Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Slim Convertible Car Seat (Black Phantom)

We've had this car seat for almost a year know and I've hated it since the beginning. I wish I had returned it. The straps are incredibly hard to tighten and I have wrenched my wrists trying to pull it numerous times. Sometimes the tightening strap seems to get caught on something and it is impossible to tighten until you take the child out and play with the straps from all directions and then for some reason it works again. The strap also constantly twists with the buckle and while you are wrestling a screaming kicking toddler you are trying to twist abs fold it back in the right direction. Do not waste your money and spend a bit more on a different model.

This car seat is great. My daughter is extremely comfortable in it. I love the harness clips that hold the straps back while putting her in the seat. The headrest is very easy to adjust. In rear facing mode it takes up less space than other car seats which allows more leg room for the person sitting in the front seat. This is especially helpful since we have it installed in a pickup truck. Installation was easy (using the seatbelt or the latch) but the belt path for the seatbelt installation had some sharp plastic pieces that my husband scraped his hand on. That is the only con I could come up with. I would definitely recommend this car seat.

My son had completely grown out of his infant seat at 5 months old, so we did some research before a road trip and discovered this car seat. I appreciate that the height and weight requirements allow for my 18 month old to still sit comfortably rear facing. It's easy to adjust for his comfort and the fact that the cover is washable is a life saver. After using the first one we bought a second for my husband's vehicle. Little man is his fourth and this car seat has been the easiest to use and install. The only downside is it is a tight fit in my Jeep Renegade, but fits perfectly in our Durango. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

This car seat is very comfortable for my son (3yrs). Cup holders are large & great for drinks or snack cup. But it's major flaw is a safety issue. I'm a pretty fit woman, never had trouble lifting,pushing,pulling heavy/difficult objects & I CAN NOT tighten the straps on this car seat. The tightest I can get is is about 2in away from my sons chest & that's with me climbing into the vehicle and pulling with all my might! We have had this car seat for a little over a year. We had to put it in my husbands truck, because he is the only one that can tighten it, & had to buy another one for my vehicle. I regret buying it. A car seat is useless when you can't use it safely.

He seems very comfortable and with him being on the tall side I like it so much more than the seat dad had in his car. The two cup holders are a great feature as my son has a drink cup and a snack cup. The seat comes apart easy to wash and is easy to put back together. Which is great for me because my son has a lot of spills. The seat adjusts very easily. I would definitely recommend this seat to anyone looking for a good quality seat on a budget.

This car seat saved my sons life. I was recently in a car wreck a couple days before thanksgiving. My fiancé was going straight through a yellow light when someone was speeding through the light while turning left. We were hit and our car ended up on the sidewalk near a fence. All our air bags went off, my fiancé had a sprained arm and I had broken glasses, sprained shoulder and my neck was cut from the seat belt. We also were bruised everywhere on our body My son was untouched! He didn't have a single scratch or bruise on him! I recommend everyone this car seat now!!

I am really impressed with the quality of this seat. I have been through 4 different seats trying to find a convertible that is compact enough to fit in my small car but also safe and comfortable for my small three year old. This met all my needs and she Loves it!! The only issue I had was the harness felt like it was getting stuck as I tightened it, right before it was fully tightened. Customer service gave me some tips to switching to the second harness loop since my daughter is so small and it resolved the only issue I was having!! I am really happy that my daughter never complains about car rides any more!

Other then it being abit wide for my midsize car. I have 2015 mazda 3 mid size care it takes up alot of room in the back as a rear facing seat with the bar attached and the front passenger seat needs to be up really close to the dash. Other then that i love it. It comes with all side impact stuff and lots of padding for baby to be fully protected. I am trying to figure out how to order the outer shell thats where im at as my little one with winter boots has made the material rip in one place. No other complaints i love this seat for all its aspects. It was my car that made it too big and my little one with winter boots kicking and moving constantly that wrecked the material.

I purchased this car seat because I am an aunt who cares for my niece and nephews often now that my children are older. I wish this car seat was around when they were small. Having to buy multiple car seats as they grew was quite pricey. My favorite thing about it is that it's very easy to install. I need to take it out often to drive my daughter and her friends places. I also like having the peace of mind knowing how safe the child is in the car seat. The fabric is not only a pretty color, but it's so easy to clean! The straps are easy to adjust, too. I can't say enough how happy I am with this car seat.

I did receive this for free in exchange for an honest review. The material on this is super nice, it says it's antimicrobial but it doesn't state it doesn't have any added flame retardants in it. The material is super soft and it looks like it's high quality. The seat itself is SUPER light and would be a great option for travel though it is harder to adjust the reclines. We installed this is our old Ford F-150 ('92 I think?) and '23 VW Atlas across Sport. Both myself and husband had a difficult time doing a proper and safe rear install, the car seat wouldn't stay tightly down and slid all over. We ended up pulling over to forward face and it was fine but not our preferred method.

The adjustable back for the harness is great and easy to use. I can use in my midsize SUV or 2 midsize cars it fits great. The person in front doesn't have to be cramped by moving the seat the fit the car seat. There are 2 downsides to this car seat that I have found. 1- If you have to tighten the car seat down by yourself its very hard to get it tight so it doesn't move around. 2- The strap on mine that you pull on to tighten the harness tightens but then at a certain point stops and gets extremely hard to pull to finish tightening it to the need of my child. Over all i would recommend this car seat!

I bought 2 of these car seats about a year ago and have had a terrible time installing, uninstalling, and adjusting straps. The chest straps often get stuck, leaving our family extremely irritated because we cannot leave without our child properly secured in her seat. Installing and Uninstalling takes at minimum 30 minutes as the button does not release. I have reached out to the company with my concerns, requesting any type of guidance on how to make use any easier and have not heard a word back. Would never buy again. My best friend has the same car seat and unfortunately suffers the same issues.

We recieved the Safety First Grow and Go car seat for free for an honest review of it. And let me start by saying this product has been completely redesign from when we first bought the same product 4 years ago. The latch system is so much easier to use than it used to be, as is the seat adjustment. My son loves to ride in this seat as he is high enough up to be able to see out the windows now where he wasn't before. All in all this is a great product and I would give it more than just 5 stars if I was able to! Thanks Stellar Panel for the chance to retry this product we love it this time around.

I have the original safety first grow and go for my 2.5 year old son! I love that seat and recommend it to everyone! So I bought one for my 7 month old daughter! I noticed the cup holders are so small so it won't fit any standard sippy cup. The belt path is like sticking your hand in a slicer. It seems bulkier than our old one. I'm sure it will just take some getting used to but with our third in the way and to be born in November I planned on buying that baby the same seat and now I'm iffy on it just because of the cup holders and belt path. Otherwise the seat is still awesome and super comfy!

The Safety 1st Grow and Go convertible all in one car seat is incredibly lightweight and easy to adjust. The different recline options for rear facing help keep my 2 year old comfy in his seat and the back rest is also adjustable to get the right fit. Having removable cup holders is also a huge plus. It makes it so easy to keep them clean. This car seat is very light weight it makes switching cars a breeze. Although the strap covers are nice and soft it's a little tough to get the straps and chest clip in the right spot. I was lucky to receive this carseat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel for free in exchange for my honest review and truly the carseat is awesome! I love how easy it is to adjust the straps and headrest as well as angle of this seat. I love that you can use it through childhood because now I do not have to go buy another carseat for my little one. The safety features are great and my son loves this carseat. I installed it in about 3 minutes without trouble, the hardest part was adjusting the angle because I forgot to do it until I had it all secured in the car. The only reason I took off a star was because there's one piece that rattles and it drives my husband crazy but otherwise this carseat is awesome!

It's difficult to tighten but SUPER light weight. It fits behind my seat (I'm 5'2'') with a few inches to spare in my Ford Fusion. I originally bought this for my husbands truck but decided to see if it would fit in mine, then we'll get him another one when our daughter outgrows her infant seat. It's very plush, and the slots to keep the straps out of the way are a life saver! I was tucking the infant seat buckles into the sides of the pad before. Still trying to figure out if she needs the head pillow or not, it's not real clear on how long it's suggested they use it.

I adore this car seat. You get so much use and a really safe product for a great price. I received this product through Stellar Product Testing Panel, but we have another Safety 1st seat we purchased ourselves, and they are both top notch car seats. I love that you can rear face in this seat up to 40 lbs while still getting that longevity out of it. We used our other grow and go to bring our baby home in, and this one fits her now comfortably at nearly a year and a half! It's easy to install, but it did take my husband's help to get it properly tightened. I am very excited that once this seat is grown out of, they'll be big enough we likely won't need car seats any more! Overall, 9/10, would definitely recommend :)

This Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat has some of my favorite features such as easy install, seat pad can be washed, cup holders, lightweight, and seem perfect for my toddler twins. My baby love how comfortable it is, he is always so relaxed in this car seat! I was so concern on the comfort level due to us having to buy many car seats because, my twins did not enjoy sitting it them and cry the ENTIRE car ride from discomfort. It's safe to say that we have found the answer to our troubles and I will be purchasing a new one for my twin girl soon!

We bought this car seat the night before for our 4 month old who has out grown his first car seat. The next day my husband and our 4 month old got into a motor vehicle accident. It was a horrifying situation. When I saw my husband get hit from behind by someone who wasn't paying attention, all I could think about was our son in the back. I ran to go get our son out of the car and Praise God he was ok. The car seat was intact our son was ok. So thank you for the peace of mind that you give parents using your products. We are truly satisfied with the investment.

I love this carseat. My son was a big preemie and he fit perfectly in this seat. He's now a big 7 month old (26lbs and 29.75 inches) he's still on recline 3. It fits in the center back seat or our small 2000 Chevy Impala despite my 6'3" husband's seat being way back. There's an inches between hubby's seat and baby's carseat. My son is comfortable and happy in his seat. I've not had any issues with tightening the harness. This seat is very easy to install with seat belts, I don't know about latch since our car doesn't have that feature. I'm very happy with this seat in every way possible. My son gets hot easily and this seat doesn't make him sweat like the other carseat we have in grandma's car. Very happy with this carseat!

I have had this car seat for the last year and it is horrible. I've actually considered buying a different one if I had the money. It is so difficult to install due to the fact that it's very hard to loosen the straps and then to tighten them again. During installation the straps are near impossible to tighten in order to secure the seat. Then when putting my child in, I have a struggle everytime tightening her seatbelt and she never feels fully secure. My other child has a Graco and even though its larger, it's so easy to install and secure her in her seat.

This was a gift to my son from his grandma. It was an alright car seat. I liked the design, nice colors. My son loved it. The thing we do not love, is the fact that he hates riding in the car now because every single time we make a turn his car seat will slide. I've tried switching the seat place we use for his car seat. Slides down every time. I know it's not our seat belts that don't work, my daughter has a different brand of car seat and we have never had an issue with her car seat sliding at all. It just sits, and looks weird, when in my husbands truck.

I am a mother of 5. My youngest was a preemie and has many medical problems. We bought this car seat for her because the the machine washable cover and I am blown away by how amazing this carseat is! I have washed the cover more times than I can count and it still is holding its shape and looking great! Its not necessary to remove the carseat to take off the pad but if you do need to move it this carseat is easy to install. My daughter is now 4 and has been in this carseat since she was about 4 months old. It is the best car seat we have ever owned.

For the price of this car seat it isn't bad and is a good, safe option. My son is comfortable in it and has never complained. However, loosening and tightening the straps is extremely difficult, it is not smooth at all. I really have to tug to tighten and loosen and it takes more time than it should to get him in and out of the seat because of this. Installing does take more time than other car seats that we have, but its not too much of an issue for me because we rarely take the seat of out the car. But if you switch cars a lot it could be annoying.

As first time grandparents who were being told we had to spend upwards of $300+ to get an acceptable car seat, which is out of out budget, we were thrilled to find this one online. It arrived in perfect condition and not knowing how to install it, we were able to attend a car seat check event at our local police station. There we were given through lessons on how to properly use and had it expertly installed by a car seat "whisperer!" Now we can confidently take our precious "cargo" anywhere without any fear of a mishap. Plus they provided us with a car seat guide for future reference and a CHAD,(child has an identity), sticker. Every car seat should have one of these stickers. Maybe they could be included in the box with each car seat??

My newly-minted two year-old has some pretty strong opinions about his favorite things. Car seats are not on that list. We were pleasantly surprised when he hopped right into this new seat and has (mostly) enjoyed it for a few weeks now. Pros: -Easy harness adjustment (kids grow fast!) -Easy to install -Medium-sized seat- not too big but still feels sturdy -Two cup holders (for all the waters) Cons -Chest clip and lap buckle took a little bit to get used to -Seems to make a little more noise than I'm used to when it's empty -Heavy - this could be good when it's installed in one place but a con if you're looking for a seat to travel with or change between vehicles We were so happy to receive this seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

I bought this car seat for my granddaughter when her infant seat became a little too small. It is soft comfy and well padded to keep her safe. However, installation was a challenge and the enclosed directions were not clear. I contacted customer service several times, sent pictures and a video, and while texting them the issue (not being able to get the seat tight enough to use), being asked multiple irrelevant questions, and waiting to be connected to someone who could help me on a video call, I figured out the solution. Tighten the anchor strap FIRST then while pushing the seat down as far as possible into the car's seat, clip the anchor into the metal car clip. Seat is now tight and secure. Perhaps I should rewrite the directions for installation.

I was in an accident yesterday, the same day my baby turned five months. The impact was ridiculous, the air bags were deployed, my entire body is sore, and when it first happened I couldnt get out of the car or even breathe for that matter. The car that hit me admitted to running a red light before ramming into the right side of my car. But even though I was stuck in the car, and had the literal wind knocked out of me, my baby is fine. Not a scratch, not a bump, not even a bruise. The car seat did tilt a little when everything in the car was thrown, but she was fine. She wasn't thrown out of it or anything. Of course she's a bit traumatized and has needed a little extra love and attention but my miracle child is still in perfect condition. THANK YOU.!!!!

This carseat is perfect for our Toyota Rav-4. It fit right in with our other 2 carseats. It was light and easy to install. It is such a great option for our little guy (12 months) and it was easy to adjust if we wanted our 3 y/o to use it another time. Our 12 month old seemed very comfortable and fell asleep in his carseat (which doesn't often happen). The seat was sturdy and I felt like it was incredibly safe. This 6 year old seat has seen us through to our third grandchild and it's still gong string and looks like it's brand new after likely a couple hundred uses. I see a lot of people grumbling about the effort to install it but I feel that it got easier quickly. Sturdy is what makes it safe for our precious grandchildren. You don't have to wrestle it. I jump in, lean the front seat forward, put a knee in the seat and tighten the straps. When my weight comes off the seat, it is secure and doesn't move. Today, I disassembled it and laundered the covers and pads and it looks factory new. It's also easy to adjust between our "Tonka Truck" 3 year old grandson and our tiny tot 15 month old granddaughter. It's worth the money and the time for this product. Thank you.

My son has this car seat in red Mickey Mouse of course and I absolutely love it and he does as well. It actually is the second car seat that we have bought the first one got damaged so we went back and bought another one and the damage was something that's on us not them and now we are pregnant and expecting a girl and we are most definitely buying the pink one. I would recommend this for any child is good for brand new babies up to coddlers, if you don't got it, go get it cheap price, high quality, comfy, durable car seat and on top of everything is very easy to clean all the material comes right off, wash it put it back together, very easily assembled and take apart. Honestly, I could go on and on about this car seat so in my opinion, five stars go get it.

Bought this car seat to keep in our spare car (2015 Corolla) that we use when we have our grandson. The only bad thing about this car seat is the amount of room that it takes up, even with the seats all the way to the front, in order to put the car seat into the position that it needs to be for infants we need to have the seats pushed all the way to the front of the car and we definitely can not drive the car with the seat pushed all the way to the steering wheel, and forget going anywhere if you have to have two people and the car seat in the back seat, not going to happen. Other than that, it is very easy to get him in and out of the seat, and easy to keep clean. Would definitely recommend it ONLY if drive a minivan or SUV of something bigger than a corolla.

