The Safety 1st Onboard LT Infant Car Seat is a practical choice for parents looking for safety and convenience. It has a lightweight design and was easy to install. It was very easy to move between vehicles. The harness was secure on our little one, but the buckles were a little hard to press when undoing it. The fabric was soft, and seemed to have a lot of cushion making it a comfortable ride for our baby. The sunshade was difficult to raise and lower, but once in place it was very secure. Safety 1st Onboard LT Infant Car Seat! What an awesome car seat I love the ease and simplicity of this car seat added bonus it’s so chic and sleek! I like the fact that the installation and adjustment process is very easy plenty of room for a growing baby. The base was not to bulky for my small suv. My little one seemed very comfortable in it she was all smiles. The fabric is also a plus you can wipe up accidents with a little damp cloth it’s also Machine washable and dryer safe. This replaced one of my other big name brand carcar seats. I would definitely recommend this carseat to expecting parents, friends and family. I received this car seat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and overall I was satisfied with this product. It was definitely lightweight, but it was a bit difficult to carry because the plastic on the side was sharp and hit my leg. Granted- my child is already 10 months and nearly 20 lb, but still would've liked it to be more comfortable there. He seemed happy when he was in it! I had no trouble getting him buckled securely, but I couldn't get the base installed with the latch. The straps would only tighten on one side for some reason. No problem with the base and the seat belt though. It's a good car seat for anyone looking for something super basic! No bells and whistles, but gets the job done without too much trouble.

First, I received this car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, this is a good car seat. I liked the look and the design of the car seat. I like how lightweight it is. I also like how it's narrower than other car seats that I've used in the past, which is really like when you have multiple car seats next to each other. The installation was straightforward. The fabric was nice and soft. My biggest issue with the car seat was when I would connect the car seat to the base in the car. It just didn't seem sturdy enough for me.

This is an easy-to-use car seat! Easy to install and easy to operate! I’ve only had it for a short while, so durability is still in question. We received this car seat from Stellar Panel to review and we are honestly SO impressed! It is easy to get in and out of the base, the base was so simple to install and it’s VERY lightweight! The ONLY con we found was that the cover on the top can be hard to pull down at times. With that being the only flaw, I can confidently say that this is the most lightweight and convenient carrier we’ve ever used!

The Safety 1st Onboard LT Infant Car Seat is very lightweight, simple, and functional. The gray and black design is simple and nice looking. It’s not luxurious but very functional. The installation process takes a little work. The base has hooks rather than a latch system. If you plan to move the base frequently, then I would recommend getting the version of this with the latch system. It takes a lot of muscle to get it tight. If you have leather seats, it tends to move more as well. Adjusting the straps is super easy and straight forward. By far I liked how lightweight this seat was. My baby is pushing 22 lbs and harder to carry in other car seats compared to this one. He seemed comfortable enough but the straps do not have any cushioning which rub slightly on his neck. If you’re needing a car seat to travel with or in a second vehicle, this is a great lightweight option. Just take note of the base system and perhaps update to a latch system if you need. Upon opening the box, I was fairly impressed by the look of the car seat. The gray and black gives it a very sleek look. The fabric is soft and comfortable to the touch, which my baby seems to enjoy. There is a newborn insert included. I wish there was also a removable padded layer that goes onto the seat belt above the chest clip. My least favorite part of the car seat is the sunshade. It makes loud clicking noises when you open and close it. If my baby is asleep in the car seat, I would not dare use the sunshade as it would wake her up from the noise. You also need two hands to properly open and close it which is a slight inconvenience. My favorite thing is that the car seat itself is very light! As a first time mom, this is important because we’re already carrying so much stuff to begin with! Installing the base of the car seat into the car was super easy! Just click in the two anchors and tighten! It takes just a few minutes to do. Adjusting the seatbelt in the seat was also quick to do too. I really enjoyed the look and feel of this car seat. The colors are beautiful and sleek looking. The design made it easy to get my baby in and out without struggling, which I really need the ease since I have a toddler as well. In addition it was much easier to install the base than other infant car seats I have used and it’s slender build allowed another car seat without taking up the whole backseat. The directions were concise and easy to follow. My baby falls asleep every time she’s in the car seat so I think she finds it very comfortable. They say the best car seat is the one that can be installed correctly. I have to say this car seat was really easy to install and use. I was able to adjust the harness very easily. The other big thing with this car seat is that my baby actually fell asleep! She is 10 months old and rarely falls asleep in her usual car seat. But when testing this one out she fell asleep within minutes of driving! I am very impressed by the ease of use and how comfortable this car seat was for my baby. Highly recommend!

