Does the Matchbox MX-5 Miata have the Tri-spoke wheel variation?
An early production run likely had Tri-spoke wheels, but most models have 5-spoke wheels.

vs Hot Wheels Mazda MX-5 Miata

  • Hot Wheels vs. Matchbox Mazda MX-5 Miata comparison

You can only compare them on style, because execution is spot on with both. And even then, style becomes a matter of personal preference. If you are really into drift, or like your cars modified, you would lean towards the Hot Wheels. If stock is your game, the Matchbox would be your choice.

  • Discussions on Matchbox ND RF die-cast models and their accuracy

The Matchbox one is decent, but the rear haunches are a bit off. It's still the best $1 ND you can get.

And for the record, Matchbox makes a pretty good ND model, better than Hot Wheels' drift version.

  • Confirmation of Tri-spoke wheel existence in early production

I don't think anyone ever did find that one. The MX-5 from 9 pack GVY62. Lovely colour. This is the 1st edition from 2016... An early production version fitted with MB Tri-Spoke wheels is thought to have been distributed but has not been confirmed.