I love that it will grow with my baby and we won't have to buy another one for different stages of her life. My daughter didn't fuss at all in this car seat so it's safe to say she was rather comfortable in it. It didn't install as easily as I hoped it would. It took about three tries to really secure it down. I love the use of cup holders so it's easy for her to grab a cup. I really really think this is an amazing car seat.

I have bought two of these car seats for one for each child and I'm in love with time this is the only car seat I could find my son would use and I was praying he's like it because all the other car seats I had went through didn't hold up. I bought for him when he out grew the infant carrier and he's 5 almost 6 and still uses it. I just bought one for my daughter and she loved it just as well she little bigger then he was at 1 so I was worried she wouldn't like it but she loves it she don't ever want to get out of it

We love that this is a carseat that can grow with us throughout the years. Our son is currently still rear-facing and this seat accommodates his current stage. It also comes with infant insert accessories (which we have already grown past, but the fabric seems really soft!). It was fairly easy to install and does not take up a huge footprint in our car, however is larger than some other compact car seats we have owned. The padding seems comfortable and the neutral color scheme is lovely. It feels very secure and baby seems happy in it. My only issue would be that the front harness is a little hard to unsnap, but I am getting used to it. Cupholders are nice and deep for a sippy cup. I love this carseat an so do all of my children. I have 4 kids ranging between 1 and 6. This carseat not only looks nice, it also grows with your kid. I tried this seat with my kids and each of them said it was very comfortable and I loved how easy it was to install and adjust for each child. I plan to purchase 3 more of these Safety 1st carseats. This car seat feels and looks great! I don't question the safety and I think it looks great! It feels like high quality that I can trust. It is not too bulky and not too heavy. It feels like the perfect size! It is easy to secure my child and get him out. I do love the convenience of it being a convertible car seat; a perfect way to save money! My son enjoys the car seat! It is comfortable for him. It is very easy to install- that's probably the best thing about the car seat! Another must is that the cloth exterior is machine washable. I really love this car seat for my baby.first the car seat is very spacious and I love that. The material used is very soft and my baby sleeps so well in it. I also like the fact that my child will grow with it,installing this seat was not difficult because I followed the instructions.The only down side is the cups holder don't stay in place but that doesn't bother me much because I love my baby being comfortables. I love this car seat. My mother bought one for her truck so I decided to buy one for my car. Although, after installing it, I am having trouble with her head hanging downward when she sleeps and the straps are rubbing her neck. I did install it properly and I do have my daughter adjusted properly. Perfect for my moms truck, but not for my car. If it wasn't for the adjustment problem, I would love it. Want to return it, as it is unsafe for my daughter to ride in, in all honesty. But, I threw away the box.

This car seat is easy to install, it's great for infants and even toddlers. However, the booster part does not seem safe at all. There is no strap holder, I feel like the lap belt doesnt fit well either like it could just slip right off during an accident. My 6.5 year old is in the booster part but barely by an inch (literally) and she just doesnt look safe. The straps are digging into her neck and her 5 yr old brothers neck and they cannot go down anymore. I may need to just replace the strap covers??

I have called Safety First 3 times and emailed 4, NO ONE will get back with me! After holding for 20-30 minutes, someone will pick up then hang up. This car seat was great for the first few months, now the straps will NOT stay tight. They loosen without pushing the release button. This is a huge safety recall yet NO ONE will call me back to fix this issue. ***I am normally the last person to ever post a bad review, but when it comes to the safety of children Safety First should do better...***

Overall all I love the car seat. We purchased when my daughter was about 6 months because she out grew her infant carrier height and weight and overall wasn't comfortable anymore. This car seat was a great choice. I have had it for a year now and the only bad thing I can say is the need to wrk on the sturdiness of the latch it does wobble. But I secure her latch and run the seat bed for extra security! My daughter weighs 34 lb at 18m and if I don't secure it the car seat will move.

Our little dude seems to really like this so far. It seems very secure and I can tell it would protect him. My only gripe is the gray latch up top that connects to some metal poles inside (that's how you adjust the height) vibrate against each other literally the whole car ride. It's a horrible sound, just watch the video. I've resorted to having to stuff something down in that hole so they won't bang against each other, which is annoying to have to do to a brand new car seat.

I am a nanny for 3 year old twins and one of them is in The Safety First Go and Grow and the other one is in a different Car Seat. They both fight over who gets to sit in the Go and Grow. They both think it is more comfortable and it has 2 cup holders...which is gold on car trips! The latch system is easy to install and the car seat itself while lightweight also has a sturdiness to it that makes me feel they are safe in it! Another great feature is it is easy to take apart and wash the lining of it....with two 3 year olds it has definitely seen its fair share of spills and accidents!! Another bonus is when I loaned it to a friend for the weekend we learned how easy it was to have it rear facing and reclined for her baby!! I would use this car seat from infant right through until they don't need a booster!!

My husband and I both have this car seat in our cars for our 3 year old. He's been using it for only less than 2 years, and the harness is SO hard to tighten. I have to pull at it over and over, and it still doesn't get as tight as it should. We're having the same problem for both car seats. I contacted customer service, but it's been weeks with no response. I just want to know if there is a trick I am missing to make this work, because this car seat does not seem safe!!

This stupid thing is not secure at all. It moves way too much no matter how tight the anchor straps are. It's even worse trying to use the seat belt. And of course they say you can't use both to strap the car seat down. We still tried it out of desperation and the seat was still sliding around. And its so big the seats its behind have to be all the way forward. No room for driver or passenger. I have a large suv so i expect to be able to have room. Not worth my money.

I would not recommend this product as I have installed this into different cars and no matter how tight I tighten the seatbelt or the latch system (I have tried both systems) the car seat leans over. I was in a round-a-bout once when the whole thing fell over!! Took it to the fire station for correct installation, read the manual many different times now and it is STILL tipping around. Only reason it got a star is because my my daughter loves to be sitting up now.

This car seat is extremely difficult to tighten and seems cheap. I mean you can't even add an actual level. It is cheap to add a level but to save money they didn't. The latch straps are not even attached to the seat and they are just big metal hooks. This has to be the cheapest construction. The seat never seems tight enough unless you rip on the strap as hard as you can and jiggle the seat and stand at a certain angle. This seat is horrible compared to my graco.

I have several car seats to cover lots of regular kid-transporters (grandparents, nanny, etc) and this is one of my least favorite. It was difficult to get into the car and wiggles a lot, it also feels a little flimsy. That being said, my kid seems comfy in it and the straps seem to not get twisted as often as some others. I received the Safety First All in One Convertible Car Seat in the color Dunes Edge. It is mostly cream in color with accents in deep plum. I use this car seat with both of my children, ages 2 and 5. They both fit in the car seat and it is very easy to adjust from one child to the other. This is one of the most affordable car seats on the market. I was surprised it had two cup holders and such plush fabric for the price point. Both of my children will be able to use this car seat forward facing with the harness until they are 65 lbs and as a booster seat until they reach 100 lbs. The install of this car seat took about 5 minutes and is comparable to other car seat brands we have owned. Overall, this is an excellent seat and I am so excited that it can be used for 10 years! No more car seat purchases for me! Thank you Safety First!

I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The chair felt sturdy and with the padded seating my 3 yr old fit comfortably in the car seat. I was able to adjust the headrest, harness straps, and the crotch strap for my daughter so she felt happy and comfortable. My daughter also enjoyed the chair being reclined even at forward facing! It made our long drive more relaxed and happier. And cleaning the car seat was easy. The cupholders and seat pads can be easily removed and washed in my machine and put into the dryer! I had no problems setting up the carseat into my 4-door sedan. The quality is excellent and it feels safe for my child. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a carseat they can use for a couple of years. Excellent quality and totally safe and easy to install and care for!

The seat seems very sturdy and also has lots of comfort features so Baby is comfortable in the car. Because it is sturdy it is also a little heavy. But it was also pretty easy to install which is a huge plus for any car seat. I love the plush lining for my son who used to hate driving in the car until this seat!

We have had this seat for about a year. My daughter got sick one day and vomited on the harness. I took the harness out to clean, but it didn't come clean, so I threw it out. I just tried to get a replacement harness and the company told me I couldn't because it is not a replaceable part. So since I took the harness off, now I have a seat that is useless. If I can't replace this part, I definitely won't buy another one from Safety1st!

This car seat is the worst. I can get it in tightly front facing but rear facing is a nightmare. The angle the anchor strap sits makes it impossible to tighten so it's safe. This was in multiple cars (Chevy Impala, GMC Yukon, Nissan Altima and Nissan Pathfinder). The design is awful. It's also hard with minimal padding and the cup holders pop off all the time. We are NOT impressed and now have to find another secondary car seat.

I like the seat but it's extremely hard to install. The top part of the seat moves a ton when installed properly and i have the HARDEST time tightening the straps. It's very hard for me. I hate leaving the house because of this. It's pointless to have when i don't feel it's the safest option but don't have money to just throw out because this seat doesn't work. Very disappointed. Should have written this review forever ago.

It has a straightforward design, which is something I really appreciate as it is easy to use and easy to install in the car (well, as easy as any car seat which means still a little bit of a pain, but definitely worth it and easier than some I've installed!) I like that this seat can grow with my baby for many years to come. The safety features of this seat are good, and my daughter is comfortable riding in the seat on longer and shorter drives. My favorite feature of the seat is that it is easy to buckle and appropriately tighten, a must for me with 2 age two and under in car seats! The only drawback is that the part that adjusts the harness height sometimes makes a vibrating noise when no baby is in the seat on drives, but that was easily remedied by tossing a blanket on top of the seat.

This car seat is stylish, easy to use and my son fits comfortably in it. I love that it has the little holders for the safety straps so I can place him in the car seat without having to fish for the straps. At a full recline it stills fits in my backseat without me or my passenger having to move our seats forward. I like that all the padding can be customized because it allows for a great, safe, set up for my son.

We have been using this car seat for almost 6 months now and it has gone on three major road trips with up and it's great, my baby is comfortable and when she makes a mess I can easy pop the cover off and wash it without a hassle. Didn't use for her as a new born because where we live in the winter it gets -60 but once it warmed up I instantly put her in this seat and she is so much happier to ride in the car now!

Horrible...worst carseat ever. So upset that my husband and I spent money on this. Had this carseat for 3 months and constantly have problems with it staying in place. Looked at video after video, read the instructions from front to back and still it isnt sturdy with latches, belt...nothing. Tried to give this a chance but please do not purchase a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and purchase the Graco 4 Ever

Couldn't even install it. So I never tried. I wouldn't either. It wobbles when you finally do figure it out. I don't know why people trust their children in this seat. We watched more than 5 useless videos, and there is still a wobble. With the latch hooks and the seat belt. Even in the actual manuel which every video said to read, it says you may need to wedge a pool noodle for stabilization. Unbelievable.

I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The design of the carseat is a good idea and I really like the fact that this carseat will last a long time. This carseat is rather big and does take up a bit of room so I think this would be better suited for a larger backseat. Another plus about this carseat is that it already has a built in head support so I didnt need to buy anything extra. It also has 3 recline modes as well. At first my baby wasn't comfortable due to my passenger seat reclining a bit. So if your baby seems uncomfortable make sure the passenger front seat is as far up as possible. The install of this carseat was so easy that I thought I was missing something! Its refreshing as alot of carseats require more work. My favorite feature of this carseat is the 3 reclining modes. It gave my baby more options ro choose from as far as comfort.

After returning three car seats becuase my husband and I were sick of watching youtube videos to figure out to install it, we were so relieved to find out how easy this one was to install. The seat is super plush and comfortable and I love the overall look and color. The fabric is super easy to clean which is great with my messy little one. I love that it will grow with my daughter. Definitely a good buy!

Do not buy! Me and my boyfriend spend hours trying to install this car seat and it still moved more then an inch, also had my father try and thought we had it tight enough only to find my daughter tipped over as i was driving. I am supper disappointed in this product, i will have to buy a new car seat now and they aren't cheap! If you care about your child's safety DO NOT BUY THIS CAR SEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My family was in a really terrible car accident back in September '21 and my 2 children (2 & 3) who were each in one of these car seats were fine other than a bruise where the straps held them in! Myself and husband had awful injuries, broken hips, multiple broken ribs each, punctured spleen, etc. And my two babies were perfectly safe and okay aside from minor bruising and I fully credit these seats!

I was excited to try this car seat since my son was getting a little too heavy and big for the infant car seat. It was easy to install in my car and it isn't heavy or bulky as I thought it would. I love that I'm able to keep him rear facing longer and am able to adjust the seat to the level that he is comfortable in. Buckling him in is such a breeze this car seat has clips on each side to hold the straps and even has a little pocket for the bottom buckle. It has two cup holders and I like that they're easy to remove as well as the seat pads to wash them. My son is safe in this car seat he looks comfy and I love that I won't have to buy another car seat this will last him until he doesn't need to be in a booster seat anymore. I will definitely be buying one for my other son and 10/10 recommend!

I bought this car seat when my son turned 1. Although I had health installing this it wasn't too difficult. I have had no issues with this seat. I drive a 2016 Jeep compass it's not huge but it's not small either (my Jeep) but the car seat fits perfectly and my son is very secure. I would definitely 10 out of 10 recommend this to a friend. Thank you safety 1st for a great quality seat for my son!

This car seat is light weight, has comfortable fabric and fits nicely in a Sadan. I do find the chest harness Buckle be a little challenging to get off but it's not a deal breaker. The cushions are easy to adjust and take off to wash. My 3 year old did mention that the cup holder has sharp edges, which he noticed when scooting in and out of the seat. He also missed the comfort of arm rests.

I got this carseat as a gift from daughters grandparents. I was really excited when I seen it because I really liked the appearance and cup holders but I absolutely do not like it after using it. It is near impossible to tighten the straps for the harness. My daughter is 2 and still rear facing but since the day she started using it when she first turned 1 I have had difficulty tightening. I have to use all my strength and get into the car and pull the straps in the back and than pull the tether over and over till tighten the best I can and I still second guess if she is safe. I'm really worried because I feel like the straps get stuck u dr the seat. Also I have made sure I am installing properly on numerous occassions but I feel like the seat tips over no matter how tight the seat belt is and locked in position. My daughter has been almost sideways a few times and I'm not a crazy driver. Not happy.

The design was very impressive, I love the way it looks especially the seatbelt hooks on the sides. I really like that it can grow with my child from infancy through childhood. The safety features of the car seat are my favorite part. It feels like it will protect my child at every angle. My son was so comfortable and happy in his new beautiful car seat. It was extremely easy for me to install this car seat. All I needed to do was put my cars seatbelt through the car seat and buckle it in. My favorite features of this car seat is the seatbelt covers the buckle cover and the seatbelt hooks because it keeps the seatbelt and buckle from rubbing causing irritation or burning. The hooks make it so much quicker for me to get my son buckled in and out.

I like that it was compact enough that I can put it in the same row as another car seat in my SUV & still have plenty of room! What I like about it is how easy it is to adjust the headspace & the incline of the seat to make sure she is fastened safely & comfortably in the car. My one complaint was that it was a little confusing to install. There was a problem with getting the anchors to properly fit in the car, no matter what seat was tried. I eventually needed to consult a video online, & it ultimately took much longer to install than my other seats. This seat is lightweight while still being sturdy & dependable. It easily adjusts & has removable padding to keep my toddler comfortable & safe. The price is cheaper & comparable to other models,

I loved this seat when we first purchased it, it was comfortable and easy to install. However, now that my daughter is over a year old it tips sideways while in the rearfacing position which is disappointing because I don't feel that she is safe now. I am looking into buying a new seat now from a different brand that others have reviewed as better compatible with rear facing.

