I did a ton of research and ended up with the Graco Ultra 2-in-1. It's dual-sided, has the safety certs, and is so much cheaper than some of the bougie brands. My baby sleeps great on it.

We got the Graco Ultra and it did smell when we first opened it. Let it air out for 3 days and the smell was completely gone. Baby doesn't seem bothered.
