Works great! Very kid friendly!
My now 11 month old loves this! We have had it for a few months now and he loved it from the get go. The weighted straw is perfect for getting the last drop out since it is so flexible and moves with the liquid. The handles come off for easy cleaning and are a great feature to have. I love that you can easily close it for on the go and no spills occur! The silicone straw has held up good, even with being chewed on, no tears or holes or anything. Also love that it easily comes completely apart for cleaning and to make sure everything gets cleaned out so no mold occurs! But if it does, the silicone makes for easy cleaning and everything comes off well.
Doesn’t work
Unfortunately my baby (13 months old) and I can’t get anything out of that bottle. I was checking it’s parts for any damages but all looks well. I don’t understand why it’s not working. There is absolutely no suction:( So frustrating and money spent for nothing
Was hard for us to keep clean
We recieved this to try for my newly 1 year old. She never took a bottle as she was breastfeeding. Design is interesting there are small parts/tube to clean which I'm not too fond of. Though it is a good cup for making sure the baby doesnt hold it wrong and suck air because with this cup water always comes up unless its empty. The outer sleeve would slip down a lot and needed fixed. My main issue with it is food would get stuck in all the crevices in the top flip part and the straw part was all stained within a few days making it appear dirty even when clean. This cup did get my baby used to a straw and she seemed to take well to it.
Life saver!
I received this product as a promotion. This has been a lifesaver. I’m always in my vehicle and the sippy bottle has saved many melt downs. My then 6 month old could easily hold the bottle because of the silicone handles and my LO could also easily sip out of the silicone straw. I love that the parts for the straw are all silicone and easy to wash. This product is great and simple for baby to use! I also would caution not to shake the bottle or mix formula in the bottle. The straw part in the bottle can hold milk and then you’ll have leak. Other than that it’s a great product and definitely a life saver!
Good design
Used this sippy after trying a few others. I was hopeful with the straw but the suction was too strong. Baby could not get water out. He got frustrated and just kept throwing it. It does have a good design. The handles make it easy to hold and it comes apart efficiently to clean.
Easy Straw Cup!
I was gifted this by Dr. Brown's for my honest review. This straw cup is pretty great. We're still working on fully figuring out how straws work, but I see our babe totally growing into loving this. I love how easy it is to clean, and that the parts can be used with other Dr. Brown's bottes, as we have many! Additionally, the weighted straw seems to be very helpful in making sure babe still gets water when tipping the bottle, and I've turned this thing all around and upside down, and it's next to completely leak proof. Overall, definitely a good first straw cup transitional item.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CUP!
I absolutely love this cup! My son has had a hard time with straws, or any and most sippy cups until this one! After 3-4 tries, he got the hang of it and loves it! I always have my Yeti cup with a straw with me, drinking water and he always tries to drink out of it... well now he feels cool with his own straw cup so he can drink water like mommy! The handles are great for tiny hands, the straw seems to be perfect, my son isn't taking huge gulps that leave him coughing. By far the best sippy cup we've tried, and we've definitely tried a few. I can't wait to get more for my son!
Loved this for my 6.5 month old!
I was a bit skeptical at first about my little little guy sipping from a straw. We had tried a different brand straw cup when he had just turned 6 months and it was a disaster, but I figured I would give it another shot. I am so glad that I did! This cup had the perfect grip for him, and the straw was soft and chewy which he absolutely loved. The softness did not intimidate him and made it easy for him to suck on. Also, I threw this in the diaper bag for a trip to grandma's and it did not leak at all! Huge fans! I will be purchasing 1 or 2 more of these for sure!
Weighted Straw
I was trying to transition my daughter from the bottle to the cup and I had tried different cups but she wasn’t interested until we received this sippy straw bottle with handles. The straw is neat because it’s soft enough to bend and be flexible. However the straw is also weighted which allows for more suction and not having to try to move the straw around to get the last drop. It’s a simple design that is useful in transitioning from bottle to straw/cup!
