My girlfriend loves this helmet. Great price too.
Kiddo loves this helmet and it looks sharp. Best color I've seen in the maroon.
Loved the brown one the color was beautiful!! Fit perfectly!
Fits my son great!
My son loved the color. He tried it in very cold temperatures and it kept his head warm in the lift. Recommended!
My high schooler loves this helmet; you cannot find any at this price and quality. We've bought helmets from Retrospec before, and they hold up very well. Had to upgrade since he grew and needed a bigger one. If you're still deciding, just buy it; at this price, you can buy 2 or 3 and still come out ahead.
Just as ordered. Thank you!
Great Helmet
I feel safe
This helmet fits well and feels great. Thankfully I haven't needed it yet but when I do I'm ready thanks to retrospect.
Ski Helmet
Product was as expected. Delivery was timely and the transaction was easy. I will purchase with this seller again.

Great helmets for for price. Great colors. Gets the job done!
it’s super cute style it just kinda sits on the forehead high so beware of that, but it does what it’s made for and that’s what matters!

Snowboard Helmet Comfy Fit/Not too snug
It was comfy fit and perfect size for me. I have not worn it out yet but looking forward to it this snowboard season!
Love it!
Love the fit and style, no gunna lie ended up hitting my head pretty good last weekend and felt totally fine!
super good!
this price was the cheapest i could find for what i was looking for and it's really great! i would definitely recommend! my head is about 22 1/2 inches (~57cm) and a medium fit perfectly. the nob in the back rotates and makes it tighter if needed. the sides keep your ears warm and i can place my ski goggles on top of the front if i want to take them off. the buckle that goes around your neck is adjustable and the there is a cover which makes it soft and its removable. i absolutely love this helmet!
Comfy and Cheap
So far so good. Comfortable helmet. Haven't taken a hit to it yet and hopefully will never find out but it feels solid.
Wooden faux ski helmet
Second time buying it first one got stolen LOL like the helmet would be nice if it was easier to put your pods in and the helmets a little bulky does the job and definitely can notice the helmet from a distance
Comfortable, warm, and reasonably priced
I bought this helmet so I could enjoy snowskating and snowboarding without risking damage to my precious dome. The adjustable sizing gives a cozy fit and keeps you warmer than most winter hats. One of the cheaper options out there, too. Follow the creed laid down by Wu Tang and protect yo neck!
great!
It works great!

Does the Retrospec Comstock helmet include MIPS or any other rotational-impact protection system?
No — this helmet does not include MIPS or any other rotational-impact protection system. It uses an ABS hard shell with an EPS impact-absorbing foam liner and meets EN 1077:2007 Class B for snow-sports impact protection.

What is the helmet's weight for each size (S, M, L) in grams or ounces?
We don’t have manufacturer-published, size-specific weights for the Comstock — Retrospec’s product page does not list weights. Most third‑party listings show the adult Comstock at about 1 lb (16 oz / ≈450 g), though a few sellers report higher values (≈1.3–1.5 lb / 590–680 g); so expect roughly 450–680 g depending on listing, but there’s no official S/M/L breakdown. Are the 10 vents adjustable or closable for very cold, windy conditions?
This helmet has 10 integrated vents for airflow, but those vents are fixed — there’s no built-in open/close (vent shut) mechanism listed in the Comstock’s features. For very cold, windy days use the removable fleece-lined ear muffs and the snug ErgoKnob fit to retain warmth. [1]
brand product page (features/specifications)
Do the removable fleece ear muffs include speaker pockets or otherwise support aftermarket Bluetooth audio pods?
No — the Comstock’s removable fleece-lined ear muffs are padded and hand-washable but do not include built-in speaker pockets or integrated audio; the official product page lists “padded, fleece covered earmuffs” and removable/washable earmuffs but does not mention speaker pockets or audio compatibility. Aftermarket “puck” speakers sometimes work with helmets, but fit and compatibility aren’t guaranteed for this model.

How well does the ErgoKnob fit-adjuster operate while wearing thick gloves — is the dial large/grippy enough to adjust on the hill?
This helmet uses an ErgoKnob one-handed twist dial so you can quickly dial in a snug fit on the hill; Retrospec lists an “ErgoKnob 2” dial-adjuster as the fit system. Independent reviews note the simple one-handed twist can be operated without removing gloves, so most riders find the dial large/grippy enough to adjust while wearing thick gloves [1][2].
Sources

Is the helmet profile ponytail/bun-friendly (a rear port or cutout) for riders with long hair?
We do not include a dedicated rear ponytail/bun port or cutout on the Retrospec Comstock — its features list (ErgoKnob fit dial, removable fleece ear muffs, 10 vents, etc.) does not show a ponytail opening. You can still wear a low ponytail or tuck a bun under the back edge of the helmet; check the sizing (S 52–55 cm, M 55–58 cm, L 59–62 cm) to help ensure comfort with long hair.
product_features / product_description
Are replacement liners, ear pads, or other spare parts (or their part numbers) available from Retrospec for this model?
We don’t publish replacement part numbers for the Comstock on this listing. Retrospec handles replacement parts on a case-by-case basis and asks customers to contact their support to check availability; their warranty can also repair or replace components at Retrospec’s discretion [1][2]. The Comstock’s fleece ear muffs are removable and hand-washable (they’re shown as removable on the product page) [3].

Besides EN 1077:2007 Class B (listed), does this helmet meet other standards such as ASTM F2040 or have CE/other labeling inside the shell?
We only list compliance with EN 1077:2007 Class B for the Comstock on the product page; ASTM F2040 or CE markings are not shown on the listing. If you already have the helmet, check the printed certification label inside the shell or on the packaging — any additional standards (ASTM, CE, etc.) would be shown there.
brand product page (Retrospec Comstock product page/specifications).
How does the sizing run in practice—do buyers typically choose their measured head circumference size, or is it recommended to size up/down for comfort with goggles/hat layers?
Choose the size that matches your measured head circumference (measure just above the ears): S 52–55 cm, M 55–58 cm, L 59–62 cm — the ErgoKnob dial lets you fine-tune the fit within each size. If your measurement is near the top of a size range or you plan to wear a thick beanie/liner, we recommend sizing up one size; goggles normally don’t require extra helmet space.
