing a matching second seat for ours. The five-point harness is utterly horrible. You have to clasp a total of 5 pieces together in order to buckle your child in. There's no way to secure the shoulder strap to the waist strap so if your hands are cold/clumsy, etc., those pieces fall apart and you have to start all over. Our daughter who is two years old has essentially already outgrown the seat. She's tall for her age, but I would expect that a stroller that costs this much would be able to accommodate a child of her age, even if she's on the tall side. The only thing I have truly liked about this stroller is the ability to switch the seats around and the capacity of the basket underneath. Otherwise, I'd say it isn't worth the hefty price tag.

Good stroller but IMPOSSIBLE to reconfigure!!

JC20

We purchased this stroller based on the fact that it can be converted into a double stroller. We recently had twins and thought this would be the perfect solution, especially since it is not twice the width as are most twin strollers. Since purchasing it has been nothing short of a nightmare trying to configure to hold two car seat carriers. The worst part is we also purchased TWO Baby Jogger car seats! How can a company make it difficult to keep compatibility within their own product lines? The problem with this model, and maybe this brand as a whole is they strive to make everything compatible, but there are no clear and easy parts to match their own products together. We submitted an online inquiry which was never responded to. We waited about a week and then called the customer support line. We were instructed to purchase two sets of the same adapters, which after paying the high end shipping to receive were not the parts we needed. Yes, the parts allowed for the Baby Jogger Go car seats to attach, but you cannot attach two of them because the mounting brackets on the stroller are too close together. When ordering we specifically asked if a car seat kit or adapter was needed and was informed no. For the record, all model numbers and serial numbers were provided for both the City Select and the City Go products, so the only logic behind the mis-direction would be lack of product knowledge from the support team. So now here we are, having purchased 2 City Go carseat carriers, 4 Go bases, the City Select Stroller, and two sets of adapters (that do us no good and we spent a crazy cost for to ship within a couple days), and we can't utilize this bundle to even go to the Pediatrician, grocery store or any other daily travel needs. Such a shame as we had high hopes in this brand.

Nice, but you'll be nickel and dimed

chicagofamily

I'll start of by saying we like the stroller as far as functionality and the brand, we previously owned the City Mini GT. The reason for the 1 star is you get nickel and dimed for everything. This stroller literally isn't compatible with its own Baby Jogger car seat, are you kidding me. For a premium stroller with a premium price you think you could make your stroller compatible with your own car seat without adding another adapter. Oh yeah and the adapter we had to buy for our City Mini GT to hold the car seat doesn't work for the City Select. Absolute joke. Then in order to make this a double you need to buy a seat and adapter. Again, your main competitor doesn't require all these silly adapters for everything. Hopefully you rethink this with your new design, not that it helps us. The main thing we do like about this stroller is it folds easily, my wife can lift it and it fits in a mid size car trunk.

Versatile but not very convenient

Kevinnnnn

I bought this stroller 2 years ago in silver. I don't recommend this stroller for new families starting off with the intention of expanding to a dual setup as the family grows. Baby jogger likes to switch up the seat colors every few years and if your color has been discontinued then you're out of luck. Now I either have to buy a mismatched color seat or spend extra money to buy 2 matching seats again. Then you would've just been better off with a higher end unit. My other complaint about this stroller is that it cannot stand up on it's own when folded. Unless the stroller is folded up in the trunk it's pretty much useless to put anywhere else as it just folds over on its wheels scratching the sides.

wheel was broke suddenly , my kids are light weigh

Ron1979

one of the front wheel broke suddenly. the stroller is very expensive and the warranty service is very bad. and take to longs(couple of month and still not get the stroller back)

Great Stroller, BUT....

MomOf2EnergeticBoys

This stroller was PERFECT for my two boys, until it wasn't... I researched all of the double strollers available at the time and although this was one of the more pricey options it seemed like a good investment that would last. I bought this stroller after my first LO in preparation for the second. I've used this stroller from the time he was born with the Graco car seat adapter. The second seat attachment was perfect for him once he grew out of the car seat. Then suddenly right around 24 months of use the stroller malfunctioned and will not open or stay locked in place. My Graco stroller lasted longer that this! I expected this investment to last even longer for the money I was paying. Hopefully I can get this issue resolved soon. I can't keep up with these two without it!

Nice seats, but inflexible once there are two kids

Liz S

I got this stroller as a gift, and while it does have features I love, I would have returned it had I purchased it myself. Pros: -Configuration flexibity -Narrow footprint -Huge storage space Cons: -Once you have two seats on there, you can no longer recline the seats. -While you can move the seats whichever way you choose, when the kids face each other the kid in the lower seat gets their legs cramped by their sibling's foot well. -The foot wells do not adjust low enough to be comfortable for taller toddlers. -The stroller does not lock when folded making it floppy and annoying to load into a car. -It is heavy. - The front wheels are hard, more like an umbrella strollers, which means they are constantly getting snagged on curbs, uneven sidewalks, and loose bricks. This is not only annoying, but often threatens to catapult your kids out of the budgy. Also, if you plan on using infant car seats with this stroller please make sure to carefully check that not only the brand of your car seat has an available adapter, but also the model. Call customer service to verify before you purchase your car seats. (We purchased a Maxi-Cosi car seat specifically because it was compatible with this stroller only to find out that the specific model we purchased was not compatible with their adapter.)

Seat , front wheels, frame

Anszu

I have started to use the baby jogger city select end of October 2016. First my body frame had to be replaced since we could not folded, Then in February 2016 front wheels started to be wobbly and louder. Customer care replaced them. Now we have May 2018 and my seat does not rotate!!!! Customer care doesn’t not answer my emails and does not want to help! I extremely disappointed :(((.We had bought bassinet, car seat, trays, ....rain cover...Fromm baby jogger.

Just sad......................................

sirsi

I bought the city select anniversary edition for my 3 year old and my new baby. i was debating whether to get this or the uppababy vista. I dont know what got into me when i chose this. once i got all the accesories that the vista actualy comes with, this stroller was actualy more expensive. my 3 year old kept saying that the stroller was itchy and said he "couldnt be comfy". i bought the lux bassinet for this stroller and it was just a pain. the materials were horrible and it had no airflow. i ended up buying the uppababy and am much happier with it if this stroller meats your needs, dont waste your money and look into the uppababy vista, its worth it.

Poor customer care, not much included in cost

BrittanyRN

I bought this a few weeks ago and have had problems folding it down. It gets stuck and takes multiple attempts and shaking to get it to collapse. I contacted customer service and am very disappointed in the care received. They take days to respond, then mostly only give pre-scripted replies. Their response to this manufacture defect is for me to mail my stroller back in, then once processed, put me on a 6-8 week waiting list for a replacement! This makes me think the are many more people out there trying to return their strollers as well. They already have my $800 and expect me to go without a stroller for MONTHS due to their defects! I am still waiting for a response from my complaint. I am also disappointed with the fact that this stroller has no caddy on the handle for me or at least a cup holder for my toddler. I purchased their snack tray but the drink holder isn't even 2 inches deep so the drink falls out at the slightest bump making it practically unusable. I purchased a few caddies for me but the location of the brake prevents you from using most of them. They also end up blocking you from reclining the forward facing seat. Speaking of the brake, it seems like an awkward placement, not where you are used to placing your hand. It is also hard to squeeze. The 5 point harness is time consuming to use because you have to slide the shoulder strap into the waist strap then connect to the seat strap each time for each side. When unclipped they all fall apart. I wish the shoulder and waist strap were connected like most strollers to save time. The straps have a lot of excess strap which could be good for larger kids but they just flap all over for smaller ones which isn't aesthetically pleasing and get in the way while you are trying to connect the complex harness. The shoulder pads have no padding, they are just pieces of fabric. I also wish this would stand when folded but this is not a must as it does have a bar that makes it easy to grab and does fold very small that I think makes up for this. Overall I feel like it is too expensive to not include great customer service especially when it comes to manufacture defects. I wish they offered a real cup holder for baby and a caddy for mom included in this price like cheaper strollers offer.

Love this stroller, but...

1Girl4Boys

I am a baby product fanatic, and love trying all the bigger, newer, better products often. So when my last baby came along I HAD to have this stroller. I love all the options this stroller offers: forward facing, rear facing, one seat, two seats, glider board, shopping bag, etc... I purchased the car seat adapters, glider board, front tray, bug shield, parent console, second seat, adapter arms for second seat, and storage/travel bag (I think that is all?) I have used this stroller in place of a wheelchair for my son many times in the hospital because of the comfort and flexibility of it, and it has been to Disney World several times (we do NOT use their public transportation) and is a great all day stroller. Pros: All in all it has been a great stroller, I love the flexibility of the combinations, the seat recline, extending capabilities of the seat, foot rest and handle, the large storage bottom, ease of removal of seat for washing, ease of removing all the wheels for transport, and generous oversized hood that easily removes. Cons: for the price of this stroller, a few things need to be considered - the straps on the stroller were too easy for my little one to get his arms out of no matter how tightly they were pulled (I fixed this with a chest clip from an unused car seat and it is no longer a problem) and the front wheels - if you get walking/striding any more than a gentle pace the front wheels rattle, bounce and spin left and right very quickly like they are trying to spin around. I have tried removing and replacing the wheels, and placing the seat at the different places to see if it stops, but it does not make a difference. I typically walk quickly, so this is something that bothers me frequently. You must slow down to make the wheels go straight. Not a deal killer, but again, for the price of the stroller plus the cost of adding all the accessories that I just HAVE to have I would expect better. IN ADDITION: since they have now come out with the "Lux" version of the City Select they are making products for the Lux that are not available for the City Select - Hmmm, that isn't right...I want one of the rear bench seats for my City Select!!

Good stroller but...

PJ1983

We have had this stroller for 6 months now... for the amount of money it costs there are several issues I have that are disappointing Folding the stroller is not easy. I often struggle pulling on on the fold levers It must lay down when folded therefore we can't store it at the front door where it would be convenient It's quite heavy pulling in and out of my trunk The manual does not explain the canopy and how to use the sunshade Any accessory you need - must have item such as the car seat adaptor - are very costly

Disappointed

Erikah411

I bought this when I had my second baby. It looked so great on paper with all the configuration options. There’s really only one maybe two ways it can be used now that my kids are a little older. Either both facing forward or both facing backwards. Otherwise they have no room, don’t fit, or heave each other’s feet in their faces. My children are only 2 and 3 so I was hoping this stroller would still work for us after a year of usage. Especially after paying over $600 for it. And extended handle bar is also very wiggly now. We use the stroller occasionally and not often enough for it to feel like it’s falling apart already. We are expecting our third child and I am so disappointed that it’s probably not going to last us through his toddler years.

Cheaply made. Nothing "lux" about it

Itslindsey

Let me start by saying I have a baby jogger summit x3 that I LOVE!!!!!!! This stroller doesn't compare. And not just that they differ functionally. The quality of this supposed new and improved "luxery" stroller is poor. Unless you're looking for a double stroller, I would recommend the summit. The shoulder strap is ripping 2 month after I bought. The top is held on by clipping on to frame and pops off constantly. The seat material which is supposed to be improved and greater quality than normal city select collects everything! I dropped a plain cheerio, no sugar, no sticky and it soaked right into material. I had to scrub it off. On the summit everything brushes right off. It's not porous at all The buckle is a pain too. My last complaint is the frame. It sticks. To fold stroller you pull both sides, well one side always sticks and I have to mess with it every time for a few minutes manipulating it. It's not the same side that sticks either. It switches up. It does manuerver well for a stroller of its type. But the wheels are meant for stores. Don't try rolling up a tiny bump or uneven concrete , driveway , or floor. It will just run right into the edge and bring baby to abrupt stop. Just walking into your house from your front porch you have to lift up front wheels. I'm talking not even two inches of uneven ground. The configurations are convenient and way the handle bar adjusts is also nice. But that's about the only nice things I have to say about it. For the record I bought this at buy buy baby. Buy buy baby refuses to exchange it, they want me to contact baby jogger for manufacturer warranty. But I do not want to keep a stroller I spent $600+ on that is already giving me problems a few months in. Sure they may replace the parts now but what happens in a year when I'm out of warranty and more stuff breaks bc it's so cheaply made. If I spend 600 on a stroller marketing itself for luxery I expect top, long lasting quality. Do not waste your money on this over priced stroller. It's not worth it!!!

It serves its purpose

Mom of 6

My sister gave me her citi mini stroller after she no longer needed it. I loved it, but it was 6 years old and finally fell apart. We bought a new one because we loved it and then we found out that we were expecting another baby. Because we lived the citi mini so much, why would we not love the citi select? The stroller serves its purpose, but you should know that once you have all of the attachments that you need to make everything work, it gets super heavy. Why does baby jogger not include attachments for their own infant car seat? Although you can put your children in the different configurations, they may not be comfortable and you may not be able to adjust the seats. My infant has to be in the lower seat and my toddler in the upper seat facing me if I want to recline his seat at all. When I had them reversed, I had to remove his canopy to adjust his seat. The commotion would usually wake him up and defeat the purpose of having the “easy” recline seats. They’re not easy to recline once you have more than one kind of seat attached. If the infant seat is up high and the toddler seat is down low, facing out. I can’t get his seat to recline because my hand barely fits. If I can squeeze my hand behind he seat, I absolutely cannot release it to recline the seat. Now that the stroller is used almost daily, it no longer locks in place when it’s being stored. So when I remove it from the back of my car, it’s hard to pick up because it’s already opening. Because of the larger size and weight, it doesn’t open easily and I’m afraid that I may break it because it is heavy and I cannot lift it high enough to get the wheels to land on the ground properly. It’s also difficult to latch(when it worked well). I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have smashed my fingers closing the stroller. If I could do it over again, I would not buy this stroller. Like I said before, it has served its purpose, but I only continue to use it because we can’t return it and I don’t want to sell it for a fraction of what I paid for it.

junk stroller, locking mechanism breaks

Leachje

Stroller does not unfold all the way, cust service is terrible, broken mechanism. Had this less than a year.

Got twins?!?

Shepherds

We purchased this stroller because we don't really care for the side by side strollers. We thought this was a great purchase because of all the unique ways you can place the carriers/ chairs. Well... little do the tell you is that you can definitely place the chairs/carriers in 23 different ways, but what they don't tell you your child will have little to no leg room. Now please keep in mind my twins are only 5 1/2 months old, so if they don't have any leg room then we have a problem people!! So instead, I only have 4 ways out of the 19 I can place my twins and I can only imagine what or how this is going to accommodate us when they hit a year old. I would never recommend this stroller to anyone!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!!

Love but wish a few things were easier

Christina1009

I was really torn between the City Select and Uppa Baby Vista. I went with the City Select but here are a few things I wish were different. The basket underneath is hard to access. When the car seat or bassinet attached that isn't an issue but the normal seat it is. Folding the stroller is fairly easy but sometimes it does stick. I love how easy this stroller is to push. It's not always easy to take when shopping. Gets caught on the clothing racks because it's a wide stroller. I do not like how the stroller folds with the seat attached. It because very combersome. So I do not fold with the seat attached. I do wish the sun shade was longer and that the canopy extended up as the child grows. I have a 10 month old who is very tall. I do love this stroller! I know it will last me through another baby.

Great Double Stroller but...

ToriandDrew

The front wheels wobble and shake every now and then which make it difficult to push. Sometime I can make a trip without it wobbling so I forget about my biggest complaint, but when the stroller does shake, it's very frustrating! However, I love the options for pushing my two children. Sometimes we use two seats, and other times we use one seat and the glider board. Love the huge storage space and adjustable handle. This would hands down be the best double stroller out there if it wasn't for the front wheels. Does anyone have a fix for that?

Disappointing

Ab123

I waiting a veryyyyy long time for this stroller to come out in stores I ended up ordering it from buy buy baby 3 days before my baby was due in June. I was really upset when I got it and saw that it is difficult to close. I struggle every single time. its been over a month so any "breaking one" should have happened by now. It is also pretty difficult to open as it does not stand on its own and you have to balance the stroller while trying to unlock it. Aside for the 2 major negatives, it does fit my 2 year old and newborn comfortably, it has a nice size storage and it drives nicely. I really want to return this stroller and get the uppa baby vista but it's double the price so I'm stuck with this stroller

unsure

arpatel

I wanted this stroller so badly and then we got it and I find it way too hard to go around with it. The wheels dont easily make turns so it makes navigating around hard.

Not worth buying

Mother of two

We registered for this stroller in 2014 hoping to have two children. We now have two and tried them both in it. You cannot have your children in this comfortably at all. Having your oldest face out and the youngest face you. You need to have them both sitting up right. When the youngest wants to sleep it would be nice to recline and you can't! Who the heck sleeps upright? If I could return this stroller I would in a heartbeat. It was a waste of my money

Best if you never have to fold it!

DancerUMD

I wanted to love this stroller. However, it is a big pain to fold up to put in your trunk because everything needs to come off first - stroller seats, car seat adapter, glider (if you're using it). I like the adaptability of the stroller - kids can face either direction, can be used for 1, 2, or 3 kids, add-on of the car seat, etc. However, once you add a second kid, the stroller is HUGE! It moves very smoothly over normal sidewalks, but it is tough to get over a curb. It's very long, so it's also difficult to turn. Lastly, the handles for folding the stroller are always difficult to use. This stroller has a lot of promise but needs some refiguring before it will be terrific!

