Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate Review – or The Great Escape
It’s a fine gate for in a doorway or hallway but lord, I would never ever put it at the top of the stairs. I installed it with the pressure mounts at the top of the stairs—when my toddler yanked on it, the whole thing just popped out. I ended up hardware mounting it into the studs, which helped, but then the little door latch is so finicky. I can't open it with one hand while holding the baby.

Baby gates that don't make you want to smash them?
We bought the Regalo extra tall walk through gate for our stairs and the opening is 40 inches—doesn't fit. The 4-inch extender is too short, the 12-inch extender is too long. No other extensions available. I either have a 4-inch gap or have to return it. So frustrating. Also, pressure mounted on stairs is wobbly.