Baby's first sippy
I was skeptical because my 6 month old hadn't yet tried any types of sippy cups or bottles and I wondered if he would be able to get the hang of it so soon. It took a few days but he was able to effectively start drinking out of the straw. He already uses the Dr. Brown bottles but normally we use formula/breastmilk and the method is to tip upside down and the milk to flow out so the technique to suck on the straw took a few tries but he got it. I also tried a few other style sippys and he seems to be able to use this straw bottle the best.
Great Transition Cup
I received this cup as part of a promotion. My daughter was struggling to transition from a bottle, but took to this cup after only a couple tries. Since the cup looks similar to a bottle, my daughter did not reject it like she had done with other sippy cups. The straw is easy to sip from and my daughter did not have any problems. The straw and weight are easy to clean since it's made into once piece. When she throws it, the cup does leak the milk that was in the straw but a smaller mess compared to other straw cups that I have used.
6 month old latched on easily!
I received this for free as a volunteer product tester and was so glad to already have a sippy cup we can use when we take bottles away! I think it's the flat shape of the straw that made it easy for him. My babies aren't very independent about bottles (not tipping them up to get the milk out themselves) so I love to switch to a straw cup after 1 year and this one is great! The handles helped him hold it himself. It does leak a little when slammed around but we only used it for water so it wasn't an issue.
It leaks
Bought this and was super happy because my girl transitioned like a breeze...but got super disappointed soon when it started leaking in my bag... even if there is only 3oz milk...and is upright all the time....it will still leak.
Loved this Sippy
We’ve been using the sippy bottle for a month now and we love it. My baby is 6 1/2 months. I am exclusively breastfeeding him. No one likes to watch him when I’m gone because he refuses to drink from normal bottles. Well we decided to give this one a try and after playing with it for a little bit be figured out how to suck from the straw. He loves it. He can even hold it himself. I feel like we skipped the actual bottle stage which is nice. Also I love that it won’t spill. Definitely a plus!
Best Sippy Cup! A must-have!
This product has done a ton to help my son transition to sippy cups. I have tried other brands but no luck. The color and handle were attractive so when I introduced it to my son, he easily picks it up. He learned holding the handle quickly and sip on it. It is also easy to clean as a small brush comes with it. I love this product so much and Im happy to see my son unlocking another milestone! Thank you so much Dr Brown’s! It shows that all your products are well-thought and tested.
Works as intended
Not only did my daughter really enjoy this, I did as a mom. The bottle design I really enjoyed the handles. I'm bottles that handle is only like 1/2 handle and is easy to slip but I like the fact that this is a full attached handle. The bottle is extremely easy to clean and fill. I also enjoyed the nipple on it and it was very easy to take off and clean, and my daughter had no issue drinking from it. I will definitely be by more of these has become quickly my daughter's favorite.
Great Product! Easy to Clean!
I received this bottle about a month ago. My baby is almost 9 months old and unfortunately was unable to get the straw concept down. I did let him play with the bottle though. The handles fit perfectly in his little hands. He was able to hold the bottle up and he attempted to use the straw. Once he gets the concept down, I can tell he’s going to love it! As a second time mom, I know this bottle is going to be awesome! I wish this was around when my daughter was a baby. I absolutely love the design of this bottle. Right now my son would rather sit up and observe what’s going on around him vs laying down to eat. This bottle is going to allow him to do just that and eat at the same time. This bottle is super easy to clean! The bottle breaks down nicely and it comes with a super handy brush to clean the straw.
Not consistent
I got these straw cups for my daughter, who recently moved to the toddler room and every single time I go, and I pick her up. Her bottle is pretty much filled to the brim with water simply because the suction on the straw continues not to work. I’ve done everything in my power to make sure that it’s connected every single morning I push the straw in as hard as I can into the top and take a sip. It works for me, but it seems like a soon as she moves it or does anything out of the ordinary with it it disconnects it’s very frustrating. My daughter is not getting the water. She needs at school. Definitely moving to a new cup. I definitely wanted to love these they are so cute. I love the handles on the side love to design and I love everything about them but the suction absolutely sucks. Please get something else.
