I have a keyfit 30 from my 2020 baby and will reuse it this time around. I know someone with a keyfit 35 and it looks essentially the same. The keyfit 35 base can be used with a keyfit 30 carseat so you could always get a 35 base as an extra base if you find a good deal. But if you get a keyfit 35 carseat it CANNOT be used with a keyfit 30 base...

Keyfit 30 base installation issues with lock-off
I have the Key Fit 30 and generally am a fan except your critique is spot on. The lock offs don't work well to hold the seatbelt (though the latch install is great). No matter what I do, after a day the base feels loose. I'm also not a huge fan of how the canopy creaks, but functionally it's fine. While I've never used a Graco seat, if you are using a seatbelt install I'd probably prefer the Graco given your feedback.

I would get the keyfit 35 and then get a cruz stroller with the adaptors (or the chicco corso stroller) if it were me. I also regret not doing this. Try not to stress too much about strollers!

Keyfit 30 infant neck position concern
We have the keyfit 30 and my baby also looks to be in a C shape inside, but the CPST at the hospital said it was safe when we left the hospital so I haven't really worried about it. We also don't use the carseat outside of the car (except on the stroller) so he's never in it long.

Keyfit 35 recommended over Doona and Graco for safety and ease
We went with the Keyfit 35. My husband did an enormous amount of research and we looked up safety ratings from consumer reports, etc. I really wanted the Doona but he found out that it only scored fair for safety, whereas the Keyfit 30/35 both score extremely high. The Keyfit 35 also has rebound bar which adds extra safety. Its also extremely easy to install and uninstall. I wouldn't waste money on the Doona. We originally looked at the Graco Snugride 35 but found the fabric to be really rough and not plush compared to the Chicco.