This car seat is really nice and good quality but it is SO HARD to get it tight enough. Apparently a few people have had this problem with this specific car seat. I thought maybe it was me being a first time mom, but i had multiple people including a fire department that wasn't able to get it tight enough either. Eventually , we were able to fix this but it really was a pain.

I love the seat i own two and am about to get a third they last from birth to no longer needing one, after the 4 years ive been using them i find them really easy too install. My only down side is (which i believe is most convertibles) is all the spaces its hard too get too when cleaning. Ive had a few friends buy off my recommendation and they all love theirs as well

This car seat is even better than expected. The color is perfect for my little girl with the pink trim, but dark in the right places making it super easy to clean. The straps are easily adjusted and the seat takes no time at all to install, especially when switching between cars. I am excited and thankful to have this car seat in the years to come as my baby grows.

Bought this and 2 complaints. One of my car seats doesn't tighten as well as the other 1 not too sure what's going on it always has a little give compared to the other 1. And we have twins and somehow I've lost all 4 of my cup holders definitely a design flaw. But don't really care but can I get some replacements. Or at least find out where the heck to buy them at.

Upgraded from the infant carrier. Wanted a seat that would be safe and comfortable for my son. It was easy to install in my dodge Durango. My son doesn't seem to like it, I don't think he likes all the padding around him but I can't tighten the harness enough without the padding. Also the harness was hard to tighten at first. Overall I'm happy with this car seat.

As a first time mother, I was very nervous purchasing a car seat for my little one, but luckily my sister-inlaw gave me the grow and go as a gift! It was very easy to install and I absolutely love the color. Not to mention every time I put my daughter in it, she immediately passes out (so I think she likes it, too!). Would recommend to anyone looking :-)

The installation is not easy. The lower anchor is difficult to unhook and it's not the easiest to tighten. I don't like that there is a decline line and not the bulb like other seats have. But it is sturdy and seems comfortable enough for my 9 month old. I am confident in the seat and if I had to buy it again I would despite the installation difficulty.

We've had pur carseat for almost a year now, got it when my son started to out grow his infant seat. It was hard to install at first to where the carseat wouldnt move. But after a few attempts its easy to install and i have been able to get the carseat installed tight enough where it doesn't move. Definitely feel safe putting my son in this carseat.

Had this car seat about 2.5ish years now. Love it we bought a second. Love it enough, I'll get it for our next kid too. I love that it can be easily cleaned. I've had to do so a few times. Easy to install with latches. Both rear face and forward faced. My daughter does not complain about it at all. Fits in both our SUV And our malibu.

We just got into a car accident not too long ago and the car seat held up really well. As the car was impacted, I looked over and it was if the car seat and my son were not phased. I don't even recall seeing my son jerk at all. After going to the hospital, everyone had some sort of injury except for my son. I will definitely be buying another.

Haven't had any issues with this car seat. Except for today I needed to take the carseat apart because my son threw up in it. I can not for the life of me figure out how to get the straps off to wash. I also have a graco and those straps come off but I guess the don't. If i'm unable to get the puke smell out we will have to throw this away.

As a mother of two active children - I need all the help I can get. My favorite features are that it's SO EASY to clean (and my kids are very messy!) and as my children and family continue to grow, I don't need to keep buying additional car seats. I have two of this seat, one in each car for my infant. The harness system is terrible quality. It takes every ounce of my strength to tighten the harness system and sometimes the straps barely budge at all! This occurs with both seats, so unless a whole batch of these were defective, it is a problem with the overall product quality.

I have two children and have accumulated a total of 5 car seats, from the infant carrier, convertible car seat, to the convertible/booster car seat. After receiving the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-one convertible car seat from Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was pleased to see an all in one car seat. We tried the seat for both children, rear facing for my 16 month old daughter and forward facing for my 4 year old son. The seat was easy to install and offers 3 reclining positions which helps for the more compact vehicle. My son is currently using the seat and especially appreciates the two cup holders that are included with the seat. Both of my children appeared happy and comfortable, however compared to some of the more upscale car seats the padding and fabric does appear slightly cheap. Overall, I would recommend the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-one convertible car seat for the flexibility this seat provides and its ability to grow with your child.

We have (2) of these. Our 1yr old loves it. Tons of padding, he sits higher and enjoys looking around. I recommend, for rear-facing, SUV/CUV or large sedan. We keep each in our Explorer and Journey, which they fit well. However, our Cruze and standard cab Silverado, this seat is far too large, leaving the passenger seat completely forward in the Cruze. The truck, the seat belt does not keep him from rocking/tilting on even moderate turns, and the seat is too large for the center seat w/ a lap belt. I assume all of the additional padding is the reason our son is drenched in sweat when we pull him out, even on mid-70's and the a/c cranked. All in all, I would say this is a good choice if you have the right vehicle. Im looking forward to the reduced footprint when he can ride facing forward... It'd be nice to drive the Cruze again. For reference, we have a 21yr old, 18yr old, 1yr old and a newborn grand-baby... We've been around the block with car-seats.

My granddaughters are now 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. I just converted to booster w/ the oldest. I find it hard to believe the review about all the stuff tearing up below. These seats are sturdy. Both have served excellently and not hard to install at all. All new cars have a teether system. Use it and the seat will never move.

We bought this car seat almost 10 months ago when our daughter outgrew her infant car seat. She was around 6 months at the time. She was immediately so much comfier from her first ride in it. At the time, we were driving a Ford Focus, so space was already limited. However, with the car seat on the 3rd recline (the farthest), we had extra space in the front passenger seat! It also gave us more room across our back seat! A few months later, we upgraded our vehicle to a Toyota RAV4, and we now obviously have more room than before. But the car seat works great for small and large cars which is great! Also, the cover is SUPER easy to take off, machine wash, dry, and put back on. Much easier than I expected it to be. Everything came out looking brand new which is awesome for how messy my daughter can get. No need to unthread the harness either! Needless to say, we will definitely be getting a second one of these when our second daughter outgrows her infant seat as well!

I got this carseat as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I love it. This carseat was easy to install in about 10 minutes. I can tell we will use this carseat for a long time. My little guy is much more comfortable than the carrier we were using before and the inserts hold him snug bu not uncomfortably so.

UNSAFE!!!! This is the worst car seat ever made. The straps are impossible to tighten. The first seat we had did the same and the replacement seat is no better. I do not feel it's safe enough for my child to be in so I guess it will be going to the garbage. Waste of money. The seat rattles when empty too. DO NOT BUY!

She's now 15 months old and the left side cup holder just broke off!!! Very poor quality and I will not be buying anything from this company again!

Hate the straps on this thing! They are so hard to tighten and it feels like no matter what I do my son can still get an arm out and I feel like it's not even safe for him, it looks so uncomfortable for him too. This car seat is lightweight compared to its competitors. The fabric is soft and luxurious - making it seem much more expensive than it is. I love the harness brackets. I have always had to dig them out from under my son using other seats. This makes it so much easier. My son get car sick often and it's so difficult to clean every nook and cranny safely - not with the Grow and Go! Every detail is easy to clean or remove for washing; even the cup holders are removable! I love that it can grow with your child from infancy through childhood - especially for its price point, it's amazing how long it will last! This car seat is very safe. There is plenty of padding and a 5 point harness. I love the ability to latch into the car, making installation easier. The directions are thorough and informative. My kids were both very comfortable riding in this seat and I felt at ease knowing they were secure. I received this car seat as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

This is the worst car seat we've ever had. I've installed this car seat numerous times in different vehicles. Sometimes I can get it secured and most of the time I can't. I don't have issues with our two other car seats of different brands. This car seat is frustrating to install and isn't as secure as others.

Wow, after having had 2 kids and being very disappointed with previous car seats, I can say that this car seat was everything I had been looking for in the past. As a parent, my main concern was making sure that this seat would protect my child at all costs, and it is doing that so far. I cannot rave enough.

The straps are really hard to tighten, this was used for a backup but our first got stolen. The latch is difficult to install but it's easy when using the seatbelt (for ff). It's easy to wash but the big issue that really makes me want to throw it away is of course the straps which is a lot of other reviews.

Love this car seat. And so does my son. It's great for him to look out the window. And it's very easy to install because IF YOU READ the instructions it clearly tells you how to properly install the car seat. No one should have difficulty installing this seat. It is a great seat and a great price.

This car seat is incredibly user friendly and I really appreciated the features that allow it to be easily adjusted as your child grows. The instruction manual was very clear and detailed which was incredibly helpful for installing it into my car. I used the car seat for my son who is nearly a year old and 20lbs. I was able to install the car seat rear facing in my Chevy Cruize very quickly with the help of the instruction manual. Unfortunately because of the design of my backseat, the car seat was not able to be reclined enough even in the farthest setting to prevent my son's head from falling forward when asleep. Because of this I wouldn't use it with a younger baby unless it was installed in a different vehicle. My favorite feature is definitely the handles that allow you to easily adjust the height of the seat, I'm looking forward to many more years of use of this conveniently designed car seat!

I have such a hard time tightening the straps between their legs because it gets stuck and then all of a sudden you pull it tight enough and it will click and you can get it tighter but until then you're hacking to pull the straps from behind the seat to try to tighten the straps around

This is our every day carseat, it wasn't our first seat for my daughter (had 2 car accidents) but it has become our favorite one. She's 4 y/o, 38lb, and 3"3, forward facing and still has many more years of use with this seat. Definitely will get a second one when we have another baby.

This is the MOST difficult car seat to install and tighten! Every time I have to take it out to clean it or move it around it takes me at least 30-45 minutes to get it back into a safe position in my SUV. The only plus side is that it looks very comfortable and has a lot of padding.

This seat is super light weight very padded and looks super safe. TERRIBLY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL. My husband and I worked for 30 minutes to try and get this tightened down enough to feel like my child was safe in it. I do not like that is has the old fashion hooks to latch into car.

My first impressions about this car seat are that it is lightweight and would be great for a travel seat. It was semi-easy to install, though I did not like that the latch straps weren't already attached. I love the khaki color of it and my 4 year old thought it was comfortable.

I only bought this because it was cheaper than Graco but I wish I spent the extra money. My son fits good in it and the straps get tight but when he falls asleep his head falls forward, no one can sit in the front passenger seat unless they want to hug the dash and if you move the seat to sit comfortably the carseat tilts up, no matter how tight I get the restraint still slides back and forth more than I would like it to. Makes me feel like he'll fall over in the carseat if hit from the side. I would not recommend this to anyone and dont know how it fits toddlers, hopefully I wont have it long enough to find out especially if I dont like it now...

This car seat, despite it's moderate range price, is very cheaply made and difficult to use. After six months, the strap mechanism has completely broken and the straps are now stuck. Pieces that cover up the hardware have also ripped off or come loose, despite no real wear and tear, another reason we've found it so cheap. When we contacted Safety 1st to file a claim under the 1 year warranty we were treated as if we just didn't know how to use a car seat, and were told we would need to send in video of us demonstrating the problem to move on with the warranty process. Ridiculous. I would not recommend this seat of Safety 1st to anyone.

Our son is rapidly outgrowing his infant car seat, and since he's our third, we're well versed in what seat to get next. We love this car seat. It has a gorgeous color, which I know isn't the most important, but we have a new car so it matters to us. We love the padding, and that he will finally have holders for drinks and snacks. It's easy to install rear facing, which we will be doing for at least another year, and we can eventually flip it forward facing. It's easy to disassemble and clean, which is crucial for this age group. Plus, with the way he grows so fast, we're happy that he will grow and still be able to use this seat.

My daughter has been in this car seat since 5 months. The straps are a little stiff to tighten but i actually love that, as I know they won't slip loose during an accident. It's easy to install with just one person. I found the best way to tighten the latch is to kneel in the seat, lift the cover over the cup holder on the side with the strap & feed the strap underneath, where the other one rests, & pulling that way. It tightens way easier, and I get a great fit in my leather seats. I recommend this seat to everybody. My daughter loves it & so do I. It's easy to swap between cars too. The install takes 5 minutes each time. Washing the cover is a breeze too!

I have bought 2 of these carseats. The first one was for my oldest daughter. We had it about a year and the recline button broke on it. I figured maybe it was just defective or something happened to it, we purchased her a new seat. The second seat we bought was for our youngest. We originaly had it rare facing and set at a recline. Once it was time to forward face and adjust the recline, we had the same issue. The recline button was broken. We are now having to dish out even more money for a new carseat. Both carseats were installed and never taken out of the car or moved into another seat. Never mind the fact that it's a pain to install. Total waste of money.

I'm disappointed to say I have had this car seat for 3 years since my son came home from the hospital. Since it's been front facing it constantly tips over only when I make right turns, to the point where my passenger seat stays pushed all the way back to stop this from happening. I'm very diligent when installing and setting up my car seat and no matter how much pressure I apply I cannot get it to sit right so it won't tip over, even in other vehicles! I'm only making this review because I'm finally searching for a new car seat and I want to warn other parents, I wish I had returned it when we discovered this problem.

I got this car seat for my 27lb 19 month old as I switched her from the car seat she was in because I'm currently expecting my second. This car seat isn't bad to put back together / wash. But to install it over and over is not user friendly. I've never been able to tighten the straps to where the car seat is held against the seat properly. I wish I never would have bought this car seat. It's like the straps literally just don't get any tighter after a certain point, and when it gets there, it's still not tight enough to meet safety regulations. I won't buy this car seat or this brand of anything ever again.

My family loves this car seat, I bought one for my granddaughter 3 years ago, my daughter is now expecting another baby girl... And I quote, she texted me... "Mom all I want is for you to buy us a matching car seat for our newest daughter exactly the same one you got for Marcy... It has been perfect for us" So I'm going to. I'm also getting one for my other daughter, she's having a boy and this is her first. So I'll be ordering the dark pink and gray, and the black and gray!!! The first time I installed this car seat, I couldn't get the seat to tighten down. The second time, I really took the time and broke down the car seat and realized the top belt has twisted, which was not letting me tighten the seat down. Once the twist was fixed, the car seat is not going ANYWHERE. It's secure as can be. Little guy who is almost two years old seems to be comfortable during the ride! We are using it upright, as he likes to look through the windshield and point at things. It seems to be sufficient and safe. Hopefully, we never have to find out how well it works in an accident.

I have been in search of a great car seat that can grow with my family and this is it. I have been using this car seat as a rear facing seat for my toddler. The superior safety with Air Protect®, an advanced cushion system that provides extra protection that makes me feel better driving and him comfortable. I am an on the go mom so easy cleaning is so important to me for the leaking bottles and the crumbs from toast. It's machine washable and dryer safe seat pad, unsnaps and lifts away quickly from the seat frame for truly easy cleaning. My son has just reached 30 lbs and is too big to be rear facing. It was so easy to switch the car seat to front facing and it just as comfortable for my toddler.

We have had this seat for over 6 months. It was originally installed in a 2010 Toyota rav4. It fit perfectly, it was a little harder to get the latch straps tight but I had my 10 yr old sit in it to help get it right enough. Last week we installed it in a 2018 dodge caravan and again rear facing it fits perfectly and I found if I leaned the seat back, latched it then leaned it forward it was tight and didn't budge. My son is 13 months old and weighs about 23 lbs and is 32 inches long. He still fits great rear facing. No issues with the straps being too tight or difficult to use.

This carseat has a major design flaw. Unless you have a large baby who does not need to be tightened down as far as my average size daughter, then the strap gets caught on the underside of the carseat. I have to squeeze my arm under the seat to pull the strap away from where it is catching on the carseat. The strap should slide easily, but it doesn't. The other option is to keep pulling and tugging until the strap "bumps" past the part it is caught on. I have contacted Safety 1st and am still waiting to hear from them a week later. The carseat is lovely, but not worth the pain!

We bought this as an upgrade seat when my child started to outgrow her infant carrier. My daughter seems very comfortable in this seat, but that is about the only pro I have for it. It must be installed on the passenger side in order to see the recline level and instructions. The recliner button is in a spot that cannot be reached after it is installed, and my biggest issue, is that the harness straps are impossible to tighten. I have had my husband pull with all his might and we still cannot get the straps to tighten. We cannot afford another car seat so we honestly do the best we can and hope for no accidents at the expense of my child's safety. I could NEVER recommend this seat to another parent. I worry every time we have to go somewhere. Your child's safety will be compromised if you use this seat.