This is a great sippy bottle
I love this bottle and the fact that it can survive so much damage and destruction from my one-year old. My daughter likes to drop it on the floor and it doesn't show any wear and tear. And it doesn't leak either if it's turned upside down and the top is open. I would definitely buy more of these if it came in different colors. And the silicon holder that goes around the bottle is easy for my little girl to hold herself if she wants to drink from it unassisted. 5/5 stars
Our Favorite next step from regular bottle
My baby is 8 months, we have introduced/tried out some sippy cups and even the Dr. Browns sippy with hard mouth piece, but we found that this sippy straw bottle works great! Our babe seems to like the soft straw and uses the handles. I will say she gets surprised when milk comes out faster but this bottle has worked well. I like the part inside that moves with the flow and amount of liquid inside and that it comes apart for easy cleaning. I also like the retractable lid.
Amazing features!
I received this product to an honest review and I have to say of all the sippy cups with straw Ive tries to get him to use he just wouldn't take to them. I gave him this one with some water and he took right to. I do believe its the transition look from the bottle he normally uses just with a straw now and he really loves that! Not to much to accept in change too soon. I love the color, look, and design. The cap is just another amazing feature so no mess or spills.
Love this, but need replacements!
We love this cup! Our son has Down syndrome and this was his cup we used to get away from the bottle. He currently is on level 3 thickener and his doctors only want him using this cup, as this is what he’s used to and does not aspirate with it. The really frustrating thing is that there are no replacement parts and haven’t been for a long time!! I’d much rather buy replacement parts than collect a ton of the cups!! Please, please please! Make replacement parts!!
Perfect for transitioning to straws!
The Milestones Sippy Straw helped my child learn to drink from a straw super easily! It was a smooth transition from the bottle due to its bottle like appearance, soft flexible straw, and handles. Cleaning is easy being able to toss in the dishwasher and compared to other similar products, the silicone straw breaks up into smaller pieces allowing it to be cleaned efficiently. I like how the straw is translucent allowing any concerns of mold to subside.
Easy to hol
The sippy straw bottle is great to teach my 11 month old how to hold a cup. The shape of the handles allow him to easily grab and keep holding onto the cup. At 11 months he is not all the way there for sucking out of the straw, but he had lots of practice and can tip it to get some out so he is getting lots of practice and it will make for a smooth transition! Also when he does tip it over it doesn't come rushing out and spill.
Cute and convenient
This straw cup is so cute, I got the blue one with the fox and it’s perfect for little boy. The straw is much more convenient than just silly cup, at least for my baby. He learns how to drink faster and less spills. Also it’s pretty light which makes it easy to o hold for my son. Easy to wash and maintain, overall great quality. It’s super comfortable when we’re on the go and he needs to refresh his throat. I love it!
Easy Sips For My Baby Boy!
I tried this sippy bottle with my 9 month old and he absolutely loves it. He likes it so much that he wants to hold on to it all day. We had tried other brands cups with failed attempts. This is so easy for him to hold and he is able to sip with it perfectly on his own. The anti spill functionality makes it ideal for when he throws it around. I plan to get more to be able to have access for more of his drinks.
Loves it.
My little one picked up drinking from this SO quickly. I love that in doesn’t have the “bite” straw or allow him to tip all the way upside down to drink as both are not great for oral development. The kid doesn’t pop off w every throw as with other brands. It’s so easy to clean too! I just wish it came as just the top in a 4 oz straw length I could use w the multiple existing options bottles we already have.
Great for Transitioning
Like other Dr. Brown's products, there are many pieces but it is very easy to take apart and clean! I like that the straw can be completely removed for cleaning, so that I can ensure every piece gets clean. I LOVE the handles, because they can be removed you can transfer them to another bottle while cleaning the original. The handles are super easy for baby to grab and hold onto, with 1 or both hands!
Great straw flow!
We received this to try out. Overall we like it and think that the flow of the straw is great for our 1 year old who still has trouble using regular straws. This one is slow enough that we don't have any spills. It's shaped a bit too much like a bottle for my tastes, especially since we've already moved away from bottles, but I think for a younger baby the shape would be helpful for transitioning.
Great Quality
We previously used Dr. Brown’s glass bottles for my infant and now that he has graduated from bottle nipples, we were looking for a straw cup and discovered this particular straw bottle from a brand we already trust. We had high expectations because of this and I’m happy to say that after using this bottle over a month, we are very pleased with the quality and most importantly, my baby loves it!
