The walk through door is a lifesaver. We had a Summer Infant one before that was 30” and he was starting to climb it, plus it felt flimsy. The Regalo is way better.

Regalo Extra Tall recommended for bottom of stairs and ease of installation
I have the Regalo Extra Tall gate at the bottom of my stairs and it's perfect. Installation was super easy - just pressure mounted with the cups and it hasn't budged. My 15 month old pushes and pulls on it constantly and it stays put. The height is great because she's tall for her age and already trying to climb things. Just make sure you don't use it at the top of stairs, it's not rated for that.

Regalo gate recommended for big babies but fit issues noted
I have the Regalo 36" one and it's been great for my big baby. He's 99th percentile for height and still hasn't managed to climb over at 22 months. The only issue is that my doorway was exactly 34" and I had to return it because the sizing gaps are weird - it didn't fit with or without the extension. I ended up getting a different model that fit, but if your doorway is within the range, it's a solid gate.

Regalo Extra Tall with modifications for ferrets
After trying a bunch of baby gates out, we finally found one that works for our ferrets: the Regalo Extra Tall 36". We had to add some wire mesh to the bottom half because the bars were too wide and they could squeeze through, but it's been solid. The height is good because they can climb, and the pressure mount means we didn't have to drill into the walls. It's held up for over a year now. Way better than the cheap wooden ones we started with.
