Graco TurboBooster 2.0 Highback Booster Car Seat (Freya) — 2‑in‑1 Highback/Backless, 40–100 lb, LATCH, hide‑away cup holders

We bought this car seat in July 2024 and the adjustable headrest began falling down after only a few months in use. We bought this specific seat because it was easy to install and would be great for positioning the seatbelt for our oldest child. Install is great and the falling down of the headrest is a massive safety concern, so much that we will not be using it with our other child, even though the seat will not be expired yet. Don’t market this as an adjustable high back booster if the top doesn’t stay at the correct height.

Great option I’m really glad we purchased this booster with a back. We purchased graco car seats for the 0-5 age for my daughters and of course I wanted graco again for their boosters. Light weight. Good color. Kids are learning to buckle themselves. Easy to move around the car or in/out other vehicles. We purchased four (two for each car) and I’m so glad we did! Would purchase again.

We needed to go to the next size car seat. Absolutely love this seat! Highly recommend for ease of installation and ease of putting the grandchild in! (For us older grandmas!)

My son wasn’t ready for just a regular booster seat so this was the best alternative. Not bulky like a traditional car seat but still offering the same level of safety and peace of mind to this momma.

Great booster for my child! The seat is lightweight and easy to install. The seat belt positions properly and the latch ensures the booster stays in place.

I like this highback booster, because it is lightweight, it, is easy to attach to the car(so it doesn't move around when not in use), it is narrow enough at the top that it can be placed in the center seat between other carseats, or between adult passengers with full size shoulders, and it is not an overly expensive seat. The only thing I wish was different was the color. The light grey will probably show the dirt more than a black or darker grey seat.

I am really happy we got this booster seat instead of squishing my child into their car seat. It is spacious and helps them feel like a "big kid" while also keeping them safe with room to move. The headrest also mimics their Graco Extended Fit carseat so their head doesn't bobble around when they fall asleep in the car.

Good seat for my older son. Easy to use, and prep for using a seat belt.

This has been such an easy and cute booster for my little! She loves the design and the high back makes it easier to keep her in the right position.

We have used this car seat for a year and a half, and unfortunately it is not holding up. We are not hard on it but it gets normal use. The high back will not stay up. It constantly falls down to the lowest setting without us touching the adjustment handle. The seatbelt also slips out of the adjuster too easily and we constantly have to fix it. We are trying to teach our son independence, but we have to adjust each time we get into the car.

I love the safety aspects of the booster seat, especially the latches, as there arent many booster seats that have this feature. My only complaint is that the seat looks more comfortable than it really is. The padding is extremely thin and just provides covering of the hard plastic underneath. My child complained of the hardness the whole time.

This is perfect and the back is removable as they age.

I have a 6 year old and it works well for them. It is roomy but still have support and even if they fall asleep, they aren't flopping around as would happen with a booster without a back. The only thing I don't love is that it doesn't have the straps in the back to have it more sturdy in the car. There is a more expensive option that I guess does. So it can slip a little when they are getting in.

Love the seat! Base is still too wide for middle seat in Grand Highlander.

Lightweight and comfortable for my almost 5 year old. Super easy to install! Feels a bit flimsy at times, but feels much safer than a booster seat.

Works great for our 5yo, fits well in Subaru Crosstrek and Forester, good value for the price.

My grandson loves his new booster seat because he can see what’s around him better. We love it because it still has Graco’s safety and quality while being a little bit easier to maneuver him into now that he has grown.

Brought this product two weeks ago. The only thing I don’t like is that it does not include a build in attachment mechanism to secure it to the vehicle. Didn’t know to check as safety by securing the toddler’s would be automatic. .

This booster is great, easy for my kids to buckle themselves in, and a great price point. I do wish the cup holders were a bit deeper, because we did have a cup go flying, but otherwise I’m very happy with this purchase!

We bought this seat last year. The head of the seat is constantly falling down. I wanted to return it, but can't remember where we bought it from. We have three like this and all three do the same thing. Definitely seems unsafe to me.

Super convenient for my growing kiddo. He loves the fact he can buckle/unbuckle on his own. And i love the adjustable back it keep my big kod safer for longer.

We got this seat for my 7 year old after loving the Extend2Fit they had. It didn't work for our kiddo as the seatbelt was too close to her neck. We couldn't get it to work in a 2016 Highlander or 2013 RDX. It also seemed less sturdy then our other seats. We ended up returning it and going with a seat that seemed more sturdy.

Pretty flimsy, no padding on seat just some cloth. A HUGE step down from the Extend to Fit car seat she outgrew. This will be tough for trips over an hour.

We have bought at least seven of these over the last seven or so years—two for each car here, two for the car at the in laws, and at least one that we gifted to a family member. These seem very comfortable (kids have never complained about them), easy for the kids to unbuckle and unbuckle themselves, love the cup holders. Just overall a great booster and can withstand all the mess and turmoil your kids can dish out, while keeping them safe.

The seat was too wide for a mini cooper countryman. The seat also felt hard and seemed like it would be uncomfortable on a child’s bottom during long rides.

My kiddo loves this booster! The colors are so lovely and she is comfy. It is great that the cup holders slide away for more room when we have another passenger too. Little sister is jealous.

My 5 yr. old grandson was so excited to be in this seat. He asked to go for a ride when I put it in, to sort of, test it out. He felt so big looking out the window. He loves it. It's nice that the back base seat hooks to the main seat for added security.

My little girl loves all the colors and that she can sit “criss cross applesauce” and be comfortable. She loves getting to buckle like a big girl and also the hidden cup holders!

I purchased the same version 4 years ago but the quality was so much better. This one doesn’t have fabric over the armrests so it’s hard and the back lever to raise the headrest is cheaper plastic that isn’t rounded so it digs into the leather of your cars headrest. Overall just made cheaper and not as comfortable.