Great Sippy Straw Bottle
I love the way the bottle looks. And the fact that I can cover the straw with a built in covering for it is awesome! Unfortunately my daughter didn't like the bottle. She was teething and the straw didn't soothe her gums like a regular nipple on a bottle. But I will definitely try using it again when she's not teething because I like that I don't have to keep track of a cap for the bottle.
Manufacturing defects
I got this bottle from my local target. We had already gotten my son sippy cups with straws but he was struggling to learn how to drink from it and choked alot. Nothing serious just enough for us to start looking into easier ones. It looks like we might have gotten a defective one. The straw does not work. I gave it to my son and he couldn't drink from it at all. I thought it was because he didn't like it so I spent an hour denying a different bottle just to realize the thing doesn't work. I tried getting water out of it and mostly got air. I got the most pitiful droplets out. I had to sip so hard my cheeks hurt from 1 attempt. I can't figure out why it's not working. It has no directions to remove anything before use and when I washed it I saw nothing. I guess I should have gotten the hint when I was washing the straw and the brush refused to go through it. I had to clean from the weight side in.
Extremely hard to drink out of
I was hoping that this would be a great transition cup like everyone said. We use many cups with straws and my 9 month old does great with them, but this one is nearly impossible to sip from. I went through all of the trouble shooting steps and took the whole thing apart multiple times and it’s just way too hard. Maybe when he’s way older, but I’m really surprised by this.
I wanted to like it more than I actually did.
It’s a great concept, however, the 8oz bottle is long and is therefore difficult for an infant to sit upright in a high chair without hitting the tray. The straw pieces are also not compatible with the other straw cups made by Dr Brown, which would be helpful. I love the Dr Brown 9oz weighted straw cups and ended using these to continue straw drinking with my 7 month old.
Super easy to clean!
Love this cup. I'm a mom of two and being able to effectively clean the cups my kids are using is super important to me. My daughter has a truncated arm and can use this cup without getting frustrated! My other daughter loves it as well. The pieces dissemble easily to make sure you can clean all the parts perfectly! Did amazing in the dishwasher too! Plan on buying more!
Fantastic Bottle
I got this awesome bottle to test out for my 10 month old daughter and she really loved it. She was able to use the straw really well right away and she loved the handles on it so she could hold it really well. This is a great transition bottle for when you are trying to wean them off a regular bottle. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend it!
My seven month old loves it
My favorite part of this bottle is how easy it is to take it a part and clean it—if even comes with a small brush to get inside the straw. My son has mastered drinking from a straw and I think the fact that it’s weighted helps a ton. It’s easy for him to old with the handles and we actually have to pry it from his hands when he’s done because he likes holding it.
Love the spout
I love almost everything about this bottle, my only complaint is it's too tall for my baby to hold and drink while in his highchair I'm sure once he gets a little bigger he will be able to use it more. I love that you can use bottles you already have. The spout is great, no leaks and easy to use and clean. Great for going out since it easily fits in a diaper bag!
Love this cup.
This is by far my favorite bottle sippy straw. The baby is really excited to us it with the handles and has no problem with the straw coming straight from the bottle with a nipple. My only complaint is washing the parts. However I’m already used to lot of part washing with dr browns already. I definitely will be getting more of these type of bottle cups.
Amazing
Finally my son started to drink water, he’s 8 months and he couldn’t figure out how to use a sippy cup, so I tried this and because of the straw he started to drink much needed amount of water! It’s so easy to grab for him, hold and the design is cute. I like how easy it is to wash it and the size is perfect to put it in my diaper bag on the go.
Perfect transition
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. This is perfect for my little one. The bottle is familiar to her already and the handles make it easier for her little hands to grab and sip whenever she wants to. We had other sippy cups and she didn't really like them because she never used them. This one she grabs on her own and she's drinking twice the amount of water now.
