How many times have you needed just an extra safety gate around the house but don’t want to store the big bulky old classic plastic style gates?We definitely had a use for this as we got a new puppy and have three flights of stairs in our home. I wanted to limit the dangers of the puppy, falling downstairs or getting into trouble and this retractable gate was just the thing! While it’s not completely rigid, it does have a locking feature, making it pretty tight and pretty much a safety net.The fact that it retracts and takes a very little space, is very attractive to me, and one of the main reasons why I ordered this.It’s 33 inches tall and 71 inches wide, when fully extended. I’ve used a couple gates and this by far is our favorite set up was easy although they can get out easily by leaning on it at least helps train then to stay out of certain rooms
With two girls I don't have to worried about them going upstairs

Easy to assemble. Strong texture and materials. Price is very comparable. I recommend this to anyone looking for safety with a lil child at home.
I didn’t notice that this gate has to be drilled into the door frame when I ordered it. That totally makes sense when you look at how it’s built but I’m not the handy one in the household so I didn’t think about it. My boyfriend wouldn’t let me install it in our house so I gave it to a friend that was fostering a litter or puppies. She got it installed and absolutely loves it! She said it was easy to put up and it’s easy to use. It keeps the puppies in their area and has been a real sanity saver as their other gate kept getting knocked over.
This dog gate is easy to install, very sturdy, made of good quality materials, & a good value for the money! I definitely recommend it!

Very solid and easy 1 handed open and close
Super easy install. Looks great. Once it is installed, you can remove the gate part (for storage)and leave hardware in place. There is a locking mechanism on the top that can be difficult to lock and unlock if you have nails, because you have to pull the lock part up to lock and unlock. All in all this is a great gate. Looks good and easy to use!
We use this product as a tool to keep our older pets (one is blind) from going down the stairs. The only negative thing I can say is that because it is a very secure closure, it might be hard to close if your hands are full, like with a baby. The bottom clasp takes both of my hands.
Love that it retracts and there is no open door in the way! It was super easy to install and I recommend you find the studs behind the drywall for best results! We use it to keep our dog from going upstairs where the baby loves to crawl around!
I won’t be able to install this til spring unfortunately, but I have opened it and compared it to another model we have that was about $10 more expensive, and had thousands of reviews. This one seems compatible in quality and installation method. If it holds up like the other one, I’ll be happy. We use these on decks so that our dog cannot run down the stairs.

This gate is perfect keeping my dogs downstairs when we have guests over. The gate is well made, simple to use, and easy to install. I am pleased with the material made for the gate itself. This keeps the dogs from jumping on my guests so I am thrilled with this gate.
I use this gate to keep my dachshunds in one room. it works great! the instructions were super easy and I had no issues putting it together. I love how if I don't want to see it, it just goes back in and I dont have to see a huge gate in the room. I love the sleek look of this also. I recommend !

I’ve been looking for a retractable gate for a while now. I finally ended up getting this one to use at the top of my stairs. I use this to keep my dog from going downstairs on his own. It is very good quality and retracts easily and smoothly. The set up is pretty easy and didn’t take much time either. All you have to do is just drill a few holes and make sure the parts line up so you can retract the gate smoothly. I also like the “lock” feature on it, just in case someone try to retract it, it won’t work until you unlock it. I highly recommend getting this!
I have these installed all over my house to keep dogs in certain spaces. I cannot do traditional gates as there are wheelchair users in the home. These do not provide an access barrier to the person in the wheelchair, there is no bar to roll over or any need to take down a heavy gate just to get through. It is easily used by any adult in the house, and the fact that they just store in their roller until needed is a huge plus. I highly recommend these gates.
Was a little concerned with the quality of this item based on the cheap looking box it came in. However, when I removed the product, it’s quite nice! Sturdy and just like pictured. Good product!
Nice looking gate! We have it at the top of the stairs at my studio to keep puppers from storming the front door when people come in and out. It is very attractive and classy, so looks nice in the office. Easy to open and close, and I love that it has such a small footprint when not in use. Surprisingly sturdy too consider it is just a retractable mesh gate. My pup has jumped up on it and it held her weight just fine. Tall enough to discourage anyone trying to jump over it, but the pups can still see through so they don't feel like they are locked away from the fun. It has a lock on it that keeps it from being pulled out so little ones wouldn't be able to play with it.Install was pretty easy overall. I had a bit of a challenge as the walls in my studio are very thin and have metal studs, so finding a place that I could put it was tricky. The anchors that are included aren't my favorite, but they should be fine if you have normal construction. My drywall is just too thin I
We have two dogs and this retractable gate was great because we managed to give them limits. It works perfectly, I recommend it to everyone. With great value for money.
I used this product to keep my puppy from running outside. It's easy to use and set up. And it keeps my puppy indoors which is fantastic.
I absolutely love this gate! I was looking for a gate to put at the top of the stairs that wasn't pressure based, and this one fits perfectly. I am easily able to open the gate with one hand, while I'm holding my little one with the other. It's so nice that it doesn't automatically lock, because then it would be difficult to hook the gate to the other side. It also features a simple locking mechanism of turning the knob until it clicks into place, but it too tough for my toddler to turn. Highly recommend this gate for stairs or in between rooms! I was worried about my toddler being able to squeeze underneath the gate or pull it off the hooks, but it's been a week and so far neither has happened. Great product for a great price!
Good, very well-made product, a little heavy so it's a must that you have to drill holes in the wall to have this thing work. You may need to hire someone to do it for you if you are worried you may not install properly.
This works as described. It pulls out nice and smooth without getting caught. The locking mechanism is nice. I like that the space where the edge attaches is pretty small. The installation was a little bit cumbersome. It took about 30-40 minutes to install. Overall, the quality is good.
I really love this gate, though I did order it in black and received a white one I don't mind because the product works well! I have 2 golden retrievers who will push over a gate but they leave this one alone. The packaging includes a guide to line up the pieces on the walls and I would recommend anyone save these as it is hard to align them correctly with out it if you move the fence but the fence itself is great

