I bought this as my little one just started crawling and he goes to all the places where he is not supposed to go. I have an open kitchen and that is the place he wants to go most of the time. I must say that this gate was easy to instal and sturdy too. He now holds on this gate and stands and the best part is that this gate doesn't come off or falls. It is strong to give that support. Would recommend if you have small babies at home to protect them.

I have a big dog I\'m working with to reduce separation anxiety and she can\'t pull this gate down from the doorway. The previous one was not strong enough and she could yank it down after a few pulls. Also, this one will lock on its own when it swings shut which is a bigger convenience than I realized.Seriously, it\'s worth the price.

I purchased this with hopes that it would solve our need to let cat go downstairs and keep dog upstairs. Gate not as wide as expected. I need another extension. I tried to contact company (manufacturer), email required. I have not heard back from the company.Update: I called Amazom customer service and received excellent service. They provided everything I needed the next day! Excellent! Thank you!!!!

It was easy to set up, it fits a wide range of doors. It keeps the dogs in with me and the cats come in and out as they please. Very sturdy and dependable.

We bought this to keep the dog out of the cats food and it works perfectly. Easy to open and close and we leave the smaller door open so the cats can come and go. Perfect solution.

Absolutely great. I would totally recommend this to anyone with dogs & cats or big & small dogs. Or small dogs & kids. You can let your little dog come & go & keep the toddler out of the space. We love it. We just have 2 large dogs & a few cats. We keep it in the doorway to the upstairs staircase. The cat box is upstairs so the cats can freely come & go with the smaller door & the dogs can be kept out if needed. I'm tempted to get another! We've had it a year & a ½ now & it's held up great. No rust or anything. The gate has an easy button you push down, then slide it over to open the gate. Not that easy if you have things in your hands but easier than some gates I've seen that actually take some effort to unlock. The cat door also locks with a spring latch. Both the big gate & the small cat door swing freely, no spring As some do that auto-close but you could add a Bungie cord if you wanted to. It opens either way for both doors. I like to close ours by putting my foot in the cat

I was worried about getting this assembled due to prior 10 page installation guides for other gates. This was SO easy! Could adjust to the opening I needed it for. Sturdy. Just all around a great gate!!

It successfully keeps my Labrador away from my kitty!!!

Perfect for my cat and keeping baby out of room

We use this on our back deck to gate in our dog. It's perfect for him. If I had to say one negative thing, there is a bar going across the bottom of the gate....we couldn't put the gate flush with the deck because of some molding on the rails...we had to lift it about 1/4 an inch over the molding to the flat part of the rail. So the bar lifted off the deck even slightly makes for a potential tripping hazard.

Needed a sturdy gate for pets, with door to allow human passage. This fits the bill Perfectly. Metal Construction, self closing gate, easy installation. From box to doorway in less than 15 minutes. Couldn't ask for more. Worth the price....

So far,so good. Easy installation .Best part is the little door for the cat to go through.Very pleased with this purchase. Would buy again. And I liked that the gate can go either way in and out. Same with cat door. Very functional .

Following the instructions made this super easy to install and it's pretty study too! I also love the fact that the door will stay open once it's opened all the way. This gate really exceeded my expectations.

Stays open when not needed. Self closes if not opened wide. Doesn't hurt door openings. Would not suggest using on drywall.

I wanted a heavier sturdy gate because we have a 56 lb puppy. This gate fit the bill. It is very heavy-duty, and well worth the slightly premium price. It also has a detent so it can be left open, or it auto-closes. Perfect!!

Got this baby gate to replace the one we had in our stairs as it broke. it can be installed easily took about 30 minutes to put it up together. Can be installed using an adhesive or screwed in. Extending to fit the stairway space perfectly. The door auto closes when is pushed and needs to be both pressed thru the knob and lifted to open which cant be easily done by our toddler son making it extra safe.

I have 3 gates from different brands, I had other 4 brands before and this is the best so far. Easy to install, the lock is actually double lock which makes harder for the kid to figure out, its wide enough for the hall or stairs.

The safety baby gate to my surprise was really good quality. It's sturdy and easy to set up. We put it on the top of stairs and it took less than ten minutes to set up! The little window is perfect for pets.

This gate is exactly what I was looking for. Great quality, light weight and easy to set up; took me less than five minutes. I have two dogs and the gate is perfect to keep them from going up stairs when we are not home. The gate open with ease and closes on its own. I own a few baby gates in the past but non of them last. Very nice baby gate. i was trying to find something for the stairs at my house. as you can see in the picture fits perfect. make sure you follow the instructions. overall very safe but of course will be 100% safe if you attached the gate to the wall. right now this works for me and I am very happy.

I have a plastic gate and it does not work so well and require 2 hand to open/slide the gate close and open. I give up on my current one and buy this new swing gate for my cat and it's working great. We have a standard hallway and this fit perfect. I like that it closes automatically so we don't have to check it. Best of all, it's pretty tall so it well definitely keep the jumping puppies from going down the hall. This gate has a small door so you can open to have your pet come through. It seems sturdy enough to put on the wall without any screws.

I have a 13 months old baby and our home is 2 story and we are tired of watching him try to claim the stair all day so I bought this safety gate to install it on stair way so son can't claim our stair way anymore. The gate arrived quickly and earlier than I expected, has good material and very sturdy since it metal not plastic gate. It also comes with detail instruction and show you how to install the gate for regular room or for stair way. Installation was very easy which took me 15 minutes to install and no tool needed. Hopefully it will last for a long time since my son is very active and he try to claim over the gate all day long. Highly recommended

I purchased this gate for my staircase in home as I have toddler at home. It's a very sturdy and heavy weight gate and it fits well with any width of the stairs with given attachments. It came nicely packed and in pristine condition. I am quite happy with the quality of the gate for the given price. If you have baby or toddler at home, I will highly recommend this gate compared to other wooden gates which can easily fall off. I am planning to buy another one for the other stair case.

I bought this so our baby would stop going into the kitchen and get the cat food all over the floor. One of our cats is overweight so she wasnt jumping well over our original old school wooden gate. I thought I could leave the little door open and the cats could go in and out as they please and keep the baby in, but nooooo. Baby is a pro at crawling in and out of the little door now lol. So the gate really doesn’t have much of a purpose but it’s really nice quality. Was easy to install and safe (no pinched fingers). If I really need to keep baby out of the kitchen I can close the littler door and it locks great. Overall great product, maybe they could make the little door smaller for smaller animals like cats.

My 60lb dog fits thru the pet door. Need smaller door to keep her out of cats room!

Excellent, well built gate. We have a 43 inch stairwell, but I was able to purchase wall protectors with extenders to give us the few extra inches we needed to make this 40.5 inch max gate work for us. We’re using this to keep our puppy downstairs until he’s better potty trained, but the pet door gives us some flexibility to let him come & go as he grows.

We have a Great Dane pup and we wanted to be able to gate him in the room with us at night but allow the cat and our old 13lb Pomeranian mix in and out of the bedroom when they want. The cat fits easily and the Pom has to duck a little but fits just fine. This allows us to keep the door open while either trapping the big pup in or out. Super sturdy. Love the auto close if not opened all the way and love how it looks! So far very sturdy and holding up well even from the Great Dane pawing it and shoving his head through the cat door

It was kind of annoying getting it in our doorway but we got it! We absolutely low it, we put it up in our laundry room doorway. I love how it is set up, it is so neat. Definitely toddler proof door!