Great stroller with one major problem

ChrissyDee

This is a great stroller with great features. The only problem is that the front wheels have a locking mechanism on them that are intended to either lock the front wheels into the "jogger" position (so that the wheels will stay straight) or keep the wheels in the normal position (where the wheels can turn and swivel freely, which is how any standard stroller operates). The locking mechanism, however, slips out of the normal position and into the "jogger" position literally once every few minutes whenever I'm using the stroller. I'm constantly having to get down on my hands and knees in front of the stroller while on walks to fix it (because it prevents the front wheels from swiveling). Honestly, its super annoying especially since its a stroller that is supposed to plow through all sorts of terrain and surfaces and I can barely walk in a straight line down my street without having to fix it several times (i'm not exaggerating when I say once every few minutes). The other day I had to fix it twice before I had even reached the end of my driveway. I called Baby Jogger and they were great, they sent out a new pair of wheels right away so I assumed that I had received a defective set with my stroller. However, I put the new wheels on today and they do the exact same thing so, clearly, its a design flaw. Its very disappointing to pay so much for a stroller where once every few minutes the front wheels won't turn and the stroller ceases to be maneuverable! I'm not the only one that has had this issue, as there are lots of videos about it on YouTube and lots of commentary about it on the Internet. It would be an amazing stroller if not for this very obvious and glaring problem.

Stroller Malfunctions

Jonatha

Do not purchase! Buyer Beware Do not purchase! The City Select stroller locking mechanism malfunctioned and collapsed with my 4 month infant in it. Customer service is terrible. Expect to wait weeks to remedy your problem. Please take my advice and spend the extra money for the Vista!

Loved single, HATE double

Jessi

I had this stroller 5 years ago for my son and I loved it. I recently purchased a new one as I have an 18month old and 3 month old. Using with one seat is fine, but not two!!! I just started using the second seat for the baby and I absolutely hate it! The stroller is sooo heavy and you can't fold it with the seats on it. I almost broke my finger as it doesn't lock, so as I pulled it out of my car, it opened up and my finger got stuck in it. Also, you cant recline the seats when using two as there is no room! When my 3 month old is attached in her infant seat, my 18 month old HAS to face me or it wont fit. I can't even see her as the infant seat is in the way. When they are both in the seats facing each other, my 18 month old has a bar in her face. It's just horrible. I spent so much on this and I am so upset with it. I love Baby Jogger, but not this stroller!

Disapointing BEWARE

Alexandra8Lucas

I've had this stroller for a few years now and put up with some major issues because I love all the configurations and the comfort of the seats. However, looking back I wish I had spent my money on a better quality product. After purchasing all the add ons (bassinet, second seat, kick board) I've spent a great deal on a critically flawed stroller. The front wheels shake UNCONTROLLABLY when you pick up any speed. I realize this is not a jogger but I can even walk at a semi quick pack without the wheels going crazy and shaking loudly and uncontrollably. Which is embarrasing but more importantly dangerous and uncomfortable for my children. I thought it might go away or it was one of the wheels so I ordered a replacement wheel but that was not the issue. It seems to be a design or manufacture flaw. Wishing I had seen reviews first as it looks like I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue. Very disapointing for such an expensive stroller! BEWARE!!

Love The Concept, HATE the shaking wheels

Jenna G

I bought this stroller a couple of years ago knowing that I planned to have my children close together in age. The concept is perfect. However, I bought it well before I had my first child and shortly after I started using it, the front wheels shake uncontrollably when pushing it and it makes it almost impossible to keep pushing. You have to lift up the stroller and set it back down but the issue repeats every few seconds. SO annoying! Unfortunately I haven't found a solution to this problem.

Zero space for two growing toddlers

Momofirishtwins

I loved the stroller until i ordered the second seat. There is zero space for leg room for either children. It shows i can have both seats facing each other and my one child has no where to put his legs. Rather disappointed. I could've gotten a stroller for half the price with more leg room.

Piece of garbage

JamieP

It was a great stroller but now its a piece of garbarge just sitting in our gargage since Baby Jogger decided to stop making adapters for certain models of car seats.

Wobbly Wheel

Lauen

The front wheels wobble a lot but i want to fix the problem because this stroller was very expensive

Very versatile but horrible wheels

Jennifer221

I like how many different configurations there are for the seats. However, if I push the stroller more than a turtle's pace, the front wheels start shaking violently. The whole front of the stroller shakes. It's so frustrating. I considered this stroller an investment and was willing to spend the money on it. I will not be buying a Baby Jogger stroller again. It seems there are TONS of people complaining of this same wheel issue, which is unfortunate.

AWESOME! Been everywhere but we can't find parts..

geeberg

We love this stroller. We are on child #3. This stroller has been ALL over the world... even to the top of the Eiffel Tower! But... the basket underneath is giving away and we cannot find a replacement. Please help.

Ideal for many reasons, but

Enluke

It's so squeaky!! I can hear the stroller Everytime I push it. The wheels or frame or both squeak constantly. The releases to have it fold are also very sticky and it takes a good amount of my strength to unlock them. I usually have to do one at a time which doesn't really work. I also wish it would collapse while the seat is facing you, I currently only have one child and he usually faces in, but I have to take the seat off or reverse it to fold it up. I love the pocket that the footrest makes, It almost adds for more storage. We live in a very urban area and this has been great on all types of ground, parks, uneven sidewalks, you name it. The handle bar does feel a bit jiggly on some of the sidewalks around home, though. I guess overall it's sturdy but squeaky and jiggly, which I don't love.

So disappointed

Jmo612

I was so excited about this stroller and it really was a let down. This thing is a beast. It says there are 16 configurations but only a handful actually work comfortably with two kids. The seats are so close together and I just picture them hitting and kicking Eachother as they are literally on top of eachother. The only way the seats can recline is when they are both facing towards me, which no toddler wants to face mom, they want to see where we're going. I had my eye on this thing for over a year and finally splurged - it's going back asap.

Bumpy

Japher

So, I really wish babyjogger brand would make a stroller that can ACRUALLY be used for jogging. Seriously. This is ridiculous. this stroller was recommended to me by a friend who said it was amazing. So I bought it. Super easy to assemble. Easy to use. Comfortable for baby to sit in. But it is super bumpy! You can really feel every crack in the sidewalk. And of course, do not try to jog with it. It's a lot worse. Babyjogger: PLEASE, if it's safe for this stroller, MAKE SOME INTERCHANGEABLE, AIR FILLED TIRES THAT CAN BE USED FOR JOGGING. Or at least a smoother ride. I cringe at every crack I see on the sidewalk or road, cuz it rocks my baby all over the place. I love the concept of this stroller. You can make a ton of different configurations, and I plan on having more than one baby, so I like that I can add them on here. But, the ride is bumpy. And if I were my baby, I'd like a smoother ride.

So so disappointed!

Jer1012

I got this stroller for my baby shower back in April 2016, in June I took it back to babie r us because the folding part on the right hand side was broken, they replaced it with a brand new one, well now it's January 2017 and the new one started having the same issue on the same side and won't lock into place. Ugh so frustrating! I baby my stroller and it's only ever gone from my car to the mall or grocery store. I haven't even had it a year:(

Shaky Front Wheels rendering unusable...

boss

LOVED this stroller for the first 6 months of using it and then the front wheels have gone wobbly like a BAD shopping cart making it unusable...for such an expensive product I was hoping to use this product for years with multiple children!!! I haven't been able to find any posts on babyjogger website to try to troubleshoot this problem, which is surprising now that I've seen so many posts on blogs with others having this same problem.

Bad wheels

Baby daddy

Both back wheels replaced under 1 year warranty because they wobbled now front wheel has come right off the plastic rim - regular use, I push it with kids in it , to and from places. Had stroller just over a year so warranty is out.

love it hate it

katanov89

long story short the handle are useless, rubber ripped of about 6 months after use. And brakes tend to lock up after unlocking them, I have to role back then forward to disengage them.

Great stroller for tiny children

Mommyofthree

*We've had this stroller for 5 years. We're a tall couple with tall babies. *The seats are tiny. They're too short and the weight limit is only 30 pounds. I would love this stroller if the seats were larger. *It's a huge, heavy stroller that's made for tiny children. *I love the size of the basket, the interchangeable seats and the adjustable handle.

Versatile idea, wanted to love but could not

grace1027

The idea is novel, and engineering could've been improved to allow more movement with seats with 2 children in place. Quality? Not so good the underneath basket was coming unstitched within 4 months and maybe 5 uses. With our first lo we purchased 2 and then a 3rd stroller, the select was ok, the other was great but too bulky the 3rd continues to be amazing all around, durability engineering, lightweight, maneuverability on or off road. City Select warranty isn't the best, replacement parts are not cheap.

Great until the wheels stop working

Luckytobealive

I loved this stroller. Told everyone I know to buy one and now the front wheels wobble so bad it can't be pushed and is a major safety hazard. I have my daughter and son in this because it's Designed to hold two kids and it has become a death trap. Don't push the cart across the street it jams up and you could lose your life and your kids lives.

Impossible to push

xoamyxo

Purchased this stroller about 3 years ago! Worked good until we added the second seat! The 2 front wheels shakes SO BAD, its impossible to use! I was crossing the street and the stroller started shaking so bad i couldnt make it across the street and almost got stuck in the middle of the road at a main intersection (thank god my husband was there to help me CARRY it across the street)! Other then that i love it, but i spent almost $800 on this stroller and it doesnt even push??? Not sure what im suppose to do now, im so dissapointed!

The worst ever!

Eva15

Very poor quality! Folding system blocks and it takes forever to fold it! Also a button that adjusts the feet support is missing!!!! Would not buy it again !

not what I had hoped for

wobblywheel

I bought this product for my newborn and three year old. I found out right away that it is nearly impossible to find a comfortable way to lay back the older child and her still have room for her feet. As the girls grew I found the foot room issue in any configuration I tried; with the best option being sibling facing which meant they had their feet on top of each other resulting in fighting. My biggest concern is that when you try to increase your speed in the stroller (eg. crossing a road) the stroller wheels shake to the point that you can not go any faster; this is an issue if a car starts to approach quickly. It is difficult to fold down and awkward to handle once it is folded. Not what you expect when you buy a top of the line product.

Good configurations but wheels didn't last

Damaged tires

Our front swivel wheels started falling apart for absolutely no reason. One day I took the stroller out for a spin and noticed the ride seemed wobbly. Initially I blamed sidewalk but it got worse within a couple blocks. Imagine my surprise when I bent down to examine the wheels and they were disintegrating. The rubber was peeling away. The stroller is useless unless I replace the front wheels. The cost is more than we had budgeted for so now my stroller just sits there.

Problem after problem

sagr80

I purchased this stroller after I had my first baby and had no issues at all. Cleaned it and stored it inside for the winter. I then purchased the second seat after i had my second baby. Shortly after using it with my second baby the front wheels to began to rattle like an old shopping cart making it IMPOSSIBLE to walk any faster than a snails pace. Called customer service and was told that because i purchased the stroller over 1 year ago, i had no warranty and would have to purchase a new set of wheels for $131.64! The folding mechanism also sticks and I often have to get my husband to collapse the stroller for me. Lastly the brake pin seizes up in the back wheel every now and then not allowing the wheel to turn and the only way to fix it is to take the wheel off and fiddle with the pin to get it back in (kind of hard to do out in public with a baby in the stroller!)

Wobbly front wheels

Twinmum

We have a City Select and it has developed front wheel wobble which makes it very difficult to push. I have seen quite a few people report this as an issue which suggests to me that there is an underlying design problem.

Disappointed

Jen86

Was so excited to use my new stroller for the first time today and was disappointed! The front wheels shake continuously. Was hoping this would not be an issue since it was a higher end stroller.

Versatile and easy to use but front wheel issues.

Debb

We have thoroughly enjoyed the city select stroller for our twins. Its versatility is a very nice feature when you have two. The storage is nice and it is realitively easy to use and put together. Our only issue is that the front two wheels have lost their screws that keep the wheels on when going over rough sidewalks. I have replaced the screws but the continue not to function well because other parts have been lost when the screws have fallen out. It would be great if Baby Jogger could replace the parts that hold front wheels together and I would be able to use this great stroller until the twins grow out of it.

No adapters...

katie1211

I'm sure this is a great stroller, but in the two months I've had it since my second daughter was born, I haven't been able to use it. Not a single adapter for any type of car seat is available anywhere, nor is their brand of car seat. I'm so beyond frustrated..this is really poor planning on their part. I'm sending it back, nothing is worth this kind of wait.

Car seat adapter NEVER AVAILABLE!

Andydaza

In the description for the product they mentioned about travel system that isn't available. All the car seat models adapters are out of stock. You should tell your customers that before buying the stroller and the car seat! It is for sure that I wouldn't take this baby jogger City Select stroller!

Horrible

Kbet

Do NOT buy if you’re planning to use as a double because the money-grabbing company does not sell the second seat adapter only anymore!!

Good stroller overall

Melissa

I got this stroller for testing from stellar product testing panel for my review. There is a lot to really like about this stroller. It is attractive. It’s drives really well. It pushes easily and smoothly. The basket underneath is nice and large. My daughter seems to like it and is comfortable in it. The only issues I have with it are that it is a bit heavy and my primary issue is that it is hard to store! When you fold it the foot area just kinda sticks out awkwardly and I doubt it cumbersome and it didn’t fit into my closet. I wish there was a way to fold that area down and then it would be much more compact!

City Select 2 Stroller

CitySelect2

I received this City Select 2 Stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Pannel! I haven’t gotten a lot of time to test it out, but have used it 2 or 3 times already, and honestly love it more than any of my other strollers!! Such a smooth ride for my little one and so many awesome features!! Pros: -Seat can be attached forward or rear facing! - Extra seats can be purchased to make it a double stroller - Very large storage basket underneath! (Comes in handy when shopping!!) - Adjustable handle for my short self, and my taller husband! (LOVED this part!!) - Peek a boo window has magnets to hold it down and when folded back! (Helps a lot when out in the wind) - Handles very well on pavement and rocks or grass! Cons: - Couldn’t really find any, other than the attachments are kind of pricy! - A tad bit bulky when folded up Thank you again Stellar Pannel for sending me this stroller!! I really do love it and plan on using it till the wheels fall off!!

I love it

Su765

I love Everything about the stroller. It is very lightweight and I was able to turn it into a double stroller which is a plus for me. This will be very helpful in the future and now. As I am able to have the stroller for the long run.I love the feeling of the Seats and it’s clearly comfortable for both my little ones. The stroller is easy to maneuver and handle as well as fold up and unfold with the leaver. I’m able to To fit it in my vehicle as well as my garage without taking any room. As well as walking through doorways. My favorite feature is the different configurations I am able to turn both my little ones as well as the huge space for storage. My little ones loved when I would turn the configurations as well as peeking in on them and how comfortable the stroller was. The stroller is a win for me and my family. I also received this product as part of the stellar product testing panel.

Good stroller that will grow with our family

MMNB

This is a great stroller! I have an 8-month-old who is growing out of her infant car seat, which we have been attaching to another stroller we have. She still likes to be facing mom or dad during walks, but our other stroller does not have a movable/rear-facing seat, so this stroll is filling that gap! She fits in it well and I love the customizability of the seat. We have it facing us (the person pushing the stroller), but I love that it can be moved and a second seat can be added for a future kiddo! Other pros of this stroller are that the basket underneath is quite large, the stroller is sturdy, and I love the look of it (we have the grey color)! We don’t fold it much as we leave it parked in our garage, but it was easy to assemble and is easy enough to fold. We primarily use it on walks around the neighborhood and it’s a pretty smooth ride. Here are a few cons we’ve noticed, although none of these are big issues and we’ll happily continue to use this stroller. My biggest complaint is the handle. It is adjustable, but it’s shortest setting is a little higher than I’d prefer (and I’m 5’9”). At its shortest setting, I tend to kick the lower frame as I walk, so I have to extend the handle a bit to keep my body further from the frame. The handle extends out/up but doesn’t rotate, so it only gets taller. I’ve gotten used to it, but some shorter folks may not love this. I also wish this stroller came with a caddy, and you’d have to buy the car seat attachments separately if you want to attach an infant car seat to it, plus we’ll probably buy a second seat someday… so it’s worth noting that a lot of the customizable options require you to buy separate pieces. I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall I’m really happy with this configurable stroller that it filling a gap for us and will grow with our family!

More pros than cons

RNMomma

I had looked at getting this stroller and spent a lot of time contemplating whether it would work for my family. I was hesitant to buy it, mostly due to the price. Then I got the great opportunity from Stellar Product Testing Panel to try out this stroller. I was so excited to have this stroller arrive. It was super easy to put together. I do wish the instructions had the pictures and the written instruction side by side, instead of having to flip back and forth to figure out what some of the pictures were trying to show. The frame seems very sturdy and locks into place easily when unfolded. Once I put it together, I noted how easily it pushed and turned. Definitely can make tight turns, and is very easy to push. I have tried it on various things, hard floor, grass, gravel, dirt and cement/pavement. My child said it was very bumpy on the gravel, but seemed more comfortable than in our other jogging stroller. The sun canopy not only provides SPF of 50, but provides a lot of coverage. Plus the viewing window/vent on canopy is large. Allowing a good view when the seat is forward facing. I love the handle extension. It makes it work better than our other stroller for our family as I am 5'6" and my husband is 6'3". The handle is a great height for me and extends so it is comfortable to for him to push as well. There are various positions for the seat (recline to straight up) and the foot rest adjusts too. The adjustments are great and versatile for a smaller and larger child (and great to support the legs as well (which our current stroller my child's legs just awkwardly hang without support). The seat also easily moves to go from rear facing to forward facing (just the push of 2 buttons). The extra large storage pouch fits SO much! I can put our (large) diaper bag and some toys in the bottom without overloading. It supports up to 15 pounds. Each seat can support 45 pounds. Another great feature is the expandablility of this stroller. With adapters, that are sold separately, you turn the stroller into a double stroller (with 2nd seat or car seat adapter) and then there is a glider board that also attaches, so you can technically have 3 kids 'riding along' at once. The negatives. I do not like how it folds up. Which was another reason I was thinking about this stroller (instead of buying it) before I got the chance to test it. The fold handles are on the sides, and it is awkward to fold it up. I have found it easier to take off the seat to get it to fold. It also doesn't stand by itself when folded. It is, when compared to our other stroller, much harder to fold up. It folds flat, but still has a big foot print when placed in the back of a car. We have a small SUV and it is surprising how much room it does take up. I also found it takes up less room if you take off the seat before folding, because the seat will stack on the frame instead of sticking out further than the frame (see pictures). It does take up less room than our jogging stroller, as this stroller will fold completely flat. I also don't like the buckle. It is a 4 piece structure that slides together. It seems that there isn't a mechanism to keep the top and bottom piece to click together before you attach it to the bottom crotch strap. Overall, I do like the versaitlity and expandability of this stroller. It is easy to push and to change the seat position (both to recline/foot and to change from rear to foward facing.). The shade gives a lot of protection from the sun. My child seemed to prefer this stroller to our jogging stroller and appears more comfortable. There are a few things that I would change, but overall I am very happy with the stroller. I cannot attest to the durability and longevity of the Baby Jogger brand, but if it is what I hope it to be, especially from thier price point on the stroller, I think this stroller should last for the time we need it with our current child and as we expand our family.