We have bought and used TWO of these car seats. We loved it so much with my daughter, we got one for my some also. It is easy to install. I use the seat belt for the best fit but it also has the LATCH system. We switch vehicles often from my husbands car to mine and it takes us only a minute to install each time. We have washed the lining several times and still looks like new. My kids find them to be comfortable. Easy to loosen and tighten by pulling or pushing a button. I would recommend to anyone. If you are unsure how to install a car seat, please ask a certified technician in your area. Some seats will slip in leather and it is not the car seat but the car and there are ways to help it tighten. Love this seat!

Honestly I'm not too picky but wish I would've been more thoughtful before I purchased this car seat. I have it rear facing & it doesn't feel any type of secure. I kneel in the seat to get it as tight as I can and it still wobbles significantly. Not to mention it is really kind of hard to tighten and loosen, as a mom of multiple kids, makes it kind of a pain to change seats around. Also my son had a pretty nasty spit up not long after I purchased. So I took it apart to wash it...made the mistake of taking the straps out to soak them so they didn't smell like curdled milk. Took me HOURS to put the straps back in. Not the easiest to clean. And now they need to be cleaned again so I'm debating how clean is clean enough

This car seat has much more padding than usual and it is extremely soft. We like how many layers of padding it has, especially behind and on the sides of the head rest. This seat has been great for us. I do agree with a previous review that if your child is small, you have to really tug extra hard to get the strap to tighten to its full extent. So to get it that tight it has to be pulled until it gets stuck, then you have to pull it even harder until it releases from the stuck position...kind of strange but we make it work. Other than that its been a great car seat.

My daughter started in an infant car seat (uncomfortable) would cry every ride we switched her to the grow and go safety 1st was great for awhile now we are having lots of issues she is almost 7 months months 15lbs 4oz I have to tighten the restraint system at the base after every 45 minutes of driving if I don't she ends up sideways mind you there were no instructions corporate office told my husband and I it was more "earth friendly that way "they then sent us to a "car seat specialist" she said she couldn't figure out why it was doing such thing the company has refused to take any responsibility for their product even with my receipt they responded with it may not be compatible with all vehicles which was never stated

My son loves his seat, it's comfortable and big enough that he doesn't seem "squished" in it. He looks out the window and falls asleep. The install was next to impossible even in my big suburban I still have to have the front seat slid forward and more upright to get the recline right. I absolutely hate cleaning this! The fact that my son is so comfortable in it and it does have good safety ratings is the only reason I still use it. The adjustable headrest has foam sides that broke off on mine and I'm having issues finding out if it's still safe to use.

This was such a difficult care seat to install. I Had to have my husband tighten it while I pushed it into place with all my weight. Now that we finally have it in it seems to be nice and secure. But sometimes I wonder still if It is tightened enough! Not to mention the chest straps are the most difficult things to tighten and loosen. I hardly have enough strength to secure my daughter in. More worrisome though I'm afraid if I need to get her out of the vehicle quickly I will be unable to do so because of how hard it is to loosen the chest straps as well! When she is rear facing and in a fully reclined position her head also continues to fall forward if she is napping in the vehicle. It looks great, but has not proven to be easy to use.

My son and I were in a car accident that totalled my car this past weekend. We were both okay, I walked away with minor injuries and my son had not even a small bump. He stayed completely safe and unharmed in his carseat to the point that he didn't cry longer than about 30 seconds before he was playing with me to keep him distracted while we waited for the ambulance and fire fighters to show up. Highly reccomend and I will be replacing his carseat with the exact same one he was using! It kept him safe and has made this mama a 100% safety 1st user!

This car seat is awesome for a parent like me who has three kids in car seats at the same time. It fits great next to another car seat in the middle row of our SUV. It was also a great purchase for our budget since I will be able to convert it once my 3 year old needs a booster. Super easy to install and very comfortable padded seat. Having the cup holders is also convenient for drinks and as a catch-all for small items my son loves to take on rides. Unfortunately I didn't have this item when my son was an infant, but wish I did.

First I love the seat, great concept 1 car seat for the newborn to child age. However I have a Jeep Wrangler 4 door and it doesn't sit in the seat very well. Tends to tip easy. Just doesn't allign with the vehicle ????‍♀️. Also my granddaughter is just over 10 months old (Covid baby born in April 2020) and the chest clip is broke. It won't click/snap. We haven't traveled much due to Covid therefore haven't used this car seat often and the chest clip is broke. We have contacted the company by email we will see what happens.

When my daughter was 8 months old we bought her this seat. My 2 children are 13 months apart and when my son was 7 months old he was outgrowing his bucket seat & we ended up in a TBone accident. Both children were completely fine. My daughter was 18 m & her door took the impact. She was fine. With the insurance's okay to buy 2 more seats exactly like this! we opted to buy two more of these seats & have loved them. Weve used them in a Sorento, a truck, vans, cars & all perfect fits & easy to install! So easy to clean too!

Once you figure out how to install these, they arent complicated. but i agree, the initial installs are not user friendly. I feel like my children are safe. Its easy to take the covers off to wash. I love the double cup holders. I love that its the only seat you'll need for your child's entire carseat/booster needs. My only real complaint is that you select a color you like... And when all the infant padding comes out, youre left with a grey carseat. That defeats the purpose of chosing a color in the first place...

We bought this seat for my daughter before she was even born (purchased Sept 2015, she was born March 2016) and have absolutely loved it every step of the way. I have never had a problem with the straps sticking and I'm not even 100lbs. I trust this seat 110%. We have even taken it out of my Suburban to clean and readjust straps and will flip my daughter upside down holding the seat and she never moves (and thinks it's hilarious too). My husband and I are both on the volunteer fire department and love this seat.

Awful. Absolutely awful. The seat is incredibly hard to install without throwing your entire body weight into it, from over the passenger seat. I have a small car, so I can't stand up in my car to install it. The harness will NOT tighten or loosen easily. It is incredibly frustrating to gather the slack from behind the seat, to then pull the tail at the child's feet to tighten. When installed with the seat belt, the car seat tilts to one side, where the belt splits off into the shoulder belt and lap belt.

I use this car seat for my toddler and I love it! She loves it as well. She's been using it since she was 1.5 years old and is now 3 and still in it! Great quality, easy to maintain for the most part and the cup holders on both sides are awesome! The harness holders are seriously a life saver! I now have a newborn and I'm already excited to get him the same car seat! Highly recommend! The car seat is pretty light too and easy to install if you don't have the child/ baby in the car seat while you are doing so.

This car seat absolutely saved my son's life. We were in a bad accident less than a month ago, when someone blew a stop sign. We were driving on a main road, where we had no stop sign and we ended up hitting the vehicle at 60mph. My car is totaled, my mother received injuries to her heart, I received injuries to my head, knee, burns to my legs, and more. But my son? Walked away with one very minor scratch and a minor cut from bitting his tongue. Hands down, this car seat is the reason he was kept so safe.

My mom, 2year old, and myself were involved in a high speed rear end collision. We were hit by an SUV who had failed to slow to traffic he was going 80MPH. My mom and I were badly injured and hospitalized. My daughter walked away with a small scratch on her neck from the harness. That's it!! Her car seat in perfect condition would never guess it was in such a bad accident. Will be replacing her seat with another Safety 1st and will never buy another seat brand ever. I bought this car seat for my daughter 14 month old, who's 27 pounds. My state law says they have to be 30 pounds to front face so I rear faced her which I planned to do anyway. No. Matter. What. We. Did. The car seat tips over when you turn. We tried and tried and read the manual over and over did everything the way it says and still. So for right now, I have to front face. Being three pounds shy isn't that big of a deal. She meets the hight requirement already but I'm pretty dissatisfied.

We purchased this for our daughter and at the beginning had no issues. About 6 months later the strap to tighten down all the straps gets caught and doesn't want to move past a certain area. Her chest clip doesn't want to latch or stay latched which is a huge concern for me whenever I put her in the car. I contacted customer service and have never heard back. It's been a year since I contacted them and still no response and now I'm worried I won't be able to get a replacement one

My 7 month old definitely appreciates the fact that this car seat is more open and not as confined as his infant car seat! The cup holders are great distractions while on a car ride (i hide toys in there to keep him busy). It fits nicely in my Camry, which i was pleasantly surprised about! Only downside is that installation is a bit difficult! Im a fairly small girl and have small hands, but i still struggled to get the seatbelt through the hole to fasten the seat in!

Only complaint is that the harness straps are difficult to tighten as others have mentioned. I always have to tell my daughter to move her hand so I can brace myself on the cup holder and PULL! She's almost big enough to transition to the booster and I can't wait so I don't have to deal with the harness straps any longer. My son is in a Graco and the difference in tightening the straps makes me wish I would've spent the extra money and got a Graco for her too.

We just got this car seat and it looks like a nice sofa chair for our little one, beautiful, comfy and resistant! Our boy hasn't tried to get out from it which is the best thing for a mom that sometimes drives alone . we love it and he loves it as well! We got this car seat mostly because it's well adjustable so it will never end to surprise us in the future. We're now on stage 18 months and we're looking forward to all the next steps this seat has to offer.

I live this seat it's easy to install and adjust. Only downside is rearfacing takes up alot of room. You need a roomy vehicle to put it in correctly. I have a Buick enclave and it fits fine but whatever seat it's behind has to be picked up a bit. We have it behind the passenger side and it's not to bad. Once we turned it around forward facing it's even better. So easy to adjust in hight. I live not having to take the whole thing apart just to adjust straps.

We purchased two of these to have a second set of car seats for my husband our kids are 1 and 3 so we have one rear facing and one forward facing. These are absolutely so difficult to install it's ridiculous my husband and I together couldn't get them tight enough to where we'd feel comfortable driving. The latch straps are poorly designed, the head rest is hard to adjust and the harness feels cheaply made. We ended up returning and going back to Graco.

We love this carseat! My husband had no issues installing it and our son loves it! We started using this carseat when our son was 3months old (he is now 18mths old). The only problem I have is that it can sometimes be difficult to get the straps tightened enough... they do tighten but at times it can be difficult to get it done. Considering the price and the rest of the pros regarding the carseat we are fine having to spend some extra time tightening.

Was not difficult to install. I feel like the chest straps are never toght enough and very difficult to pull tight. I actually did a video conf with a staff from safety 1st and saw I didn't have the straps through the right loop. I adjusted it..while now I can't tighten the straps properly, it is very difficult to pull. Even my husband has a hard time with it. I probably will just spend the extra money next time and get something of better quality.

My husband and I both have this car seat for our 2 yr old, both of us experience the same issues. You can not tighten the harness after a few uses so she can now get her arms through. No matter much you tighten and readjust the car seat when installing it, it will loosen and move around and this is just after a few times in/out of the seat. I moved the headrest up and now it rattles when she is not in the car. Very unhappy with this purchase

I seen this while pregnant and thought it was perfect and economically strategic …. But it has been a headache since I've started using it. Now that I finally understand how to strap it in, it never sits flat on the seat, and if it's angled they suggested "put a towel underneath it"… Absolutely not. And it's a hassle to tighten, it needs constant adjusting and it sits at an angle because of the seat belt.. so it is definitely not for all cars !

We have 2 cars but only had 1 car seat. I did a lot of investigating and chose maxi cosi. I was excited to receive this and see that it is nearly the same. It had the same great safety features and my toddler was comfortable in it. She liked the head rest better in the safety first than the dorel. They are basically the same car seat and I've yet to see why i spent more on the Maxi Cosi. I'd definitely recommend safety first in the future.

J'ai eu un excellent service après vente. Le banc est très bien, s'ajuste facilement pour la grandeur, les supports à harnais de chaque côté très pratique, les portes-gobelets s'enlèvent bien pour le nettoyage. Fait pour plusieurs années. Le seul point négatif au niveau de l'ajustement du harnais en face avant, il est plus difficile à bien ajuster si je compare avec le evenflo que j'ai. Mais somme toute je recommande ce banc sans hésiter.

My daughter has been in this seat for 2.5 years. It's comfortable, smooth and soft. She likes sitting in it. She likes the cup holders. The fabrics still look brand new, and I've removed and washed them several times. I'm not sure why people are saying it's hard to install, we've used several different seats in the past for my older kids and they al install the same way. Not exactly easy, but no harder than any other seat I've used!

We have literally only had our 3-in-1 convertible car seat in aqua pop for not even a year and one of the attatchments has COME OFF leaving the end of a screw exposed and sticking out!!! Are you kidding me?! We have loved this car seat until this point! This is soooo dangerous!! Absolutely disappointed!! All of my children have had this brand car seat but I'm second guessing it now!! This is so dangerous and unacceptable for the price!!

My toddler loves his new car seat; but installing it has been a pain in the butt. There is physically almost no room to maneuver your hand and the seatbelt to install the car seat. My somewhat small hand has gotten painfully stuck each time I have had to install the car seat, and/or switch vehicles. Overall though, the seat seems to be a well-made car seat and my son enjoys sitting and sleeping in it during car rides.

I received this car seat for my third child. Over the years, I have purchased several different brands of car seats for my children. With my first child ten years ago, I had purchased a Safety 1st convertible car seat. I didn't love it. This new Grow and Go seat is so much better. It's great that it will grow with my child. I love that you can install this car seat with a seat belt. Having the seatbelt install is a game changer when you are switching the seat out of different cars. I did love the colors and the material of this seat. The seat looks very classy and nice in the interior of my car. I also love how sturdy this car seat it. I don't like that the car seat was just placed in a giant box for shipping. There is no plastic protection, so be sure it won't be left in a wet spot when delivered. So far I haven't had any issues. In the beginning I did experience issues with tightening the harness straps like everybody else is mentioning BUT what I realized is that both the harness straps and the headrest have to be in the correct position. I feel that's the reason why it was hard to tighten to the straps because it was lined up incorrectly. After figuring that out I no longer experience that issue anymore.

We used to dread long car rides with our 6-month old because the seat we had just wasn't comfortable. He would get squirmy very quickly trying to find a relaxed position for himself, and all diaper situations resulted in up-the-back messes because the seat didn't support his body correctly. The minute we put him in the Safety 1st Grow and Go seat we could tell the difference. He is all smiles for every ride! He is able to drink his bottle and fall asleep comfortably, and all diaper situations stay where they belong - in the diaper! Cheers to long car rides with way fewer pit stops! Safety 1st also makes installation easier by offering video tutorials for ideal visual guidance. The only reason it's not a full 5-star review is because we can't seem to get the head support cushions low enough to really hug his neck so when he falls asleep his head tends to fall forward.

I was in my first and hopefully never again car accident my car is ok and can be fixed thankfully cuz I love that car and can't afford another one and this car seat kept my almost 2 year old daughter safe she didn't get scared or anything so I thankful for this car seat that kept my Princess safe and thankful it covered to get it replaced by my insurance safety 1st definitely done well when they made this seat

I have had this carseat close to a year now and still loving it! My son first started using it at 7months old and he has loved it ever since. I love that it grows with the child, it's very padded and comfortable, easy to install, compact, the padding comes off so easily to wash which is a big positive for me. For the quality of this carseat it comes at a great price. I have had no issues with it.

This seat is super lightweight, took like five seconds to install, is SO CUTE (I got the vitamint color) and is super easy to get baby in and out of. My baby is so comfy in this seat, and we'll never have to buy another one. Seriously budget friendly, and has all the bells and whistles I wanted without being over $200. #sweepstakes I don't even have to loosen the straps to get her in and out :)

This carseat is SO LARGE!!!!!! It will not properly sit rearfacing in either of the two vehicles I have!!! I first tried it in my fiance's Ram 1500 and the backseat is WAY to small for any of the settings. Now I missed the deadline waiting to get me a car just knowing it would fit. Guess what I was wrong. I should have sent it back because it doesn't fit in a dodge grand caravan either!!!!