There are multiple way to install car seat with lower anchors or vehicle seat . The fabric is soft and breathable make my baby few comfortable while seat on. I mostly like the comfortable of the car seat design and material, the manual provides clear instructions for adjustments.

I have a six month old and was using a carseat/stroller combo until now so it was cool to be able to review the differences. I felt like for this price you get a decent amount of features but it doesn't compare to the big name brands out there. The chest buckle is not so easy to open and close and feels a bit flimsy but hopefully it went through enough safety tests to be ok. It is extremely lightweight which is a huge plus! It's half the weight of my old one. The cushioning is nothing to write home about but its quite comfortable and the aesthetics are nice. I found the hood a little bit rough to open and it didn't slide so smoothly but once it was open, it gave nice sun coverage. I'm pretty impressed that for this price you can get something so decent but it wouldn't be my first choice for comfort and easy in and out.

I received this seat as part of the Stellar product testing panel. I found the car seat to be pretty basic with no additional features. It will definitely protect your child and my daughter seemed comfortable in there. The handle and materials seemed a little cheap and bare bones but it was very lightweight which is a plus. The anchors are a clip which are a little harder to install than the button ones. i didn’t like how there was no level bubble or anything. It was a little difficult to tell if the seat was at the appropriate level. I felt as if my child was safe in the car seat but I wouldn’t purchase it for another child. Over all my favorite part is how light the car seat was.

I actually really loved the Safety 1st OnBoard LT car seat. The material is so much softer than similar car seats. My baby seemed to be very comfortable in it. Installment was very quick and easy. The car seat is so lightweight so its easy to carry my baby in. The only thing I didn't care for is when the car seat is in the base, it seems to sit baby upright a little ways and the base barely fit in my cadillac sedan. Other than that, I loved the car seat! I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try out for my little one. I love the look and how light weight it is! I have 2 that I have to carry up and down stairs so this seat has made it easier since it is lighter than my previous seat. It was very easy to install and take in and out of my vehicle. My little one seems comfortable with the seat and the padding and can grow with the seat before having to move to the next seat.

I was given this infant car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The first one I received, I was concerned had some defects and when I reached out to the company, I received a prompt response and I was shipped a new car seat very quickly. Getting it out of the box, it is very lightweight by itself and I liked the look and color of the car seat, I prefer darker colors to not show every piece of dirt or crumb that is inevitable in a child’s car seat. I don’t love the clips to use as the latch install so I chose to use the car’s seatbelt to install the base, but I appreciated the ease of the storing the latch belts. For me, the clips on this are easy to install but difficult to uninstall so if you plan to move the base frequently, it might prove difficult. I feel with it just having a line saying it should be parallel to the ground to ensure safety leaves a lot of room for error. I prefer a feature to show me it is level. The fabric is soft and my infant seemed comfortable, but I didn’t love how the head cushion wasn’t attached to anything, it came out easily when lifting my infant out at times. On the other hand, it was also easy to remove and replace the shell fabric when adjusting the harness and bottom buckle, which will make it easy to remove and replace when it needs washed as well. My favorite feature was the elastic to keep the canopy in place in the back of the car seat, but the canopy itself clicks loudly when adjusting it back and forth. Overall, I would say this is an okay affordable option for a infant car seat.

On first impression of the car seat I was unsure what to think because safety first does have a reputation to be on the cheaper end of baby gear. However I will say I definitely had a few pleasant surprises as we tried out this seat that stellar panel gifted us! Let me break it all down: As far as ease of installation it definitely was one of the less complicated car seats I have set up. I will say that adjusting the harness buckle is a bit more tedious than I had hoped because of the way the fabric loops around the metal piece but it’s not impossible it just took a couple tries to get it right. Other than that the base is simple to buckle into a car and the car seat does click into the base seamlessly. I did feel like there was slightly more wiggle room than I’m used to when then car seat is clicked in to the base but it was not anything crazy. The shape of the seat is definitely a more open and shallow shape which again is not what I had been accustomed to so it felt like my child was slipping slightly forward when I carried the seat however, it definitely looked like a more comfortable fit for a chubbier child! So I would definitely recommend it to parents whose child is just too uncomfortable in slimmer and deeper car seats, this may also allow parents to not have to size up the car seat as quickly as the deeper and slimmer ones! Materials is where this seat lost some points with me. Though the sleek look was definitely achieved I felt like the padding to make the seat more cushioned was lacking and as I inspected the fabric further the longevity of it seemed to have been sacrificed. I just prefer to have my seats look more polished at all times and I fear with this seat I won’t be able to take the fabric and fully clean it without worrying how it could damage it. This is unfortunate because blowouts happen but you’re probably better off only spit treating as needed with this seat. Another point of concern though I know it passes the safety ratings necessary, when I removed some of the fabric to inspect the seat I noticed more foam vs hard plastic than other seats I’ve seen. This is a double edged sword though because it makes the seat amazingly lightweight but could be an issue with the shap holding up as well as if needs to I’m not sure. But the super lightweight feature makes it a perfect fit for c-section mamas! Overall I was impressed with this seat especially at its price point! I would definitely recommend parents to give it a try.