Infant and toddler travel system

kath143

I received City Select 2 travel system from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and have used it daily since I received it. The material on the stroller is durable, yet breathable. We like that the canopy can extend and has a UV 50 plus protection. We have 3 and 1-year-old grandchildren, that love to be outdoors, walking or going to fall festivals. The travel system folds easily and is easy for this nana to get in the vehicle when needed. I am able to open the stroller and get both babies in by myself. The grandbabies fit well in the seats and are able to recline enough to even nap. We have been using it to take them to the fall festivals, and it has been great at handling any purchases we make throughout the day. The stroller has an adjustable handle, which enables the driver, pusher to adjust to their comfort. I recommend the City Select 2 system, new parents can be assured that they can add to the system as their family grows.

Beautiful and clean design with flexible seating

SciTeacher11

I received this stroller to test from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and things went smoothly right out of the box. I used the images for assembly as I didn't notice there were written instructions later in the book, and I got everything put together quickly with my 2 year old helping me. Once assembled, my daughter spent most of the evening sitting in the stroller, and she particularly likes the belly bar. Our current stroller does not have anything like this, and she has enjoyed having a place to hold onto while riding, as well as something to help her climb in. I like the higher position of the seat in the standard configuration as I feel my daughter can see things more easily, such as over a fence at the zoo. The belly bar is also a great example of the luxurious look of the stroller - it is very sleek, and the leather look of the handlebar and belly bar give it a rich feel. With plans to expand the family, I really like the option to add additional seating, and I like that I can get adapters to use our current infant carrier if needed rather than buying the one from the brand. The ride of the stroller has also been good on both pavement and some loose gravel so far on walks, but a slight critique was that with my daughter in the seat and the diaper bag in the basket below, I had some trouble getting the front wheels up and over a curb, something I don't normally have an issue with. It also seems a bit tough to push one-handed; I feel a little resistance even on smooth pavement. As a pretty short individual (5'3"), I did also notice that the lowest position of the handlebar was a touch high. It was comfortable, but I wouldn't have minded being able to drop it lower. The basket is nice and large, but the bar at the rear for seating expansion did mean I had to jostle things a bit to get my diaper bag underneath. However, the adjustable footrest on the seat means you can get the bag in from the front as well. On the back of the seat, there is a nice sized pouch for some storage, but it is just a pull-back mesh, not a zipper pouch that might offer more secure storage of items. So far, in storing the stroller in the back of our SUV, we have left the seat on when doing the fold. The fold is very simple, and I like that is folds very flat, but it does limit placement in the car because it is also long. While I might be able to push it to the back and lean it against the seat, it was easier to lay it flat on the bottom, which means we either have to store other items on top of it or under it in the trunk. For our needs, a shorter, but wider fold would have worked, but I can see really benefiting from the flat fold if it is mainly stored in a closet in the home. Overall, it is a beautiful stroller that offers good storage does what a stroller should do with the benefit of the option to add on seating. However, I wish it had a little more storage for parents out of the box rather than having to buy accessories and rode with a little less resistance.

Amazed by this luxury stroller

Hadiyah

The City Select 2 Eco Collection stroller is by far the nicest stroller I have ever owned. The color in Lunar Black, is very classic yet striking and the fabric itself is durable and easy to clean. The maneuverability of it is second to none as it glides effortlessly around the city. Many of the strollers I’ve owned in the past have wheels that just don't turn so well. You wouldn't think such a thing would be a such a big deal but it really is, especially when navigating busy streets. You really need a stroller that can turn quickly and easily! I love the canopy too, which is UV blocking. I appreciate tremendously that the peekaboo flap for adding breathability is magnetic as opposed to a noisy Velcro so that I don’t disturb my sleeping baby. Another feature that I love is that the seat and footrest is adjustable and can even recline all the way back! I also appreciate that the seat can be easily switched to rear facing as well. The storage compartment is much larger than in other strollers as well. While I was not able to test out converting it to a double stroller as I did not purchase the attachments for that, I have seen videos of it and am in awe of how much room each child gets. I’ll definitely be purchasing those attachments for my next child, especially since the car seat attachment fits most infant car seats on the market. Lastly, I absolutely love that the handle is adjustable so that even my 6”3 husband can push the stroller without hunching over. My only complaints are that it does not come with cup holders and that it can’t be folded if the seat is in the rear facing position. You have to switch the seat to forward facing if you want to store it flat. These are just minor inconveniences that are worth noting, in my opinion but do not change my recommending this product. This product was sent to me for testing through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Good Stroller For The Mobile Parent

Avanalstyne

I was sent this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Before even unboxing, I noticed that this was much lighter than other strollers of similar abilities. This stroller was extremely easy to assemble taking no time at all to put together. The wheels stuck out to me, having treads that have the ability to adapt to a verity of surfaces; something not often seen on a stroller of this caliber. The stroller did fold up easily and into a compact form however the hight/angle of the handel did not allow the stroller to stand upright once folded. The basket is lareg enough to hold just about anything you could possibly need to hold for a day trip and maybe even for a weekend! The seat itself is a great size with many safety and comfort features however the material used, while extremely comfortable, does not appear as though it would hold up to long-term wear and tear. Same could be said about the frame; while being primarily plastic allows for the city select 2 to be very light weight it does lead to concerns for the lifespan but seem worth the try.

Amazing stroller

DaddyInBigCity

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Pannel. It took me about 10 minutes to put it together. It is super lightweight, the bottom basket is extremely roomy, I was able to place half a pack of diapers, wipes and still had a ton of more room and that's before unzipping for extra storage! I love that it grows with your family, you can add a second seat and also a third child can ride on the glider board. It is a very luxurious stroller, the handlebars are very nice to the touch, it feels like its the Cadillac of strollers. The wheels are all terrain which I really appreciated when we had to go across a field full of rocks during an outside service. It folds very compact, it has a peekaboo window to check on your kiddo and the 5 point harness is easily adjustable. All in all, it's a great stroller the only downfall is that I wish I had it sooner.

The stroller we all need

Lili87

This stroller was everything I wanted and more. From the ample storage basket to the smooth ride it provided, I can’t say enough good things. I love that there is an option to add additional seating for multiple kids without having to buy another stroller. The canopy is also adjustable which helps if you have a taller toddler! Plus with how light it is, I will not have to get a new stroller, even for travel, which was a top contender for me when looking for a stroller. The stroller was easy to put together and only took about 10 minutes. The directions were easy to follow. My most favorite aspect of this stroller was the compact size it folds into. I can easily fit this in a hallway closet. My little one can be finicky on how a chair feels and she had no issues with this one and climber right in. I am so happy I found our forever stroller. I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

An upgraded version of an already great stroller

Amomto2

I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have an original version of this stroller which I love and have used every day … until I received this one! The pros: this model is much lighter, the shade is longer and covers my 9 month old almost entirely; the material is a huge improvement - it is soft and feels great; the basket is just as large as the prior model, the handle bar is great, my old attachments still work, like the tray; and the brake is now a foot brake as opposed to a hand brake. I really do love this stroller. I didn’t know what I was missing! The cons: I really don’t see any cons to this stroller but my husband mentioned two so I will add here. He didn’t like the lighter weight because he loved the sturdiness of the prior model. Also, the basket in the prior version had a higher front side so that it had to be zipped down to open and place big items. This was a huge pain to open when you only have one hand spare and are trying to fit a diaper bag in there. However, it DID hide all the messiness of my stroller basket. This new model has an equally great basket in size that is much more accessible, but it won’t hide all the chaos!

City Select 2 Eco

Zee9

I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Things that I like: It's a single to double stroller so it will grow with my family The seat fabric is soft and breathable (nice for South Florida weather) Pushes easily and smoothly Compact fold Easy to assemble Things I don't like: To unlock the brake you have to push it up with the top of your foot I would have preferred a rounded handle bar for a more comfortable push The storage basket only holds 15 pounds Stroller does not stand when folded (fine for the trunk of my car but not as practical for my house) Overall nice stroller depending on what your needs are.

Sleek design meets quality functionality

Had0002

I received this City Select 2 Eco Collection stroller as a gift from The Stellar Testing Panel @stellar_reviews in exchange for my review of the product. This stroller is great! I love the quality of the fabrics and materials and it strolls so smoothly on multiple surfaces! The 50+ UV protection canopy is great for sunny walks around the block. This stroller adapts and grows with your family with additional seating and glider board attachments for infants, toddlers and multiples all at once (sold separately). I do wish that I was able to try some of the other parts, especially the infant seat, but the stroller alone is our new favorite. Overall this stroller was easy to put together, but the instructions could have had written notes (the photos were confusing and somewhat difficult to interpret for set up). It easily folds and stores (though it took a few minutes to figure out how to do so) and is fairly light weight for being a full sized stroller. We did learn that you should unfold it on the grass or have two people, as it is difficult to unfold without scratching it due to the way it has to lie to unfold. I love the leather wrapped infant belly bar- and so does my baby! She really loves stroller rides and is very comfortable in this new ride! The safety straps and buckled are secure and not easily opened by little fingers. I would definitely recommend this stroller, and look forward to using it as our family grows! Thanks #stellartestingpanel #stellarreviews

My New Favorite Stroller

Brig

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller. The first thing I noticed about this stroller is how great its wheels are. Our sidewalks aren't very even where we live, and I've had some strollers in the past get stuck on some of the cracks. Not this one! It's a super cute and sleek design, with the ability to add another seat if needed or a glider board. However, you would need to purchase those accessories in addition to the stroller. The stroller doesn't have any cup holders, so you'd probably want to purchase those as well. The seat and the straps are really comfortable. My son was happy the entire time he was riding in the stroller. And the canopy is truly one of the best I have ever seen on a stroller. So much protection from the sun! There is a bar in the front of the seat which is great for attaching toys or fans to keep baby cool. And the undercarriage storage basket is giant, which unzips to give you even more storage space if needed. There is also a mesh pocket on the back of the seat that gives you another place to store things you might want quick access to. The handle extends to make it more comfortable for taller caregivers to push. Overall, it's an excellent stroller and our new favorite.

Amazing product

Pewinsto

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and we love it so far! It’s sturdy but feels light when pushing at the same time. Handles bumps well which was my main concern since our neighborhood sidewalks are not the best kept. It was easy to set up, it rides so smoothly (I can get through by holding the door with one hand and pushing the stroller with the other hand!), folding and unfolding is a breeze, and it looks great. Very stylish and holds both of the kiddos easily!

Excellent Worthy Thoughtful Stroller and Design

Babyboymama

As part of the Stellar Testing Panel, I was lucky enough to get this stroller and honestly am SO happy to have gotten it. Yes, it’s expensive. But it is so so worth it would have bought this stroller over my other name brand, modular system that was equally as expensive. Let me talk about the smart design. First, the stroller very easily collapses through intuitive levers that say “fold”. Secondly, the open is so smooth - open the close-buckle and pull the hand bar and the stroller easily expands. The seat is able to face forward to face you and changing the direction is so easy. The crossbar easily opens and allows for hanging toys. The glide is so so smooth even over uneven, cracked cement in downtown Chicago. Lastly, there is a single break/release footlock and it is quite easy to enable. This stroller would be worth every penny if I had paid for it, and has become our primary stroller even with the other expensive name brand for which we have the whole system. If I could get a do-over, I 100% would have bought this stroller. Get it!! Worth the $600 price tag (even when I have comparable investment in a different brand stroller).

Best stroller EVER

Abby

I am the lucky recipient of a City Select 2 Eco Collection Baby Jogger stroller that I get to review through Stellar Product Testing Panel! This is hands down the best stroller that I’ve ever had the pleasure of pushing. This stroller uses a fabric called TENCEL that helps regulate temperatures. It is so soft and breathable that my daughter is never a sweaty mess when I take her out, even after even the warmest walks. The crunchy mama in me loves that this fabric is also sustainably sourced. I also love that they use leatherette accents on the handlebar and belly bar. It helps to make it look as luxurious as it feels. Another amazing feature with this stroller is that it allows a large variety of brands of infant seats to be used with the purchase of an adapter. I have multiple kids, so I thoroughly love that this stroller has 24 configurations to change this seat from a single, to a double, to even a triple with a gliding board. The storage compartment underneath is HUGE and holds all of our things without the fear of them falling out. My two older kids are in school, so when they are gone, my youngest daughter and I love to go for walks in the park. The park has both paved paths and gravel roads, so the all-terrain wheels on this stroller are a huge asset when it comes to a comfortable walk/ride. Anything that you could ever want to be adjustable on a stroller is available on the City Select 2. My husband and I have huge height differences so the adjustable handle is so convenient for our situation. The stroller is surprisingly compact and fits perfectly in the back of our van. It weighs just under 27 Lbs, so it’s not the lightest stroller, but it’s not ridiculously hard to lift into the car either. The only con that I can think of with this stroller is the instruction manual. It showed assembly with pictures only - it took FOREVER for me to figure out how to get the belly bar on correctly. All in all, you will not be disappointed in this stroller.

Awesome Everyday stroller

jfay

We tried this stroller mostly on walks around the neighborhood. It’s a comfortable drive and ride. Our 15 month old LOVES this stroller and seems so comfy. My 6’ husband loved that he could walk without kicking it when the handle was fully extended. I’m 5’5” and found a great handle position so I could walk comfortably (no reaching/pushing down). It fits in the back of my compact car with room to spare for groceries - but the seat section has to be removed first. It would not be my first choice for off roading, but I think it could handle some walks on the grass if needed. Great every day stroller. I did not try to add a second seat or attach a car seat, but appreciate that is an option if our family grows in the future. It has a good turn radius as well, which is nice for navigating smaller spaces. What I love: The adjustable handle, the adjustable seat (recline, foot rest angle, and ability to face away or me while strolling), the luxurious material (so soft to the touch), the MASSIVE storage - fits our large diaper bag and more!), the ability to add a second seat down the road, and the large canopy to keep sun off our little one. What I think could be better: The harness clasps are a little tricky at first, I wish there was a cup holder included for the adult, and I wish I could fit the stroller in the back of my car without taking the seat off first. I also am not sure how long we can use the canopy - our daughter’s head is close to the top already. Wanted to say thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller. We will definitely be using it a lot!

Great all around stroller

KkVirkus

As a new mom I’ve spent hours searching for the perfect stroller, so I was very excited when I received the offer to test out the City Select Baby Jogger 2 Eco Collection from Stellar Product Testing Panel….like, REALLY excited! And let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint! It is lightweight and very compact. The wheels are large and can easily glide over grass, pavers and gravel. It has all of the features you want and need, including a large basket, seat recline and adjustable handlebar. Two of my favorite features are the large canopy (great for our Florida sunshine!) and the extra little pocket on the back of the seat. I also appreciate that this stroller is capable to fit a second seat and a glider board, so I’m not going to have to go out and get another stroller when baby number two comes along! If I had to critique anything, it would be the bar across the back that makes it challenging to get my diaper bag into the storage basket. Also the handlebar extends higher but doesn’t rotate up and down, I think that would be a nice feature as well. Neither of these things are a deal breaker for me and I very highly recommend this stroller. The search is over- this baby does it all!

Baby Jogger City Select 2 Eco Collection

Kyra

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I have had the pleasure of testing out the Baby Jogger City Select 2 Eco Collection Stroller. Let me tell you, this stroller is beautiful! The high end fabrics and sleek design are not only eye catching, but functional. My daughter frequently enjoys snacks while taking walks and WOW the fabric on this stroller wipes clean so easily! It won’t be hard to keep it looking like new. I also love how it glides down the sidewalk, providing such a smooth ride. My favorite feature however, is the seat. Other strollers have seats that are too narrow or short, making for an uncomfortable little one. The city select 2 eco collection truly steps it up when it comes to comfort. The seat is nice and deep and the foot rest is easily adjustable. No more dangling or squished feet here! More comfortable baby = more steps for mama! That’s a huge win in my book. Additional features that I enjoyed are: the compact design, easy fold, large storage area, and the center foot controlled break. This stroller was SO well thought out. The only thing missing is an included cup and phone holder for mom. The Baby Jogger City Select Eco Collection stroller is an amazing stroller that I would 100% recommend to family and friends. Bonus points for the ability to add a second seat and/or glider board. Huge thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel! We love this stroller!