Seat moves more than 1 inch in belt path, me and my husband have both uninstalled and installed it multiple times using our body weight and pulling the belt as fae as it will go and it still moves and if I brake the seat moves, shes forward facing and its just very difficult all around, I need a new seat. I have tried reaching out to customer service with no help.

Major flaw to an otherwise great car seat. It doesn't ever get tight enough to be safe. We read all the articles, watched the help video that customer service suggests, etc. We've had friends try to see if they could do it, tried the car seat in 2 different cars, still no luck. It moves around too much and also keeps leaning towards one side. Bummer!

The strapping system is a big pain. I can't secure the seat properly to keep it from moving. Looking into a new unit from another manufacturer. The store won't take it back since I've had it for awhile. It worked great in rear facing mode not not in front face mode. Supper sad about this car seat as I thought I made a good investment for my daughte.

I was so excited when I got this for my daughter. I adjusted everything then put it in our truck and it wouldn't tighten. We've also tried putting it in 3 other vehicles. I've tried to tighten it, my husband, his brother in law and my dad all tried to tighten it and it doesn't. It's super unsafe and is so loose. Even with the seat belt strapped in.

This car seat is super easy to instal, and very light weight. My youngest daughter is using it at the moment and she loves it. I really like cup holders, they come in handy especially on longer car trips. This product is definitely one of the better car seats we have tried in my family. I'm excited to use other products from this brand.

my wife drives drives a 2014 equinox and this car seat doesn't recline far enough and my daughters head tilts forward to much, I read up on the problem online and found there solution is to put a rolled up towel or pool noodle under the front of the car seat to help it recline more. I don't find that to be an executable solution

Easy to install and we love the car seat overall. However, we received 2 as part of our registry, one is missing the anchors. I've contacted customer service multiple times about getting them fixed or our seat replaced, and gotten no response. In my opinion, anchors = safety, so I'm not sure why they're ignoring me on this one.

It's big & heavy, so not convenient for transferring between vehicles, obviously can't take it on a plane. I got it heavily discounted when babies r us went out of business. I used it for my oldest for awhile, but at 4yrs she started to complain about it being uncomfortable so we got her a harness booster and used this for our son. Around a year old, he started having issues with the seat. He would just start screaming out of nowhere- saying "ow, help!" & trying to get out. It turns out when he would get sleepy the crotch buckle was hurting his privates. We had to get him another seat. Now my third is 2 & she's starting to scream about going in the seat. She has a tranzitions seat by Franco in her father's car & loves it, no issues. So I think the shape of the seat is a problem for them. Seems to work fine until their legs are hanging, so useless forward facing unless you have deep seats or the seat in front of them is far enough back they can put their feet up on it.

We have 3 of these we got for my son a couple years ago and they all have the same issues of being so hard to tighten the straps! It was ok when rear facing and we could guide the straps down the back with one hand and pull with the other, but now that he's forward facing it's almost impossible to tighten properly!

I would buy this car seat again and again - and I DID! We were in our minivan and got hit hard. My husband and I covered in bruises and burns, my ankle sprained, the van was totaled. My three and five year old did not have a single scratch. These seats saved their lives and I immediately bought the exact same ones.

This is an excellent convertible car seat. It fits great in my midsize car, we have washed it many times and it always looks new again. My 22 month old daughter is comfortable and we found it super easy to adjust since she's growing so fast. The car seat is lightweight and easy to install. No complaints here.

I loved the color options for this car seat, and first impression when we opened up the box was great quality and comfortable pillows/seat for kiddo. It was easy to adjust as my daughter got bigger and went from rear facing to front facing, and I am really satisfied with this seat overall! Would buy again.

Bought this about a year ago for my growing boy. He grew out of his infant carrier at 8 months old so my husband and I did some research and wanted something safe for a good price and found this one. I really love it! I'll be buying another one for our other vehicle and for other children we may have.

This car seat is perfect !! Yes, it's bulky, and yeah it's a Lil heavy but honestly, that's what I want my son's car seat to be because it makes me feel like it's a little safer for him than those tiny lightweight things lol. My son loves it as well its got all the right stuff in all the right places

This car seat is poorly constructed. The tether(anchor) strap is not long enough for my Ford Explorer technically making any installation incorrect. Wish I knew this before purchasing. The shoulder straps also get stuck while tightening and it takes a lot of muscle to pull tight. Do not purchase!

It was extremely difficult to install. It took both my husband and myself to get it tight enough. We also had to add pool noodles to get it level enough that my daughter wasn't leaning forward even when reclined all the way back. And I don't feel I get the chest clip tight enough to support her.

I have had this car seat for almost a year and my daughter loves it. I have a smaller car so her head falls forward when she falls asleep but she moves it when she is uncomfortable. All the reviews about not being able to tighten it I don't understand because I haven't had an issue with that.

I was in a hit and run accident my wife and kid were in the backseat and the seat didn't move much when the airbags went off he was completely fine and safe just scared from the noise my wife was launched into it and was fine too I will buy this again and again just from how solid they are

I love this seat! I was able to install it in minutes and with incredible ease. The color is great and matches all of my daughter's accessories. I love that this is the only seat I'll ever need since it grows with my daughter (and super easy to clean!). I highly recommend this car seat.

It's pretty and has all the fun features I was looking for, plus it's also super functional. It's easy to wash, the cupholders are removable and can be put in the dishwasher, it reclines to multiple positions for safety and comfort, and it'll grow with my child. So happy with it!

This convertible car seat has been a great backup carseat for my family. It is very light compared to other carseats we have, so this will probably be our go to travel seat. Our 12 month old daughter rides it in comfortably, while our three year old who is still rear facing is a little long legged for it. It was very easy to install using the latch system, and since the cup holders are easily removable for cleaning, I routed the latch strap through to get an even tighter install (see photo). We received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel; aside from lack of legroom while rear facing, this is a great car seat option.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat. I like that it goes from infancy through childhood. First thing I noticed was how much lighter this was to the other car seats I have. I like that it has a place to keep the buckles out of the way when putting my child in the seat. My daughter said it was comfortable. It was easy to adjust it to her height. I didn't like the soft plastic of the cup holders and would prefer a smooth plastic that is easier to wipe clean. I didn't have to wash the cover, but I like that it is machine washable. It was the same as installing other car seats with the latch system. Overall this is a great car seat that I would recommend.

I purchased this car seat in the beautiful Purple they have for my daughter! She was only 4 months old when we started to use is because her infant car seat was a little too snug (she's a chunker) lol Sooo I purchased this one and I absolutely love it! She's now 10 1/2 months and rides forward facing since it's like 22lbs to face forward. She loves it as well it's so snug and comfy! Super easy to clean also! I highly recommend!!

My daughter needed a new car seat and i came across this one and I'm so glad i did because it's amazing! My daughter loved it so much when it first arrived that she wanted to try it out and ended up getting comfortable in it with her blanket and everything. One of the best seats I've bought! I have the pink one and just love how it pops! A few things I don't like we're the strap pads and car seat inserts. They could be a pain and get in the way so I just took them out. My little one will ride in this seat for hours with no fussing vs other seats little one will throw a fit. It seems to have good cushion to it.

As a participant in the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was eager to receive and try out the Safety 1st Grow and Go car seat. Because the weather has been so cold, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my daughter in the car. The extra cushioning around her head provides more comfort as well as peace of mind for me. Installation was very simple and even moving the seatbelt height for her was painless. I love the fact that this seat will last until she no longer needs one. Baby items are so quickly outgrown and duplicated expenses really add up. This is a perfect "one and done" option. The adaptability is my favorite feature.

I was looking for an affordable option for a grow/go car seat for my baby, and this pleasantly surprised me. First of all, taking it out of the box, it is gorgeous. I am in love with the colors. And it looks so comfy, which I need because my baby hates the car seat! It was pretty easy to install, and it fits well in the back of our car with another seat. However, it is not narrow, so you most likely wouldn't be able to fit three car seats across with this one. Overall, for the price point, this is a great option.

. I was able to install it very easily and quickly, without a second try it was very secure and it didn't move. Love the fact that you can recline it in different positions. We went for a road trip four hours away and my 10 month old baby was very comfortable in it. The 2 cup holders will be very good for her later, but they are already helpful to me to put her bottle, snack cup, pacifier or even her headbands when they fall off. It is just helpful to have things handy and not rolling around in the car. I love that the back of the seat is higher than her head. It also has extra cushion that you can eliminate later when your child is bigger. And besides all that it's very stylish. . It's been approximately a month now that we have been consistently using this product and my husband and I are quite satisfied.

We traded in our two previous car seats for these almost two years ago, and it's the best car seat we've ever had. My oldest, who is now four, and my youngest, who is now two, love their car seats, and don't complain when we have to make long car rides. I feel at ease that my boys are the safest they could be. They are on the bigger side, so especially if you're going to have more than one, I would recommend a larger vehicle.

Straps are hard to tighten sometimes one side tightens more than the other. I guess one side is getting stuck. Doesn't feel very secure in the car. Takes up so much room since it has to recline so far to be parallel with the road. Straps cut into baby so I had to put the covers back on but the covers fit weird. Has the old style clips for the anchors. I will switch to graco or evenflo like my friends and family use.

It looks so comfy for my sweet little man and he seems to enjoy riding in it (which is sometimes more than I can say about the one his grandparents use to take him around! This convertible seat had quite a few pros with a couple of notable cons. PROS: - cushy and comfy - easy to adjust shoulder strap height - two cup holders ?? - I found it easy to get safely tight and high on chest clip (my husband didn't but this could be that I'm the better parent ?? ) - I will say I'd be comfortable using it for a newborn, which is hard to say usually for Convertibles. CONS: - for us the install required the latch system. We just could not get it tight enough without that. Easy enough but a consideration. - my husband noted that the straps adjusted in such a way that they could accidentally be asymmetrical. So one side would be tight but greed realize that the other side was still loose. - the top levers for adjusting the head and shoulder strap height rattles when there isn't a child in the seat. I am so excited that we found this car seat! We now have one car seat that will grow with my son instead of getting 3/4 different ones! The best part is it is so roomy and comfy too which I know my son loves! It was also really easy to install, super happy with it!!

I was given this convertible car seat to try as a part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The design of this car seat was simple and functional. I love that it can grow with my child from infancy through childhood. It even includes inserts for the newborn stage. As soon as we unboxed the car seat, my 20-month old started crawling towards it. He was so excited to sit in it and even let me strap him in before we installed it in the car. It only took my husband a few minutes to install the car seat - very easy with the LATCH system. We've mostly utilized this car seat as a rear-facing seat and have been impressed by the amount of room it allows for the driver's seat to recline back in a sedan. We did a trial with it forward-facing to allow our 3-year old to test out the car seat. Both kiddos seem comfortable riding in the car seat, and it was super easy to adjust from our 1-year old to our 3-year old. My favorite feature of this car seat is that the covers are machine washable and dryer safe! The two cup holders are also a bonus!

I received this car seat through the stellar product testing panel, all opinions are my own. I installed this car seat rear facing for my 2 year old. I was not too pleased with the install process using latch. I wish it had rigid latch anchors. I found it difficult to get a tight install. I did not try installing with the seatbelt. The main problem I had with this car seat was with the metal pins in place to move the headrest/harness up and down. I had to adjust it for my son. I noticed while driving, that these metal pins rattle constantly. I couldn't get it to stop. What I do like about this car seat is that my Son seemed very comfortable in the seat. It was easy to get him in and out and I appreciated the buckle holders on the sides. The recline settings were simple and good. I also think that for the price and being a 3-in-1 product that it is a fantastic deal. Although it wasn't my favorite rear facing, I am looking forward to trying it forward facing when my son is ready (he is about 30 lbs now and the seat goes up to 40lbs RF).

First off, I received this carseat for free as a member of the Stellar Product Testing panel. My toddler that I am using it for is almost 2 years old, 23 lbs and still rear facing. I read through some of the other reviews and I will say that I have not tried the seat in a forward facing position, nor have I used it for long since Covid and winter weather have us mostly housebound right now. I found the seat very simple to install in the rear facing position. The straps and level of recline were very easy to adjust. My toddler seems to be positioned comfortably and securely. One unique feature of the seat is the pair of plastic "strap holders" on either side-I have not seen this on other seats but the idea is to slip the buckle into these when putting the child in or taking him/her out so that the straps are held out of the way. I will have to use it a bit more to know whether this will be really useful, but I think the idea is great and I hope it will help prevent the straps from getting twisted up- a problem I tend to have with other carseats.

We just upgraded my son from his newborn carrier seat to this convertible seat and we are so glad we chose those One! It was very easy to install, easy to clean, and so easy to take my son in and out. Would definitely recommend!

This car seat is absolutely wonderful, my daughter hated her infant seat so this upgrade was a must. There is 2 installation methods and the manual is easy to use.

I really want to like this seat. It's really cute and it looks very comfortable. BUT there are a few things about it that are becoming deal breakers for me. I've had this seat for my daughter for about a year now and she is 3.5 years old forward facing for about 6 months since she is at the limits for rear-facing. The first thing I don't like about it is it rattles! The knobs that are used to adjust the headrest seem to be a horrible design allowing them to rattle constantly. It's not too bad when my daughter is in the seat but if she's not I have to throw something over the seat to it quieter. The second thing is the crotch buckle seems to be digging into her belly. She has been complaining a lot of her stomach hurting while in the car and I had been thinking maybe it was car sickness but recently noticed marks on her stomach where the buckles seem to be pressing into it. The straps are not over tightened but the crotch buckle seems to be quite long making it rest high up and dig into her stomach. I am currently looking for a new seat for her as I feel the crotch buckle makes it unsafe and is causing her a lot of discomfort.

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat to try out. First off, it is soft, cozy and to my 23 month old apparently very comfy. It was/is very easy to install. We were able to test it out both with our other car seat still in the car as well as in a 2nd vehicle by itself. So installation is a breeze. The fact that my 23 month old is so tiny and will be rear facing for quite awhile helps with this roomy multi way car seat. She is only 21lbs so she has a ways to go before we will forward face her and we feel this seat is safe to keep rear facing. This car seat also can go not only rear and forward facing, but into a booster which we had our 5 year old test out and she loved it (especially the easy to clean and not so bulky cup holders). The fabric is nice and feels plush but not too plush. The car seat is no heavier than any others on the market and will easily transition for our little one for years to come. She was so excited when we first took it out of the box, that she climbed right in it and sat down. The chest piece is a little big on her but she doesn't cry too much once we start moving. Is it the best car seat out there? Probably not, but all have flaws in my opinion.

My 1.5 year old was beyond due for a switch from her infant seat to a convertible car seat in my husbands truck. Since the kids aren't in his truck too often we had previously purchased an inexpensive car seat for my son and planned to stretch the use of our infant seat as long as we could for our daughter. Well, that's when Stellar Product Testing Panel sent us this car seat to try out. When we took it out of the box, my daughter wouldn't get out of it. She thought it was great! We were super excited, installed it the day it came and took my husband truck out for a drive around. Firstly, he's no pro but he had this car seat installed through his latch system in about 30 seconds. There are 3 recline seatings depending on which was the seat will be facing, how much baby weighs and etc. we chose the setting that worked for us and boom, in it went. Second, adjusting the height of the head rest and shoulder straps was a breeze. You simply turn to handles and lift up. There is no rethreading the straps into new slots, which I absolutely love especially since children grow so quickly. Overall, it's a wonderful car seat. It's safe, easy to install, easy to use and comfortable. We are thinking about buying one to replace our sons seat.

