New Chicco KidFit ClearTex Plus 2-in-1 Booster Car Seat (Drift)

I love this booster so much. It is so easy to install and my kids chose this over the more expensive graco model because the seats were more cushiony. I just wish they made some in lighter swatches like ivory to beige.

This has been perfect transition to a booster for my 7 year old. He is on the smaller size so we waited patiently for him to reach that 40 lb weight to transition and this has been a game changer. This seat meets the minimum requirements. I like the look. It matches the interior of our truck. Easy to install. Just feels flimsy. I wish it was a 5 point harness. If your headrest isn’t removable you probably won’t get a good fit.

Booster seat

Love this seat. Fits nicely in my car. Kid doesn’t have an issue buckling like with other car seats we have had, they cover the buckle and we would have to scoot the seat to the side. This seat is great. Lightweight & I love that it clips into the car and isn’t just free sitting. Makes me feel better about my growing kid.

This is one of the few manufacturers that includes LATCH with their booster seats. I feel much more confident that my little one is secured because of these latches. This is the only booster seat I trust and have used them with my 3 kids over 14 years.

As parents, we’re so grateful we found this car seat. With our old brand, the seatbelt would constantly lock or tangle when unbuckling, but we haven’t had that issue once with this one — such a relief during busy drop-offs and errands. The latch system is super secure, and the seat doesn’t move at all once it’s in place, which gives us real peace of mind. The blue ombré is gorgeous, and I love that the cup holders collapse and pop out for easy cleaning (and for making room if we have extra passengers in the back). I may be a *tad* biased because I've been using car seats since the early 90's and with 6 kids plus 3 grandkids, I've had to deal with some really awful ones. This booster is an absolute dream to use. I got it as a first booster for my grandson hoping the extra safety features would be sufficient so my daughter wouldn't veto it! It's ridiculously easy to put together; parts are labeled L & R for easy identification. All the satisfying <clicks> happen like they are supposed to when you've properly seated your armrests & cupholders.The Latch System is quite possibly the easiest I've ever used. We were able to evade a meltdown mid-melt by quickly switching the booster to another car when little buddy decided on an impromptu trip in another car. So simple to release & re-latch. (Perhaps having a newer car makes a difference in using Latch? Always been a thorn in my side!) I love this seat. Going to buy the combo seat for my granddaughter!

Very nice car seat. I like that it has latches because i like safe stuff. The car seat technician also said it was a really nice car seat. Chicco is the only car seat i buy. The belts are so smooth and easy to operate.

The latch system is a horrible design, when you tighten it … they release. When I did get it latched, then pulled on the seat to check it was locked. The latches release. No way I’m putting my child in this thing. Returned and will buy something else.

We’ve had a Chicco high back previously with our oldest and knew we wanted to get one for our youngest. He loves the seat space and comfort. It was easy to put together and put right in.

Great seat for a decent price! Installing it was a little tricky to get tight. But if you hold down the orange release button and pull the tether you can get it to work without the tether straps coming undone.

We have always used Chicco since our daughter was a baby, but this time we bought online and are very disappointed. Concerning this Car Seat we specially love the material, but very disappointment with: 1. Safety - Because arms of seat don't click and often get out (we have used all our strength!!). 2. Customer service. We wrote two times right after purchase, asking to change the color because it was a mistake - we never received a feedback! A few days later we wrote another email (the same correct address) and no answer/ support!

Like that it has lower latch anchors. Comfortable.

This seat is super easy to use

We're grandparents needing a seat for growing grandchildren. One child has this Chicco, other child has another brand. Bought Chicco online out of convenience (and 25% off). Much easier to swap in to/out of our smaller vehicles than the NASCAR Junior convertible seats we've using for the younger grands. Will buy another one of these seats, after that, will tell kids to let us drive their vehicles.

I do love this booster. It’s our second one so now both kids have one. My son got to pick the color online and picked blue. When I opened the box it looked so purple that I thought Chico sent the wrong seat! But next to my daughter’s seat (which is purple) it looked more blue so we kept it. Other than than, great seat in all the important ways :-)

Love this, my son was so happy to get a big boy seat and I was happy to have found one that met my standards and of course the state requirements. This one is easy to install and from what I can tell easy to uninstall as well. He loves it and it provides the protection momma needs.