Great value with fantastic features

SaraF

This stroller is easy to use, easy to store and has many great features! Overall, the assembly was quick and directions were easy to follow. We did struggle with adjusting the seat belt to a higher slot, which requires you to fit your hand in a tiny area and twist the strap out. However, since this is something that won't be done often, it wasn't too big of a deal. We took this stroller on many neighborhood walks. You can push it and steer it one handed, which is a huge plus. It has a smooth, quiet ride. Our other daily use stroller has a large undercarriage basket that sometimes gets in the way if a tall person with a large stride is pushing the stroller. On the City Select 2, the large basket underneath can be made smaller when not in use. My tall newly 2 year old routinely chooses this stroller over our other stroller. He is obviously very comfortable and enjoys riding in it! I can appreciate that the seat fabric is removable for easy washing, however, the design makes it look slightly less finished than some other similar strollers. The stroller is super simple to fold and store when not in use. Since it folds fairly compact, it takes up less space in our trunk and our garage than our other stroller. This stroller is cheaper than other convertible two-seater strollers but has many more thoughtful features. We look forward to buying a second seat for this stroller so that our family can use it for the long run. I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Beauty Ease Comfort

Erin

Beauty, Ease and Comfort describe the City Select 2 Eco Collection Stroller wonderfully. I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I immediately set up the stroller as soon as I received it, and it took no time at all! Seriously less than 10 minutes to put it together for its first use. It was actually super intuitive to put together-I didn’t even need the directions-but made sure to follow them to make sure I was putting the stroller together safely. The directions and illustrations were well explained and easy to follow. Once together, I was impressed with the sleek design of the stroller. The black aluminum frame and details such as the black leatherette handle and belly bar make this stroller look very sleek and on trend. The Eco Collection includes breathable fabric which is a major plus on warm day walks. The 5 point harness and buckle were easy to fasten and unfasten. The tires are all terrain and never flat, which included with a great suspension, makes for a really smooth and easy maneuverable ride. The basket underneath is large, and provides ample room for baby + toddler gear. Another great feature of this stroller is that it will accommodate my growing family! It can be configured in 24 different ways, and each seat can hold up to 45 lbs! That’s a major selling feature as other brands have a much smaller weight limit! I will be ordering an additional seat and glider board so my toddler who sometimes wants the stroller and sometimes doesn’t, has options! The only teeny tiny gripe I have about the stroller is when folded, you can’t set it down standing up, making it a bit awkward to adjust to load it in the car. Honestly though, once I get used to it I can see it being a non-issue. The stroller is lightweight and folds surprisingly flat, great for loading in the car or storing it when not in use! This stroller is great and I really could go on and on about the features! There are just way too many to count. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this stroller to anyone and everyone.

What a smooth ride

OsMama

I'm a mom to a 2 year old and 3 month old and I'm always on the hunt for things that make my life easier. My son tries to insist on walking everywhere these days but when I'm by myself I'm much more comfortable getting around when both kids are in a stroller. The stroller we had left a lot to be desired and while we love our wagon it's a lot to deal with and not compact. I've been looking for about a month for a solid stroller option and was willing to pay for convenience and options! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller. Pros: 1. So sleek. I'm not someone who gravitates towards black, but I have to say the all black design is super modern and attractive. It made me feel chic at the pediatrician (despite my messy bun and athleisure wear). 2. Way lighter than it looks! I can lift this into the trunk with 1 hand no problem.  3. Easy to open buckle. My Saint of a mother-in-law has arthritis and watches our kids frequently - she struggled so much with the buckle on our last stroller that she would have to call us to help her get it open. This has a nice large button that doesn't require excessive hand agility and strength to open.  4. XL hood with XL viewing window. Does a great job blocking out the sun and wind and makes it super easy to quick peek at baby (see attached pic). 5. Easy to access brake. To the genius who put this in the middle vs. wedged next to the wheel where I have to ruin my pedicure to engage: THANK YOU! 6. One-handed removal of wheels for smaller storage. Our previous stroller took up way too much space in the car, especially on road trips, but a quick click of a button (see attached pic) and you can remove the wheels for a much flatter fold. 7. XXL storage underneath (with ability to unzip for even more storage). 8. It's the little things in this stroller that continue to bring a smile to my face when I use it. Like labeling the part you need to pull to fold it with FOLD (see attached picture). This seems like a minor thing but on my old stroller I was always trying to wriggle the wrong side frustratingly and usually with a crying baby in tow. Or like putting hang tags on removable accessories so you can easily store them on a hook. I'm obsessed with organization and things like this make me want to sing a company's praises. Or the fact that it comes with strap protectors when you usually have to purchase those separately.  Cons: 1. I went online to purchase additional accessories and most have below 4 star reviews. As an example I wanted to purchase the glider board (which I was excited about for my 2 year old) but it only has 3 stars. In reading the reviews there are very valid issues mentioned - hard to push, handle bar is in the way, scratches when attached, etc. Being that this stroller is being advertised as heavily customizable the company needs to make sure that the quality of the accessories matches the stroller! This was enough for me to dock 1 star.  2. Minor con but I wish the instructions were color coded or something similar to better show what comes with the initial purchase vs. what is an available accessory to purchase. See the attached pic of instructions to see what I mean. I read the instructions before taking out the stroller and was confused by what I was going to be pulling out of the box (and a little disappointed). Verdict: Would I want to purchase this stroller knowing what I know now? If I had only 1 kid, absolutely! The features and the convenience are fantastic. Until they get their additional accessories up to par, though,I don't think I'd want to purchase for more than 1 kid. I'm really crossing my fingers they're taking the feedback on the roller board soon so I can purchase!

Great stroller terrible stock

Nyc mom of 2

Overall the stroller is nice great quality and comfortable my only complaint is that they seem to be out of stock all the time on the big things. I bought this stroller in hopes since its a big company I wouldnt have a problem like this but here we are 2nd time im looking for something that they "out of stock" and should be getting soon but still haven't. Im disappointed in this and makes me wonder if should move to another company

Too heavy

NewMommyOC

Great looking stroller but extremely heavy! I’m struggling getting in and out car!

Disappointed to say the least

Slieby

I have used this stroller for less than 1.5 years and the recline lever broke. I was told I have to buy a $225 seat to fix something that broke that I had nothing to do with. We got this stroller because we wanted our kids close in age, I am currently due in November and was already intending on purchasing the second seat for our new baby. So essentially that’s going to be $450 in seats since we were going to get one anyways for the new baby which is the same price of a different stroller brand! I am utterly disappointed with the lack of “customer support” I received.

A brand that doesn’t grow with your family

Daniela Jaramillo

You want the best advice? Don’t buy this brand!! We bought the city select lux stroller because we wanted the best, now that we have our second kid, we can’t find to buy the accessories for the second seat because it’s discontinued! So now Baby jogger has a newer model that is not compatible with the one before. Save yourself a headache and don’t buy from this brand, maybe in 2 years they’ll discontinue this model too.

Limited basket access with 2nd seat attached

Natasha M

Love how light and maneuverable this stroller is. I had the older version and it was a beast to push and very clunky. This new model is a dream to push. The only thing I don't like is that there is a support bar in the back that blocks full access to the storage basket. It's super frustrating when you have 2 seats attached and makes the basket almost unusable. I have to fight to get my baby bag out everytime. If they could figure out how to raise that metal bar in the back and give us better basket access, this would be the world's best double stroller. Love this stroller but basket access (when 2nd seat added) is a huge issue that they need to address and haven't resolved from their first model.

Frustrated owner

Frustrated owner

I bought the original city select stroller about 2 years ago with the intent of continuing use with our expanding family, however, it is now impossible to find correct adaptors and accessories. You’d think for such an expensive stroller there would continue to be accessories made available. I should have gone with the Uppa Baby!!!

Not impressed for the price

Gabe

Bought this stroller expecting great things and have been pretty disappointed. First off it does but fold up easy and gets “stuck” a lot when trying to fold. Second the seat also gets “stuck” and jams when trying to adjust the position. The cup holders get in the way when trying to adjust the seat and have also fallen off a couple times. I also think the 5 point harness is hard to get a squirming kid in and out of.

Disappointed

Cmarie

I would be very hesitant to purchase this stroller if you have hopes of expanding it with the 2nd seat in coming years. I invested in the original city select less than 2 years ago for my first baby, and now am expecting my second. However, I unfortunately just learned that they no longer make a 2nd seat for the city select and the 2nd seat for the city select 2 is not compatible. It appears that MANY people were left in this same situation. So I would not trust baby jogger, as they could easily update their design again at any time and leave you stuck with a very expensive single stroller with no options to expand.

Ok stroller, not worth the price IMO

sgedwards208

I was so excited about this stroller after reading all of the reviews and I was desperate to find a double stroller that was compatible with our key fit 30 infant car seat. The reviews of the stroller were amazing so I went ahead and purchased it. I was disappointed when it arrived after paying close to $800 for what seem to be a skeleton of a stroller. It literally comes with the bare minimum, one seat and that’s it, yet it is advertised as a double stroller and all of the different configurations that are possible are also heavily advertised. Don’t be fooled, however, if you want a second seat that is an additional order and cost, if you want a place to put your water or your toddlers water that is also additional order and cost. The adapter in order to fit the car seat was also an additional order and cost. I was shocked that there was no cup holder or snack tray associated with the larger chair, and you guessed it… that’s an additional order and cost. Despite all these the most frustrating thing about the stroller was that it was advertised as a stroller great for a toddler and infant. When my barely 3 year-old sat down in the seat he was too big for it. He fit the weight limit outlined by the stroller’s user manual, and he’s not incredibly tall for his age yet he basically has to duck down in order for his head to fit underneath the canopy. It is impossible to actually use the canopy with him being the height he is at this current moment. He can still sit in the seat but is it a tight fit and as he grows he will outgrow the seat making the stroller not compatible to push my two children around in. The other thing I noticed about the stroller after using it several times is the wheels are not rubber, they are a hard plastic, which again for the price seems very cheap. We live in a relatively flat neighborhood with streets and sidewalks that are in very good condition but the ride is incredibly bumpy, especially for my infant whose poor little body and head get jostled around with every bump or crack in the road and sidewalk. It is not a smooth ride at all. Our previous two strollers which are hand-me-downs from friends and free have better accessories and a smoother ride than this one. Overall I’m pretty disappointed in the stroller and if your goal is to have a smooth riding stroller that you can fit two children in of different ages I would definitely pursue other options. Lastly, the title of the stroller is baby jogger, however it clearly states in the owner manual that this stroller is not meant to be used for jogging. To try and end on a positive note, it is a very pretty looking stroller and as far as it being easy to push it does meet that requirement. If you’re planning on only using the stroller inside, say at the mall or somewhere where there will not be any type of terrain then you will likely get a good ride out of it.

Buyer beware

Julia s

It is not a double unless you buy the adaptors AND!!! The car seat and basinet they sell with the stroller also don’t connect without purchasing 50$ adapters for each thing. The whole reason I bought everything in the same brand was so I didn’t have to deal with adaptors and this junk set requires adapters for everything! I will never buy again.

City select lux was way better

Daddaddad

Bought the city select lux stroller 2 years ago because it was branded to “grow with your family”. Then baby jogger discontinued it and all of its accessories. So now we are having a second child, and we can’t buy any accessories (second seat, snack tray, etc.) because they discontinued it. Tried the select 2 for a few days (borrowed a friend) and it is not nearly as good as city select lux. Does not have a hand break, has a restraining bar (why is this needed with when the child is buckled in?), seat does not fold in half for easy storage (city select lux’s seat folds and breaks down with the stroller). Talked with someone at customer service (who was very nice!) but they can only offer a rebate if you buy a new stroller, or will buy your stroller back (for $185, 1/4 of the price we bought it for), both of which are not great options for those who 1. Can’t afford a $700+ stroller and 2. Need a stroller and can’t mail theirs in and be strollerless until they get the payment for the mailed in stroller. Baby jogger needs to keep accessories of previous models available, for normal people who can’t afford to buy a $1000 stroller (after second seat, accessories, etc.) every 20 months. Or, make the new accessories for your newer models adaptable for older models. If you can find the city select lux with all the accessories, buy it!

Noisy

LindseyIzzy

For being such a "high end" stroller it is so noisy! thought we'd try something different then our first UPPABABY because we now need a double stroller but this is NOT quiet! It rattles with every bump. so unhappy especially with it being so expensive!

Here because the Lux is no longer being made/sold?

Disappointed Dad

My wife and I bought the City Select Lux Stroller in late 2019 for our first child, but only recently found out the Lux is no longer being manufactured when we are expecting a 2nd child. We were immensely disappointed from this and have been forced to try various avenues to save us from spending another $600 for a brand new stroller system. To save us money, we purchased the Select 2 second seat kit in hopes it will work on the Lux and we have found it DOES work. We had to purchase the Lux 2nd seat bracket/poles separately as the Select 2 brackets/poles DO NOT work on the Lux. Although we have been lucky to find some Lux brackets/poles still in stock somewhere before they are gone forever, we are extremely disappointed that our stroller system is no longer being made and due to this, if anything breaks or goes wrong with our Lux/2nd seat, we will go to a different company for a new stroller system and we will not purchase another product of Baby Jogger again.

Not as good as the LUX version

Mara912

I've had all versions of the city select and I absolutely love the new fabric in the eco version that I purchased, but the frame leaves a lot to be desired for the cost. This is almost like a show stroller not to be used unless going in and out of stores not for walking on pavement even as it is not a smooth ride. There is no brake on the handle and there is no suspension like the LUX version. I am actually disappointed.

Flaws

Gine

Let me just start with the negatives…. I do not like that there is no place for parents to put their items on the handle bar…. I do not like that when you recline the seat the sun shade goes with it therefor not covering the child from the sun while reclined… last I do not like how the belly bar swings up and so close to the child it should have swung out like the snack tray… I removed the belly bar and replaced it with the snack tray… I do however like the heir of the seat I don’t have to bend completely over to put my child in and he seems to like it way better then the city mini gt stroller we have

My Go-to stroller

JenMofFL

I’ve had this stroller and been using it as a double for 7 months now. Everyone tells you a tandem is hard to push but I have had no trouble this the City Select. My kids are exactly 2 years apart in age. The fold is easy and I love all the storage basket space. I currently own 4 strollers ( 3 doubles) and this is the one I keep in my vehicle and use the most. My only cons are that it does not have a standing fold, I wish the canopies were a bit longer (compared to others I’ve used but they are sufficient) and I wish they had the bench option their Lux model use to have.

Great, versatile stroller

KatieR

We have only had this stroller for about a month but we really like it. It is very versatile, can go over many terrains, and hops curbs like a champ. The storage basket is incredible. I saw a lady shopping at Costco using one of these strollers and had all of her items in the storage basket rather than using a cart! That’s what inspired me to buy this. We only have one seat attached at the moment, but bought a second seat for our second baby that is coming in the spring. The stroller is manageable for me to carry up or down a single flight of stairs with one seat attached (while being pregnant) but it gets significantly heavier when the second seat is attached. I believe it’s recommended to take the seats off to fold it, especially when 2 are connected, but I did find a YouTube video that demonstrates how to fold it with 2 seats. That is a nice feature but, again, makes it heavy so you won’t be going too far like that. I like how this stroller fits in our car. While it takes up about half of our trunk in the position we lay it in, other stuff can be stacked around or on top of it, and it’s significantly smaller than the old jogging stroller we have (which takes up the entire trunk of our 4Runner). My biggest complaint is minor- when I redo the shoulder straps to adjust for larger/smaller children to fit in the seat, the adjustment is a pain in the neck. But you only need to do this once in a while as your kid grows. Car seats can be similarly difficult with the shoulder straps. It’s obvious that this stroller is very well made and sturdy. It’s very nice and only has a few minor things that make it shy of “perfection”….but I don’t think any stroller is going to reach that level and it certainly won’t solve ALL of my problems as a mother ;)

Awesome stroller

Fallon

I love this stroller. I had a city mini with my first and look forward to using this one with baby number 2.

Great purchase

Katey C

Great stroller for infant & toddler! We purchased the Nuna infant car seat adapter & it works perfectly with our Pipa Lite seat. My toddler loves facing forward and we love the different configurations available. I will say it is heavy and sometimes is difficult to push over bumps. We have to turn it backwards & go over large bumps w/ the back wheels first.

Good value and quality, but it could improve

Milos

Overall, we are pretty happy with the stroller (we use it with the two tandem seats). It's a bit larger and bulkier than we imagined, but the extra space is good, considering that our kids are two years apart. Also the pockets behind seats as well as the storage area at the bottom, makes taking backpacks and all the supplies easy. The stroller feels sturdy, and easy to assemble. Also the freedom to configure the two seats around to face multiple directions makes it great. On the con side, we don't like the baby/ toddler locking mechanism. It's complicated and takes a while to put together, especially when the little ones are moving. In addition, there is a sharp metal part that occasionally scratches my hand when folding or handling the stroller.

Good overall but a couple issues

BandB

We've been using this stroller for almost 8 months and really like it overall. It's smooth and comfortable for us to push, has a great sized storage compartment underneath, and the quality of the materials feels really nice. I really like the shade with the little flap so you can peek in at your babe and it provides more circulation. I also love the parent storage compartment and drink holder. However, the main issue we have is around closing/folding the stroller. Firstly the side levers that you need to pull up to close it are extremely difficult to pull on. They are always stuck or stiff and I have to use both hands to do each side. The stroller doesn't fold up super compact which is ok, it's small enough for the car and we knew this before purchasing. The other main issue with folding is the unfolding. There isn't really an easy way to do it- it's clunky and difficult to do. We often lay it on the ground then open it which is not ideal in public. But once it's open I love it!

No need to look any further

AshinKc

I wish I would have purchased this stroller from the get go. It’s AMAZING!! I will never need another stroller!

