Love the latch!
Great booster for the price. Love that it has the latches making it feel all the more secure.
The Booster Seat
Perfect booster seat Easy to install Fit our 6 year old grandson Seat belt went securely around him and fell across his chest perfectly No problem getting him in or out Great construct and will be easy to clean Highly recommend
Great seat.
Works out wonderfully for 6 yr old grandson who out grew car seat.
Nice seat, easy install
Nice seat and is easu to install and move ftlm car to car. Has the latch systen to keep it secure to the car.
Love the latch system!
Love it! So easy to install and is super comfortable and safe for my son. I love the latch system.
Good non-back booster seat
Good comfortable seat. I saw others with adjustable armrests which I would have loved on this model, but put preference on the LATCH system. I like the storage compartment on this seat, which is easily slid in and out. The seat belt alignment device is a bit confusing but my child isn't bothered by the seat belt position. Overall its a good seat.
Little one loves it.
Little one loves the seat likes one cup holder and a snack area.
Great booster seat
Easy to install and remove. My children think they are very comfortable. Also takes up a lot less room in the back seat. Only complaint is it is difficult to open the side compartment due to the seat cushion being in the way. Overall very pleased and would buy again.
Great booster with LATCH
Sturdy and a breeze to install. My daughter really likes the color, cup holders, and comfort.
So Easy
We love it! So easy to install & take out. My son even said it was so comfortable & like he was sitting in his cozy bed.
Secure, convenient and perfect for grandparent car
We purchased the Graco TurboBooster LX with LATCH for our 6-year-old granddaughter to use in our vehicle, and it has been a fantastic choice. Why we highly recommend it: The LATCH System: This is the best feature. Traditional boosters slide around, but this one anchors securely to the vehicle seat. It stays completely locked in place, even when she isn't riding with us. Easy Independence: Because the seat doesn't shift, our granddaughter can easily climb in and buckle herself up safely. Fun Storage: She loves the built-in cup holder and the little hideaway storage compartment for keeping small toys handy during our drives. Low Maintenance: The seat is lightweight if we ever need to move it, and the machine-washable cover makes cleanup a breeze. The cup holder is slightly shallow for large water bottles, but that is a very minor detail. Overall, it gives us incredible peace of mind and makes traveling with our granddaughter hassle-free. Highly recommend!
You’ll be sorry you didn’t!!!
I have been buying Graco products for the past 13 years and every single time I have been pleasantly surprised at the consistency of the quality and affordability of each and every product.
Booster works great
Great booster! Positioner works well, seat is comfortable
Graco Boosters are the best
Best backless booster on the market. I and my wife, and son and wife, and daughter and husband have owned 6. wouldn't ever own anything but Graco products
Great Booster Seat, Just Buy!!
Easy booster seat to use. Love the latch feature to secure the booster seat to the car seat. Very easy to move from one car to another.
Great features
My son loves his booster seat. His other Mom had the same one…. We always went with GRACO. They make good products and most of all…. SAFE
Grace XL booster seat
My grandson was very happy with his new booster seat. I like the fact that it latches to the back seat hooks. Makes it a lot safer. Not all booster seats have this feature.
Satisfied Customer
Easy to install, my child loves it.its comfortable for him on long trips.
GREAT!
Easy to install, love the latch so even when they are not in the car, the booster remains in place.
DOUBLE CHECK SEATBELT ADJUSTMENTS
The booster seat is great. HOWEVER make sure that your seatbelts can be adjusted. While my son is well within the height and weight requirements for a booster (he’s 7.5) he is NOT tall enough for where the seatbelt straps sit in our backseat. So please double check if your seatbelts can be adjusted otherwise your children will likely not be tall enough to be safe.
Need to improve seat cushion padding
Great product, seat has minimal padding. My granddaughter says it's too hard and uncomfortable
Small children need high back
Quality was really nice but I didn’t realize that my small big kid would need the high back booster vs just the booster. She falls in the weight for just the booster. I wish you could buy the high back separately but you can’t.
Great booster seat!
We used the Graco TurboBooster LX Backless Booster with LATCH and loved it! It was safe, easy to transfer and install in our vehicles, durable, and comfortable! I would definitely recommend this to others!
Other brands do it better.
We use a variety of booster seats for our large family, but needed to pick up an extra so got this on sale. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. It is functional-- it works as a booster seat for a decent price. But everything it does, it does cheaply: -It doesn't really try to hide the fact that its just a big hunk of plastic. Sure, there's a minimum amount of fabric covering/cushion, but it is very minimal, and the seat is just feels hard. -The LATCH clips are pretty primitive, and are of a design that most other seats have evolved past, due to their difficulty to unlatch in certain seat situations. -The seat has hard points on the bottom of it that dig in and tear up the seat of your car. The instructions specifically tell you to put a towel under the booster so damage doesn't occur to the car. No other car seat is like this, it's ridiculous, and makes it so I can't recommend.
