Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Is the Wayb Pico worth the high price?
- If you travel frequently by air and need a lightweight, foldable seat, many say yes. For occasional use, a cheaper alternative may be better.
- Does the Wayb Pico fit in airplane overhead bins?
- Yes, its compact folded size allows it to fit in most overhead bins, which is a major pro for parents.
- What age/height/weight limits does the Pico have?
- It is forward-facing only, so not suitable for children under 2 or those under the minimum forward-facing limits (typically 22 lbs and 1 year old). Maximum limits are around 50 lbs and 45 inches.
Compared To
vs Cosco Scenera
The Wayb Pico is lighter and folds for easier transport, but the Cosco Scenera is much cheaper and suitable for younger toddlers rear-facing.
vs Ride Safer Travel Vest
The Ride Safer vest is more compact but less of a traditional car seat; Wayb is preferred for airplane use and traditional installation.

User shares enthusiastic review of Wayb Pico for air travel with a 2-year-old
We just flew with our 2 year old and used the Wayb Pico with the backpack bag. It was a breeze through the airport. We gate checked our stroller and carried the Pico on the plane. It fit easily in the overhead bin. My son sat in it on the plane and was comfortable and contained. At our destination we used it in a rental car. Installation with LATCH was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Critical feedback on Pico's installation and price compared to alternatives
I bought the Wayb Pico and ended up returning it. I found installation with the seatbelt to be a huge pain, and in older cars without LATCH it's basically useless. Also, the crotch buckle is ridiculously short—my average-sized 3-year-old was uncomfortable. For the price, I expected better. We switched to the Ride Safer Travel Vest and it's been great.

Detailed tips for airline travel with Wayb Pico including bag options
I've traveled with the Pico multiple times now. Tips: Get the premium bag—it's worth it for the luggage pass-through and padding. The seat fits overhead on all major airlines. On the plane, recline the airplane seat slightly before installing to get the angle right. Use a seatbelt extender if the buckle ends up in the middle of the kid's back.

Trip report: family of four used Pico for three weeks in Europe
We traveled for three weeks with two Picos, one for each kid (3 and 5). The Picos fit in the overhead bins and were easy to carry with the backpacks. They were a lifesaver in taxis and rental cars. The only downside was that the straps got twisted easily and the buckle was tricky to adjust. But overall, would do it again.

Comparison between Cosco Finale and Wayb Pico for travel
I have both the Cosco Finale and the Wayb Pico. The Pico is way lighter and easier to carry, but my older kid (4) is already close to the height limit. For the price, I'd only get it if you plan to use it for several trips per year. Otherwise, the Finale is a solid, affordable option that will last longer.