The quality seems to be poor, and it feel uncomfortable as it is a bit hard. Kids cannot sit on it for long trip

I bought this on the 8th at Target. It’s comfy and it latches to the car itself which I love but the back does not stay up. Every single car ride I’m having to lift it back up to her height level. The head rest just will not stay up. It says it has 6 height levels but the only level it really works at is the lowest. And that’s simply because it can’t fall any lower

This seat is perfect: inexpensive, lightweight, easy to use, easy to convert to a backless booster. This works great for other people's cars(Gma/Gpa, Aunts/Uncles) since it isn't necessary to buckle with the latch system or anchor points-which our main Graco seat needs to be.

Everything I want or need in a highback booster: lightweight, comfortable, secure, cupholder, LATCH system.

Perfect for our car where we need to fit 3 car seats 3 across. This is the only booster that will fit because of its narrow footprint. Also my kid loves the cup holders and I love that they retract into the seat.

Bought this for my bonus child and I love the color. Pretty purple and super comfy, which I was not expecting.

I bought this a couple of months ago and just started using it. It’s by far the worst product I ever bought!!! Every time you make a turn the booster seat tilts over to other side it does not have a latch so much less secure. I called the customer service and they were no help they stated since it has nothing wrong they can’t replace or take it back. They were not concern about the safety issue it has. Don’t waste your money with this product.

The car seat was great, we did return the item and purchased the car seat with the anchors.

Got this booster car seat from the Graco website since it was on sale with free shipping as well. Car seat came pretty quickly which was great but, once I took it out of the box there were two big spots of some yellowish glue on the fabric of the armrest and headrest. I tried to get it out but it just wouldn’t come off. Pretty dissatisfied with my purchase and hopefully it doesn’t affect the functionality of the product. I have four kids and have always used Graco products. What a shame!

Wish it strapped to car, though. If I were to do it over, I would get something on black Friday

Great booster seat. Our 4 yo was using the 4-in-1 booster option but we want to use that Graco seat for the next kid so we upgraded our booster seats. These are much lower profile than the Graco 4-in-1 which we appreciate bc our 4 yo's feet were kicking/crunching on the front seats. These were a great call as he has much more room. I wanted the high back as he still only 4 and the back provides nice support and a "boundary" as he learns to sit in his seat the whole ride (not leaning forward/ to the side).

We own several Graco seats and bought 2 of these as my child has outgrown her previous one. I am really wanting to love this seat just as much but the headrest continues to fall down every time she gets in the car. I came on here hoping for a trick to solve the issue but I see many other reviews have this problem as well. Really upset I'm going to have to look for another high back booster less than a year after I bought these two.

I bought 2 of these yesterday for my 5 year old twins, and installed them into my car. I LOVE how sleek they are and that they do not take up as much space as the Graco 3-1. I would have rated it much higher except that I am not sure if it is missing the buckle behind the seat to properly secure it to the bench seat. I am going to do more research to find out. My husband and I are not fans of that feature missing.

Really wanted to love this seat. The high back doesn’t stay in place. Vibrations from the car or just my son getting in and out of the car causes the headrest to drop down. Ready to purchase a new seat and haven’t even had this a year.

Bought this a month ago and as grandparents we are extremely happy with this product. Of course the best thing is the granddaughter is happy also. She will be able to grow into this seat for years to come.

I purchased this seat just over a year ago and I'm officially ready to replace it. The back support does not stay in any position other than the lowest. With child in seat and head rest at proper height, vibration of driving causes it to drop down. My child has actually made the comment of "I wish my seat would stay up."

Every time my son lays back in this I hear a crack from the joining area to the base. I don’t know if it’s suppose to do this as it hasn’t attached yet. The headrest has slid down on its own a few times and I’ve read elsewhere this can be a problem. Padding isn’t great either but at least I got this seat cheap.

My son absolutely loves this highback booster. The hidden compartment is one of his favorite parts because he can hide his little toys in it from his little sister. LOL I love how you can latch the bottom into the seat to secure it more than just the seat belt across the child.

This carseat was great at first. Then the back started sliding down. Now we have a hard time keeping the back part up. We have 4 of these seats and the backs fall in all of them every single time the kids sit down. Upon looking at the latch, it is poorly designed. I do not recommend this seat.

Love the extra feature of the latch system, makes the seat more secure and easier to buckle the seatbelt.

I really feel better about this car seat for my grandsons. My 7 yr old grandson was using one similar to this one but was only fastened by the seatbelt itself. My 4 yr old grandson was in a regular car seat the was fastened into the truck by an anchor. This booster-car seat is anchored on to brackets at the base of the truck seat. I have better peace of mind knowing the seats are anchored in place.

Great booster seat, easy to install and love the latch system as it keeps the seat in place. My granddaughter says its very comfortable. The shoulder harness part the belt slides thru is adjustable as your child grows. I also like that when it comes time, we can just use the seat part.

I had purchased this booster in the past for my granddaughter, at the time my grandson wasn't quite ready for a booster. He always wanted to sit in sissy's seat. The back broke on hers and I contacted Graco and they replaced it. Now that he is big enough, I purchased one for him also. He was so excited when he saw it. It's truly the perfect booster. I looked everywhere for a booster that would suit my 4 year old and then I found this. I LOVE how it locks into the seat so it doesn't slide like most boosters. That was definitely my main concern. My son sits perfectly in this product. Graco has been my go to product since he was born!

So far so good! But I really with you guys made a harness seat for a child weighing more than 65 lbs. My so has special needs and is 4 years old needing a booster now due to weight and height. I don't feel great about him only having a seatbelt even though our local police department says it's ok.
