We list the cup “opening” (diameter across the rim) and depth as follows: Regular (L) — ≈1.77 in (4.5 cm) opening; depth ≈0.63 in (1.6 cm). X‑Large — ≈2.16 in (5.5 cm) opening; depth ≈0.67 in (1.7 cm). We do not recommend wearing the Moogco Silver Nursing Cups while using an electric breast pump. The manufacturer states the cups are not designed to collect more than a few drops of milk (they can fill and leak) and instructs users to remove the cups during feeding sessions, so they can interfere with pump flange fit and suction.

We use 925 sterling silver for these nursing cups, and the chance of developing systemic argyria from wearing solid sterling silver cups is extremely low — argyria is almost always linked to prolonged ingestion, inhalation, or heavy occupational exposure to silver compounds rather than brief skin contact with a solid silver object. Temporary gray/black marks can occur where sterling silver tarnish or the alloy reacts with sweat, lotions or cosmetics; those stains are usually surface tarnish that rubs off and are cosmetic. Very rare cases of localized silver deposition have been reported with prolonged use of silver-containing creams or dressings, so follow the included cleaning instructions and stop use if you notice persistent skin discoloration or irritation.