It is very easy to install the base, and we actually bought an additional base since we have two cars. It's design allows it to pop right in to my Safety First stroller, making it super versatile. It is even easy to install without a base; so when traveling in someone's car, we don't have additional hassle. It seems comfortable for my little one, and the fabric is easy to clean. I love this car seat and this brand. I plan to remain with Safety First as we graduate to the next size car seat/booster.

I love how it's light weight, easy to install, and how easy it is to use without even having to open the instructions initially. The fabric is soft and feels breathable. Had my little one in there and he looked like he fit it much better than the one I had previously. My only issue I had was trying to find ensure that the way the car seat was installed that it wouldn't make my child uncomfortable sitting in. My old car seat had a meter to let me visually see if my car seat was sitting too high or too low in the car. This one didn't so it was a bummer but that was really it. The red indicators on the bottom were great to see so that I can see where they latch onto the base. I also appreciated the adjustable head rest instead of having to buy a new insert completely. It's a great first car seat for sure!

I have had three infant car seats now, between my two kids, and this one is probably my favorite of the three. I really like the look of the seat- it’s simple but the fabric is soft and looks/feels high quality. I like that’s it’s a little plushy and there isn’t too much going on visually. The sunshade comes down pretty far so my kid didn’t have the sun in his eyes when we were outside and I appreciated that. I liked how simple it was to install and the clips on the buckles weren’t stiff which is something my other seat had that made it hard to get him in and out quickly. My favorite feature is actually how high and wide the handle goes. Sometimes I hang a little mobile from the handle and in my other seat it was just an inch above his face, but this seat keeps it high enough he can see and play with it. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this infant car seat. I have mixed feelings about this car seat. I love how lightweight it is and it installed pretty easily. It was easy to carry with the almost handles on the outside and the handle itself was much easier to put down than my other similar car seat. The latches were very easy to pull to get it to unlock from the base. What I didn’t like was that the base was quite deep/high, which could be a good thing for safety and making sure the car seat didn’t wiggle around, but it made it very hard to get the seat out of the base without rocking around. If my son was sleeping it usually jostled him awake trying to get the seat up and over the large sides. Another thing I didn’t like was that the belts/straps were very hard to adjust and I felt I was constantly tightening or loosening them. I finally was to the point I’d put my child in and know I’d have to readjust the belts when I locked him into the base because my pinch test would be completely different from when I first put him in. He didn’t seem comfortable in it to be honest. Overall I think this car seat has some kinks it needs to work out, but it definitely could be a great seat.

I received this infant car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My first impressions were that it’s a standard infant car seat, but surprisingly light weight. I was almost concerned it felt cheap with how light it was. However, after looking it over and more importantly using it, I feel good in saying it’s a durable and safe car seat. I so appreciate the lightness of this car seat when toting around a baby. I think they got the shape of the car seat perfect. My little one seems quite comfortable in this seat. I have seven children and I’ve tested my fair share of car seats and some are just the wrong slope and shape for babies comfort. I was very impressed with the material of the car seat. It’s very soft and cushy and includes removable newborn inserts. I can already attest that the material spot cleans nicely and is easy to remove and replace for a full wash. I love the gender neutral color. It has a retractable canopy for shade. I love the coverage of the canopy, although I’d note that it clicks loudly when opening and closing. It has standard buckles that are simple to use and adjust. The handle is perfect for carrying by hand or on my arm. The car seat base is lightweight as well and adjustable to get the right fit in your car. The base was simple to install with clear instructions with visuals that are on the base. The clips have nice storage on the base when not in use and have the best buttons to adjust the clips. If you’ve ever installed a car seat base you know not all car seats clips are easy to adjust! Overall, I would purchase this car seat. It’s a great car seat for a great price. Most importantly, I felt my baby was safe and comfortable.

