It's a fine budget rear-facing only infant seat. Of course it will not have the features or ease-of-use as a model 2-4x the cost. For under $100, it is very competitive. Evenflo Litemax and Graco SnugRide 35 Lite are other reasonable models in this price range.

Onboard base installation and recline issues
Installing the no-frills base is a little more tricky than on some of the more expensive car seats with more installation features; however once you get it installed it usually stays there. For day-to-day use, the carrier itself is very nice, comfortable, roomy for the child...

Base installation help with seat belt
I was having issues with the base installation, specifically the lap belt part... I put the lap portion of the vehicle seat belt through the open belt guides, added weight to the seat while pulling the seat belt tight, and it finally locked properly.

The onBoard 35 will fit a variety of babies large and small well for an extended period and is lightweight. It’s compact when installed in the car, decently narrow, and easy to install.

Stroller compatibility and travel system concerns
I bought a Schwinn Interval stroller that came with the Safety 1st Onboard 35 LT. The stroller is okay but I returned it because the car seat adapter didn't work well... I ended up getting a Bravo stroller instead but kept the car seat because it's so light.
