Great for decks too!
I don’t have to worry about my puppy falling down the steps. I like that the bottom mount thing is movable.
Does not contain evil masterminds but otherwise an awesome gate
I ordered this gate to keep my cat upstairs. That was a total fail but it is certainly not the gate's fault that my cat is an evil mastermind. For any other use this gate would be amazing. It installed in less than an hour and is easy enough to open and close.

So if you have little ones this comes in clutch! No more worries as far a kids tuning out ! Installation was simple not hard at all was able to do it alone and yes mine is placed outside because I’m ok with the kids running around the house just don’t want them tuning out the house. They weren’t able to figure out how to get out yet so that’s a very good thing it’s definitely sturdy and strong material. Totally recommend it

I’ve been looking for a retractable gate for a while now. I finally ended up getting this one to use at the top of my stairs. I use this to keep my dog from going downstairs on his own. It is very good quality and retracts easily and smoothly. The set up is pretty easy and didn’t take much time either. All you have to do is just drill a few holes and make sure the parts line up so you can retract the gate smoothly. I also like the “lock” feature on it, just in case someone try to retract it, it won’t work until you unlock it. I highly recommend getting this!
Attractive, wide gate
Nice looking gate! We have it at the top of the stairs at my studio to keep puppers from storming the front door when people come in and out. It is very attractive and classy, so looks nice in the office. Easy to open and close, and I love that it has such a small footprint when not in use. Surprisingly sturdy too consider it is just a retractable mesh gate. My pup has jumped up on it and it held her weight just fine. Tall enough to discourage anyone trying to jump over it, but the pups can still see through so they don't feel like they are locked away from the fun. It has a lock on it that keeps it from being pulled out so little ones wouldn't be able to play with it. Install was pretty easy overall. I had a bit of a challenge as the walls in my studio are very thin and have metal studs, so finding a place that I could put it was tricky. The anchors that are included aren't my favorite, but they should be fine if you have normal construction. My drywall is just too thin I think-the

With two girls I don't have to worried about them going upstairs
I didn’t notice that this gate has to be drilled into the door frame when I ordered it. That totally makes sense when you look at how it’s built but I’m not the handy one in the household so I didn’t think about it. My boyfriend wouldn’t let me install it in our house so I gave it to a friend that was fostering a litter or puppies. She got it installed and absolutely loves it! She said it was easy to put up and it’s easy to use. It keeps the puppies in their area and has been a real sanity saver as their other gate kept getting knocked over.
Easy to use works wonderfully keeps my dog contained without them running after people when we open the front door.

We got a Comomy one and it’s been great. Sturdy, easy to use, and doesn't take up any space. My only beef is that the lock is a little tricky to do one-handed, but you get used to it. Much better than the pressure-mounted ones that my kid can shake loose.

Recommendation for Comomy retractable gate as a durable option
I bought a Comomy retractable gate after my kid body-slammed our old one. It’s mesh but thick, and the lock is strong. We use it to block the staircase and it hasn’t budged. Install was a bit annoying because you need to drill into the wall, but once it’s up it’s solid.
