Not a lot for child to do.
It's really well made, and not easily breakable, which is good. But, not much for child to do. Maybe add music, or noisemakers.
WHAT A SURPRISE!!!
I received this engaging learning toy to sample from BuzzAgent and my daughter absolutely loves it!!! Most of her teaching toys uses batteries so Dad and I really appreciate that she can enjoy it for hours at a time. I definitely have to try more Melissa and Doug toys out for her. We're so grateful for the opportunity.
Love Melissa and Doug!
My daughter absolutely loves this product! The build quality is awesome and I feel like it will hold up well over time. I would highly recommend this product!
This toy is a lot of fun
The wooden work and play desk top by Melissa and Doug is a really great toy,my little one has so much fun playing with it,He carries the toy all around the house and loves the fact that the toy has things that make noise and allow him to make believe working. I love that this toy is very sturdy (as it has been dropped quite a few times and looks good as new.) I also love that this toy has no removable parts (nothing to get lost is always a plus!) Over all we are very happy with this toy!
Fun toy for little ones.
Melissa and Doug wooden work and play desktop is a good sensory and learning toy. My son loves the mirror and he also loves to name the shapes on the keyboard as he presses and feels them . He loves to spin the pencil and we play abc and one two three games. He loves flipping the cup open to pretend he is having tea.
Cute concept
It's a cute simple design. All though my child is 2 1/2 he got bored of it pretty quick, so definitely would recommend for younger children. But overall, it's well made, it has different motor skill options that are essential to your baby.
A fun busy board!
As a parent I appreciate the quality of this product. As someone who works from home who also has a lap desk, my daughter will sit next to me and 'work' too. Though simple it's a great little busy board!
Cute little toy
My son thought this toy was fun to play with. He loves flipping the cup from orange juice to hot chocolate. The laptop is fun to look at yourself in since it has a little mirror. I only wish the laptop buttons would play something. Or click to make it more fun for toddlers. My toddler did get bored after 10 min with it. But it is a cute little toy!
Multi-Game Desk
My 1 year old son loves this! It entertains him for quite a bit of time. He loves (I do too) that there are many different little activities for him to play. Im so grateful I was sent this for free for review, he loves it so much!
Great product
I was sent this item in exchange for my honest review. At first when I got this I thought it would be too young for my son (2.5) but he loves it. He pretends like it's a real computer and carries it around with him. This toy does not require batteries but does make noise. There is a roller that rattles and the mouse makes a grinding (meant to) noise. It's very sturdy as well.
His own Work area!
I work from home and my son always wants to 'work' with me. This ended up being a perfect option while still allowing me to keep my own mouse! He puts it right beside my computer on the desk and we 'work' together. I love that it's so compact.
Woow
Amazing kids toy my baby girl loves to play with it and more importantly it also a learning product for them as well! Super grateful.
Not what I expected (in a good way)
Concerned at first since there was no lights/music my son would lose interest. He loves it! "Working" on the laptop is his fav!!
My daughter loves this product!
As soon as I took this out of the package, my daughter has been playing with it nonstop! It is super durable and made out of great materials. I love the idea of all the toys on the board and have enjoyed watching my daughter explore new ways to play with it.
Toddlers new fav
My 18 month old absolutely loves this desktop! I was admittedly skeptical at first as I figured it may not keep her attention but I was completely wrong. She carries it around with her all the time. The only downside is that, since it's real wood it's pretty heavy. She's thrown it a couple of times, but it's very durable and we've had no issues due to that.
Interactive and quality built
I found this to be a high quality product just like all Melissa and Doug toys. The toy is structurally made well, as well as, being bright and colorful. Interactive, but simple enough to allow for imaginative play. Great toy!
I love this Woodwn Work and Play Desktop
First off I love how there is so much sensory things for my baby to do with this. i love how great quality it is and it's wood so will last a long time. I love that you can bring it anywhere places to go or even car rides. My son's favorite toy right now hasn't stopped playing with this since receiving it.
A cute wooden toy!
My child just recently turned a year old and he really likes this toy! As a parent I like that there are no removable pieces and everything stays connected as one. I love the look of wooden toys and the quality of this toy is great. It's so cute that he can be like me on his "laptop" while I work on mine. He loves to open and close the laptop and look at himself in the mirror. I would definitely recommend this toy - it's unique, well made, and keeps my child entertained.
Fun
My son loves this little work station! It is great quality.
Great Motor Skills
My 18 month old son was super excited when I opened this up! The functions on it definitely let him use his motor skills, including pushing buttons, flipping over lid, pushing and pulling, etc. I wish this had a material on the bottom or suction cups to help keep in place. He kept sliding it all over, making it hard at times to use.