Love and definitely recommend

Peaches

Love how light weight it is and easy to assemble, very easy to push with two kids

Love the stroller for the most part

Cr22

I've had the stroller for over a year here are some points to consider. 1. Only negative was that the lever to fold the stroller is difficult to use. Uppa baby vista lever was easier to use. 2. Better price than other brands for compact stroller that can be single or double. 3. Very easy to attach/remove carseat (used city go 2 infant car seat) and stroller seat. 4. Solid stroller!

Love!!

Sarah M

Love this stroller! Exceeded my expectations- super smooth ride, light weight for the category type, easy to maneuver, fold, etc. highly recommend!

City Select 2

JYoung

This is our new FAVORITE stroller. I really don’t think my son will use our original stroller because of how much he likes this one. It’s much lighter than I expected, it folds down well and fits in the trunk of my Corolla very easily, has TONS of space underneath so you can haul so many things and it expands, and our favorite feature is the seat and how it can face forward or towards me. Another thing is it sits a little higher than I expected but that’s a huge plus because my son can see everything and he stays happy the ENTIRE time I’m shopping or walking. I was curious how much I would like the 4 wheels because I’ve always used a 3 wheel but it glides like a champ! Very easy to jog with as well. Thank you Stellar Panel for sending me this stroller to try out, we may just get an extra to replace our other stroller for dad!!

Built to last

Torali

I’m a mom with 3 kids and 6 strollers so I’ve (literally) been around the block when it comes to strollers and I was super excited when I was given the opportunity to try out the City Select 2 from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The box was much smaller than expected, so I was nervous that that meant it would take a while to assemble. Nope, it just has a much smaller than expected folded size. The compact fold is great for when I have the stroller in my trunk. It leaves so much room!! The engineer in me loved how intuitive it was to put together and how solidly built it was. Every detail seems like it was made to last, even down to the thick lock clasp (the part that always broke first on other strollers). The color is absolutely gorgeous. It’s dark enough to not stain, but much more interesting than just black. The basket is giant, I feel like I could fit my almost 5 year old in there. The ride is the most smooth out of any of my strollers - it even feels better to push than my running stroller! I love the magnetic peek a boo window on the sun shade. It keeps the sun out of my baby’s eyes, but I can peek in when I want to check on him. The wheel lock is easy to use and, once again, solidly built. I can’t express enough how this stroller is built to last. This is the stroller that you will use with all of your kids. I already am looking at getting a second seat for my two year old.

Great quality but a little bulky

Wendy

I have had the City Select 2 for a few weeks now. It is a very good stroller, with a couple of inconveniences. First thing I noticed when opening the box is how sturdy the stroller feels. It has a very rigid aluminum frame which seems well made. It also makes the stroller pretty heavy. I am used to cheaper made plastic strollers, and there is a noticeable difference in quality and weight. As I was assembling it, I liked that the wheels were removable. In my other strollers, the wheels had to be pressed in very hard, and are then permanently attached. These wheels slide in very smoothly and can be removed with a push of a button. I didn't think that I would need to remove the wheels very often, but I liked having that option. Once I had it fully assembled, I folded it to be stored. It is very easy to fold in half, but once folded, it can't stand on its' own. All of my other strollers can stand on the end for easy storage. Now I see why the wheels are so easily removable. You need to remove the wheels for it to stand for storage. This is a small extra step, but it is a bit annoying. But I guess that is the trade-off for a more sturdy stroller. The leg rest also can not be folded closed, so in the "compact" mode, it is still very long. If you have a small car, you may need to do some disassembly to get it to fit. While it may be a bit bulky to store, the City Select works very well when in use. I have only used it with one seat, but it seems easy to attach another seat if you have two little ones. I really like the large wheels. Having smaller plastic wheels gives most less expensive strollers a very bumpy ride. This stroller has nice soft large wheels, which the ride a lot nicer. Even though it is my heaviest stroller, it is actually the easiest to push. The bigger wheels really make uneven sidewalks much more bearable. The handle also adjusts height so you can find a more comfortable arm position. As full disclosure, I received this stroller from Stellar Product Testing Panel, in exchange for an honest review. I do not get compensated extra for a positive review, just the stroller for my opinion. With that said, it is an expensive stroller. Price is always a concern, and especially when having a new baby. This is definitely the best quality stroller of any that I have owned. Since I already have a stroller, I don't think it would be worth my money to upgrade to this stroller. But if I didn't have any stroller, and I needed to buy one, I do think that the City Select is probably worth the extra money. So if I had to do it again, I would probably just buy this really good stroller to start with, then I can buy the upgrades to add a second seat later.

Never want to use another stroller again

Anonymous

I am in LOVE with this jogging stroller! I don’t ever want to use another stroller again! As a young mom, I really appreciate that this stroller has the capability to expand into a double stroller for my family. There is a lot more space between the two seats than conventional double strollers which is a plus. The compact ability of this stroller is second to none! It’s perfect for saving space and can even fit in our small trunk! The City Select 2 has a beautiful design and definitely has a high end feel to it. The handle bar is adjustable, so I can get the perfect height for when Dad uses it too. The storage space under the seat is huge and can fit my entire diaper bag! This stroller handles superior to ANY other strollers I’ve tried! The front wheels pivot and it has sturdy rubber wheels that allow for tight turns and one handed steering. My favorite feature has to be the versatile design, hands down! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

Wonderful family stroller

Maggie

We love the City Select stroller! We received this stroller to test and share our feedback. Our 1.5 year old loved riding in the stroller + we loved pushing it. It rolled like a dream, so smooth and easy to turn! Mom’s favorite feature was the peek-a-boo flap on the top of the canopy so you can see your little babe easily (see the photo). This stroller was easy to fold and stow in the back of the car. It is still a little bulky once folded, but fit easily into our SUV. It was incredibly easy to fold + lock into a folding position, as well as quickly unfold and securely lock into a useable position. We have just the basic model, but are looking forward to purchasing the adaptation to make this a two seater stroller, as we see this stroller growing with our family and being the only one we use.

Compact and convenient single to double stroller

Jennifer

The Baby Jogger City Select 2 has the most configuration options I have seen as well as the easiest folding double stroller that I have found. The folding mechanism is exceptionally easy, though perhaps a bit less easy than my single stroller. Two handles at folding points on either side are pulled to allow the stroller to collapse. It's simple and easy to do, and the stroller collapses to a surprisingly small bundle considering its size and strength. This stroller has so many configurations. You can use it with car seats or with stroller seats. You can have your children facing forward or backwards. Foot rests and canopy can both be adjusted to fit your baby. Fairly large wheels make this a great city stroller. It pushes so easy on smooth surfaces like sidewalks, parking lots, the mall, and stores. If looking for something for parks or any sort of terrain though, this stroller would not be ideal since it only has 2 wheel suspension. Among the better points in the design of this stroller include: 1) Adjustable/extendable telescoping handle that fits both my husband at 6’2” and myself at 5’3” 2) Front wheel suspension 3) Holds up to two 45-pound children, depending on configuration 4)Very large basket for a day out in the city or an afternoon of shopping at the mall 5)incredibly compact fold While this does not have the luxurious feel of more expensive single to double strollers, it is half the cost of a similar single to double versions which is one of the biggest pluses in my book. This also folds more compact than my single stroller and fits easily in the back of our compact car. This is definitely our new everyday use and travel stroller. Our 8 month old absolutely loves riding in this stroller and seems so comfortable in the seat. She frequently takes naps when out and about in the stroller and I love that with a parent facing option, I can easily check on her during her naps. It has a nearly flat recline which helps me to feel confident in her safety while napping as well! I will definitely be recommending to friends that this stroller go on their baby registry’s. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with the City Select 2. I was thrilled to try this out and be able to give other moms my honest opinion.

Quality and Style

BizBee10

My one-year old and I love this stroller. We received CitySelect stroller as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It was quick and easy to assemble right out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised at how compact it is. The seat can face forward like a traditional stroller or can be installed the other way to face me, a feature that my kiddo really enjoys. I love the smooth ride and the grippy handlebars made me feel like the stroller was secure in my hands even downhill. We will definitely be using this stroller for a long time.

One and done

Phasmamom

My first thoughts after putting this stroller together: luxurious. It is very smooth and high quality. Previously we were a family who bought the best stroller for each individual situation. We had a convertible infant car seat/stroller, a high-end umbrella stroller, and a jogging stroller. We still use the jogging stroller and the umbrella stroller on a regular basis. We received this stroller as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My son was very excited about this stroller. He is at the higher end of the weight/height range at about 36 inches tall (almost 3 years-old). I think he likes that he is more upright and can see well. At the same time he can recline if sleeping. That is a nice feature. The biggest thing I like about the stroller is the large canopy. I try to protect him from excess sun exposure when possible, and this does that well. I think this stroller would be best for a family looking for a nice option that can grow with their family. While it is smooth, it is really best for smooth sidewalks or other city settings. Aired tires would be preferable for trails or other non-smooth surfaces. At the same time, this is not a tiny stroller that is easy to fold and take on-the go. What it is is flexible for changing family sizes. The ability ti have one stroller be a double or triple option (with the glide board) is a high perk for many families. I would choose this stroller if I had another child as I have no interest in a double-wide situation that is hard to maneuver. As it is, we will likely continue to use the umbrella stroller and jogging stroller (for walking) in their respective settings.

We love it

MNmama

First off, I will say that we have one 18-month old little boy and we love our City Select Eco 2! There are a ton of pros and just a couple of cons that I’d like to mention: Pros: -Quick and easy to assemble for the most part. It took my husband about 10 minutes to put together, with the exception of the belly bar…more about that below. -This stroller is has a sleek design! I love the black color, and the leatherette handle bar and belly bar are a really nice touch. -It seems to be very comfortable for my son. He loves it, especially holding onto the belly bar as we stroll along! -The main purpose of this stroller for our family is taking walks around the neighborhood. This stroller rides very smoothly! -The extended canopy is another great feature. Skin cancer runs in our family, so keeping the sun’s rays from directly hitting the majority of our little guy’s body is a major plus! -It’s fairly lightweight and quick/easy to fold. It fits in the truck of our SUVs with room to spare. -The under seat storage compartment is HUGE, which is so necessary and appreciated because we always seem to be traveling with so much stuff! -I love that this stroller will grow with our boy. You can very easily adjust the stroller to accommodate your growing child. You can adjust the angle and the length of the footwell, the length/height of the handlebar, the angle of the backrest, and expand and/or remove the storage basket if desired! -While we have only used this stroller as a single stroller so far, I LOVE that it can be the only stroller our family will ever need, as it can be assembled into 24 configurations and accommodate up to THREE kids at the same time! Wow! We’re hoping to grow our family in the near future, so this feature is very important for us! Cons: -The belly bar was the most complicated piece to assemble. The installation pictures for this particular piece aren’t the most clear and it wasn’t until after we finally figured it out about 10 minutes later that we realized there are written directions listed at the very end after all of the pictures. I think it would be more user friendly if the written instructions were directly underneath or besides the corresponding picture(s) so that you don’t have to flip between multiple pages every step or two throughout the assembly process. -Adjusting the safety harness was also much more difficult than I felt it should be. You have to squeeze your hand behind the back pocket while twisting the plastic square stopper through the PE board. The fit is extremely tight, while also having your hand at an awkward angle behind the pocket, making it an obnoxious task to adjust. That said, you should only have to adjust these every once in a while, so it’s not a huge con in the grand scheme of things. -I wish it came with a cup holder/storage organizer. I had to purchase one of those separately. -I wish it would stand upright on its own when folded to decrease the amount of space it takes up. That said, you can lean it up against something sturdy if wanted. In my opinion, the many pros far outweigh the couple of minor cons, and I would definitely recommend this stroller to any family looking for a comfortable, dependable, attractive looking stroller for their little one(s)! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller!

Look for another company. Their service is terrible, and the product isn't worth the money. Go with UPPAbaby if you can.

Discontinued without warning

CC123

I am very disappointed by my experience with Baby Jogger. After hours of research, I concluded that the City Select travel system would be best for us. We liked that it could transfer easily from car to stroller, and we bought it hoping to easily transition to a double stroller. Now that I’m expecting again, I went to order the adapter for a second seat only to find that the stroller and ALL accessories for it have been discontinued. You would think that after a customer gets a $400+ product they would at least be notified of an upcoming discontinuation and offered a chance to get necessary parts and accessories. Chatting with customer service was no help. They were unwilling to provide any solutions, although they did send me a link to a retailer that is selling the price at 3x the original cost. Very disappointing!

Bad front tires

TiTi

I should have read the reviews before wasting money on the City Select. I would have seen that in a very short time the front wheels would fall apart. After spending almost $400.00 on a stroller you would expect it to stand the test of time. And now if I want to continue to use it I have to put out another $40.00 for each front tire. I will be telling all my family and friends that are expecting and that have small children to save their money and get something different. You would think that if more than a few people have the same issue with the front tires that the company would either recall or offer a replacement.

Great Stroller, Awful Front Tires

Anonymous

We’ve had this stroller for a couple years and the front tires are totally shot. They’re not the same material as the rear tires so they’ve completely worn down to the rims. If you’re comfortable replacing them for $40 each, then I absolutely recommend this stroller. Tires aside, the rest of it has held up well for our children.

Reason for review: Front wheels chatter

NH2190

I received this stroller of my registry after my sister in law recommended it to me. My first time taking my baby for a walk (on pavement) I heard a loud rattling/chatter noise from the front wheels. I was using the car seat attachment at this time. I called customer service and they sent out a new stroller and I mailed the one I received off my registry back. However, the new stroller that I received makes the same rattling/chatter noise just as loud if not louder than the first stroller did. My son recently moved into the seat rather than the car seat attachment so I thought this may improve the problem by putting more weight on the front wheels however it did not. I rarely use this stroller as I am embarrassed with how loud the rattling is and it creates a bumpy ride for my son. I regret going with this stroller. I was in between this one and the vista and I wish I would’ve read all the reviews regarding this problem before choosing this stroller.

Not easy to use

Disappointedmom2

I bought this stroller because it was recommended to me when I had a 2 year old and was pregnant with my second. I had wanted the side by side double, as I loved my single city mini. After much back and forth, due to the pandemic and being unable to go to the store multiple times to try out, I bought the city select. I assumed I would be able to use my pram that I got for my first child only 2 years before. Apparently, it did not fit with this new version. I also needed an adapter for my infant seat. I used the stroller once and realized it was not for me. I did not my toddler so close to the ground and with the infant seat I could not see her. I reached out to baby jogger several times and received no resolution. I was told I could not return because I no longer had the box and it was not defected. In order to use this stroller now with an infant and toddler, I have to buy an additional toddler seat. I found this stroller to be way over priced and not simply not functional for the money.

Great Product

JoeR27

I love this product. Great features. I am using this for past 5 months.

Great single to double stroller

Momof4boys

I am the parent of 4 boys. I have tried a lot of different strollers over the last 13 years. When I first opened the City Select 2, it seemed huge compared to other strollers (which I somewhat expected since it can become a double). But then I set it next to my City Mini single stroller, their footprint is almost the same. I only got the chance to try it as a single. Pros: The adjustable handle is great for parents of different heights. The basket is large and has a zipper in the middle to make it easier to access. The seat comfortably fit my average sized 18 month old. I loved the magnetic peekaboo window in the shade. Cons: It is on the heavier side. I had to lift my child into the seat, he was not able to climb into it on his own. There are no cup holders. (But probably could be added). The 2nd seat is an add on. This would be a great choice for parents that are planning on having more than one child, but do not want to have to buy more than one stroller. Thanks to Steller Product Testing Panel for the chance to try this stroller.

Agreatallaroundstroller

Momwithcoffee1

I received this stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in the mail. As soon as I opened the package and quickly put together the stroller my first impression was, "wow! This stroller is way better then I thought it would be." The built and looks of the stroller gives a nice sleek impression, with an easy wipeable handlebar. As a busy suburban mom of 2 active boys I've owned multiple strollers over the years; some good, some not as great. This stroller is great all around. If I would be starting all over and just want to purchase 1 stroller this would be it. At an affordable price for multiple uses this stroller is the one. I took this stroller everywhere with my the past few weeks. I used it up and down steps, over gravel and grass, walking and in and out if the car. The push of the stroller is amazing. You can push it one handed if need be and the steering is amazing. The easy compact fold made it simple to take it in and out of the car, while providing me with a full sized stroller to use on my errands and day's adventures. My active 2 year old boy loved the stroller. It was easy to get him in and out and he enjoyed the forward facing seat. Though you can reverse it for a younger child if you'd like. We would be out all day and he was happy to sit in it. I was able to lie down the seat for his nap, though the canopy slightly got in the way of the button. I also appreciated the well placed pocket on the back of the seat for all my necessities for easy access. The stroller was wide enough for both my son's comfort (yes even my tall 4 year old hopped in for a try and enjoyed the seat) yet narrow enough to fit through older doorways. Something that's important to me living in an older town. Saving the best for last, my most favorite feature is the ample sized basket. It is well designed to ensure nothing falls out as you push the stroller, and can carry everything I need for a day out. The basket truly is the best! It was great testing this stroller and I look forward to continuing to use it.

Smooth and easy

Paul30

This stroller provides an amazingly smooth ride. It glides along the ground with ease and is incredibly easy to turn. The wheels never get stuck and it's never a struggle to get it to turn the way you want it to. It was very easy to put together. It did not require any tools and I was able to clip everything together within 5 minutes. The seat is fully adjustable and can quickly switch from facing away from you, to facing towards you. It feels very secure and my son is comfortable sitting it in and really seems to enjoy it. He never makes a peep when we take him out for a walk and often falls asleep. The storage basket underneath is large and holds plenty of things. I'm able comfortably fit his diaper bag, my wife's purse and more, with room to spare. The handle is adjustable for height. Which is great for me, as I'm taller and I can comfortably use this stroller without having to bend my back at all. It's easy to fold up and isn't too heavy. It is fairly slim when it folds up and fits in my trunk nicely and is easy to store when not using. This is definitely a great luxury stroller and I would recommend it. Received complementary product from Stellar Product Testing in exchange for my honest review.