Bought 2 and both missing cup holders
I bought these a month ago and finally got around to opening them to put in my car. However, neither have the cup holders. Everything else is there. Who do I contact?
Good Value
Overall, a decent booster seat that's got a smaller footprint than some competitor models due to it being a bit more narrow and having the sliding drawer (vs. a second cupholder) on one side allowing more space for a passenger stuck riding in the middle seat. Note: the fabric slip cover can make it challenging to open the drawer; my 8-year-old has some trouble opening in due to the fabric not allowing 100% clearance to it. Especially liked this model due to the latch system. The latches aren't quite as robust as our previous one that was part of a 3-in-1 system (this car seat is a replacement that will hopefully carry us through until our very tall 8-year-old no longer needs a booster seat in the next 6-12 months) but the seat feels secure when fastened to the backseat. More than decent for the $40 we paid for it.
Product missing cup holders
Bought 2 for each car and both were missing the cup holders. The sleeve for the cup holder is there but the actual sturdy cup holder to put inside the sleeve is missing. Is there a customer service team we can reach out to?
Booster
Compact, light, simple design. I’m very happy with this purchase !
Check seatbelt adjustment
Make sure your seatbelts can be adjusted otherwise this booster seat will NOT give your child the height requirement to safely wear a seatbelt.
Watch out for seatbelt height
The booster seat is great. HOWEVER make sure that your seatbelts can be adjusted. While my child is well within the height and weight requirements for a booster, they are NOT tall enough for where the seatbelt straps sit in our backseat. So please double check if your seatbelts can be adjusted otherwise your children will likely not be tall enough to be safe.
Not safe AT ALL.
There's literally nothing keeping your child from tipping over, even when you turn the corner. My child is 5, 50lbs, and 3ft and meets the qualifications for sitting in this. There's no straps to connect to the metal bars in your backseat
Reddit Insights
3 threads · r/CPST, r/Parenting, r/AskParentsReddit parents and CPSTs see the Graco TurboBooster/TurboBooster LX as a solid, versatile booster with backless conversion and latch-like attachment, but discuss confusion over its multiple versions and some practical issues around parts and configuration.
Mentions of the TurboBooster/TurboBooster LX are generally favorable (narrow, versatile, long‑lasting, convenient latch‑style attachment) with no major complaints about safety or comfort; the only negatives are confusion over model variants and difficulty swapping a headrest/foam part, which tempers but does not overturn the overall positive view.
Themes
Use Cases
- Using a narrow TurboBooster variant to fit three kids across a back seat alongside slim convertible seats
- Keeping a child in the same booster for years by starting with a high‑back TurboBooster and later removing the back for backless mode
- Using latch/UAS attachment to keep the booster from moving around in the car when not occupied
Watch Out For
Community Q&A
- Which TurboBooster version is actually narrow enough for three‑across seating?
- CPSTs indicate the TurboBooster 2.0 with slide‑in cupholders is the narrow version; other labeled variants like Turbo/Turbo LX/Turbo Stretch are wider and less suited to tight three‑across installs.
- Can the TurboBooster back be removed to use it as a backless booster and does it secure to the car?
- One parent reports using a Graco Turbobooster whose back can be removed for backless mode and whose base can be secured with the vehicle’s latch/UAS system, keeping it from swinging around when not in use.
- How do I replace or remove the TurboBooster headrest to swap foam?
- In practice, users find the headrest does not detach easily despite guidance suggesting it should; the consensus solution is to contact Graco again for specific instructions or a proper replacement rather than improvising with off‑brand foam or forcing disassembly.
Compared To
vs Peg Perego Flex / Peg Perego HBB
CPSTs suggest Peg Perego Flex/HBB as similarly narrow alternatives but note they are more expensive, making TurboBooster a more budget‑friendly narrow choice.
vs Chicco KidFit
A parent shopping for a high‑back booster considers both Chicco KidFit and Graco TurboBooster LX, viewing them as comparable options with narrower bases to improve self‑buckling in a tight vehicle setup.
Source Threads
CPSTs clarify that only the TurboBooster 2.0 with slide‑in cupholders is slim while Turbo/Turbo LX/Turbo Stretch are wider
In r/CPST, an OP asks whether the Turbobooster LX is much wider than the Turbobooster 2.0 and notes confusion over the multiple TurboBooster versions when they need a slim high‑back booster for three‑across. A CPST replies that the Graco Turbobooster 2.0, Peg Perego Flex, and Peg Perego HBB are the narrow options, and explicitly states that the Turbo, Turbo LX, and Turbo Stretch models are all wider. Another commenter advises choosing the TurboBooster version with cupholders that slide in on both sides to keep the seat narrow enough for three‑across installation.