We received the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel program and were so excited. When we first saw the seat we loved how compact it was and knew it would be a better fit for our car, but were disappointed when we installed it. We first tried the latch system and we could never get it snug enough. We tried installing the car seat in the other two seats in our car and had the same result. We then decided to try installing the car seat with the seat belt. We did manage to have a tighter fit, but still too loose to be safe and the seat was still loose enough to flip completely forward (my child is still rear facing). My husband and I both tried and had the same result. We even FaceTimed a friend who uses the seat and we couldn't figure out why it was so loose even though we followed all the steps. At the end I think it might be the incline of our seat pans in the back seat that don't fit with the car seat. I like the idea of having the car seat grow with a child and we loved the size, but unfortunately it was not a good fit for our car. We did sit out baby in there just to test out the fit and he seemed fairly comfortable and I liked the chest harness clip and buckle a lot because it was not hard to unbuckle.

I had the pleasure of receiving the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel to test out with my three kids (7.5, 5, and 23 months). Pros: 1.)The style of the car seat is comparable to higher priced car seats in the same category. 2.) Cushions were simple and quick to remove when trying it out for all three kids. This will be especially useful for the times you might have to do more than a simple wipe down of the fabric. 3.) Switching from rear-facing to front-facing is a breeze. This will also be useful if I need to pick up other nieces/nephews in the future. 4.) it's lightweight which will make it nice to travel by plane if we need to in the future. Cons: 1.)Adjusting the headrest was a bit tight and cumbersome; required both hands to make adjustments to height for each age. 2.) Changing recline positions were also a bit tight/cumbersome which can be good or bad depending on if you are in a rush to get somewhere and need to the recline the seat quickly. 3.) Overall: It's a great value for the style. Being able to clean the parts where the kids tend to make the most messes are essential for those who can't stand looking at stained car seats. However adjusting the headrest and the recline level is a bit tough as it appears to require two hands and a little extra oomph.

Reading instructions, initial set-up, and getting acquainted with this new car seat only took about 30 minutes. I love that future car seat set-up and installation will be a breeze. My favorite thing about this car seat is that it will grow with my little one—we will be able to use this convertible car seat for many years! I like that in rear-facing mode there is a Level 2 for baby (manual states it's safe as long as baby can sit-up unassisted on their own) to sit-up a bit more—but, I didn't feel baby was ready for Level 2, even though developmentally she can sit-up on her own. Our first drive, she fell asleep—and her head hung forward, I pulled over and set it back to Level 1—which was easy! I'm definitely looking forward to using Level 2 when baby is older, but still rear-facing. Baby seems much more comfortable & happy in the Safety 1st Grow & Go than her previous car seat—there is ample padding, its an easy buckle-up system, and I can rest assured—she's safe. I like that the padding comes out easily—without unstrapping the harness—for easy machine-washing—for the inevitable blow-out, spit-up, or food crumbs. Another feature I adore—both cup holders are removable, and dishwasher-safe for easy-cleaning. Overall, this car seat exceeds my expectations!

I love this seat! Let's start with the HIGH HIGHlights: -It's SO light for a 3 in 1 seat. I can carry it with one hand. I'm only 5' 2", that's such a feat for me. Usually, I'm struggling to lug car seats around, stopping for breaks to change my grip. This seat is a breeze to carry. Literally my absolute favorite thing about this seat. -It has clips to hold the chest straps out of your way and a little holder for the crotch buckle! I hate digging those out from under my babies once they're in the seat. I always snag my jewelry! This saves me that. -Quick adjusting to fit my daughter (4) or my son (1.5) There aren't a bunch of separate things you need to change to go from forward to rear facing, which is nice. We use this as a flex seat in my husband's car. -Easy enough for my husband to install alone, ha! -My daughter loves the padding on the straps to protect her neck, she says it "so comfy, mama" Just a few drawbacks I noticed -The fabric of the seat is kind of silky feeling, which I think will let go of stains nicely but I worry will start to pill eventually. - I don't love that I need both my hands to adjust the chest strap height. It just gets awkward when you're in a smaller car. - The cup holders are really skinny, my daughter's chunky cups don't fit which led to a lot of "daddyyyyy, can you get my drinkkkkk?" - It's a light car seat. I wasn't breaking my back to carry it out of the box and into the car. - The strap holders: GAME CHANGERS! I have another car seat with strap holders however they don't stay in. These holders ACTUALLY hold the straps in and it's 100% helpful. - Recline: There are 3 recline options for babies to grow with. This helps keep younger ones more reclined and safe then sitting up at a higher angle when they aren't ready to do so. - Removable Seat Pad/Head Pillow: I really enjoy this because I always worry that babies bottoms need to feel comfortable. It can be removed easily in case of an accident or if you opt to not use it. The head pillow seems to be more of an infant need but because it comes with the seat it's a lot more secure than buying an infant car seat insert which can affect the safety of the infant . - Long term use- Since this car seat grows with your child it makes it a perfect investment . Instead of having to buy an infant seat, then a convertible and then a booster you really get more of this. - Adjustability: everything on this seat is easily adjustable, from the harness to the headrest to the recline, everything is easily managed. - Size- This car seat is smaller than most convertible car seats allowing for front seats to not feel forced to be pushed up. When my husband drives my car he tends to recline the seat more and push it back due to his height. This seat allowed him to do so without feeling like the car seat was going to get pushed back. The design of this car seat has an answer to everything I've ever been annoyed with in my three previous car seats. The manual is great. I found it so much more informative than any other car seat manual I've read, and as I've said this is my fourth car seat. You can tell this company wants you to be able to safely and properly install the seat no matter what car you have. Oh, and there are airline instructions and the seat has the all important airline sticker on the side! They address any concern you could possibly have, and yet it doesn't seem like information overload. It just makes install really easy, and it gave me such confidence and peace of mind. It took just a couple of minutes to install and I know it's not going anywhere. Even though this is a convertible car seat meant to grow with your child, I was shocked by how light it is, but the quality is just outstanding. I was really impressed by the look of the seat. It looks and feels lux. My little one was so excited to ride in this seat. It cracked me up because she was actually ooh and ahh-ing. For the first time ever she could actually reach the cup holders in a car seat! Speaking of cup holders- they are removeable! For any parent who has ever had to clean out some sticky unidentified substance from their kid's car seat (so all all parents) you will love this seat. Also, another personal favorite- this seat has brackets on either side to hold the harness belts in place while you're putting your child in the seat. No more fishing out the belts from under a wriggling child and getting them horrifically twisted. They've thought of everything. Safety: check. Comfort: check. Ease of use: check. Looks: check. I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have tried two other brands of convertible car seat, one high end and heavy, and one basic economy seat. This is in the same price range as my economy seat but seems way nicer! Safety 1st did a nice job of throwing in the frills in all the right places. This seat is easy to install with the LATCH system. It's your basic LATCH clips, but with the added luxury of a great adjuster that makes it easy to get a tight install. If you don't have LATCH in your car, get a different seat that has a lock-off for the belt. I think it has to do with the design of the belt path, but I could push the seat over toward the center, even with a crazy tight seatbelt install. The seat is easy to adjust the height, and it's got great removable pads if you're starting off with and infant on board. The padding itself seems pretty plush and luxurious, and I LOVE that it's machine washable! The seat fits great in all three of our vehicles. The photo is in the back seat of our smallest car, and there's plenty of room for the passenger in front without the seat back touching the car seat (I'm 5'7" and hubby is 5'10"). The main reason I'm only giving this 4 stars is the bad seatbelt install path. In general, I prefer a seat that can do 50lbs rear-facing, but it's a moot point with this seat since most LATCH systems aren't rated for more than 40lbs (check your vehicle manual! Even if your car seat's LATCH is rated higher, you have to go with the LOWER number between the two!). So even if this seat was rated to 50lbs rear-facing, I'd have to turn my kids around after they outgrew the LATCH weight limit because the seatbelt install is not secure enough. All in all, a great seat for my family as a back-up in hubby's car, and a great pick if you don't want to break the bank but still want some nicer frills and features.

My first impression once I received the car seat was that it looked really nice. I loved the design of the adjustable headrest and the fabric was extremely soft. I loved that it came with 2 cup holders that removed easily for cleaning and a cushion around the crotch buckle. I also liked that it could transition with your child as they grow. I have 2 children, a 1 year old and a 6 year old. I tried this car seat in rear facing mode for my youngest and as a booster seat for my oldest. Installing rear facing was more difficult than other seats I've used over the years. Even though the seat came with extras, it lacked other features that I consider must haves like bubble levels on both sides and click Latch hooks. The level on this car seat was just a stripe raised on the plastic and only had information on how to level it for an infant. I was left nervous on if the car seat placement was safely installed for my 1 year old. The latch hooks were easy to click into the car but extremely difficult to unhook. It would be very difficult if this seat was needed to be moved into different vehicles regularly. I also found it very difficult to get a tight enough install. No matter how hard I pressed down, bearing all my weight while pulling on the strap, I could not get the seat to stay tight. I also used the seat in booster mode. Unfortunately my daughter found the seat to be very uncomfortable and we could not figure out how to keep the shoulder strap properly placed into the strap slot. The seat didn't seem to fit the best in the back of my caravan and it was difficult for my daughter to buckle herself into it. Overall, I thought the seat was just okay. My favorite feature was the ease in which you can adjust the harness height, but even with that great feature, I wouldn't recommend this seat to any of my friends. This is a very impressive car seat. I am using it for my seven-month old twins. It's larger than our previous car seats, and does not work with our double stroller, but it has many good qualities which definitely outweigh the bad ones. It's comfortable for the kids and lets them sit upright in a more healthy position than some of the slouchier ones on the market. The fabric is easy to clean, and the design is pleasing to the eye. The cup holders are fantastic. It's a sturdy car seat, and feels very secure. The construction is good quality, which is great for our frequent outings. It's also easy to get the kids in and out. I look forward to using it as they grow.

I have had quite a few car seats from various brands. It was so easy to install this car seat. We have to use the seat belt path and for some seats its very difficult. This one was fairly easy, and clearly marked. The slot was a little small, my husband has big hands and he had a little difficulty but was able to do it on his own. I love that it grows from infancy through childhood. It is not too heavy (another issue I have had before) and fits in 1 seat, not taking up the seat next to it. It also a has cup holder options for my kids water bottle. My little was comfortable and it seems very stable and safe. We received this Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in- One Convertible Car Seat to test out from Stellar Product Testing Panel and we absolutely love it! I use it in infant position for my 13 month old. He is 20 pounds, he is easy to put in this seat in rear facing position, and it looks like he loves all of the padded comforts of this seat! We then moved it to the forward facing position for our 38 pound 4 year old and it took less than 5 minutes to do! She was super comfortable in this seat also. This seat was easy to install both ways. The 3 reclining positions were easy to maneuver with a simple button. The padding is super easy to remove and my favorite feature is the quick fit harness! You don't have to take all of the straps apart to readjust as your child grows! The removable cup holders and the car seat padding is so easy to take out and clean when you have a big mess. I did adjust this seat to see if my 86 pound 7 year old would fit it into it to use as a booster seat with a seatbelt and he did not fit. I wouldn't recommend this for a child over 70 pounds. The seat wasn't wide enough for him and was not tall enough for him. Overall, I do really love this seat and all of its features and will continue to use it for my 13 month old as he grows.

I'm a NYS certified car seat inspector. I have never had issues with these seats before but the two that I have are the same design and so difficult to tighten. My 18 month is able to get her arm out of the harness. My husband can't even tighten the harness good enough. I can't find any recalls on this seat and I can't return it. I also can't wear to find a good number that allows me to speak to someone who will actually help.

I installed this car seat rear facing with the latch system in less than 5 min. It fits great in my tiny Prius C. The neural pattern will look great in any vehicle. Side impact protection is a must for me when picking out a car seat and the extra cushions will keep baby comfy and safe. This convertible car seat is lighter and more compact then my other one. The harness holding feature is my favorite! I hate putting baby's or toddlers in a car seat and trying to wrestle the buckles out from behind their back. My only downside is that I find it hard to unclip the latches when I need to take out the car seat, but thankfully I don't have to do that very often. We have been using this seat since my daughter was 7 months old. She is currently 16 months, 32 inches, and 27 pounds, happily rear facing until we reach the limits! Using recline 3 was a bit crowded but now that we are using recline 2 my 6' husband has plenty of room to drive our 2002 Kia Spectra comfortably. The only issue I have come across is when I used this seat for a friend's daughter who is in a booster. The top tether is a few inches from reaching the top tether anchor. I blame my vehicle for this, considering this is not the first seat (different brand) that the tether strap would not reach the anchor. Cleaning is super easy and it's a bonus that this seat allows SOME time in the dryer, compared to ones that only allow drip drying. As long as you read the manual front to back you shouldn't have any issues. If so, there are plenty of forums and websites to assist you!

We were happy to receive this product from the Stellar Panel product testing program. This car seat has everything you need; like the fuss free strap holders, top safety features, and easy to adjust for the growth of your child. My son is small for his age, he weighs 22lbs and is 16 months old. He fits perfectly, and is very comfortable. I drive a Chevy Malibu and there is still plenty of room in between his car seat and the front seat. My favorite features of this car seat are the fuss free strap holders, and the chest clip is wider compared to other brands. Making it very easy to get him in and out without a fight, and the wider chest clip feels very secure against his chest. However, it was not easy to install. It was very hard to get the straps tight with the latch system, and the latches are just carabiner style latches instead of buckle style latches. Which makes it harder to uninstall.

I love this car seat so much. I found it easy to install the car seat into my car. I love how easy it is to adjust the height of the back and headrest. It is easy to put my daughter in and out of the car seat with the inserts to hold the harness clips. I find it easy to clean and the fabric seems durable. The double cup holder is awesome and so very useful. My daughter sits nice and comfortably in the seat.

As a mom of a one year old, three year old, and four year old (almost five) we have been thru many car seats! I truly enjoy the ease of this specific car seat, as well as another Safety 1st All-In-One we own. The design of this car seat is GENIUS. I like that the headrest and harness adjustment is an easy one motion movement. (I included a photo of this particular feature) I absolutely detest having to pull out the straps, move every thing around, and adjust again when my littles hit a growth spurt. This feature is fantastic and a must have. Some other nice bonuses; my four year old was very comfortable in it, we enjoy the TWO cup holders, it's easy for me to install, and the infant pillows are easy to remove and put back. It is also surprisingly light weight! I gave it 5 stars because it does, and is, exactly what it advertises. No muss, no fuss, "grow and go". I love the design of this car seat. It's stylish and functional. I love that will adjust as my child gets older. This is for my fifth baby, but could easily use for the older kin. This car seat is just the best when it comes to comfort and safety. This seat has lots of padding and cushioning; behind head, over buckle straps, upper and lower sides of the body and the bottom itself. My child absolutely loves riding in it and has no complaints. It is easy to install and simple to install. My only complaint is that I wish it had quick release anchors and that it was little narrower. The two cupholders are the widest parts, but function really well as cup holder and snack holder. The cupholder has inserts that are removable for easy clean up. My favorite part is that when it's rear facing, it provides a ton more space for the seats in front. Don't know how they did it, but I used to have to sit with drivers seat forward more with previous car seats, but this one provides way more space and allow me to sit more comfortable up front. I received the Safety 1st Grow and Go car seat for evaluation from Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have two children similar in weight but completely different in build and age. This seat will work for either child. One can use it regularly forward-facing and the other can use it that way or as a booster. I like the amount of padding in this seat and both girls said it was nice to sit in. The two deep cup holders are a nice touch but they are not adjustable in size. I tested the fit of this seat in three different vehicles and it worked well in all of them. It fit well in the "captain's chair" seat of a 2013 minivan, the back seat of a 2015 Chrysler sedan, and the back seat of a 1997 Infiniti sedan. The Infiniti did not have the LATCH system but was still easy to install correctly. The chest buckle was a little difficult for an elderly adult with arthritis to undo. I had no difficulty with it. I think it is tricky enough a child can't undo it but an adult can. I have used other seats in the past that were more difficult to unbuckle. Overall, I recommend this seat for anyone who wants a sturdy, protective seat that grows with their child!

