The biggest issue I think most people will realize with the gate is that the overall structure is a bit flimsy. The upright section on the left and right of the pass-thru opening are not strong enough. This means that when you crank down on the rubber feet that secure the gate in between 2 walls, you can go too far and actually flex the uprights inwards. When this happens, the lock/latch mechanism will not work properly and you effectively can't open the gate door. Basically it's pinched in on itself. So you have to back off the tension on the rubber feet things till the latch opens.
