Simmons Kids By The Bed City Sleeper Twin Bassinet (Grey Tweed)
The Simmons Kids By The Bed City Sleeper Twin Bassinet (Grey Tweed) is a bedside bassinet designed for twins, featuring two separate sleeping areas, breathable mesh sides, five adjustable height positions, and built-in storage pockets. It includes a 1-inch mattress with removable, machine-washable sheets and smooth-rolling wheels for mobility, but users note the 30-inch width may not fit through standard doorways and wheels perform poorly on carpet. This floor-model unit may show light cosmetic wear and is missing the manual; babies typically outgrow the bassinet by 2-3 months despite a 5-month recommendation.

Fits our crazy life
We have a toddler AND twins. This bassinet makes nights manageable because the twins are contained and safe, freeing me up to handle the older one too
Better than I expected
I thought this would be bulky, but the slim base slides right under our bed. Super practical in our small space
No more guesswork
I used to get up 20 times to make sure they were okay. Now with the mesh and the closeness, I just peek over and go right back to sleep
Nap time win
Sometimes, I roll it to the kitchen while I cook. They nap in it, and I keep an eye on them. Makes me feel human again to multitask safely
One baby was fussy, one slept
I had one twin who cried non stop and one who slept through everything. Having them side by side but separate saved us, no one was waking the other
The wheels are everything
Moving this bassinet to the living room during the day has been so handy. It’s light enough to roll but sturdy enough to feel safe
Keeps them close, but safe
I wanted to co sleep but was nervous about safety. This was the perfect solution, close enough for comfort but separate for safety.
It saved me weeks of pain
Seriously, don’t try lifting babies from across the room when you’re healing. This bassinet next to my bed saved me weeks of pain.
Twin mom hack
I put a sound machine between them in the bassinet and it helps soothe them both. This setup has been magic
Game changer for bottle feeding
At 1 am, I can roll over, grab a baby, feed, burp, lay them back down, then repeat with the second. Efficient and way less stressful

Overall sentiment leans positive regarding its concept and convenience for newborns, but common criticisms about short usable lifespan and wheel functionality result in mixed feelings.

Bassinet/bedside sleeper recommendations
I have the Simmons twin city sleeper & love it! Mesh siding, 5 adjustable heights to fit bed, wheels, storage, & enough space for 2 babes. Advertised for 5 months but def won't last that long. My bigger twin outgrew it by 3 months. I give it a 5/10. It's great for newborn stage, but once they start moving, it's too small. Wheels are useless on carpet, and it's a pain to move through doors. But it's good for the price compared to the Halo.

Bassinet help!
I really like the look of the Delta Simmons twin bassinet. It's priced well and has good reviews. My only concern is that it doesn't seem very big. Will my twins outgrow it before 4 months? I love that it slides under the bed and has adjustable heights. I looked at the Halo but it's too heavy and expensive.

Bedside sleepers
We have the Simmons by the bed twin sleeper. Assembly was pretty easy, good quality, love the height adjustment and mesh walls. But it's huge, doesn't fit through doors, wheels are useless on carpet, and the mattress pads are really thin. Our boys outgrew it by 3 months though. We used it as a bedside sleeper and it worked great for that. It's really the only option for a twin bedside bassinet besides the Halo, but this one is much smaller footprint.

Delta Children's By the Bed Twin City Sleeper
I used this bassinet for my twins. I was able to keep them in it until about 3.5 months. The height was great, we didn't even need the highest setting. The mesh is nice for seeing them, and the pockets are handy. The wheels don't work great on carpet and it's so wide you'll have to take the door off the hinges to move it from room to room. My biggest complaint is that replacement sheets were impossible to find since Delta stopped making them.