The Safety 1st Grow and Go All in One Convertible Car Seat is the newly beloved "big girl" seat for my almost 20 month old. It was very easy to install, even while standing in the cold rain, and I felt like the latch system got very tight and was easier to secure than other seats we have used. She has plenty of leg room and room to grow and seems to be very comfortable and more upright than in some other carseats. She also loves that she can stow toys or her water bottle in the cup holders. I personally love the dark fabric and the design of the seat, and love that the material can be machine washed! My favorite features are the extra side impact protection and the easy to adjust and tighten harness that give me peace of mind that my daughter is safe and secure when we venture out. One downside was that this seat does not fit easily in one of our cars in the rear-facing position, because it has a large footprint when reclined, but it will fit great when we can turn it forward-facing! We are excited to have this car seat with us through the booster seat phase and love that it can grow and go with us on all of our family adventures. This car seat has some great features. My son was very comfortable in the seat. It is well padded. He particularly liked the cup holders for storing toys, binks, and other random items! The Latch system made the car seat easy to install in the rear-facing position. It is one of the lightest car seats I have installed, and I was able to install it on my own. I love that the car seat will grow with my child, and that we would not need another car seat. The headrest was easy to adjust, and I liked that you did not have to rethread the harness in order to move the headrest. My only issue with the car seat, which ended up being a pretty big issue for me, occurred when my son was not in it. Unfortunately, once his weight was out of the seat, it made a consistent rattling sound. After some trouble-shooting, I determined that the sound was coming from the headrest. In order to resolve this issue, I have been putting my work bag in the seat, which is inconvenient. My concern is the construction on this seat is causing the issue. I have not yet reached out to the company about this, but I plan to. Other than that, we have enjoyed trying out this car seat. I received this convertible car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and was eager to test it out with our 18-month-old daughter. The aesthetic design of the seat is great! I love the neutral colors and the cushions/inserts are soft and comfy for our daughter. The buckle and headrest were easy to adjust to fit her height and size. I like that it can be used from infancy through childhood, but our daughter's legs were pretty cramped up in the rear-facing mode and I wish this seat had an extendable footrest to prolong rear-facing mode. The chest clip and bottom clip were easy to fasten, but the chest clip is a bit difficult to release. Installation was more difficult than other car seats I have tried; the LATCH system was a bit tricky since we had to thread the strap through the seat ourselves, and tightening was difficult. I wish there was more of a level-reader than just a basic level line. I also noticed that the seat makes a loud rattling noise when driving without baby in the seat. The cup holders are great and easy to remove for cleaning, as is the upholstery. Overall, because of the appealing aesthetics and tested safety features (and overall cushiness/comfort for our daughter), I am happy to have this seat as a backup or for a second car.

The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is amazing. I love that this car seat is lightweight and super easy to install with the anchor option or seat belt option, making it the perfect car seat if your budget allows for just 1 car seat purchase but you need to change it to multiple vehicles. Speaking of budget, I also love that you can use this car seat for years! It is safely made from newborn up to 5 year of age. I use it for my 21 month old but I played around with the adjustments settings and I am very pleased with how easy it is to adjust to the multiple size settings. Literally it's a couple of clicks here and there for each age/stage. And it moves smoothly and easily. There are lots of instructions on labels around the car seat so if you lose your manual or forget, they made both written and photo keys to help you. There are some nice safety features on this car seat that really help me in my confidence of its safety for my baby. It has extra structural support in the side impact safety and just the right padding to keep baby as comfortable as possible but not too bulky so that the harness still fits properly and secure to baby's body. The other important part of this car seat in my opinion is the comfort. My 21 month old tested it out inside while I was playing with the adjustments before installing in my car and I could not keep him out of it lol! He was climbing in it and totally relaxing in it. He loved it! Once installed in the car, he has not once fought me when it's time to get buckeld in to go somewhere. There's lots to love about this car seat with removable cup holders and adjustable headrests, but my two favorite features are the WASHABLE seat pad and lesser-advertised buckle guard. 1) The washable seat pad is amazing because... children. Whether it's baby blowouts or food crumb and mush accumulation from a cross country road trip, the fact that you can safely and easily wash that sucker is a huge bonus! 2) That buckle guard! It's honestly just a small piece of lightly padded fabric attached behind the buckle, but it is a lifesaver. I live in Texas and summers are HOT! And what's the worst part of that? Having to put your poor kid in a roasting hot car seat while doing the don't-touch-the-buckle dance so that it doesn't burn them and simultaneously trying not to pinch those precious baby thighs that are exposed in their cute short shorts. Buckle guard to the rescue! Disaster averted! There's not much to say for drawbacks on this product, but fair warning that it is quite large. It fit well in the back of my compound car and I was impressed my toddler still had leg room, but if you're having to fit three car seats in your back seat or a couple of adults/older kids alongside it, it would be a tight fit. And while the installation and adjustments are easy if you know what you're doing, they're not super intuitive for newbies. I challenged my mom, who has never installed a car seat, to install it and adjust the settings, and even with the instructions (which were a bit confusing) she needed help. We're still rear facing, and I'm beyond excited that this product works well now AND I won't have to buy a new product as babe grows into forward facing and booster territory. The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is a great looking and light weight car seat that was fairly easy to install. I love the darker neutral colors and the generous padding options for comfort and support which can be removed as needed as your child grows. I like that this car seat is noticeably lighter than other convertible options for easy transfer and install. We used the latch system and install was quick and overall easy however it is difficult to sufficiently tighten the strap once latched in (I found looping it back under the seat and pulling from the opposite side worked best for this aspect). The features I like most about this car seat are its very high safety ratings, versatility, dark colors, double, removable cupholders, and the strap holders to each side are game changing! However, I did not like some of the adjustments of the seat to get a good, supportive fit. My son is 10 months old and is approved for the level "2" recline position however, following the instruction booklet I trialed the chest straps in both the lower and upper positions to determine the best and safest fit. While switching strap positions isn't too difficult, the splitter you hook them into doesn't appear to be the most secure. The thing I liked least is tightening the straps in any position. The thick stitching on the straps seems to easily catch in the opening when loosening and tightening and it is frustrating to spend extra time to sufficiently secure your child, especially when they are fussy or fidgeting. Once in and secured, my child appeared comfortable and supported. We have a Toyota 4Runner and this seat fits well without taking up much space from the seat in front of it. I look forward to using this seat with my child as he grows and love that it will likely be the only seat he'll need. As a mom of 4, I have tried a lot of different car seats, many of which were lacking in features. I was lucky enough to be given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. First off, the materials are cool and soft and the colors (Night Horizon) will hide the stains which will inevitably follow. The various stages and large weight limits means that my chucky boys (twins) will be able to continue rear face for at least a year; they are currently 2. Once they hit the 40lb limit, we will move to forward facing and then into seat belt years, this excites me because it means money saved from having to buy a new car seat when those days begin. The best part of all is the brilliant design of the seat which allows these transitions to be easy, pressing the bottom of the car seat and pushing the lever forward, moves you into the next stage and then a twist of the top two handles allows you to pull up and raise the back of the seat to accommodate your child as they grow taller. Installing this seat was simple using latch and the easy to adjust strap. Releasing the strap was painless as well which means I can uninstall the seat with ease, whew! I also appreciate the large chest clip and side holders (love) make them easy to locate when you are wrestling a toddler into their seat. The main (crotch) buckle also has fabric surrounding it which means thighs (or other body parts) won't get pinched when being strapped in (this has happened to my older son with lots of tears). The strap shoulder covers are generously large so they don't fall out of place or flip direction and they are padded and soft so no more rub marks on necks. Cup holders are well placed and overall, the seat is not too heavy or bulky (wide). All the features make me think the designers really listened to parents and added all the bells and whistles that make a car seat easy to use, comfortable, and a great value. Bravo!

I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I also currently own 2 of an older version of this same seat (3 years and counting, currently still in use). I really like that it can grow with my child- it reduces the $ you have to spend over time, it reduces waste/clutter of extra car seats being around, and also bridges the awkward gap between an infant 'bucket' seat and a standard car seat. My kids (2 and 5 yo) both found this seat to be comfortable- the extra padding on the upper buckles and the bottom harness point reduced any pinch points for them. The head rest portion is robust and keeps them nicely confined without being uncomfortable. The cup holders are indispensable for keeping snacks and activities contained. My favorite feature of this car seat is how easy it is to adjust the upper strap height- you pull the levers and push it up or down super easily, you can even do it with the kid in the seat. The seat covers are also really easy to take on and off (without removing the seat) and wash really well over time. My largest complaint about this seat is that tightening the straps over time becomes really hard. The interaction between the belt and the belt path starts to become not 'smooth acting' and you have to use a great deal of force to get it tight. Additionally, there is a seat setting at which one of the anchor buckles on the bottom hits a curved part of the seat and it is nearly impossible to tighten the seat without physically using one hand to guide the belt in the back and the other to tighten it down in the front- which is fine if the car seat is rear facing, but when it is forward facing you can't get your hand behind the seat to 'help' it. As mentioned, we have had 2 of this seat for over 3 years- and it has happened to both seats. The updates in the newer version of this seat are mostly an improved manual and easier to read/understand installation instructions- very much appreciated!

We love this car seat. We have been using it for the past few weeks. Thanks Safety 1st for sending us this car seat to test! I have used it rear facing with my younger daughter and front facing with my older daughter and both kids loved it. It's simple to install and easy to use once the child is in it. I love that the chest strap has a push button because it makes it easier for my kindergartener to get out herself. I feel secure with this seat and know that I am keeping my child safe. And I love that it'll grow with them. You can use it starting at a newborn and my 5 year old will still fit for many years. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

We needed a new seat for our toddler who was just about to outgrow her previous car seat. We also needed a slimmer one and something that was priced right. This fit the bill on all three! Fits well in our midsize SUV alongside our other car seats, priced affordable and our daughter seems very comfy and cozy in her seat. Only slight complain is that the headrest knobs that move both the chest straps and headrest up or down can rattle a bit if your child isn't in the seat. Not a deal breaker at all, just something to be aware of.

First thing I noticed was how much lighter this was to the other car seats I have. I like that it has a place to keep the buckles out of the way when putting my child in the seat. My daughter said it was comfortable. It was easy to adjust it to her height. I didn't like the soft plastic of the cup holders and would prefer a smooth plastic that is easier to wipe clean. Not a big issue since the cup holders are removable and can go in the dishwasher. I didn't have to wash the cover, but I like that it is machine washable. It was the same as installing other car seats with the latch system. Overall this is a great car seat that I would recommend.

We were in a pretty bad car accident. The car was totaled and we rolled a few times! This car seat combined with knowledge on how to buckle my daughter in. She was perfectly fine. Not even a scratch. The car collapsed on the sides and was hit next to her car seat! I do hate the cup holders though! They get lost!

There really isn't anything I like about this car seat. It's difficult to install. In order to tighten to the max we had to recline our seats, tighten as much as we could then bring the seats back to upright. The cushion that they sit on is removable which means every time I sit my toddler down he scrunches it down to where I have to push him forward and dig to get it back up and in it's proper place. Same thing with the latch. It doesn't go forward enough and I sit my boy on it every time and have to dig in his crotch area to retrieve it. The harness also gets stuck to where you have to pull with all your might to try to tighten properly. For a while I thought when I tightened it and it made this locking sound that it was tightened to the max. Finally one day I said this can't be all that it goes and then yanked it as hard as I could (when my boy was not in there) and it did indeed go further. I hate this car seat. This is my 4th kid so I've gone through many. I've had it for a year but I am looking for a better user friendly one.

Ive gone through several car seats for both mine and my spouse's car.. at this point, I consider myself a car seat pro! First off, the install- easy! The car seat is lightweight and I was able to set it up pretty quickly. Always recommend adding some kind of protector for the car seat underneath the car seat, if you want to protect your vehicle though (applies to any car seat!). The car seat is more narrow than another model I have, which is great for space in the car especially when you have 2 kids and need to squeeze someone in the middle. This seat is a good grow with your little one option. The insert for newborns/babies seems very cozy, so you wouldn't need to worry about the wobbly baby head as much. It's easy to remove and washer-safer, which is very convenient. It can be installed rear-facing, then turned when your child grows. I used it forward facing only. I'm a big fan of the removable cup holders. Seems like a small thing but my car seat from another brand doesn't have these and I keep having to give and take sippy and snack cups. The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-In-One Convertible Car Seat is easy to install without the usual stress of installing a car seat. This car seat is durable without being too heavy. The buckles are easier to use than some other car seats. One of the most convenient features are the In and Out Harness Holders making it much easier to put your little one in the seat. There is extra padding throughout the seat which is removable depending on the current size and stage of your little one. The fabric is easy to clean and nice neutral color. Having a removable seat cover that can be both washed and dried is a must! The fabric, padding, and recline positions make for a comfortable ride! Another nice feature are the dual cup holders. They can be used for various cups or even easy access to a toy for entertainment on the drive. The only negative is that the headrest adjustment levers are slightly cumbersome having to use both hands at the same time. I love this all-in-one car seat and the fact that you can use it from 5lbs-100lbs! My sons old car seat wouldn't let him rear-face for any longer and I wanted to keep him in that position for as long as I can, since its much safer. This car seat allows him to stay rear-facing till he's 40lbs! Then, he can change to forward-facing till he's 65lbs and then it can be used as a belt-positioning booster till he's 100 lbs. I will never have to buy another car seat again! So great! This car seat is also super luxurious! Its a quality-made car seat with great cushioning for a comfy ride and has extra side protection around his head, which is really important to me. He's definitely comfy in his seat and loves his two cup holders - perfect for snacks and a drink. I feel like he is really safe and protected when we are riding in our car, which gives me peace of mind. I am very happy with this car seat. This is a great car seat! I obviously haven't tested out it's comfort myself, but my son (8 months) seems to think it's pretty cozy. The strap covers on the neck are GENIUS, and adjust easily. I also love the buckle cover—nothing is worse than pinching a baby with a buckle. There's also a clever little spot to hook the harness out of the way so it's easy to put Baby in without him sitting on the straps. I love that. I docked a star because even with the ability to adjust the seat to 3 different positions, it didn't seem like I could get the car seat's safety line to be completely level in my car. Now that my son is older and has good head control, this isn't a dealbreaker, but had he been a newborn that wouldn't have been safe. On that note, the only way to tell that the seat is level is by a sticker on the side of the seat. I prefer seats that have a little bubble that floats in the middle of a tube when they're level—they're easier to read. Even so, this is a great car seat for my child. I received the Safety First Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat through the Stellar Product Testing Panel several weeks ago to test and review. On first inspection, the seat seems comfortable and easy to use. The compactness of the seat is great when you have a smaller vehicle and two children. With other brand car seats being on the bulkier side, this car seat is a refreshingly smaller size without compromising safety or security. My four-year-old son has told me that he enjoys the Safety First Car Seat and that it is much more comfortable than his last seat, and he is excited to see how it changes into a booster seat once the time comes. It's much easier for him to climb in and out of, and when I have to use the straps, they clip and slide without any struggle, and he is safely strapped in with no issues. One con I have about this seat is that the plastic clips and levers for adjusting the headrest seem cheap and almost breakable with minimal struggle. I am not worried about his safety, but it seems like this detail may have gotten overlooked, or a corner got cut. The seat is easy enough to put in and take out of the car and is aligned with most other convertible car seats. I wouldn't say it is easier or harder to install than other brands. The padding inside the seat is soft and fluffy, and that is definitely why my son says it is much more comfortable. He also had an accident in the seat, and it was simple enough to take out and wash the cover, then reinstall the covering. Overall, this seat is a welcome change and is a good buy. I would say that this seat would be a good purchase and all of the pros outweigh any cons.

Hello, The Grow and GO car seat is NOT safe to use. After properly installing with the guide of the product manual the carseat still moves side to side and back and forth a considerable amount. The user guide recommends using a towel to prop and support the carseat as well as pushing the passenger chair directly up to the back of the carseat for stability. This is NOT safe! We instead went with the Graco Slim Fit and it was MUCH better & not to mention took less than a minute to install, compared to the over 15 minutes this one took to install. NOT ideal for quick transitions or switching carseat. Save yourself the time and DO NOT purchase!!

