New Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Slim Convertible Car Seat 5–100 lbs (Iron Frost)
The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Slim Convertible Car Seat (Iron Frost) is a 3-in-1 car seat designed to accommodate children from infancy through booster stage, supporting rear-facing (5–40 lbs), forward-facing (30–65 lbs), and booster (40–100 lbs) modes. Its slim profile fits well in tight vehicles and allows three-across seating, while the QuickFit adjustment system enables simultaneous harness and headrest height changes without rethreading. Key specifications include a machine-washable seat pad, dishwasher-safe cup holders, removable grow-with-me pillows, and a multi-position recline; however, Reddit users note that installation can be challenging and the seat may feel less padded on longer trips, though it is widely praised as a budget-friendly, long-lasting option.

Car seats - do we like Safety 1st all-in-one?
I personally hate the Safety 1st Grow and Go. It was impossible to get a tight install with the seatbelt and I had to use a rolled up towel under it to keep it from over-reclining… My kid didn't complain about the comfort, and maybe the car determines the ease of install, but never again for us.

Overwhelmed by car seat choices!
Safety 1st Grow and Go is perfect for tight budgets and fits 3 across in small cars. Install is a bit tricky but doable with a rolled towel. Longevity is good (used from 5-100lbs).

What's the best carseat for 3y? You have, I have.
We use the Safety 1st Grow and Go because it was cheap and slim (we have three across). It's not the most comfortable and hard to get a tight install, but it works. For the price, it can't be beat.
