We purchased the baby gate moreso for our dogs than children! But regardless of its use, it's doing a fantastic job! It's a great sleek design and looks really good in the space. It's a clean and tidy setup and the fabric makes it look more elegant than the steel bar options!
I finally got to fitting
I finally got to fitting the gate. Great product, on the other hand, the bannister adaptor kit is overpriced rubbish. Looks like a 5 year old made it, rubbish timber with splits, that sure enough split further as soon as the screws went in. Had to bin it and screw straight to the bannister.
The bottom portion of the
The bottom portion of the screen is not as taunt as the top part which can allow a small dog to pass through.

Didn’t fit my stairs. So I tried to return it when I got back into the states from our vacation and they wouldn’t let us return it cause it’s 7 days past 30 days. And nonetheless it’s still in the boxes. My husband realized it wouldn’t work.

Permachild retractable gate sturdy for top of stairs with cat modification

They have a button that you need to turn on one side which allows the nylon to pull to the other side. ... It is screwed into the wall on the other side. ... My son is about 30lb and he leans on them frequently. They barely move, even when I press on them hard. ... I cut a hole in the nylon which the baby can't fit through but the cat can ... The hole even doesn't seem to have affected it's structural reliability.'