I would not recommend this car seat to anyone. The straps do not work correctly and won’t tighten the way they should, which makes me feel like it’s unsafe for my child. On top of that, the fabric ripped far too easily, and I’ve only owned it for about 6 months. The cup holders were already cracked when I received it, and for the price I paid, I was very upset to receive it already broken. For something this important and expensive, I expected much higher quality. Very disappointed because I usually love this brand:(

If I could give this car seat 0 stars I would we got it just over a year ago for my son and it’s been nothing but problems since. The cups holders come out so easily my one year old was pulling them out. The headrest cover does not stay on and he pulls it off. LUCKILY he hasn’t broken the styrofoam yet. The harness will slowly widen on you to the point it’s constantly falling no matter what you do with it. Pinch test, loosen straps, extra tighten, bump the head rest up. THEY WILL FALL DOWN. My point is literally avoid this car seat and this brand. Waste of money.

So disappointed in shipping, it was literally delivered in a banged up cardboard box, no shipping material, or original box, no padding, no paperwork, just someone dropping the carseat in a cardboard box, so disappointing and unprofessional, especially coming from the actual company.

We are huge fans of this car seat! It's lightweight (easy to transfer to other cars as needed), has easy to clean fabric (a game changer), and most importantly has critical safety features (like side impact protection). After reading the instruction manual and simple to follow instructions, I was able to install it by myself in about 15 minutes. My three year old just transitioned to forward facing, and it was easy to use my car's seat belt to lock the seat in place. It is great peace of mind knowing how secure it is. I really like that the seat's design is a smaller footprint than other car seats giving us more overall space since we have a baby to fit in our backseat as well as a pup. The lining feels plush and I love the buckle covers to ensure no one gets pinched. My son, who is very particular about fabric and comfort, says the seat is much more comfortable than his previous car seat (Gracco brand). I also love that the car seat can grow through all stages of childhood, and that this will be with him when he's big enough for a booster seat. To me, this is such a critical feature and wished I had this car seat before we bought a separate infant one. The Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat is the best budget convertible car seat. Before installing I did have my child sit in the seat and adjusted the headrest according to the front facing instructions. To adjust the headrest you twist the levers to move the headrest up or down. You MUST make sure it's securely locked in. I thought it was but after a couple days I noticed it had worked it's way back down to the original position. I readjusted while installed and this time very firmly made sure it locked into place. So far it has stayed in place. Another thing that has bothered me about the headrest is the rattle it makes if the head rest is raised and the seat is empty. The LATCH system makes install easy. The belt paths were color coded to identify front or rear facing to help identify the proper path. My little one was able to climb into the seat no problem as well as fasten both the chest strap and buckle without difficulty. To unfasten it and could be done one handed. I like the hooks on the side to hang the straps on when not in use. This is honestly my favorite part about this seat. I did find tightening the straps to be a little difficult. There is a seam in the shoulder strap that gets caught up when pulling it tight. I don't understand the placement for the seam but I don't think that it would pose a safety issue as it securely sewn together. The seat is a nice grey color. The seat pad is easy to remove if needed for cleaning. I will say that after a few weeks that there is already an impression on the seat from where my LO sits. She does say that it's not as comfortable as her old seat but likes the cups holders. The cup holders are within reach and actually closer than the seat that she would usually sit in. As a parent, it can be so overwhelming trying to select a car seat for your child (or children, if you have multiples). When my family was gifted the safety first car seat by the stellar panel, we were so intrigued that this specific car seat offered it all in one! PROS: 1) Strong structure. The material that is used is strong and reliable. 2) The cushioning and fabric is very comfortable. It's soft, but also firm. 3) It's an all in one car seat. We were not able to test out putting a newborn in there, as we have a toddler. However, we are currently trying. And it's awesome to know that when we do have our next little one (and more possibly) we do the have the option to use this one. 4) The cup holders are detachable. If I need more space, I can simply take them out. But when needed, I can just easily plop them back in at any given time. 5) The whole thing is super easy to recline. And the headrest goes up and down. 6) It's a very slim design, but also large enough to allow for growth CONS: 1) It doesn't remove with a carrier, like most newborn specific car seats. So you would have to come up with a different system. 2) It has hooks and not clips. All new vehicles have bars, that you clip the seat into. If you have an older car that doesn't have the bars, this would be better. But it can be a little bit tougher to get in and out vs the styles that have the clips. This car seat is wonderful! Safe and comfy, We really do love it. But even though it's setup for all sizes, my husband and I aren't sure if we'd actually use it for a newborn phase! Newborn specific car seats are made to easily click in and out of the car with ease and efficiency, and this car seat is tricky to get in and out of the car. However, all other phases-we believe this car seat would be perfect for!

I would recommend this car seat 100 times over and then some. I was in a very serious car accident last week and both of my kids were in tue car. My son was in the safety first grow and go csr seat and came out with just a bump on his head, bruise on his neck, and a scratch THAT'S IT!! This car seat Helped save my sons life and I could not be happier!! Thank you to those who designed this seat, you have no clue how much I appreciate the way you made it. Any other seat i dont know if he would still be here. I added a pictures of my car to show what he went thru, it isn't pretty so beware!

We were in a serious accident with our children. Our truck went into the ditch , hit a culver pipe, endowed and hit a telephone pole, I the truck was totaled and the car seat was not damaged at all and my 1 year only had a mark on the side of his head.

I received this product to try, courtesy of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the Safety 1st Grow and Go. I've been looking for a convertible car seat that can grow with my child but is also light-weight because we travel a fair amount and I want one seat to cover all my bases. This seat is about 10 lbs lighter than almost every other convertible seat on the market - I'm a little nervous it's so light, but the body of the seat still seems strong and protective. Plus, it's got several features I didn't expect to see in such a price-conscious seat: removable cup holders, a no-rethread harness with adjustable headrest, buckle padding, and seatbelt holders. My almost four-year-old found it super comfortable and loved the extra long shoulder belt covers because she sometimes gets bothered by the chest clip on other seats. I also have a one-year-old who is going to be the primary user of the seat, but I love that the lower latch system is very quick to move from the rear-facing to forward-facing position when I do need to use it for my older child. When my younger is using rear-facing, I love the option of two recline positions so I can save space and make more room for the front passenger (note, infants unable to sit on own only have one recline option). Though I have not tried to wash the car seat pads, they seem pretty easy to disassemble and have straight-forward care instructions. The round harness button is a little hard to push and release, so I do prefer a square button. The seat also has basic rather than push-button lower latch clips, but I haven't had any issues using them as long as I loosen the straps before trying to unclip the latches. The seat has been an easy install for me and also the grandparents.

This is the 4th car seat we've tried, and I finally feel like we found the one that's just right! This model checked all the boxes for us and didn't compromise on anything. I absolutely love that this Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat will be the LAST one we'll ever need for our son. It's setup to actually grow with him. The adjustable headrest design is so simple to use and absolutely genius! The height it's able to reach, will make it last until he no longer needs even a booster. The harness holders and removable cupholders are an absolute MUST too. The cupholders twist into place, so you don't have to worry about the kiddos just pulling them out and tossing them about the car...we've been there, done that, but no more! The seat inserts are super comfy too, so my son has stopped fighting me when getting him into his car seat and can even tolerate a longer road trip without a big fuss. They really did think about daily, practical uses for this car seat, not just safety and meeting the bare minimum requirements. On the topic of safety though, it exceeds Federal Safety Standards, has the IIHS Good Bet rating for use in booster mode, and has side impact protection. I feel totally at peace having my son in this car seat. With all that said, I saved the best for last...the installation process. Remember how I mentioned this being our fourth car seat? Yeah...that equates to figuring out how to install FOUR car seats. Nightmare fuel, for sure. My previous experiences had me dreading this installation, but after reading the instructions, and a quick mental pep-talk, this one was a breeze! Seriously! I have a small SUV, and we've always tried to use the lower anchors for our car seat installs. I was super skeptical about the lower anchor belt and feeding it through the rear-facing belt path, but it worked really well, like really, REALLY well. They recommended tightening it by reaching into the rear-facing belt path to pull the free end of

This is not a safe car seat. The straps don’t tighten evenly, so one side will be very loose and the other side will be very tight. The strap to pull to tighten constantly gets jammed. The only way to fix it is to take the car seat entirely out of the car, flip it over and fix the strap. The straps are always somehow getting twisted. It’s impossible to get the car seat completely fastened and tightened to the car. I really wanted to like this car seat. It presents as very comfortable, and I loved that it was affordable as well, but in this case it seems that you get what you pay for.

My child is just turning 17 months old we had not had the car seat long but are very disappointed in it's installation stability for rear facing mode, when turning corners the seat leans almost completely on its side and the only way to correct this was to wedge it in place with the front seat. Obviously our solution is not safe and the car seat needed to be replaced immediately

4 stars cause can’t nothing be perfect sorry. It’s a good car seat bought it for the looks graco is overall good but for a cheap alternative this is a great seat sans club and Walmart always has deals I bought this due to color my daughter enjoys it I’m happy about it still reading the book and learning but overall great product if installed and used PROPERLY!!!

This is the car seat that we have bought 2 of for my granddaughter. Today we were in a high impact collision from behind. The person who hit us was in a 40 ton loaded dump truck. My granddaughter came out with bruising from the belts but walked away where it could have been very different.

We were given the Safety 1st Grow and Go All-in-One Convertible Car Seat from Stellar Product Testing Panel for the last couple of weeks to test its performance with my 2 year old son. As a mom of 2 and one on the way, one of the best parts of the car seat is it fits at infancy and grows with your children, saving you money from having to upgrade the kids seats as they grow. The cushions and texture of the interior of the car seat are luxurious to the touch and EASY TO CLEAN, even the shoulder straps. The material repels liquids and makes for fast cleanup. The cover comes off and goes on easily for washing. The dark gray color that we were given (Harvest Moon), hides stains and appears to look cleaner longer. Pros: Luxurious soft cloth that is easy to clean Easy to remove and install cloth seats, shoulder pads & cups to clean Long tightening strap to grab onto to tighten children in Easy to adjust the height for proper fit of growing child Clear instructions ON car seat & online Chest latch & belt buckles are secure and toddler cannot undo Pockets to store buckles out of the way for easy in & out of child Fits well in crossover suv w plenty of room for the child's feet facing backwards Padded chest clip for comfort Cons: I dislike having to pull to tighten the side anchors. It's very hard for me to get the strap tight enough to safely secure and transport a child. My husband has to install this type of system for me. I wish this car seat had a hand cranking mechanism that allows you to turn a crank wheel to tighten the strap, enabling all strengths of people to install. I would prefer a bubble level on seat for leveling the seat instead of replying on a printed line on the side of the seat. Needs a handle in the back of the seat for easier carrying. Overall this car seat is very safe. There are some upgrades that would make using the car seat more convenient but it is an excellent car seat in comfort, cleaning and SAFETY for all stages of growth.

This seat has all the safety features you expect like side impact protection, firm seat belt latches that children cannot undo and a few extras. The seat is draped in soft silky luxurious fabric that is comfortable for my son and easy to clean for me. The cover is full of padding, including behind the chest clip, which is usually the most uncomfortable part of the seat for a child. The cushioning also comes off and goes on easily for cleaning, as do the cup holders. There is a very long tightening strap, that allows you plenty of strap to grab and pull to tighten. Side buckle storage so that the safety straps stay out of the way when getting your child in and out. The adjustments as your child grows are as easy as moving two latches and lifting or lowering, no messing with straps. Finally, it fits easily in my crossover with plenty of leg room when facing backwards. There are some upgrades that would make using the car seat more convenient. I do not like side anchors that require pulling to tighten. I'm not strong enough to tighten them down and my husband always has to do this for me, which limits my ability to transfer the car seats on my own. I much prefer anchors that have a ratcheting wheel that you turn to tighten. This allows people of any strength to install. I'd also prefer a bubble level to ensure the car seat is in the right position; there is only had a printed line for reference on this one. Finally, a handle built into the back for ease of carrying would help with transporting. Both my child and myself like this car seat for its comfort, safety, ease of use and cleaning and growth.

I am using this Safety First Convertible car seat rear facing with my 22 month old. I tested it out on my 5 year old as well and it also fit her and was easy to adjust for the correct fit. This is a definite plus. Growing with your child is easy and convenient. Or if you carpool and use the car seat with kids of different heights, making adjustments is easy. Installing the seat was very straight forward and not complicated. We installed it rear facing in our F150 between two other car seats. And did not have a problem with it fitting and getting it secured. Since the car seat is between two other car seats, getting our child in to that spot is a little cumbersome (nothing to do with the car seat) but strapping our toddler in is not. Granted, there's not much you can do if your toddler decides they don't want to sit ;) The buckles are pretty standard. I didn't have any issues with clipping them in place and tightening the straps. I did notice one side was pulling tighter than the other so I just pulled the straps down by the lap to even out the adjustment and after that it has been fine. One of my favorite features is the head rest adjustment. It is very easy to use and I like the two lever adjustments that move it up and down. However, the only con here is they did make a rattling noise while driving which was a little annoying. My other favorite feature is the size of the cup holders. Some of the car seats I have used in the past have had small cup holders that cannot fit a metal children's water bottle inside. These are big enough to fit a water bottle and my toddler can reach them while seated which is convenient. They also can be removed for easy cleaning. Which is another plus. My child seems quite comfortable in the seat. The fabric is smooth, soft, and durable. I'm glad I was able to test out this convertible car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was pleased with the product, ease of use and installment, and convenient features.

I have a 7 month old baby that weighs 18 lbs, we installed the car seat in rear facing mode. We had previously been using a regular car seat that my baby a always fussed in. After receiving this car seat my baby hasn't fussed once! I love that it can grow with my baby and will be used for a lot of years. It is very spacious but also bulk. I drive an SUV & it is pretty bulk, I had to put it in the middle seat because it is reclined all the way and wouldn't fit in the side seats. I took a while installing it moving it from the side to then the middle trying to adjust it the best I could. I read the instruction manual and watched the installation video multiple times, at the end the car seat moved a lot if I pushed it which made me feel unsafe. I tried installing it with the latch system as well as the car seat belts but it still continues to move more than 1 inch if I push it. I drove with it without my baby in it at first and it did not move despite making purposeful sharp turns. So I decided to drive with my baby in it & it has not moved positions. It still makes me uneasy that I can move it so easily by pushing it but my baby loves the comfort of the seat. If I could give zero stars for customer support I would. Bought their product. One of the cups was missing from the box when I unpacked the seat. I reached out to the company through the support website. Asked if they would send me a cup or did I need to return to Walmart. They sent an automatic reply and said they would contact me. Waited 5 business days with no reply, sent another email. Received no answer with a second email. I wouldn’t recommend spending your hard earned money with a company with poor customer support.

This brand of car seat is horrible. It’s impossible to get it secure. I’ve read though their instructions so many times as for there might be something I missed. I’ve watched video after video. I’ve tried everything. It absolutely will not snug down. It’s a total junk. My other car seats don’t even budge. This one still slides from side to side once you get it cinched down.

Do not buy! It has major rear seating installation issues! I cannot believe it has not been recalled. I believe it is very unsafe even when following the manual and videos perfectly. I have had five different people try to help me read the manual and follow EVERY instruction and each time the car seat fails to be secure when in rear facing, even when the anchors are tightened as much as they can, the seat ball is pulled tightly and locked, and the car seat is at the lined up at the perfect angle. (review based on my experience and my opinion)

This seat is amazing except for the simple fact that we can't get the harness straps to tighten as they need to be. It takes my body builder husband nearly all his weight to pull the straps to get it to tighten hardly at all. We try to avoid using this seat for that reason only. I'm hoping as our daughter grows into a larger toddler and into childhood that the seat might work better for us.
