Jolly Jumper Original Baby Exerciser (Grey Safari Saddle)
The Jolly Jumper Original Baby Exerciser is a doorway-mounted baby jumper designed for infants from approximately 3 months (when head control is established) up to just before walking, with a maximum weight of 28 lbs (13 kg). It is used for supervised bouncing play to help develop balance, coordination, and muscle strength, and includes a door clamp for setup in most doorframes. Medical professionals recommend limiting each session to 10–15 minutes and ensuring the baby's feet rest flat on the floor to reduce risks of developmental issues such as toe walking; the device is not advised for children with conditions like cerebral palsy without professional guidance.

I appreciated the detailed description
I appreciated the detailed description, I knew I was getting a floor model and it came in perfect shape at a much reduced cost. When I thought the cupholders weren't included, I reached out to them and then we found them and they were very responsive and thankful that I let them know. Everything is fine.

Kidsy Customer Service Review
Kidsy had a great selection of deeply discounted baby gates. Unfortunately, there was a piece missing when I received my package. I didn't realize it until after the 14 day return/exchange window. But I reached out, and they were willing to send me the piece anyway at no extra charge. I really appreciated the customer service.
Exactly what I needed
Found the exact baby item I needed for half the cost.

Great, trustworthy experience
Great deals, easy checkout with lots of payment options, shipped very quickly, and everything was packed well and looked exactly as it was described! I didn't end up needing any intervention with my shipping experience but appreciate the option to cover lost packages for a minimal fee, especially as we get into the late and lost package holiday season. I'll definitely be getting more of my baby gear from Kidsy.
Fast delivery
Order arrived in 2 days and looked perfect.
Very happy
Really happy with my order. Shipped fast and clean.

Great price and fast delivery.
Quick response
Ordered a gate prior to this one, UPS lost it on route. I reached out to Kidsy via email and they secured a refund from UPS. Was hesitant to order again, but I couldn't find the gate at a more reasonable price. 2nd order arrived with no issues. Gate is sturdy and the dog (Husky) hasn't gotten through it (he's an escape artist). Quick delivery from start to finish.
Would buy again
Everything was smooth and the item was as described.

Reddit Insights
6 threads · r/ScienceBasedParenting, r/NewParents, r/moderatelygranolamoms, r/bigbabiesandkids, r/CerebralPalsyParents are divided on the Jolly Jumper: many love its convenience and entertainment value, but health professionals and cautious parents raise developmental concerns, leading to a consensus of 'use in strict moderation'.
While many parents report positive experiences and babies enjoy it, the strong developmental warnings from experts and reports of toe walking create a cautious overall sentiment.

Use Cases
- Short-term entertainment while parents cook or eat, up to 15 minutes at a time
- Tiring out an energetic baby for better sleep
Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Is the Jolly Jumper safe for babies?
- It can be safe if used in strict moderation (10-15 minutes at a time), with proper setup (flat feet on floor, good head control), but it poses developmental risks if overused, according to many health professionals.
Compared To
vs Exersaucer / Jumperoo
Some parents find the Jolly Jumper better for tiring out babies and more fun, while others note the Exersaucer is more for learning and less risky developmentally. Preference depends on the baby's personality.

Scientific consensus against Jolly Jumper due to developmental risks
There is strong consensus among pediatric PTs/OTs that jolly jumpers/exersaucers are bad for development. They put the baby in an unnatural position that promotes toe walking and doesn't allow proper muscle development. The hip position is bad for hip dysplasia risk. They are not recommended, and many developed countries advise against them. If you absolutely must use one, limit to 10-15 minutes a day, ensure feet are flat on the floor (not tiptoes), and baby should be at least 6 months old with good core strength.

Jolly Jumper is worth it for temporary entertainment, but use carefully
It's definitely worth it for us—our baby loves it and it gives us time to cook dinner or clean without being screamed at. We have a 4.5 month old and he has good head control. We never really go over 15 minutes, maybe twice a day max. Make sure to put a blanket behind them so they don't hit the door frame. It's great for getting energy out, but I wouldn't rely on it for developmental benefits.

Mixed opinions based on baby's preference; some love it, others don't
Our baby loved it! Worth every penny. I think a lot of people get them and then don't use them properly so the baby never really gets into it. We used it from about 5 months and he still enjoys it at 9 months. It's great for getting energy out. But it definitely depends on the baby—some hate being contained. We tried an exersaucer and he wasn't into it at all, but the Jolly Jumper was a hit.

Granola moms caution against Jolly Jumper, suggesting alternatives
A lot of 'crunchy' moms avoid them due to developmental concerns—container baby syndrome, tip toe walking, etc. Alternatives: just put baby on a mat on the floor, baby wear, or use a stationary activity center with a flat bottom for short periods. If you do use it, make sure feet are flat and limit time to 10 minutes. We opted to skip it.

Big babies enjoy jumper but weight limits and doorway sturdiness are concerns
My 98th percentile baby has loved his since 4 months. It supports up to 25 lbs, so my big boy will outgrow it soon. At 7 months he's almost too heavy—the springs seem to max out. Also, watch the door frame setup: make sure the trim can handle the bounce. We had a near miss with the clamp slipping. It's great for wearing him out but we set a timer for 15 minutes, twice a day. His PT said it's okay as long as feet are flat and he's not in it long.

Jolly Jumper strongly discouraged for child with cerebral palsy due to worsening contractures
My 10 month old with CP loves his Jolly Jumper, but his neurologist and PT both said absolutely not—it can make his spasticity and contractures worse and encourage abnormal movement patterns. We were told to get rid of it. Instead, we do supported standing and floor play. It's heartbreaking because he enjoys it so much, but not worth the risk.