I was disappointed with this car seat right off the bat, in pulling it out of the box it seemed that the connection between the car seat and the base was not great. I pulled it out and tested to see if it just wasn’t connected all the way; but it was. When the car seat is “locked” on the base it still MOVES up and down a half inch to an inch, and rattles up and down. This does not seem safe to me at all. Because of this I did not feel good about putting my infant in this seat in the car and leaving the driveway. Some other things that were disappointing, but not unsafe were how LOUD it is to adjust the sunshade. I will pull a sunshade more closed if my baby falls asleep, but if I were to do that on this one it would wake the baby. The car seat also didn’t seem very padded or comfy, and the material seemed low quality. And just as a personal preference of mine, I don’t like that it would take two hands to adjust the bar. I have used another well known brands infant car seat that safely clicks into and stays on the base, has a smooth and quiet sunshade, is comfortable for my baby and only needs one hand to adjust the bar. I would not choose this Safety 1st car seat, and would not recommend to friends or family, mainly due to the safety issues of not staying well on the base. I received this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is a very simple infant carseat. It is simple to use and it is also very simply made. It is extremely light, which is every parents' dream or at least mines! Even the base is super lightweight. It isn't bulky, I can see it as a good space saver for someone with a smaller vehicle or that needs to line up multiple carseats in a row. To me it does not seem comfortable for baby. There are no strap pads to help buffer the seat belt strap with the baby's shoulder/neck. The head rest falls out each time because it just lays there. I can definitely see it getting lost in the near future. The clicking sound of the canopy is rather loud. You will need two hands to adjust the canopy open/close. I tried it one handed and it doesn't really want to reposition unless you are guiding it with two hands. Installing the base wasn't too difficult. The instructions are pretty straight forward. There's no leveler but a sticker and a line that you would have to guess if it's leveled or not. I do have a tool in my garage to help. If you are looking for a space saver and light weight infant carseat, this could work for you.

First of all I would like to thank the Stellar product testing panel for the opportunity to test and try the Safety 1st onboard LT infant car seat! This car seat is very comfortable for my little one. I like how it has more space than other infant car seats. The design is great and I love how the cushions are breathable. The color is a nice grey and black so it stays cool in the summer time. I live in CA so the weather is unpredictable and the heat is crazy! It is very easy to put in and out of the car. The base was super easy to install which is awesome! It is lightweight so that makes it easier to carry! We all know those car seats are so heavy especially with the little ones in it so it’s nice that this car seat is light weight and easy to carry. Although, the handle is a little awkward but overall not too bad. The fabric is super nice and appears easy to clean. I have not had to clean it yet! I will say I didn’t like the sun shed as it is kind of flimsy and doesn’t seem very well made. The buckles are easy to use which is nice because I have nails and sometimes they are difficult to unlatch but the Safety 1st LT infant car seat is super easy. I also like how the head rest is removable and adjustable. It’s also super comfy and the material feels nice. Its great for the summer too because the fabric is made to allow airflow. Overall, this car seat is great for infants and I would recommend to any mom. I do wish the sun shade was a little bit better made. Also my son is 10 months old and he’ll probably only be able to be in this car seat til about 1. So it’s great for the first year in my opinion.