This stroller is everything

Jrcurrie

We are in love with this City Select 2 Stroller!!!! I was amazed at all the wonderful features! I love the mutual gray shade that goes well for any boy or girl. My favorite feature is the All Terrain Tires!!!!!! The stroller has a canopy with peekaboo window. It stores away just as easy as it opens up. It can even turn into a double stroller!!!!! It grows as your family grows!!!! I highly recommend this stroller!!!!!!! I received this stroller as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Premium Stroller to grow with your family

Marisa

The City Select 2 stroller is a premium stroller to meet any growing family. It offers many different seating options for a variety of ages which is appealing to me. I love that I can buy just one stroller for years to come and not have a garage full of strollers! It exceed my expectations in regards to functionality while walking. I walked from concrete, to grass, to dirt, up and down hills in a forested area, and it smoothly traveled over each area without problem. The compact fold is awesome! You do have to use 2 hands to fold it down, but it didn’t bother me since it was easy to use. Opening the stroller was a little tricky at first as it didn’t easily pop open. I had to use my foot to hold the wheels in place while I pulled the handle up. The stroller does not free stand once folded down. But it does easily lean up against a wall. The stroller does not come with a snack tray for baby or a cup holder for mom. I do wish that was included with the stroller and not as an “add on” accessory. Not only is the City Select 2 sleek looking but I love the attention to details on this stroller! The peekaboo window has a magnet to hold the flap open to see baby. There is a small pocket on the back of the stroller to hold cell phones, keys, etc. The adjustable footrest is a great option! The large storage basket fits everything I need while either packing lunch for a long walk or going to the grocery store. I also love how high my baby sat up in the stroller. Keeping a 15 month old occupied can be difficult in general. But having her sit up so high, she was able to easily see everything on our walk. Also I had the option to have her face me. I love the multiple seating options! Overall this is a great option for any mom with one kid or multiples! It’s the only stroller you’ll ever need! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

A stroller for the whole family

Elizareviews

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller! My first impression of the stroller was that it looked very stylish and very functional. The fabrics are high quality and the seat is very comfortable for my little one. The multiple reclining positions is great for my 5mo old. He loves the stroller because he doesn’t have to be in his car seat in it. But they do have car seat adaptors! I love that with a few other accessories like the back board and an additional seat I can fit our future family. There are a lot of modular multi-configuration strollers on the market now but this one is truly easy to use and move around. The ride is smooth and it’s easy to direct the stroller in all directions. We just traveled with this stroller through airports and it held up very well and helped us carry a lot of items in the large storage area underneath the seat. For a stroller of its size it folds up a lot smaller than I expected. It does have to be in just the right set up to fold compactly though. And the folding mechanism takes a little getting used to. My husband has hit himself in the shins several times trying to fold the stroller. His other comment is that the assembly instructions are horrible. But a handy person can intuit their way through it. Overall I think my favorite thing is just how adaptive this stroller is. With a simple click I can switch my son to face me or face forward and alter his seat angle for maximum comfort and safety. Even a newborn could use just the basic seat with it leaned back to flat. I love this stroller and look forward to using it for a long long time.

City Select 2 Travel System

Katie

I was given the City Select 2 Travel System to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I love this stroller. First things first the car seat and base, LOVE easy to attach and the bar is awesome. The other thing that is nice is that the base is not big or heavy. The stroller and car seat are very light to lift and easy to set up. One thing I’m not a fan of is the attachments for the car seat to the stroller, when you need to get the care seat off the stroller you have to un attach the whole thing. Folding up the stroller is a breeze and it really does lay flat after folding and fits into the trunk easily . I love that you can attach another seat to the bottom of the stroller for our other son so both boys can ride at the same time and it’s not so hard to push or look big and bulky!

City Select 2 Travel System

Sarah

I really liked the travel system? The stroller is fantastic & easy to use, I also like that it will grow with my baby & my family size. The stroller folds flat & has a lot of storage room for a diaper bag or anything else that needs to be carried. Overall the stroller is easy to use, but the infant car seat to the stroller function is a little cumbersome at first, once you get the hang of it, it is fairly easy to use. The car seat was very easy to install, although I didn't like that it didn't have the easy clip in function for the car. We traveled with the system & used the taxi-safe belt path to secure the car seat & it worked great. The stroller was very easy to collapse & travel with. My favorite feature is the easy click in & out function of the stroller seat & my baby loves it, I like that you can flip it in for you to see the baby as you walk or out so the baby can see where you are going. I would definitely recommend this travel system for a new mom/family with a new baby. Thank you so much to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for allowing me to test the City Select 2 Travel System.

Great Car seat with Bumpy Ride

Jordana06

I love love love this travel system! The car seat is so light and he really enabled me to carry the baby my pocketbook and hold my toddler game without any problems. I loved that I could use the car seat without the base. It is my favorite part of the travel system. It only took two seconds to secure my baby in despite having my two other children with me in the rain. Talk about a a stressful situation. I have a small suv and I have two front facing seats in the back and an infant seat and they all fit no problem. My daughter christened her new car seat but throwing up on it. I can say the fabric is very forgiving, I have the gray color and I quickly wiped it down and there’s no stain. I did use the stroller a few times in grocery stores just to give it a whirl and I have absolutely no issues except for a small bumps it felt like every time there was a bump or divet in the ground my daughter could feel it and I could see her bounce a little bit. I would not take this stroller hiking or if I was doing any sort of extensive traveling. However it was great for day to day quick strolls around the block and running some errands The only thing I cannot attest to is how well it works with two or three children. I did not have the adapter to use both the car seat and infant seat so I cannot see how that would work. But I would say I am not sure how well the frame with all the weight of an additional two children because it feels so light. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this travel system.

Best in City

HappyDaddy

First, I would like to say thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this City Select 2 Travel System for testing. This all-in-one system travel system from baby jogger is an amazing package that any parent would be happy to have for their family. Let’s start with the stroller of this travel system as it is the nicest stroller I have ever used to date. The City Select 2 stroller was not a difficult to assemble. The instructions were not the simplest to follow especially when it shows a piece that is not included with this set which had me double checking if the belly bar should have been included in the box which it was not included. This stroller folds closer to flat than any other stroller I have used. Putting the Car seat on was a breeze with the attachment pieces. This stroller rolled with ease and handled curbs with no issues which I have never experienced with a stroller before. I used this stroller all day at the cider mill and had no issue all the uneven dirt muddy ground all day long. I do wish a cup holder was included with a stroller this high end to have a baby bottle on hand easier yet that is a small complaint on this wonder piece of baby moving glory. Being 6’2 the handles adjust perfectly to fit me which I have never experienced before also the grips I really enjoyed for handling this stroller. Onto the next part of this Travel system the Car Seat with base. Using the latch system in the base in my truck was so quick and easy especially when using the RAPIDLOCK to secure everything in place. The release on the seat’s straps moves so smoothly its crazy easy. My daughter fits in this seat and she looks comfortable just chilling on our trips in my truck. The handle does catch on the canopy when I am moving the handle to get my daughter in and out of the seat. Not needing to take the straps off to adjust them is one of the greatest things I have seen in a car seat in forever. The grip on the handle has a wonderful balanced feel when I am moving my daughter into my truck with a satisfying click when she is secured. There are many travel systems out there on the market, yet the City Select 2 Travel System is hands down the greatest system I have had the pleasure of using. This truly the only Stroller and Car Seat anyone needs for their kiddos.

Pre-purchase for Oct Baby Shower

City Select Double stroller

Jayash

Best stroller I’ve found and used! It was easy to assemble on my own. I love how the seat is, my child is able to sit fully upright and be a part of whatever we’re doing when we are out and about. I liked the ease of adding a second seat or infant carrier. I also like the fact that the handle extends as my husband is 6’3 and it is comfortable for him to push. It’s also very smooth.

A champion stroller

DFH21

We got this stroller in 2015 for our twin girls. It has been a workhorse for us ever since. The car seat adaptors were easy to use and when they graduated to the seats, the configurations were amazing to keep sun or wind off of them or to keep them from kicking each other. The option of putting the seats back to back was clutch for fights! When number three came along, the glider board was easy to use and fun for the girls. 6 years later and the stroller is in perfect condition. It’s seen salt, snow, slush, rain, mud, and cracked city sidewalks with no trouble. I love the easy hand brake and I love the size. The seats and buckles are easy to use and switch on the go. The kids all nap and rest comfortably in there. My girls are tall and still fit well in the seats. We use the parent console and that thing has really upgraded the stroller. I wish I would have gotten that earlier. We do not use the plastic cup holder seat trays. We have the weather covers and those are really great. I really cannot believe how well this thing has held up. And I’m sure the models have improved since 2015! We’ve had a few issues—1. The mesh sides of the bottom Rack are pretty shredded, but still useable. The bottom is solid, but I wish it easier to empty little bits of dust and leaves out the bottom. 2. If a child is forward facing on the top spot, they can reach the hand brake, but we’ve managed to distract them from it. 3. It is a hearty workout to push with three kids and gear, but we’ve piled bikes and scooters on it and it’s been fine. I just call it my cardio. 4. I’ve never been able to figure out how to use the zip on sun screens that came with the seats. I’ve not seen a video or instructions anywhere. I think we’ve lost them by now. Not missed!

Well Built...Almost Mobile Ready!

We love it, but we’d love it even more if there was a handle bar extension for taller parents with longer strides. We had to purchase a universal extender.

4 years and going strong

Kelliah

We bought this stroller when we had our second child. We also owned a Bob and continue to own an Uppa Baby. This stroller is the greatest baby "thing" that we have owned. We have probably walked 600 miles. Although we had to replace one wheel after year threes, it has otherwise held up amazingly. Note that my kids are about 90 lbs. collectively --- probably too big for the stroller, but we still take the stroller for long walks. It works great. I would recommend having a lighter Uppa Baby or umbrella stroller for the car, but this is the best stroller for long walks.

Sleek practical and easy to use stroller

Jamie

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller. Overall, I like the City Select 2 and like how it can grow with our family and be used for multiple children in different arrangements. The City Select 2 seems like a solid product. It has many of the great features like some of more expensive single-expandable strollers. The stroller was very easy to assemble and I can see how it would be easy to travel with as the wheels come off easily and it can then be placed in a travel bag with the compact fold. One drawback was the strap adjustment- this was challenging as you have to maneuver the straps inside the fabric, pulling each strap through hard plastic. Also, the seat itself and fabric were not quite as nice as some of the more expensive strollers, but my son still seems comfortable and enjoys riding in it. In terms of use, the stroller has a smooth ride even on bumpy sidewalks and the folding mechanism is very easy to use. The buckle is a little difficult though with a moving child as there are interconnecting pieces. The sun cover is nice and expansive and I like the 'peek-a-boo' window too. The sun shade easily adjusts for my son's height. I'd want to buy a snack tray though as snacking is an integral part of our walks at this stage. Lastly, the basket is large and fits a lot which is a nice perk!

Great stroller with a small footprint

Anonymous

With 2 kids and several strollers already, I was excited to try the City Select 2 stroller. The stroller comes with a canopy, footrest, and seat with harness (can be 5-point or adjusted to be used as just a lap belt). Before even unboxing it, I was already impressed with how compact and lightweight it is. The assembly process was straightforward. The main instructions were pictures only, which was adequate for most of the assembly. However, for the few steps where I had questions, I had to locate the written instructions elsewhere in the manual. This stroller glides so smoothly. It feels very stable on the 4 wheels. At first I thought the button on the handle was a brake, but it is used to adjust the handle height. I really love the rubber-like material on the handle. The foam material on the handles of our other strollers gets grungy and falls apart with our family’s hard use. This material looks and feels nice, and I think it will hold up quite nicely over time. The storage underneath is ample. It is comparable to that in our 3-wheel jogging stroller. There are multiple other things I like about the City Select 2: - Adjustable footrest - Magnetic closure on the sun flap - Wheels don’t have to be pumped - The grey color (I imagine it will hide evidence of fading better than our all-black strollers) So far we’ve used it around the neighborhood and on a short road trip. Currently it is configured as a single stroller with the baby in the highest seat location, facing outward. I love how high it positions him. He is 14 months old and fits comfortably. If we had this stroller when he was smaller, I would have used it with him facing me. More than anything, we’ve appreciated how small the stroller folds. It is less cumbersome than our other strollers to fold down and easier to pack in the trunk and store. There are a few minor dislikes with the City Select 2. As with some other strollers, it does not come with handlebar storage/cup holders or child cup holders/snack tray. The majority of my other strollers, however, at least have inner pockets on the seat that can be used for snacks, sippy cups, and toys. It would be great if there was a discount code for accessories or the ability to make a bundle package. I have looked at the available accessories and am considering purchasing the toddler bench seat for the back for our 4 year old. The only other thing we have noticed so far is that the footrest does not fold down well when the stroller itself is folded. All in all, I have no reservations recommending this stroller. In the time we have used it, we have enjoyed its ease of use and its compact size and weight. We have yet to try it out on rougher terrain or at any speed other than leisurely walking. Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller!

Lovely Stroller

NandA

I received this beautiful stroller to review from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The setup of this stroller was very easy and quick. I love the colors and fabrics used -the stroller is beautiful and sleek. My son seems very happy and comfy during our trial walks. My favorite feature is that the seat position can be changed so that your little one faces you - My son thought it was so fun too! (though this does leave your basket completely open in the front which is not so great..I just make sure there's nothing valuable in it) The basket has a ton of space, and I appreciate the zip on the basket to access easily. The only downside of the seat is the weight limit, 45 lbs and restriction on height. My son is 36 inches tall and 27 lbs and his head touches the canopy. He might not reach the weight limit before he outgrows it. I do love that you can add on with bassinet and another seat, so useful to have both kids in one stroller! The fold is pretty simple once you get used to it - didn't realize you have to remove the seat! I think it would be compact and light enough to travel with (for a full size stroller). It might be a little inconvenient though if pieces are separate. Overall a lovely stroller - I am thankful to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this for me to test and review.

Great for a growing family

Anonymous

Stellar Review The City Select 2 Travel System is a great product for our family! This travel system is a fantastic option with a toddler and a newborn. I can see our family using this stroller until both of the kids are too big to ride in it any longer (which will be quite awhile since the weight limit is much more than either of my children currently weigh). The stroller itself is very easy to assemble and very sturdy, it only took about 15 minutes to put together. The car seat adapters were very easy to install onto the stroller and make it especially easy to take our newborn out for appointments or walks. The toddler seat is quite long and is great for my toddler who is almost 3 feet tall, he can really relax and stretch out and he loves the sunshade. The stroller itself, stores very well in the back of my suv and although the stroller is bigger than our previous single stroller, it folds up and is surprisingly compact. It is very easy to unfold and also very easy to attach the car seat. The car seat clicks easily into the stroller with the car seat adapters and is very sturdy. I actually had a harder time getting the car seat off of the stroller because of how secure it is. The ease and maneuverability of this stroller really has helped me especially after having a c-section. Another great thing about this stroller is the large basket and the amount of storage it has. I can put my diaper bag and a small cooler into the basket and still have room for blankets, toys, etc. I also appreciate that the handle bar can be moved higher or lower, I’m 5 feet, so being able to adjust the bar makes my life much easier! Overall I think that this travel system is great for our family with our new addition and we will be able to use it for years!! We installed our car seat base right away using the latch method and it was very easy to install, the level was especially helpful in this process. Prior to the car seat base installation we did not try to use the taxi-safe belt path without the base. Our baby was in the NICU so the hospital had to check base installation as well as the car seat in general. The base and car seat passed their testing for our baby! The car seat is very sturdy and has great cushioned insert for a newborn. Once we put our baby in this car seat, he is ready to nap because of how comfortable he is. I would like it if the straps when using the insert were able to be adjusted so they are right at shoulder level, but unfortunately it looks like there is only one slot for the straps and it is under shoulder level, so adjusting the straps once the baby is in the seat can be a tad difficult. Otherwise, I feel very confident in my child’s safety and comfort while riding in this car seat! This travel system is great, but I think that my favorite thing about this product is the ability to move multiple seats into multiple different combinations! This is great for when I’m taking my infant to the doctor, while my toddler is at preschool. I can easily install the car seat adapters and take off the toddler seat and vice versa. It is so quick and easy to change seating combinations! When I received this product I did assume that it would come with attachments for the second seat in addition to the car seat adapters, but unfortunately that is not the case. The second seat adapters need ordered separately to have both seats installed at the same time, otherwise you just have to swap out seats and use as a single stroller, which I’ve been enjoying! My family and I have really enjoyed the City Select 2 Travel System, and want to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing my family with this great, quality product!