You can completely do the setup in less than 10 mins with not rushing it. It's great quality, easy to use and does it's job well. Highly recommend.
So if you have little ones this comes in clutch! No more worries as far a kids tuning out ! Installation was simple not hard at all was able to do it alone and yes mine is placed outside because I’m ok with the kids running around the house just don’t want them tuning out the house. They weren’t able to figure out how to get out yet so that’s a very good thing it’s definitely sturdy and strong material. Totally recommend it
I ordered this gate to keep my cat upstairs. That was a total fail but it is certainly not the gate's fault that my cat is an evil mastermind. For any other use this gate would be amazing. It installed in less than an hour and is easy enough to open and close.
I bought this product as a gate for my dog so that he didn’t get into the shoe room and grab all of the shoes and destroy them. Before this we had a simple cheap baby gate that always fell down and our kids tripped over. This new gate is a lifesaver! It is strong and durable and easily extends and retracts. The lock feature is great so that even if the dog were able to get the gate off of the hooks it would not move. I recommend this product for both dogs and babies!

I installed this on my back door to prevent my dogs running out while I have the door open for fresh air.It is fairly simple to install, I just wish it had an option for a temporary install as well.
I was highly impressed by the quality of this babygate, compared to the other styles I have had in the past this is the easiest one to use because it's easy to open and it slides right out of the way unlike the other styles I had where I needed to find a way to store it if I moved it and because they were difficult to open I would often try to go over them and hurt myself. This gate looks really nice in my home, so much so that I got one for two other doorways in my home. I will say that when you open it and take it out-of-the-box initially it is kind of daunting because there are quite a few parts you need to hang on the wall and I personally have ADHD and I'm not able to concentrate for a long period of time and every time I would go to assemble this I would get distracted and end up having to start again later but I must say that the manufacturer included a stencil if you will where you can hang it up and it clearly marks where the pieces should go so you don't have to do any mea
Initial Impression (10/24/22): Although the delivery drivers did their best to destroy this before it reached me, it did arrive intact. It was very easy to put up with clear instructions. As long as you set it low enough it works great for tiny dogs.Pros: Easy to install, works well for small dogs, simple for adults lock and unlock.Cons: A little pricey compared to other options. Pull could be too strong for people with disabilities.Overall: This does what I need it to. I like it enough that I wish I had extra mounting gear. It would be great to move around the house.
This is a great gate. I love that it's so simple to open and close. No fumbling with a latch or anything like that. Saves more space than the door-within-the-gate type since when it's open it doesn't protrude into the doorway like so many of them. This is a winner.
The installation is pretty straight forward. The directions are good. The hardware it comes with is wrong. Oddly enough, the screw didn’t fit inside the anchors. We ended up using our own anchors and screws.What I like most about this gate is that it can be installed in so many different spaces. It’s long and versatile. We have it installed on an angle in the hallway. I can’t imagine any other gate would fit in that space. I also really like that you can take it off the hinge and put the cassette away if you really don't plan to use it. The hardware stays on the wall, but the cassette can easily come off.The gate is like a strong mesh material. If your dog is a jumper, I’m not sure how well this gate would hold up. On the flip side, if your dog can squeeze through small spaces it may manage to squeeze under the gate.Just a couple more things. The gate doesn’t make any noise when you open and close it. This gate is sturdy. It took some time to mount all the brackets that hold the gate to the wall. Make sure to find a flat wall or door frame surface to mount the brackets. I was hoping to use it for my staircase, but it would not mount to the railing side of my staircase. This is best for a door frame.
This is a nice, easy to use and install gate, but the entry to my stairs is not ideal. They have a banister on one side and various trim on both sides, so though I can mount this gate, there would be a large gap on the bottom. It's not the gate's fault, it's my stair entry. I do like the product, but just can't use it, unfortunately.

I bought this to use at the bottom of a wide set of stairs to keep the dog from going up. It's perfect for that. It expands very wide and has very little hardware or structure, so when it's open, the stairs are completely unobstructed. The stairs have a banister with spindles and I was able to attach everything with zip ties.