Perfect Weighted Straw Transition
We love this weighted straw cup/bottle. My son is 7 months old and I was worried he wouldn’t know how to suck. He chewed on the straw a little the first time but figured it out quickly and drinks a good amount of water. I love the silicone handles, which can be removed and placed on other Dr. Brown bottles. I don’t find it hard to clean (since I’m already used to cleaning the many parts of Dr. Brown bottles!). It’s helpful that it’s the bottle shape so it fits perfectly with our other bottles in his diaper bag. When closed it doesn’t leak (and just drops leak when open). The straw and inside straw piece are all silicone. I plan on buying one or two more!
Perfect for Transitioning!
I love the Dr. Brown’s Milestones Sippy Straw Bottle for transitioning away from bottles. My little one picked right up on how to use it. She really loved the independence the handles gave her. I love that it has room for more ounces that younger babes would need. She even left it lying on the floor and threw it a few times with no leaks whatsoever! My daughter is 9 months old, but I think she could have mastered this even earlier. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone!
Nothing down
Very easy to use. My son has down syndrome and its easy for him to use as well. Other cups are not as easy to get stuff through the straw
Amazing product!
I received this from Dr. Brown in exchange for my honest opinion. I really liked this straw bottle. My baby loved it and the weighted end on the straw also helped if she tipped it up to drink it, the milk would still come out. The silicone grips on the side also made it very easy for her to drink out of and hold. The bottle is also very easy to clean, especially since it came with a tiny brush to help clean the straw. I definitely recommend this product!
My daughter loves it
My daughter was a breastfed baby and immediately took two straws right away didn't like any normal sippies or bottles so when I found this one she absolutely loves it. she calls it bobba and always wants this one. I love that I can put more fluid in it for her, it's easier for her to handle, and super easy to clean.
We absolutely LOVE this product
I was a little skeptical about using this straw bottle, because my daughter had never used a straw before. But she took to it INSTANTLY, and really loves it! We use it every single day. I especially love the way the bottom of the straw moves around so that if it's tilted they can still get the liquid out.
Love it
I bought this a week ago for my 8 month old. She wanted nothing to do with any other straw sippy I gave, but LOVES this one. We used dr browns from the start so it was probably just easier for her. I just wish they sold the straws and spout by theirself so I could just put them on the other bottles.
Great transition sippy bottle
Our little one is 7 months old and loves this for when he feeds himself! The handles make it easy for him to hold and tip on his own. The bottle itself is the same bottom as the Dr browns options bottle so it's familar to him and I love that I can swap bottle top or straw sippy top.
My 6 month old loves this
I was reluctant to use this at first as i read reviews that spoke negatively about the straw feature. Although i will say it takes a LOT of sucking for my daughter to get the liquid out, it's ok! She loves this bottle! It has helped her transition from bottle to straw.
My 9 month old loves it
As soon as I gave it to my son he used it right away! He loved the easy to grip handles and the straw doubles as a teether. Although there are many pieces to clean I found it easier to take apart than other straw cups on the market.
My daughter’s favorite bottle
This has become my daughter’s favorite bottle. She loves holding it and drinking her water. I love that it has a cap and can be closed. The bottle doesn’t spill. The handles come in handy and make it so easy for my baby to use.
No spill!
My 15 month old LOVES this! He carries it all over the house with him and has water while he plays. We also take it on hikes and walks with us. I love the click cap on top so we know it won’t spill in our packs.
Easy for baby to sip
The floating straw is so good and easy for baby to drink from. I give my son water or juice, he does not spill and drinks from his sippy straw bottle like a big boy
Amazing product
My baby absolutely loved this from the get go. It took her a couple tries to learn to drink from it but had it down in no time.
My son loves it
My son was 14 months when i got this and he absolutely loves it!
Infancy to Toddlerhood
We love this new Sippy Straw Bottle by Dr. Browns! This is a true infant to toddler option that grows with your child. You can swap the straw with a regular spout top, or with a regular bottle nipple. We also like that the handles can be taken off, or left on depending on the child’s preference. We like that the bottom of the straw has a lot of weight on it to make sure my little one can drink from any angle. This bottle is very easy to clean with the included straw brush. The top of the straw has a click to close feature, so it is guaranteed not to open in your bag! The straw itself is very soft, and pliable.
His first sippy bottle!
