Community Q&A
- Is the rotating base supposed to have wiggle/play after installation?
- According to one CPST, a slight wiggle in the rotating mechanism may be expected but excessive movement in the base indicates a problem.
- How does the Safety 1st turn and go compare to the Graco Turn2Me?
- Main difference is that the Graco only rotates in rear-facing mode; the Safety 1st rotates in both directions. The Graco may have a smoother rotation mechanism.

Installation concerns and rotation button difficulty on Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 DLX
Another con was the mechanism to release the swivel. I found it extremely difficult to press while also trying to rotate the seat. I ended up needing two hands, which defeats the purpose when you also have a toddler you’re trying to wrangle. I also noticed that after installation, the base had more wiggle than I was comfortable with. I followed the manual and the videos exactly, but I couldn’t get it rock solid.

Comparison of rotating car seats and recommendation for Safety 1st vs Evenflo
I have the Safety 1st turn and go. I do like it but the button to rotate is definitely stiff. I also have the Graco turn2me and I much prefer the button on that. The main difference is the Graco only turns when rear facing, while the Safety 1st also turns front facing. If you have the budget, the Evenflo 360 is often recommended as the gold standard.

Question about wiggle in the rotating mechanism, with CPST response
OP: 'Is this normal? There’s a lot of wiggle where the seat attaches to the base.' / CPST: 'A little wiggle in the actual rotation part can be normal. However, if the entire base is moving more than one inch at the belt path, then it's not installed correctly. The base itself should be rock solid.'

Positive experience with rotating seat and magnetic chest clip
We just got the Safety 1st Turn and Go 360 DLX and honestly love it. The magnetic clip is a game changer. So easy to buckle even with a squirming toddler. The rotation makes it so much easier on my back, especially in a low car. Installed fine in our SUV, though I can see how it might be tough in a smaller car.
