The Maxi-Cosi Peri 180° Rotating Infant Car Seat is a rear-facing infant car seat designed for babies 4–30 lbs and up to 32 inches. It features a 180-degree rotating base (FlexiSpin) for easier loading and unloading, a weight of under 8 lbs (without canopy and inserts), and includes a stay-in-car base with LATCH, load leg, anti-rebound bar, and TensionFix red-to-green tension indicator. The seat uses PureCosi fabrics (free of wool and added flame retardants), has a QuikFit harness with one-hand adjustable headrest, ClimaFlow ventilation, and an expandable UPF 50 canopy; all cushions are machine washable. Note that installation may require practice and the seat must be adjusted to touch the front seat back in some vehicles.

I’m looking at the Maxi Cosi Peri 180. The swivel feature seems great for getting baby in and out, but I’ve read the manual says the car seat must be touching the back of the front seat. That seems like a pain, especially in a smaller car. Has anyone dealt with this?

I’m torn between the Nuna Pipa and Maxi Cosi Peri 180. The Peri is lighter and has the rotation, but I’ve heard installation is tricky and the tension thing doesn’t always work. The Nuna seems simpler but heavier.

We got the Peri 180 and the base install has been a nightmare. The TensionFix indicator says green but the base still moves. Also, you have to rotate it just to take the carrier out, which is annoying. Love the idea, but execution is lacking.

Maxi Cosi Peri vs Clek Liing on Buyingforbaby
Decided on the Peri 180 over the Clek Liing because of the rotation and weight. The Liing’s rigid LATCH is nice, but the Peri’s swivel really helps with our SUV. Installation took some practice, but now it’s solid.

Are Maxi Cosi and Nuna car seats worth the money on BabyBumpsCanada
I bought the Maxi Cosi Peri 180 for the swivel and the PureCosi fabrics. It works well but the base install with seatbelt was really hard. I almost returned it. Nuna Pipa is plusher but no rotation. For the price, I expected a smoother install.