The back part could be better. You can’t fix it to the car seat tight

The quality of this chair was shockingly poor. The upholstery on the back was sewn incorrectly resulting in a crooked head-rest. A large chunk of foam was missing from one of the arm rests. Overall just horrible construction and quality. I have purchased three Chicco car seats prior to this one with no problems. This style / design was just a far departure from what I have come to expect from this company. Skip this one!!!

A very nice booster. Would like to be able to release arms for packing. IMHO, Arms are a bit too low for kids ages 8+.

Great price and Easy to install, and piece of mind knowing there's less toxic materials. We have loved all our chicco products since our son was a newborn. With another little one on the way, we'll be ordering more very soon!

Excellent and comfortable booster

As my twins were sizing out of their car seats that they were using for the past 5.5 years, this was a logical and safe purchase to make for our Volvo XC90. My kids love them.

My little rider really loves this seat. It was very easy to install and keeps my little one safe while traveling. My child enjoys the feeling of being more independent but also stated that she feels safer than being in a booster with no back.

This is our third stage with Chicco and they never disappoint. Good quality, safety ratings and good looking! We love the purple hues, a welcome change from years of black seats. I do appreciate the clear Tex option as well.

While the booster is easy to install and feels very sturdy. I have had this booster seat less then 1 month and the fabric is pilling. I don’t see the fabric lasting long which is disappointing.

This is straight forward, comfortable, great quality and my 6yo loves it. Especially love that the cup holders are actually big enough for her water bottles. Base is a little wide and sometimes hard for her to buckle herself, but usually not a problem.

We love this booster. Its lightweight, very easy to remove and install. Love the color. My only dislike is that the LATCH system is a few inches too long to fully tighten the booster into 2 different vehicles. Although this doesn't affect safety, its a bit annoying for the booster to be a little loose. Has never been an issue with ANY child car seat we have owned, including other Chicco seats.

This is my fourth chicco car seat, first booster. So far we love it just like all the other chiccos we have had! Daughter love the her big girl seat and loves the purple!

We have two of these boosters now. We bought one for our youngest child. Our oldest sat in her seat one day and said it was more comfortable than hers (which is a more expensive brand and only a year old). So we ended buying another kidfit.

I bought this booster seat as a gift for my friend's daughter's 5th birthday (she is 46 inches and 50 pounds). I wanted something that was nontoxic, which is specifically why I chose this seat over other brands. I considered a highback Graco booster seat. Even though it was less money (I found a great black Friday sale deal for one for $36), I decided to go with this one even though it was more money because Graco seats are all loaded with flame retardants. I hope that someday Chicco will make all their car seats flame retardant free. I really like that this seat has anchors to keep the booster seat in place. One improvement would be a clip to attach to the seat like car seats for younger kids have, but this not that big of a deal. Although, I really like the seat, as one other reviewer said, the color in the images looks a bit different than in real life. I got the Reef blue color. I expected it to have a bit of teal in it, but there is no hint of green/teal whatsoever. The colors are more muted in person. The lightest color for the headrest looks like a blue periwinkle color and I was expecting it to be closer to light teal (Note: it does not actually look purple, it is more of a blue periwinkle color). It is not that big deal and I still like it very much. I think that it was a great idea to have the color transition to being darker as you get closer to the lower part of the seat. This is where most car seats tend to get stained. I think that it would be a great idea for Chicco to continue to expand on the different colors offered. I think a seat with teal and seat with magenta colors could be very pretty. They also could offer a black or dark gray seat with ribbing that is colored like they have for some of their other lines.

We love how versatile this seat is! For shorter trips we use just the booster alone, but for longer trips it allows us to use the high back and our daughter can nap in it while having support!

We got this seat as a replacement for a previous purchased "Forever" car seat. We wanted something a little more purposes built for our fast-growing toddler! Setup is super simple, convenient and most importantly toolless! And I absolutely love the anchor system this seat uses, the LATCH system is fabulous if you plan on moving this Booster Seat between vehicles. The seat feels very well-built, nice and sturdy when installed. And it's very easy to clean, so far most messed just wipe right off! The cup holders pop out, so they can be washed right in the sink. Overall, we are very satisfied with this Booster Seat!

We are very pleased with this highbacked booster. Moving from a standard car seat to this booster was nice because of the ease of use. We also love that the seat has multiple cup holders. Its much lighter than the standard car seats which makes moving it from one vehicle to another a breeze. It has solid materials and we like the ability for it to convert to a standard booster as well. Very happy with our purchase!