I received this travel system from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The City Select 2 Travel System is a stroller that allows for two (or even three) children at a time. The stroller comes with one toddler seat and the travel system includes a car seat and adapters that fit easily into the stroller to allow for the stroller to hold two children at once. The instruction manual comes with pictures of the over 24 ways you can configure the stroller to accommodate a growing family. It can be made into a triple stroller with a glider board that can attach at the back; a toddler/school-age child who can stand could easily ride the glider board. A lot of the configurations need adapters that need to be purchased separately. Assembly is extremely easy. Most of the stroller is pre-assembled. The only things that need to be put together are the wheels and the seat. The car seat adapters click in very easily. The car seat is ready to use and only needs to be adjusted for height. Compared to other car seats, the adjustment is actually really easy, as you can adjust the head height via an adjustable slide on the back of the car seat. It took 30 seconds to get it to the right height! The car seat comes with a nice, UV 50+ canopy that blocks out the sun pretty well and provides a nice shade. Putting the car seat into the adapter takes a little getting used to, but after a few times, it becomes fairly easy. The taxi-safe belt path to use without the base is pretty standard for car seats and works nicely. The toddler seat has an adjustable height strap that you manually change by reaching into the back of the seat. The seat also comes with a large canopy for shade. I pushed an infant and a toddler (2.5-years-old) in the travel system. On smooth ground, the City Select 2 Travel System drives really smoothly, has an excellent turn radius, and is easy to push. The push bar is curved all around, which does not make for the most ergonomic grip. The straps for the toddler secure easily and come apart into two parts for an easy exit. Our neighborhood has some cracks and holes in the sidewalk from tree roots and recent construction. When it came to driving over cracks and holes, it became a lot harder to navigate with the City Select 2 Travel System. For elevations over two inches or so, I had to tilt the whole stroller back to get it over. The front wheels do not lock in place, so the stroller tends to tilt on slanted ground and requires two hands to steady basically at all times. It can accommodate two, so it is fairly large; if you’re a bit shorter, the stroller may obstruct some of the view in front. The undercarriage is very spacious and large. It easily held a medium-sized backpack in addition to other various items. There is a zipper to expand it even more if you need additional space. The back crossbar has a footbrake that is easy to click on and off. The brake worked well, even on hilly terrain. To fold the system, there are two handles labelled “FOLD” that you pull up on. The stroller easily folds in half and automatically locks with a latch on the side. To open it up, release the latch and pull on the stroller handlebar. Folding the stroller down was easy; opening it up sometimes was a little awkward and needed two or three steps to fully open it up. The toddler seat can stay in when folded; the car seat has to come out. Overall, the City Select 2 Travel System is a great indoor (supermarkets, airports, stores, etc.) or well-paved outdoor (smooth sidewalks/street or a park) stroller that easily accommodates multiple children. The best feature was how easy it was to include two children in one stroller—setting up the two seats was extremely easy and having just one stroller to take two kids was pretty liberating, especially since it had such great storage beneath. The shortcomings of this travel system would be that it definitely would not be able to handle hikes or rough terrain—it struggled even with less-than-perfect city sidewalks. Some parts of the design (handlebar, opening) are not as ergonomic, but not major flaws. The adaptability and options are amazing, but do require additional purchases. I would highly recommend the City Select 2 Travel System for growing families with at least two kids in the city for running errands and easy outdoor activities.

Not a Select experience for us

KileyE

When I found out I was going to receive the Baby Jogger City Select 2 stroller from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was practically doing backflips. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had eyeballed the City Select, but was wary of the price tag and wound up purchasing a different one. Fast forward two years, and I had some high hopes for "the one that got away" -- but unfortunately those expectations didn't live up to the reality. Out of the box, it wasn't the easiest to set up, although my husband was able to knock it out in about 30 minutes. Once put together, the stroller looked gorgeous -- the fabric felt luxurious, the canopy was great, the basket was HUGE (and the seat back pocket is genius), and the telescoping handlebar made it comfortable for both 5'3" me and 6'1" him. The ride was incredibly smooth, too, and although I'm definitely not a jogger, I could see where it would make a solid choice for a jogging stroller, sturdy enough to withstand bumps without jostling your kid to the next county. However, that sturdiness makes it VERY heavy, and it's not a small stroller by any means -- even folded, it's pretty big. Still, I liked that it could convert to a double, even if all the attachments, adapters, and accessories cost extra. But...then I put my daughter in it, and although she's only 2, she was FAR too tall for it. She couldn't rest back against the seat, because the canopy was level with the back of her head. She's a tall toddler, but for the price tag on this one, it should last FAR longer (especially since the directions state it's for use up to 40 inches in height, and she's still got another 4-5 inches to go there). We still took it for a spin, and while she didn't seem to mind riding in it for a short period of time, the seat was almost comically small for her (even though the stroller frame is huge). Ultimately, if you're a jogger with a big budget and a tiny baby, this might be a good bet. It really does seem like a nice stroller if you're needing something for a LITTLE little one and you don't mind hefting a giant frame around, and you don't mind shelling out for all the bells and whistles because this is JUST the stroller. But as a value-oriented mom with an on-the-go toddler and limited trunk space to haul a big stroller...the City Select 2 wasn't the right selection for us.

I wanted to love the City Select 2 Eco Collection. There are so many perks – who doesn’t love the compact fold, light build, room to grow for our family, sleek all-black design, and more? But it came down to the glide of the ride for us – by keeping it light you do give up a few of the nice to have shock absorbing and comfort features. As a mother of 2 little ones (16 months and 2 years old), my hands are always full. So being able to easily open and store the stroller with its compact fold was a huge plus. From start to finish, putting it together out of the box took about 10 minutes and my youngest was in the seat ready for a ride. While he really enjoyed the ride and didn’t want to get out, the ease of maneuvering it for me on bumpy terrain (we have a trail nearby that is a mixture of old cement and dirt) was rough and the steering feels a bit rigid. However, the fabric has held up well to the numerous hot hot hot California days we have been having. The top flap allows for ventilated nap sessions with the shade pulled all the way down and the seat reclined. Probably my favorite feature and a definite plus for outdoor lovers. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller. Overall, the City Select 2 Eco Collection has been a great on-the-go stroller for us. While I wouldn’t take it on a long haul, it definitely has a place in our everyday activities and gives us all the mobility and storage we could ask for. High quality stroller but lacking some features

jmontagne96

I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is definitely a high quality stroller! Our little guy (13 months) is loving it so far. It is extremely well-made and well-crafted. I found it to be very easy to fold/unfold and the compact fold is great for traveling! It also has a very large storage area underneath, and the large wheels make for a pretty smooth ride. I wish there were more bonus features included - like a cup holder, tray for snacks, and easy way to convert it to also hold our 3 year old. It seems relatively bare bones for such a pricey product.

Love this stroller but disappointed

Mrsjanssen

We bought this stroller when we only had one child. We found out a year later we were having another. We went to buy the second seat in onyx only to find out it was discontinued. They don’t even have another black seat with silver trim to match the stroller we have! So now we’ve spent over $500 on a mismatched stroller. Makes me want to just get something else. It works great and we love it but that’s very disappointing.

Faulty Product

Robert

When we bought the stroller, we recognized the handle was faulty. It "wobbled" because the one side didn't click into place, after sending video evidence we were given a replacement handle. The "FOLD" latches were also tough to deal with, it was a few months before we saw a video and confirmed that they were also faulty. After sending a video showing the issue, we were informed we needed to mail them the item so they can confirm that it's a manufacture defect. The cost/time without the item should not fall on the customer. If the product was manufactured properly, I'm sure I'd be content... Unfortunately this thing is a lemon.

The best double stroller out there!!

Sunshine17

We had the baby jogger city select double stroller in red color for about 2 1/2 years and it's been worth every penny!! I can't say enough good things about it! I first used it as a double stroller with my two boys whom are a little over a year apart and now I have a 10 month old so we use it as a single stroller for him. I absolutely love the stroller! It's extremely easy to manevour, light weight compared to other strollers, folds very easily, and the adjustable seating options are a bonus. My absolutely favorite feature of the stroller is the ENOURMOUS storage basket underneath! We had a lot of compliments given to us about the stroller.

Do not purchase!

Jonatha

Buyer Beware Do not purchase! The City Select stroller locking mechanism malfunctioned and collapsed with my 4 month infant in it. Customer service is terrible. Expect to wait weeks to remedy your problem. Please take my advice and spend the extra money for the Vista!

BASSINET DETACHED 1mo BABY FELL on ground

Tatyana

DO NOT BUY ANY BASINETTS FROM BABY JOGGER. DANGEROUS MALFUNCTION. HORRIBLE DESIGN. bassinet detached with my baby. NOTHING TO ADD. PEOPLE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH. SO MANY CLAIMS ALREADY ON THIS COMPANY.

Unfolding and folding

Karen

We bought this over a year ago when we found out we had twins. We saw all the great reviews and we wanted it front and back as side to side can be very inconvenient. Everything was great until recently it wouldn't unfold properly. It would get stuck at partial open or wouldn't lock in the open position. Then sometimes we had difficulties pulling the fold to close up the stroller. One side would pull up and the other side wouldn't budge until after several tries

Second Seat is a Scam

KayC

If you buy this stroller with the intention of converting it to a double, you should know that the second seat adapter ($35) is ALWAYS out of stock. So you are required to buy the $230 "second seat kit". If you planned on configuring your stroller with a car seat and the original seat with second seat adapter, it will not be possible. Such a scam.

Multiple parts broken in less than 1.5 years of us

Luna

I have had this stroller less than a year and a half and I have already need to replace the brake system and the wheels. I didn’t expect to pay this much for a double stroller to have it keep breaking. Very disappointing.

Some accessories are impossible to find

jmadel

This stroller was a gift off my registry for my first baby. I wanted something that grew with my family, but I didn't want the Uppababy. 8 months later, I am regretting my choice. While I love the stroller, the lack of accessories is ridiculous. Everything is out of stock, and when you call customer service they tell you that it won't be coming back into stock. When I called recently about the snack tray, I was emailed a link to Amazon sellers who were certified by Baby Jogger. As I looked at these options, I realized they wanted almost double the price. When I said that to the customer service representative, she simply told me "well if you want it, that is how you'll have to get it". Zero concern that it was more expensive. Don't bother spending your money on a company that can't keep their accessories in stock. If you don't believe me, check all of the Facebook groups of people begging to find accessories.

Packaging

Anne65

I bought this last Wednesday from Buy Buy Baby registry (a gift for my son's baby). The box was taped (with clear tape) all around. Is this how you ship it to these stores or is it a return box with tapes on it? I had a coupon from Buy Buy Baby but I couldn't use it for this purchase. It's a very expensive item and why you don't give us a discout?

Smooth ride

Sunny B

It’s great. I have a big three year old (40 pounds) and a 7month old. My oldest is almost at its limits but I’m just love baby jogger so much that I just purchase it anyways. And once he reaches the limit I’ll pop off the second seat 😉. On mini curbs as a single rider it goes up with no problem but with two riders I have to help lift up the stroller. It maneuvers to my liking. I can steer with one hand with both kid in. I love the color. Easy to pop the seats in and out. The only thing I don’t like but not a big deal is the handle is high. I’m 5’4 and it’s slightly high for me but my husband is 6’3 so it’s perfect for him. Also, when the parent console is hook on it’s not stable because it drupes down so low. This may be a problem if baby is facing you and you have to adjust the foot rest but not a big deal u less you have a drink in the console with no lid. Love the big storage and I found the zipper pretty useful. Love the adjustable sun cover. Overall happy with purchased.

Love love love!

LaurenS

I love this stroller! It’s so smooth to push and looks so comfortable for my baby. I love how large the storage basket is.

Take a stroll with me

Josh

I received the City Select 2 by Baby Jogger through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I must say, WOW!! This stroller delivers on luxurious features such as ample (and I mean AMPLE) storage space, extra-large visor/sunshade, all-terrain high-performance tires and directional system, and light-weight feel--all wrapped up in a sleek and modern travel package! As a busy parent, it's ideal to find baby products that help make travel quicker and easier, and this stroller does just that. Most strollers I've had in the past have been hard to steer, bulky, heavy, and would almost always have some aspect that made use uncomfortable by either child or parent, or even both. Having two small children, it can be difficult and stressful to attempt to lug around a stroller large enough for both kiddos. Knowing that the City Select 2 is able to grow when needed is such an awesome added feature. Now, we can plan out what we are doing and whether we will need space for one or both children for the day. Another GREAT quality that needs to be gushed over is this much-desired added storage!! The basket on this thing is no joke....it's huge! And not only that, it has a zipper to make it even bigger! Usually, on other products, the storage is lacking, to say the least. Carrying a diaper bag, wife's purse, water, snacks, extra clothes, grocery bags, shopping bags, smoothies, coffees, toys, dog, kids, keys....(you get the idea) all with limited space can be overwhelming and quite frightening, so any and all storage is very welcome! A+ on the thoughtfulness behind this feature. As for the child's perspective, this stroller is comfortable and safe. My daughter loved being pushed around in this thing and actually spent an entire afternoon reading her books sitting in the stroller. She gives A+ for comfort and style and looks forward to our walks much more now. One major drawback for this stroller is how much space it takes up for storing. It does not fold up very well and is bulky and honestly kind of obnoxious. We had to clear out our hallway closet to have a spot big enough for this thing, so no good marks for that aspect. If it could fold up smaller and more compact then it would be SO much more convenient. All things considered, the City Select 2 by Baby Jogger is well worth any sort of drawback. With amazing storage capacity, rugged all-terrain abilities, comfort and safety features galore, the innovative details definitely outweigh its lack of compaction for storage and travel. Totaled up, this travel system rates as 4/5 stars.

Can carry it all and get over most typical areas

Emihop

TLDR; This stroller is a little bulky when folded but will fit in most suv trunks with room to Spare, handles Smoothly with one hand, baby is happy and comfy and parents have plenty of storage on the bottom. What’s great about the Baby Jogger City Select 2: super easy to assemble, easy to clean, giant basket that can easily hold a diaper bag and extras, steers like a dream with one hand, easily accessible foot break, easy to fold. Has an extendable handle for tall parents. Baby can be front facing or face parents and recline in a few different positions. I like how the canopy can cover as much or as little of your child as you’d like, and has a little window to check on them. I also like how easy it is to take the basket off to clean if necessary. What’s not so great: the harness buckle. I really don’t like connecting three different pieces on each side to strap in a squirming baby/toddler. I get that it’s so bigger kids can just use the waist buckle but, it’s a challenge. Stroller can only be folded with two hands, and can only be folded with the seat attached if the seat is facing away from the parent. Not very compact, especially if you fold with the seat on; without it’s much easier to handle. With the seat on its Kind of bulky to carry. No extras (belly bar, cup holder, parent organizer, etc) takes up about half of the trunk of my midsize suv but can still also fit a grocery or target run next to it. I’ve taken this on several walks and it handles like a dream, super easy to push on pavement, easy to steer one handed, easy to handle on grass. Can push it over tree roots, and on gravel no problem. It works well from the neighborhood, to the zoo, to the farmers market or park. My daughter likes how much higher up she sits in this stroller, and I like that I can have her facing me or recline her to take a nap. I’m interested in getting a second seat or a kick board for my toddler. It’s a tandem double so it’s not as wide and bulky as a side by side, and can be used as a single witch is a big plus. This stroller is very versatile for a growing family. I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great light weight stroller to grow with

alexamb

Upon unpacking the stroller I noticed that the materials were high-quality and well-made. I do love that this has the option to add up to three passengers as I do have three children and my oldest could use the scooter board should we choose to invest in it—my oldest is always asking to sit in the stroller with littles but passes weight maximums. Compared to other multi children’s strollers it is definitely lightweight which I do love. I do have another multi family stroller that I found to be too bulky and heavy and even when pushing it was difficult with the weight of all the children. This one definitely shines in that area that it is lightweight and moves easily. The stroller is fairly easy to use. The assembly was easy up until the crossbar installation. I don’t know if it is due to the directions using only pictures or if it was just a more difficult install than it had to be, but that portion was not at all intuitive. Another note about the crossbar is that it has a double lock which I don’t find to be very convenient and the buttons to adjust it are on the inside instead of on the outside where I feel it makes more sense. The compact fold was well-intentioned and is for the most part functional however the front wheels do not have a secure place to store and move around so if they are not in a straight position they will stick out and make the folding aspect a little harder– this is nothing that can’t be adjusted easily. I do find that where they put the folding mechanism to close the stroller was not well thought out, the user has to lean over the handle used to push the actual stroller to grab both sides to fold it, and you must pull it hard. I am more of a fan of the fold being in the handle or in the seat. I will say, that my children did love riding in the stroller which is unusual for my kids. They aren’t usually happy in a stroller. The stroller does have very comfortable material it allows to be adjusted for the child to be sitting more erect so they can see everything and it can be put in multiple positions— facing away from you and facing toward you, leaning back very far and leaning forward very far. It is very light weight and the wheels are large enough to be going over grassy terrain and even mulch. A few of my favorite features of the stroller was the extra large storage basket underneath and a small stretchy extra storage pocket on the backseat of the stroller. I also liked how far the canopy on top extended. My children definitely had full coverage from the sun when riding in the stroller. It also has a telescopic handle which is nice for the height change between myself and my husband. I do like the clips and how they separate into a few pieces it makes removing the child from the straps much easier as their arms do not get stuck under when you were trying to get them out. Overall I will definitely continue to use the stroller. While there are some aspects I wish would be different—which were mentioned above— I think it is a quality stroller that is comfortable, convenient and lightweight especially for having a multiple children option. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this stroller to test and review!

Adjustable maneuverable and compact

Rani46

As a mom of four kids, I’ve used my share of strollers over the years. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was able to try out the City Select 2 Eco they sent me. This stroller seriously has it all. I love that I can add a second seat AND a glider board for my other kids. It pushes so easily (with one hand, woo!), folds like a breeze with just a quick pull on each side, and it’s compact enough to fit in the back of my minivan with the third row up. The fabric is easy to wipe clean and the leatherette handle and belly bar are comfortable to the touch. My favorite feature is how easy it is to adjust the seat. I can have it facing me and reclined for my 5 month old, and then super quickly flip it around and adjust the back up for my 3 year old. I also love the white peekaboo window on the giant canopy. No noisy Velcro to potentially wake my kiddos. My only complaint is I didn’t get a City Select sooner!