Would surely recommend this product.
This product is good go for the working parents. Moms who work from home, this helps keep the little ones busy with this pretend play work desk. It's sturdy and good quality. But I wish it would have been nice if they also added something to back of the desk to help keep it in place, because when we use mouse it moves, we have to hold it with one hand and move the mouse. But overall it's a good product.
As a parent cute toy as an educator what a gem!
My 17 month old daughter was excited to go to "work". Right away she started playing with all of different toys on the desk and knew just what to do. She particularly liked the mouse and the clicking noise it made. I just leave this toy out of the floor and she will often go over to and play with it for a while. As a parent, I find it cute and as an early childhood educator I find this toy to be a gem! There are so many talking points and vocabulary opportunities with this toy. I find that when my daughter and I are "working" together with this toy she spends a longer amount of time with it. Take note that the back of the box also provides amble ideas of how to use this toy as a learning tool. This toy was very well thought out and made very well. I have no concerns about small pieces etc. I do wish my daughter had this toy earlier on. She is 17 months now and I feel like she is coming to the end of finding this toy entertaining. They do suggest 12 months plus but I think in order to get some longevity out of the toy... If your child can sit up they can find some enjoyment out of this toy.
It's made very well and my child loves it i
We use this product to help teach her new things and made very well and I would definitely buy more product for this brand
Great montessori
My son loves this product! It has a few different interactive parts that have fun noises when they move. He likes to name the letters and number printed on it, and he feels like it's his own little laptop set up like mommy's :). I love that the inner part of the "computer" is soft and textured with different shapes as well! The only thing I would change that would make this a 5 star product would be to add more sensory to the shapes keys. I would like if they were actual buttons or at least made a sound or a physical response to being pushed. All around I would give this a 9.5 it's not too heavy and is great for pretend play!
I would love to buy this again
My daughter loves it for the sensory effect and the fact its a new toy its an exceptional product i would recommend for any toddler. My daughter has played with it since it has arrived.
Telecommuting isn't usually this fun!
This was a welcome, engaging toy for my child. We didn't need batteries for a wonderful, fun-filled time!
It's a gift!
It looks great! I gifted it to my grandaughter and she loves it!
Fun busy box toy well made
Our granddaughter loves to “work” next to her mama and daddy. She goes and grabs it whenever she sees her parents get their computers.
Great for early learners.
Our grand baby wants to mess with the computer when someone is using it. So thought they needed their own.
Love the long-lasting play potential
My 9-month old baby loves to flip up the laptop and stare at herself in the mirror! very high quality--i like that all the pieces are attached so I don't have to worry about assembling anything. she loves to flip the coffee and I love how to little people makes a rattle noise as well. I'm sure as she gets older she'll continue to discover new things on it and be able to move the mouse (she hasn't quite figured that one out yet!) and play pretend when she's a little older!
Useless
This toy is totally useless not worth it my baby does not wants to play with it
Boring for my 12 month old
I bought this a few months ago when my son was 12 months old. He’s the type of kid who is easily entertained and loves every toy I give him, but this only held his attention for like… a minute. It’s been a few months and he never, EVER plays with it. It just doesn’t really do anything, it’s boring. Wish I had used the money for something else.
Cute but seems best for 12 mos and under
I wish this “did more.” The buttons don’t do anything, or make any noises. It’s cute but not much kids can really do with. It would be better if cup or pencil were removable. My 18 month old granddaughter is too old for it.

Melissa & Doug toys worth it for young toddlers but not beyond 2
I find M&D toys are really solid for the 12mo - 2 year range. The wooden ones hold up great. The desktop activity board was a hit for a few months but by 2 my son was over it. It's very simple. If you can get it on sale, it's worth it, but don't expect it to last years.

Melissa & Doug preferred for non-battery, durable wooden toys
I love M&D because they are mostly wood, no obnoxious lights and sounds. My son has the desktop board and it’s one of the few toys that doesn’t drive me nuts. It’s quiet, durable, and he loves pretending to work like daddy.

Great portable activity board for realistic play
We got this for a plane trip and it was a lifesaver. No pieces to drop, fits in a diaper bag, and my 15mo played with it for a solid 30 minutes. She loves the mirror and the rolling ball. Would recommend for travel or restaurants.

Toddlers love the 'laptop' but outgrow it quickly
My 2.5 year old still pulls out the M&D desktop board sometimes, but she’s mostly over it. She loved it from 1-2 though. Now she wants a real keyboard. It’s cute but I wish it had more functions like removable pieces or different sounds.