Parent cross‑shops Chicco KidFit and Graco TurboBooster LX for narrow high‑back booster with self‑buckling and latch‑style stability
In r/Parenting, a parent replacing old seats in a tight vehicle setup asks for experiences with the Chicco KidFit and the Graco TurboBooster LX, noting both have a narrower base than their current seat and may let their child buckle independently. In the comments of a related booster‑seat discussion in r/AskParents, another parent reports using a Graco Turbobooster for their six‑year‑old, praising that the back can be removed later for backless mode and saying they like that the seat itself can be secured using the vehicle’s UAS/latch system so it doesn’t swing around when not occupied.

General backless booster discussion with no specific TurboBooster LX details
A r/Parenting thread titled “Backless booster” discusses when to move children to backless boosters and considerations like age, maturity, and local regulations. The conversation remains generic and does not mention the Graco TurboBooster LX, its latch feature, or specifics of the TurboBooster product line, so it provides no direct product‑specific insight beyond indicating that backless boosters are common for older, more mature kids.

AskParents thread where a Graco Turbobooster is recommended for a 6‑year‑old, highlighting backless conversion and latch/UAS attachment
In r/AskParents, someone asks what booster to get for their five‑year‑old. Among various answers, a commenter says their six‑year‑old uses the Graco Turbobooster and that they like it because the back can come off when the child is big enough, and because they can secure the seat in the car using the UAS system so it doesn’t swing around when the child isn’t in it. This showcases the TurboBooster’s long‑term usability as a high‑back that converts to backless, and its ability to latch to the vehicle for added stability.

Discussion of high‑back vs backless boosters without specific mention of TurboBooster LX
A r/Parenting thread titled “Booster with back VS booster without back” debates the pros and cons of high‑back versus backless boosters—mainly support when sleeping, belt positioning, and age/maturity guidelines. The thread does not mention the Graco TurboBooster LX or other TurboBooster variants by name, so it provides only broad context that children often start in high‑back boosters and later move to backless models once they are older and can sit correctly.

CPST thread about replacing Graco Turbobooster headrest foam and difficulty removing the headrest
In r/CPST, a user posts photos of a Graco turbobooster and explains that Graco sent them a new styrofoam headrest piece that is not glued, but they cannot figure out how to remove the old headrest and ask if they can just switch the foam. A responder asks if they mean taking it apart into backless mode; the OP replies that support said the headrest would come off but it will not. Another commenter notes that the headrest definitely doesn’t come off and advises against using random foam from the internet, recommending getting a proper replacement and, per another reply, calling Graco again to clarify how to proceed properly.
