Honestly, it depends on your baby. My first hated it, total waste. My second lived in it for 4 months. But 4 months is not long for something so expensive. I'd say buy used or borrow one first. Also, the Baby Bjorn bouncer lasted way longer and my kids liked it just as much.

The app and Bluetooth connectivity are more frustrating than helpful. It randomly disconnects, and the manual controls are easier. Also, ours started making a grinding noise after 2 months. It's not the magic solution it's marketed as. Save your money and get a simple swing or bouncer.

Comparing Mamaroo to cheaper swings
We used a Graco swing that was 1/3 the price and it did the job. The Mamaroo is sleek but my neighbor's broke after 3 months. For something they use less than 6 months, I can't justify the cost. A manual bouncer is even better value and lasts longer.