My first impression out of the box was that the car seat has beautiful fabric. The padded insert is very plush and a perfect fit right from birth. As a mom of two, I need something easy and convenient. Installation was very easy and I love that you have the option to use a seat belt or latch connectors. The car seat is very light weight which is a must for me since I always have my hands and arms full. Overall my baby is comfortable and loves sitting in her car seat. This car seat is a fairly basic model, and most of the latching mechanisms and buttons felt nonintuitive to me (e.g., odd placements on the strap release, sticky clasp for the shoulder buckle, etc.). We used the latch system installation, and were unable to get a secure fit for our midsized sedan—it wobbled significantly no matter what settings we adjusted. The seat is large overall, which is nice for our ever-growing baby, but feels awkward to carry and doesn’t fit through the car door easily due to the handle height. Some things I DID love about this car seat are the washable and dryable seat cover, which is oh-so-smooth; the sleek and aesthetic grey sunshade; the lightweight body making it easier to carry; and the super stable base, which makes it easy to get baby in/out without the seat tipping at all. I usually read a lot of reviews online before choosing something BIG and IMPORTANT as my baby’s car seat (specially if I’m buying it online) and that’s why I want to share as many details as I can here, to help future mamas and dadas. Safety 1st is a super known and quality brand so I was excited about this!!! To start: my husband was the one who installed the car seat and he NEEDS a manual in the “for dummies” version. He find it hard to do it. However I looked it up afterwards and figure it out pretty quickly. The fabric is really soft and it has the insert for smaller babies, which is great and easy to remove. I did not like the fabric/ way that the cover worked, seems cheap (but let’s face it, the car seat it self is super affordable, so not a big deal). I found it super easy to loose the straps but really hard to adjust them. My baby seemed to be comfortable in it, and if you have a baby you know how hard can it be for your little one to adjust and be okay in the car seat… if it was just as easy as trying out different pacifiers… I really hope this review helps you out to chose the best car seat for your baby! This Car seat is an A+. It’s affordable, easy to use and SUPER light. I have big babies, my heaviest was just shy of 12lbs! All four were tall and heavy. My 7-month-old is in the 97% for height and I am constantly having to adjust her safety straps, I really like how easy this model is to adjust. The Design of the Safety 1st Onboard LT Infant Car Seat is very straightforward and intuitive. I highly recommend this product. The fabric is a breeze to clean. It is simple to disassemble, (and reassemble) so you can run it through the washer. Honestly, the only “critique” I can find is that the base is slightly larger than some other car seats I’ve used in the past. I’m talking maybe half an inch. That may make a difference to you, just look at the specks before you pull the trigger. If what you’re looking for is a traditional, straightforward, simple car seat, that’s super safe, light, and easy to clean, Look no further. My baby girl approves. I received this car seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This car seat is extremely lightweight. I was absolutely floored when I picked up the box off my front porch when it arrived. I thought for sure they sent an empty box and forgot to pack the car seat. That is the biggest pro for me about this car seat. With other car seats I have used, I avoid bringing them inside because they’re so heavy and bulky. This one is so easy to tote around. I love how compact it is. It can fit nicely in my row at church, and next to me at a restaurant, which I love. The installation was simple and very basic. Within minutes I had the base installed in my car and the straps adjusted to fit my baby. After two kids, I have learned that car seats with all the bells and whistles aren’t necessary and that I just need the easiest set up and to be able to put my kid in quick. This car seat allows me to do just that. The car seat comes with an infant insert to cradle smaller babies. On the other hand, the base of the car seat is not so compact. It seems really long. It still fit in my Toyota Rav 4 just fine, I just didn’t expect it to take as much space. I will attach a photo for reference.

I was given this infant car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The seat belt was easy to adjust and the car seat is spacious enough for my 4 month old baby to move around. The cushioning is made with soft polyester material that I liked. There are two separate cushions for the sitting area and another one that supports head rest. The head cushion design was uncomfortable for my baby, so I adjusted it so that it wasn't pointed down her back. I dislike how hard it is to adjust the retractable hood, and it is also very loud while adjusting. Installing the base and adjusting it was simple and easy. The locking mechanism to hold the car seat in the base could be more secure. It seemed like the car seat does not lock in all areas and one of the corners could lift out. Getting the car seat out of the base could be easier. It was not too problematic but could give some trouble getting stuck and not come out the first time. The car seat design adapted to our different stroller brand, which was a plus. The car seat itself is also very light weight and easy to carry. Overall, the car seat and base is nice quality product. My baby seems comfortable and has had no issues riding in the car or in a stroller with the car seat.

I received this carseat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was super impressed with the instruction manual. I know that sounds silly, but I haven't seen an easier to understand manual ever and we've purchased a few carseats. It has lots of pictures to follow to help you make sure your child is safely secure and for how to get it into the car. I liked the actual seat itself, too. It was easy to get him in and out and he seemed comfortable and not too squished (which is important since he's big for his age). It was a bit longer and took up more room than the one I was using previously, but luckily I have an SUV so I didn't need to adjust the front seat for it.

Thanks to the Stellar product testing panel for allowing me to test this awesome car seat. This car seat is so easy to install. It fits in the car nicely and does not take up a lot of space. The padding on the seat is nice and thick and very comfortable for an infant. When carrying the car seat it is light weight and easy to carry. The canopy is large enough to keep the infant shaded and easy to use. There is so much to love about this car seat. Even the color is nice. The only down side is the support insert padding inside the seat. It isn’t shaped to support the head as it does not reach the head and comes only to the back of the infant. That is a small problem and doesn’t really take anything away from how awesome this car seat truly is.

Disclaimer I received this car seat from stellar product testing panel for my honest review. Anywho, the car seat is very spacious, even for a 30LB. toddler who just wants to sit in does fit. The only downside is that is does not have much cushion, so it is not very comfortable after a while. The overall design is simple, it’s not a design that screams quality. It was easy to install and adjust. And my favorite thing about the car seat is that it is super light weight!

Bought this product and it came without a newborn head insert but came with the body insert. A little disappointed as I can’t seem to find a replacement anywhere online
