Was great until it broke after 6 months
I bought this kit to use with our tension gate. It worked great for 6 months until the plastic piece on 2 of the bands broke. The company only offers a 90 day warranty on the products.
Fell Apart After a Few Months
This is a terrible "safety" product, it fell apart after a few months of use. The company only guarantees their product for only 90 days. If I am relying on a product for the safety of my child, I expect it to last longer than 3 months.

Banister attachment and gate work great together!
Works great with the gate its advertised with. Could be used with other screw in gates too I guess. The grips work well with my stairs and doesnt require specific banister types to work. Good purchase!

Personally I wouldn’t do pressure gate at the top of the stairs as they can push out of place really easily. And, for what it’s worth, our pressure gates did SIGNIFICANTLY more damage than the wall mounted ones, the wall mounts are a few holes, the pressure are large blister like dents. I’d get the banister kit and you drill into that, not the banister, anyways. The one I sent you does no damage to the banister. It has an attachment piece that wraps around it. Only drills into the wall.

I have these gates installed in openings with a variety of widths, and in my opinion, when using all of the... you will probably also want to use the wall-mount hardware, as you... but as my... a toddler, that then began putting... times, I just feel... with the wall-mount hardware installed.

I would get the summer infant banister to banister mount kit. Your issue will be how to attach your gate to it. 2 options: zip ties or, if your gate comes with the little screw caps, you can remove the cap and use a longer screw to go through the gate into the mount.