This booster is exactly what we wanted. Our daughter is petite, but big enough for a booster now. We wanted a seat that she can continue to grow in and something she is comfortable sitting in. This booster has it all, multiple height settings and perfect belt positioning. I love the latch system and easy installation of this booster. Definitely recommend.

I purchased this particular booster seat because of the lack of unnecessary flame retardants as well as our satisfaction with our other Chicco seat, the MyFit harness and booster seat. I’ve been a Chicco fan since I bought a stroller for our granddaughter 15 years ago. Their attention to detail & safety is second to none.

I’ll admit I should’ve read the description of the color instead of going by the picture because the colors in the photos are not at all accurate. It wouldn’t have been a big deal if it was an easy exchange process but the Chicco rep sent back a color description to me basically saying “you messed up” instead of just making it right. Also had to pay $30+ for shipping and no longer got the discounted price I originally bought it at. So please make sure and read everything so that you don’t have to deal with the return process.

Easy to assemble, neutral colors, comfy for child. I've observed them resting their head on the side cushions quite a bit since I purchased the seat two weeks ago. Haven't tested the quick release latch yet, but it wasn't super easy to install (my vehicle latches are buried in the seat, so it could be more of an issue with my vehicle than the car seat)

So glad we landed on this booster. Kiddo was eager for a booster but I wanted to make sure she would be safe and not slip out when she fell asleep, and we didn't want one with a 3-point harness on it (part of the whole point of moving to a booster). The reviews I read were right - the belt harness system is designed in a way to ensure she's properly secured. The latch system was incredibly easy click them in and pull the tabs. Our old car seat was never this easy and always involved annoying yanking to tighten.

Best booster! Fits in the sedan and mini van! 5 year old loves it!

My 7-year old was thrilled to put this together and install it in the car with minimal help. We did check it of course, and love how simple it is.

We ordered 2 of these for a new vehicle and I love the width and the lightweight nature for a high back booster. It also easily converts to regular booster for growing kids. We have had issues in the past with the seatbelt guide at the shoulder but the kids seem to be navigating using this new seat independently better than before.

The seat it self is great. Love the blue color and how sturdy this booster seems compared to other brands. Installation was pretty easy. My only issue is I found out I can't use the seat properly in my Nissan because it doesn't have removable head rests and the booster seat can't get flush with the sheet. It's disappointing a great company such as Chicco has this issue.

My husband and are grandparents and we like having a booster seat available for our grandchildren when they are visiting or when we are babysitting for the day or the weekend. This way, we don't have to switch seats in and out of cars. The seat is well made. Durable. Easy to assemble. The fabric will be easy to clean, too.

We just made the switch from our Chicco Convertible NextFit carseat to the KidFit 2-in-1 Booster and couldn’t be happier! We’ve always loved the Chicco brand and this product is no different. While we could’ve used the NextFit a little longer, my daughter was anxious to switch to the booster like the “big kids” and use a shoulder belt vs the harness. The seat is sturdy, yet lightweight, comfortable, and easy to install using the LATCH system. I especially appreciate how easily the height can be adjusted, which is perfect when the kids swap seats- the height can be adjusted to 10 different levels with just one hand! My daughter loves that it has two cup holders. She’s using the back for now, but I like the versatility that it offers since it can convert to a backless model later. It easily reclines when the seat of the car reclines to offer more comfort for longer trips. An added bonus is the Greenguard Gold certification. I would highly recommend this booster because it is long lasting with its 2 step capability to be first used as a highback booster and then convert into a regular booster seat. The material is comfortable and easy to remove for cleaning to help with extended use. The KidFit Chicco booster is a great pick for booster seating. The assembly was easy and fast. The padding is comfortable for my five year old. The adjustable back allows for the seatbelt to be worn safely and securely for his height. I really like that it has two sided removable cup holders (will come in handy for cleaning and car seat arrangements). The arm rests are also padded which is an upgrade from standard boosters with just plastic rests. It has latch hooks like a regular car seat so that the booster will securely stay in place and not shift around like previous boosters we have had. Overall I am very pleased with this product, the safety features, and quality. I would recommend to others!

I have used chicco products from infancy to big kid! My daughter is 5 and we just switched her to the kidfit high back booster. I know she is in good hands with chicco! She fits perfectly and I love that she can buckle herself! I highly recommend chicco products!!
