  • Positive review highlighting value and stability with some assembly issues

I was gifted this bassinet by a friend. For the price it’s surprisingly good quality and seems pretty spacious and comfortable for a newborn. It feels very stable, but you are still able to gently rock it side to side to soothe the baby without fear of it tipping over. The only real problem I have with it is that the support bar that connects the legs is very difficult to pop on and off. This makes it difficult to regularly take the product apart for storage or traveling. So I would only recommend it if you’re going to keep it set up for an extended period of time. The fabric was super easy to remove and wash, however there isn’t a way to wash the mattress pad itself other than spot clean. It’s a standard bassinet size that is very easy to find extra sheets that fit safely. All in all, I still give it 5 stars because for the price this is an excellent bassinet option.

  • Recommendation as budget-friendly bedside sleeper used for months

We used the Dream on Me Skylar bassinet and loved it. It's a fraction of the price of a Halo and worked just as well for us. The side drops down so I could easily reach over to nurse or comfort baby at night. It's sturdy and has adjustable heights. We used it for about 5 months until she outgrew it.

  • Complaints about difficult assembly and thin mattress

I got the Dream on Me Skylar and I'm honestly not a fan. The assembly was a nightmare - the legs were so hard to snap into place, I almost broke a nail. The mattress it comes with is super thin and my baby hated it. We ended up buying a different mattress insert which kind of defeats the purpose of a budget buy.

  • Question about height safety with conflicting information

I have purchased the skylar dream on me bedside bassinet/sleeper but the directions are very unclear when it comes to the maximum height of the adult mattress from the ground. In many places it says no mattress higher than 24” from the ground should be used with the bassinet as a bedside sleeper but then in other reviews and frequently asked questions it said it would be fine because there are 5 adjustable heights that accommodate taller beds. My mattress is currently 27” from the ground and with the bassinet at the tallest setting it sits higher than our mattress. Does anyone know which one is correct/accurate?
