Recommend all around!

Using as our primary bassinet and for travel/on the go! Baby and parents both love it! Highly recommend. Can’t beat the price for a quality item!!!

Great Product

Amyers

We bought the Karley Bassinet as we were traveling for an adoption and needed something easy to transport. This Bassinet did not disappoint and we even use it back at home. The zip up canopy is a nice feature as we have 2 cats and it keeps them out and gives us peace of mind while sleeping. Would definitely recommend the Karley Bassinet.

Watch Out For

mediumZipper noise can wake a sleeping baby if not opened slowly and carefully.
mediumThe bassinet sits low to the ground, making it hard to see baby from an adult bed and a potential hazard if pillows or blankets could fall in.
lowDespite the 25-pound weight limit, babies often outgrow it due to length or rolling milestones within 2–3 months.

Community Q&A

Is the mattress too thin?
The mattress is thin (about 1 inch) as is standard for safety, but some parents find it uncomfortable and may add a fitted sheet for extra softness, though aftermarket mattresses are not recommended due to safety risks.
How long can a baby use this bassinet?
Up to 25 lbs or until baby pushes up on hands/rolls, typically around 3–4 months, though some outgrow it lengthwise sooner.
Is it good for cats?
Yes, the dual zip canopy keeps cats out effectively, making it popular among pet owners.
Does it fold easily?
Yes, it folds compactly and is lightweight (12.4 lbs) for storage and travel.

Compared To

vs Halo Bassinest

The Halo Bassinest offers height adjustment and easier bedside access but has a lower weight limit (20 lbs) and is more expensive.

vs Other bassinets

The Karley's unique canopy is its standout feature; otherwise, similar to basic bassinets but with a firm mattress and portability benefits.

Source Threads

  • General opinions and experiences with the Karley bassinet

I bought this for my newborn and liked the canopy to keep my cat out. The mattress is thin but safe—you don't want to add extra padding. My baby slept fine on it. I also appreciated how easy it was to fold and bring to relatives' houses.

  • Recommendation for portable, budget bassinet in Canada

I got the Dream on Me Karley for its price and portability. It’s lightweight and folds up small, perfect for our small apartment. The canopy was a bonus to keep our dog’s nose out. No issues so far.

  • Positive review as a secondary bassinet

We use the Karley as a secondary bassinet in the living room. It’s easy to move around and folds away when not needed. The zipper is a bit loud, but I just open it slowly after baby is asleep.

  • Mixed feedback on mattress firmness and zipper noise

I liked the idea, but the mattress is super thin like a board. I ended up getting a thicker bassinet mattress, though I know it’s not recommended. Also, the zipper woke my baby a couple times. I wish it sat higher next to my bed.

  • Perfect solution for cat owners

We have two cats who love to jump into anything basket-shaped. The zip canopy on the Karley gives us so much peace of mind. We can sleep knowing the cats can’t get to the baby. Highly recommend for pet parents.

  • Comparison to Halo and weight limit concerns

I had the Karley but switched to the Halo Bassinest because it was too low and I couldn’t see the baby from bed. The 25lb weight limit is great, but my baby outgrew it lengthwise before hitting the weight max. It’s a solid budget pick but the Halo feels more secure and adjustable.