I got this about a month ago to start my son transferring cups and it was a great starter bottle for him learn with. Being his first sippy style bottle it initially took him about 5-6 minutes to learn how to suck using the straw but he finally caught on. I love that it’s spill-proof because my son loved to toss this bottle around and I didn’t have to worry about little puddles on my carpets. It is super easy to take apart to clean, all the little pieces disconnect so you can be sure to get everything clean. The straw on the inside of the bottle is weighted so whichever way the bottle is tilted they can still drink from it and gets into the very bottom to get every last sip out leaving no waste. Overall it was the perfect bottle for us to transition from his baby bottles to big boy sippy cups.
Nice features, but difficult to use!
I received this bottle as a sample to test from Dr. Brown's. This bottle is designed to be a transitional bottle for infants older than 6 months to learn how to eventually use a cup. My son is 10 months old and struggled to use the straw. I think the flexibility and softness was hard for him to grasp. He also is not very familiar with sucking from a straw as he normally used a regular bottle or sippy cup. The bottle itself has nice features such as silicone handles and a cover to protect the straw and prevent leaks when not in use. Overall, I like the bottle, it just didn't work well for us. Thank you for the opportunity to test and try this product.
Good intro to a straw
I have received this product as a tester. My two children have used this bottle. One who is differently abled used the straw very well as we are strengthening his suck, swallow routine in Speech Therapy. He did however, keep trying to suck as a bottle. My 8 month old loved it and got the hang quick.
Great concept, but doesn't quite work for a beginn
I love the look of the sippy straw bottle. The green color was perfect, the straw is the perfect width for a beginner and the silicone handles are great for holding. However, it is a training straw cup with a weighted straw and the straw didn't seem to move when the bottle was tipped upside down, I think the bottle is too skinny for it to move so it still stayed toward the bottom and my baby wasn't able to drink. I just wish the weighted straw worked better. Once my baby learns how to use it better and doesn't tip it as much I think we will go back to using it because I love it, just not great for a beginner.
Title is accurate
The weighted straw is too heavy for my 8 month old to sip water up with. She can drink through a regular straw but struggled with this one. An older baby/toddler would probably not have any issues using this cup.
Great straw bottle!
I received this product from Dr. Brown's to review. My 10mo is still learning how to use a straw, but he loves to play with the bottle. It's easy for him to handle and easy for me to breakdown and wash. It comes with a small brush so I can clean the straw easily. I love that it's all silicone because my teething baby likes to bite everything. I appreciate that it's spill-proof, and doesn't leave a mess when he (intentionally) drops it on the floor.
Great transition bottle!
My baby is easily able to hold this bottle with the silicone grip handles. He is very independent and he tries so hard to hold his bottles so the silicone handles are great! He's still working on transitioning from a bottle to a sippy cup and this is nice because if you already have the Dr. Brown's bottles the nipples and lid will fit on these as well!
Sip
Transitioning baby from bottle to sippy just got easier. The soft straw & easy to grab handles helps baby to sip from the bottle. The straw goes all the way into the bottle to get the very bottom of liquid. When it comes to cleaning easy to clean & take apart, even comes with a long straw scrub brush. Add your liquid & easy to close cap & toss in diaper bag, no leaks.
Finally a sippy bottle my daughter uses!!!
I am so happy my daughter is finally using the sippy bottle and loves the straw. She took to it like a fish to water. She’s drinking so much more water. The bottle it so well designed for travel too.
Amazing
To begin with, my baby like so much this Sippy straw bottle. This is a nice transition from bottle to sippy cup. He enjoys this bottle, especially because his regular milk bottle are from Dr Brown. I love that the straw is really soft because is made out of silicone. The handles are made of the material . This material is easy to clean and is safe for babies. You can remove the handles if your baby don’t need them anymore. you can also remove the straw to clean it with warm water. This is an amazing idea or trick to get your baby to learn how to use sippy cups or to even teach them to drink from straws. I thinks this is a must to have when you are transitioning your baby from bottle to sippy cups. I would really recommend this sippy straw bottle, it’s amazing.
Doesn’t work when held like a bottle.
It does not work when tipped up like a bottle. Baby could not get the hang of drinking it straight up and down. She seemed to get frustrated as you have to suck really hard to get any liquid. Also there are sooooo many parts to clean.