A system to use from newborns past toddlerhood

CitySelect2

Any parent who spends any time driving around with their baby could really use a travel system for their stroller, and Baby Jogger’s City Select 2 Travel System hits high marks. It’s so convenient to be able to pop the car seat right into the stroller, especially when you have a sleeping baby you don’t want to disturb, as well as have the option to pair that with a seat for another child, or even a rider board, allowing this stroller to work as a single, double, or triple. City Select 2 Stroller: This stroller is a solid 4/5. It’s easy to assemble out of the box, and the fold is a pretty simple single step, though it requires 2 hands. The handle adjusts to three levels to suit any height operator comfortably. The seat seemed comfortable for both kids, and a Baby Jogger representative confirmed that the seat is safe from birth with an infant insert in the reclined position. The push is pretty good with a single rider and I could use it one-handed on both pavement and grass. It was a bit bumpy with my infant in the seat, but having my 35lb toddler in the seat, I could tell the front suspension was doing its job. I love that it’s easy to move the seat either parent or world facing, and it’s very easy to attach the seat. With lower adaptors (sold separately), it was easy to either install the seat or carseat adaptors to make the stroller into a double. Other huge pluses of this stroller are the humungous basket (could easily fit a giant diaper bag and much more, or a load of groceries) and the fact that it’s easy to fit into the trunk of my compact SUV. I was disappointed that the stroller doesn’t have a standing fold, which makes it harder to store. I also had some difficulties with the car seat adaptors—while it was simple to get the carseat clipped in, I had to really fight to remove it. Lastly, while I really appreciate the 45lb weight limit, it definitely took a ton of muscle to push the stroller with my large toddler in the front of the stroller and my infant in the carseat at the back when used on non-level and uneven pavement. This might not be an issue with more evenly weighted kids, or with the larger kid in the back, and it was really nice to have the option to have the baby close to me so I could watch her while pushing both kids. City GO 2 Carseat: I would rate the carseat a 3.5/5. It is beautiful and the fabric and canopy seem very solid. My infant seemed very comfortable and the headrest fit well. The no-rethread harness is one of my favorite parts, so easy to readjust as baby grows. The base is on the lighter side and took a little muscle, but was an easy install using the latch system—with the anti-rebound bar, the install felt very secure! However, while I appreciate the ability to install the seat using the seatbelt, the manual states that many seatbelts are not long enough to use the route around the back, including my car, which was very disappointing. Even without using the back routing, it was difficult to get a firm install without the base. The car seat is also on the more solid side and was a bit heavy to carry around with baby inside. All in all, this is an amazing system that could easily serve your family from birth through childhood. It is a well thought out full-sized stroller with so many customizable options to make it work for virtually any family, from one to three-plus children. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this travel system.

Quality and convertible

Christy

I was given the City Select 2 Travel System to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am very impressed with the City Select 2 Travel System. The stroller and car seat seem to be high quality and feel like they are going to last beyond use with my little ones. I like knowing that my toddler and baby are going to be safe in any gear we use and I feel very comfortable with this in both the car seat and stroller. The car seat is quickly adjusted for baby’s height by sliding the head support adjuster on the back. I like that the head support is an actual part of the car seat instead of being a removable cushion. The car seat feels nicely cushioned and my baby seems comfortable when riding in it. I found installing the car seat base to be simple when following the step by step instruction manual. The stroller is smooth to push and turn. The handle bar on the stroller and car seat have comfortable grip. I especially like how the stroller seat reclines with just pushing a button and can go all the way back. The stroller seat and car seat are easily switched since they both click into the stroller base. I like that the stroller has the ability to be a double stroller with either the car seat or a second seat. This makes the stroller very practical for our growing family. One of my favorite things about the stroller is how slim it is when folded up. Opening the stroller up is just as easy as folding it up. The stroller and car seat are extremely easy to use. Every part of them is easily adjusted.

We absolutely LOVE our City Select 2

DottieW

We absolutely LOVE our City Select 2 Travel System! We received ours through Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is so nice! The stroller glides and handles really well. I especially love how easy it is to attach and detach the car seat to the stroller system. The car seat us easy to install into your vehicle. We've used it in a minivan as well as a sedan. I love that the stroller works with both my infant and my toddler. It makes for a much easier and more enjoyable experience. The fact that it is so versatile and we will not need another as she gets older makes it way more practical to purchase one. We are overall thrilled with ours and I 1000% recommend it to anyone looking for a quality travel system stroller and car seat. A real necessity!

Pleasantly Surprised

kgrill

I didn’t expect to like this system as much as I did. I own another popular travel system and don’t love it so I didn’t think this one could impress me at all. First off, I liked the car seat more than I expected. It’s not too heavy and my baby seemed very comfortable inside. My only complaint is I wish the sun visor was bigger or extended more. It came with the adaptors for the stroller but I do think it’s silly you need adaptors when the pieces are the same brand. There were also NO instructions for removing the car seat from the adaptors and it took my husband and I a long time to figure out how to get it off since the pieces were also sticky to remove. The stroller rides pretty great, what you’d expect at this price point. I will say it’s probably better for taller people - I’m 5’2” and while the handle on the lowest setting was fine it’s definitely a lot higher than other strollers. It’s super easy to open and close and I like how there’s a bar to grab to lift the stroller when it’s folded. The frame itself isn’t very heavy at all, have not tried to fold or lift the stroller with the toddler seat attachment though. All in all we really liked this stroller and are considering making the stroller and the car seat our new regulars and retiring our older set. I received this product to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. All opinions are my own.

Outstanding Travel System

Anonymous

We’ve had a difficult time finding a travel system that fits our family in size, style, and efficiency. We were really hopeful when the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent us this travel system to review a d it did not disappoint. We have been more than pleased with how perfect this system has been for our family. Below are some pros and cons about the car seat and the stroller! The Car Seat Pros: - Quick install base! It was a nice tight install too! We love the base design. We also tried it using only the seat belt with both the base and without and we’re highly impressed with how that didn’t compromise the tightness of the install. - Adjustable headrest is amazing! We were bothered by how our baby’s head hung down when she fell asleep! This makes her travel so comfy. - High quality, comfortable fabric! Cons: - It will be hard to clean because of how the headrest is attached - It is a bit heavier than my last car seat The Stroller Pros: - Pushes like a dream! Honestly, I’ve never had a stroller so easy, light, and smooth to push. - So many configuration options! Especially after we get a second seat or the glider. -The canopy is huge and high quality! We got caught in a rainstorm on a walk and only the babies toes got wet! I love the magnet on the peekaboo window so I can look at her while we walk. -Storage basket is so big and it expands! -Car seat clicks in nicely! Cons: -Car seat needs an adapter to attach - You can’t use the car seat and the stroller seat that comes with it at the same time because you need inserts for the bottom space to attach a second seat. I wish it came with those. - No cup holder

Absolutely the best

This is simple a wonderful travel system. I received mine though the Steller product testing panel. I love how the car seat can go up to 30lbs. It was super easy to install and easy to use. I like that I don’t have to switch out the base between my husband and I be vehicles. My only negative thing about it, is that with the stroller attachments, which are easy to use. It’s just hard to get the car seat out of them. I love how it came with a seat so my toddler can enjoy walks with us as well. It glides easy and the under basket is huge.

A great purchase indeed

Pablo C

It's awesome, we're very happy with the purchase. Looking forward to using it more.

Great stroller, basket needs work

Andy_c

Good stroller, easy to use and comfortable to push. Straps and seat easy to adjust. Only have one baby so can't comment on the double stroller feature. Docking a star for the flimsy basket attachments. These repeatedly fell off their hooks with small loads and one of them frayed and snapped within 3 months of use. Not sure what they were thinking making these attach at this angle.

Beware of new model changes- Baby Jogger

Disappointment Num1789

As a mindful consumer, given the price point of these, I am disappointed that baby jogger changed up the models and attachments and not longer carrying City Select seats.

City Select ORIGINAL LACKING

MAMAX6

This is my third BABY JOGGER STROLLER. FORST PURCHASED IN 2010, so I am a loyal Baby Jogger Customer. I have the original city select, but CANNOT PURCHASE THE SECOND SEAT ANYWHERE!!! Not only that, but my basket underneath has come undone, where the stroller frame connects to the basket. Somehow the plastic piece, which seems to be very flimsy, broken in half off the basket. It’s very upsetting because I can’t even get a “replacement part” when I search my model on this here website.

Stroller is excellent!

Stroller is great! Works just like it should and the quality is fantastic! That being said, it is a little ridiculous that it does not come with the adapters to turn it into a double stroller. You have to purchase them separately ($29.99). For $600 dollars you would think they would be included, typically money grab. At first I thought I was missing pieces...nope, not included. Rant over. Stroller is great and adapters are ordered.

WASTE OF MONEY

Unamused buyer

Extremely frustrated that a reputable brand that came highly recommended to me is now worthless a year after buying. It is advertised that it “grows with your family”; however, they discontinued this model and no longer offer second seat kits that this stroller was known for and promoted for as a double stroller in the first place. I’m not about to pay hundreds of dollars for someone’s worn out second seat on a resale site, so now I’m just left angry that we would be expected to fork out more for a new stroller after spending $500 in the first place. NOT AMUSED.

1st time. Baby jogger purchase

Whip06

I fell in love with the Baby Jogger brand when we rented one at Disney World. While I really like the configurations available, I was not as happy about the weight of the stroller. I also feel that a stroller that costs this much shouldn’t nickel & dime you for accessories (the car seat adapter and the 2nd seat adapter should just come included)

Buy in now

Mom1

FYI. I bought the City Select less than 2 years ago so that we could expand the stroller when baby number 2 comes. Well, we're rapidly approaching the arrival and our version has been discontinued. Extra parts too. We spent the extra money on it because it had options. Just putting this out there that if you're looking for a stroller that will expand with your family, you better buy the double now. Expansion parts won't be available a year from now. You'd think the company would have the decency to support their products for at least several years. Guess not.

Loved it until needed 2nd seat

Mattie15

Loved this stroller. But now I’m ready for a second seat and Baby Jogger discontinued my model and no adapters or seats are available. So the investment I spend is now useless as the expensive LUX I bought can’t grow with my family. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend.

City select 2

JFick

Overall I have mixed feelings on this stroller. The Pros: It’s very easy to assemble and break down. The wheels pop on and off very easy making it easy for travel. It’s also very easy to push and maneuver. It has a very large storage area below which is great if you’re out shopping or carrying lots for the kids. The Cons: This is being sold as a stroller that works for families with multiple children, but I was disappointed that it only came with the single seat. This is probably ideal for families with only one child, but for me it was a disappointment. The biggest downside of this stroller was that the standard seat was far too small for my 3 year old. Her head came above the top of the seat making the canopy unusable. I also didn’t love how you needed two hands to fold it down. I’ve seen other styles that allow you to fold up the stroller with just one hand which is very handy when dealing with little ones. Because of these issues I likely would not choose this stroller over other options out there. I was given this stroller to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Love all the new features!

HaleyS

Some of my favorite features on the city select 2 are the footbrake and the fact that you can collapse the stroller with the seat still attached! Oh and I LOVE that once you collapse the stroller it auto locks! The ride is smooth and the quality is luxurious. This is a great stroller to grow with your family- so many configurations!

Not an upgrade

Hkoby

Not an upgrade. The belly bar hits your child in the face when you unlatch it. It’s also incredibly difficult to latch and unlatch. It took me an absurd amount of time to put this stroller together and we’ve owned 10+ strollers so I would consider myself seasoned in the process. The fold mechanism was jammed and was so hard to get the stroller to fold. Felt bulky and unreasonably heavy.

Sturdy but heavy

Tessa

I was given this travel system to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was extremely impressed with how sturdy the stroller felt. The system easily opened from a folded position. It did require two hands to remove from the back of my SUV. But I was always able to get it out quickly. The infant seat clicked in easily and quickly to the stroller base. It felt very secure in the system base. I loved the UV protection awning on the seat too! was disappointed that I couldn’t switch from using the seat to the infant seat without removing the clips on the side. This stroller has 4 wheels and I felt that a stroller I was previously using with 3 wheels had a better turning radius that this travel system. When using the infant seat in the car, the base installed easily and the seat clicked easily in. I did not utilize the belt path without the base. The infant seat was heavy to get out. I struggled to pull it out from my SUV. Maybe someone with a car would have an easier time but it required a lot of muscle. I love the options that this travel system offers for a growing family. My older son is out of a stroller, but this would be great if we add to our family! This is a great feature for those that need it. My favorite feature of this travel system was the HUGE basket for storage underneath. A downfall to this basket was that when using the seat (not infant seat) it was difficult to step down from the seat to the ground without stepping in the basket.

Great stroller that will grow as your family does

Mrsmommi

The Baby Jogger City Select 2 Stroller is in a league of its own. This stroller is just downright amazing! The stroller rolls smoothly, and it is easy to fold and store away. It can be adjusted to where your child can be facing to or away from you, it can also have an additional seat and balance board (purchased separately) attached so it can grow with your family. My two most favorite aspects of this stroller are the adjustable handle (great for people with long legs) and the huge storage basket. It could easily hold 2 of my backpack style diaper bags and probably still have room. I like that the awning has a magnetic peekaboo window rather than velcro. You're like likely to wake a sleeping baby when you check on them. All in all this stroller is absolutely amazing. My 13 month old loves riding in it and I give it a 10/10. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this stroller.

Perfect pick

Mwilson

Love it so far! It’s sturdy but feels light when pushing at the same time. Handles bumps well which was my main concern since our towns sidewalks are not the best kept. Only complaint is that you need to buy all of the add ons such as cup holder, child’s lap bar/cup holder, etc. and they don’t seem to be in stock often anywhere.

Broken gear teeth, not replaceable, does not fold

Kurt

The internal gears of the folding mechanism (both right and left side) have broken teeth after normal use. The stroller no longer folds completely or synchronously; each side folds a different amount and then will not unfold properly. Replacement gears are not available, even though removal and replacement is straightforward. Instead, Baby Jogger will sell a complete frame for ~$180 as a replacement. This is wasteful and too expensive. We are now stuck with a non-folding stroller and can no longer bring the stroller upstairs or pack it into the car.

Several flaws

TSA2

I never spent this much money on a stroller but because I always liked the idea of a stroller being functional and used in different ways, after spending a good amount of research I went for this one. Since I got it in the winter, we did not go for a walk that much so did not use as much. When we used it, it was both with my infant and toddler. Today, was the first time I used the seat for my baby alone ( before we always had his bassinet) and went for a walk and noticed that it is so bumpy. I could see my baby's hear shaking everytime :/ plus it makes noise as if it is gonna break down :/ I dont have any experience with double strollers but it's kinda hard to maneuver :/ the design is great though. The seats are great overall with several different reclining options. However several flaws again. The canopy is not big enough to cover my infant baby. It's kind hard to change/switch the reclining modes :/ the push thingy gets stuck sometimes :/

Just Okay

Jessica27

We had our stroller for around 2 years, but for some reason the folding mechanism stopped working. Turns out a piece of a screw came off and when I tried to open it it completely ate all the plastic inside which made it impossible to fold. Very disappointing as we weren't hard on it and only took it on sidewalks and parks. It was a good stroller but the cost of adding all the accessories was a little ridiculous as well. I also found it extremely heavy and hard to maneuver when there was two seats attached.

Do not buy this stroller

Kait

It is impossible to use with a car seat until JULY- nearly all adapters are sold out and will not be manufactured for months. We were gifted both a car seat and stroller from our registry and went to buy the adapter that would allow us to use them together, but it currently is out of stock everywhere. I wish someone had mentioned that was a possibility at the time of registry, seeing as I am now 9 months pregnant and have to lug these two heavy items around to return them, and start from scratch. I am sure the stroller is great- just wish it was usable.

  • Double stroller opinions on Baby Jogger City Select for 2 under 2

I have the baby jogger city select single to double - tons of different configurations, can do two bucket seats when they're bigger or a bucket seat and bassinet, or bucket and get adapters for the infant car seat, etc. They're super durable and can handle any terrain and can easily convert back to a single if you don't want the big double at times. Even better is you can find them for super cheap on Facebook marketplace in really great condition.

  • Comparison between City Select 2 and Uppababy Vista

I have the baby jogger city select 2 eco (not my first choice but we got an INSANE deal) and clek liing carseat. I got adapters on marketplace for $20 to connect my carseat to the stroller... Baby jogger city select 2, lived in Europe in a city with cobblestones and lots of rough streets with it and went on multiple trips to other countries within Europe. I believe the website said it was more narrow than the vista.

  • City Select 2 as a mid-tier stroller option

We have a Baby Jogger City Select. It has all of the features you're looking for, for the most part. We've taken it off road on trails when hiking and it handles that pretty well. You can upgrade the wheels if you want... I will say it doesn't do any of those things perfectly, but it can work. Eventually we did end up getting a more lightweight stroller once we were out of the infant stage.

  • Double stroller indecision between Cybex and Baby Jogger

I ended up with the City Select 2 after going back and forth. It's heavy but I like that it can be a single or double and has the second seat option. I wish it were lighter but it's been fine.

  • Considering City Select 2 but worried about bulk

I'm thinking of getting it but I'm worried about the weight and how big it is. I have a small car and live in a walk-up. But the ability to become a double later is tempting. People say it's sturdy and pushes well.

  • Thoughts on City Select 2 Eco model

I have the Eco version. Got it on a good sale. It's nice but the fabric is a bit different - more eco-friendly but I'm not sure it's any better. The stroller itself is heavy, but I like that it folds relatively flat. The second seat is expensive.
